Novaaaaa you missed me D:
Gimme one!
Dana nodded, before realising how utterly pointless the motion had been. Ah well, maybe someone in the world saw it and appreciated it anyway. Hell, maybe if she looked pretty enough the pharaoh would just give them his soul. Was that even possible? She had no idea, but she intended to find out. There was a very, very brief moment where she had the worry of what if the pharaoh doesn't think she was pretty, but then it occurred to her the pharaoh probably wouldn't be blind so there was no chance of that happening. "Yup you left a mark, it's all squiggly and awesome. As for going left...hmm....you know what? Why the heck not. It smells like old people the strongest down there, and the pharaoh has gotta be pretty old so it's a sure thing" the girl stated, proud of her logical decision. Chaol leaped off of the plane and landed onto the ground gracefully and elegantly, as though he had done it a thousand times beforehand. He hated flying, always had. The entire time he'd spent on the plane he had been a nervous wreck. Instead of being his usual calm, composed self, he had been clinging to the seat for what seemed to be five years of endless, consistent torture. But now he was free, and he silently made a promise to himself that he would never again set foot in one of those machines, just as he did everytime he got off of one before he inevitably broke that promise. "I thought that flight would never end" he said, yawning and stretching his arms as he did so. He was about to suggest setting out in search of information, but just as he opened his mouth to speak he was cut off by, of all things, a cat. A talking cat. He'd never seen one of those before. Walking over and kneeling down, at first he poked it in the side and then he gave it a very brief pat. "Huh, talking animals are new to me. Who taught you to do that little guy? If you tell me I might be able to obtain a fish for you, and a tummy rub too" he encouraged.
They needed to get going to the beacon, and they needed to do it fast. Much as he wanted to catch up with Anan- holy crap how far he had fallen...since when had he gotten along with Ananta? Anyway, much as he wanted to catch up with Ananta and get to know this Xara person, getting out of the realm of darkness was a priority. Who knew how long the beacon of light would last? So, turning to face Xara, he held out his left hand. "Glen Senka, keyblader of Aatarsilu. Or ex-keyblader now, I guess. I'm the resident drunk and probably the most stupid of all of us that isn't Karina in a temper tantrum. Nice to meet you" he said, then whether or not she shook his hand because i'm not going to powerplay and control Maka's character since that's a big no-no and I don't want lord SOK to smite me where I stand, he turned and pointed towards the beacon. "To the beacon, and hopefully some good food!" he exclaimed, starting to head towards the giant beam of light. He hadn't actually realised until he'd mentioned food just at that point, but he hadn't actually eaten anything since entering the realm of darkness. Was hunger also slowed, just as aging was? That would be really weird, and even if it was why the heck did that matter? Shrugging off the thought, he focused on the task at hand; escaping.
Running along, Glen wasn't making quite as much progress towards the beacon as he would've liked. He'd felt a little weaker before, but now that he was actually running he could notice the lack of speed. He noticed he was tiring out faster too..what had that witch done to them? He was brought out of his thoughts by an ice ball hitting him in the head, causing the ex-keyslinger to come to a halt. Hikaru wasn't in the direction he'd felt the ice ball hit him, which could only mean that there really were others in the realm of darkness with them! It didn't even occur to him that maybe the creature throwing the ice ball might not be friendly, and all thoughts of keeping a low profile went out of his head, he turned and began heading towards the shadowy figure that had hurled the ice ball at him. Besides, they didn't seem to be very far from the light beacon at all, they could get there pretty quickly if things turned bad. As he got near, he finally saw who it actually was. "Hey, Ananta!" he called out. Of all people, he certainly hadn't expected to find her there. He couldn't quite pick where she'd gone missing, but now that he thought about it he hadn't really noticed her absence, which only made him feel bad. Oh well, at least she'd be found now, and that was the main thing? "Was it you who hit me in the skull with ice?" he questioned, before noticing the other person with Ananta. He didn't say anything to her, however, he had more important matters to deal with. Besides, Hikaru seemed to be a lot more sociable than he was, maybe he knew who this person was, and if he didn't well then he probably would in a matter of moments.
Was going to do Immortals from Big Hero 6, but I can't seem to get it right. Might revisit that one at a later date, but for now I'll be doing I'm still here Time to see if I've gotten better after all. Might need a hand with mixing too. (if anyone desperately wants to do this one I can give Immortals another shot, you'll just have to let me know within the next 48 hours or so!)
Once he'd been freed from the bubble, Donald swiveled around a little, slightly clueless look on his face as he did so. They were completely and utterly screwed. He had absolutely no idea where they were, and even less idea of where they should be going. He quickly straightened himself up and did his darn best to look as though he were completely calm and sure of himself. That went out the window Pete slapped him on the back of the head. With a loud outcry, he must have jumped at least five feet in the air. As he came down, he turned to face Pete. "Hey what's the big idea?!" he asked, furrowing his brows down as he did. However, he did calm himself by the very smallest margin and turned around to show his back to Pete, crossing his arms. "I know where we are. We need to go...." he said, before a single bead of sweat caused by his nerves went down his face, "uh...uhhh....this way!" he declared, pointing straight ahead and starting to walk in the direction he'd pointed in.
Bonnie, Clyde, Buck, Blanche, and William Jones. If they're just simple thieves like they sound, I shouldn't have to take their lives. I hope they're simple thieves, that'd be tough to try to explain to Hannah if I had to outright try to assassinate, Chaol thought to himself, the look of focus as intense as it ever was before a mission. While he didn't always come off as the most casual, carefree person, the difference between how he was while not on a mission and how he was on a mission was astounding. Though he hadn't been part of the Dancing Blades' intense training routine for very long, with how tough and harsh they were on the people that messed up...you really learned to keep your emotions in check very quickly. He was brought out of his own thoughts by Matthew finishing speaking. He'd heard most of it, it just hadn't really registered until that point. "Hmm? Yeah, yeah...plane sounds good. Gets us there quickly, go for the call. Shouldn't be there more than one day" the boy agreed, half murmuring the first few words. This was it, this was his and Hannah's first mission together, and more than that it was with another weapon and meister combination. Were they ready? Was he ready for this? He figured he was about to find out, whether he liked it or not. @Marushi @Midnight Star "Why can't they ever just make tombs and stuff straightforward? Have a pharaoh buried at the end of a really, really long, straight hallway. Maybe lined with gold or something, but enough with the twisties and turnies. It's enough to drive a girl off the deep end" Dana whined as they neared the part where the paths diverged. She was really happy she was being carried, but mazes and riddles were two things she did not like one bit. They always required so much thinking to get done, and thinking was not her strong suit. She sighed, followed by a quick "Well I guess right is the best way to go" @Maka Albarn
Chaol nodded, showing his agreement with the suggestion that had been presented. "That's a fantastic idea Hannah. I'm all for meeting up tomorrow, it gives me more time to work on my aim" the assassin stated, before glancing towards Matthew and Mikio. "You'd better watch out, I'm going to become a crack shot in just under a day, just you wait and see" he declared, allowing half a smirk to show. He wasn't entirely comfortable with shooting at his future allies, but maybe it could work. At the very least they'd be able to plan a few tactics based on each others' weaknesses. Yeah, it could really work. Starting to walk away, he paused for a brief moment, as if he were going to say something else, before shrugging his shoulders and continuing on. He had some skills to sharpen. As the doors opened once more, Dana wandered over to one of the souls and poked it. It felt a little weird, but then again what had she expected it to feel like? "Ah well, bottom's up" she murmured, before grabbing it and placing it in her mouth. She chewed on it for a moment, before swallowing it. The girl simply stood there for about thirty seconds to let the flavour sink in, before she hurried over to another one of them and threw that one into her mouth. "Oh my gosh Zoey these taste amazing" she said, her words distorted slightly from speaking with her mouth full. Once she'd finished with that one, she proceeded to eat the rest of the souls that had been laying around, and then fell backwards with a quiet burp and a pat of her tummy. "Whew, can't wait to see what the other path's going to taste like. Alright Meister, lead the way, your fat little weapon is going to have to be carried again!" the young woman announced, before that familiar pale blue glow enveloped her and she transformed into her quarterstaff form. Her first soul devouring as a weapon was something interesting to say the least, and damn was she looking forward to having more. It almost saddened her to think one day she'd become a death scythe and not have to devour kishin souls anymore....although she figured lord death would have to have some wicked candy. At least, he'd better, because there was no way anyone was going to be her partner and not feed her.
In undoubtedly the worst situation Glen had been in thus far, the ex-keyblade wielder had been wandering the realms of darkness for quite some time now with almost no hope of escape. He'd lost track of how long he and Hikaru had been trapped in there for, but if he had to guess he would've said probably a good couple of months. With each day, the spark of light grew dimmer within him, and hope seemed almost as existent as Disneytown at that point, nd yet they still pushed on. What other choice did they have? "Hey Hikaru, what do you think the others are doing right now?" he asked. It was a question he'd asked just a few moments after meeting up with Hikaru in the realm of darkness, although he wasn't sure if his friend had heard him ask it. He liked to try and remind himself that the others were okay, he refused to allow that faint ray of hope to be extinguished, he wouldn't accept that the others were lost forever. If he'd survived, then surely they'd all be okay. He couldn't lose everything for a second time. Trudging along, his feet were beginning to tire out and as usual there was no sign of escape. However, just as he was about to admit defeat he felt something a little unusual. A slight warmth. Nothing too powerful, but it was definitely there. That was impossible though, that would mean there would have to be- A beam of light came crashing down from the heavens, cutting Glen off mid-thought as it lit up the area a fair distance away from him. With the light returning, so too did his enthusiasm. 'In the deepest depths of darkness, there will always be a light to guide you' his father had told him, but Glen had never thought it would be so literal! "Well, I think we've spent enough time in here. Last one to escape's a stinky black fungus!" he called out, before breaking into a run towards the beacon.
SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! *clears throat* I wouldn't mind Sunday, but you know it's no biggie. It's....whatever, you know. Yeah. Indifferent. edit: Well, turns out I couldn't even record today anyway, something came up. Go figure.
"That's it, hit it until it's dead.....re-dead....uh....dead again?" Dana questioned in a very confused tone. Sometimes she confused herself, this was one of those times, she always figured it was a case of her brain being too stupendous even for her to comprehend. "Hey Zoey do you think if I eat enough souls I'll get fat?" she asked with a slight giggle. "No, I don't think you would get fat," Zoey said with a slight smile. She jabbed the spear into one mummy, and kicked another down. She spun around, blocking a mummy hand from swinging on her and then grunted when the hand grabbed the middle and pulled. Zoey pulled back, keeping a strong grip on Dana and digging her heels into the floor. "Yeah but nobody really KNOWS do they? I mean, has anyone ever asked a weapon? What if they- watch out, mummy on your left" Dana warned. "Got it," Zoey ripped the quaterstaff out of the monster's hand, stepping back and blocking the upcoming one. She then spun around it and stabbed it from behind, then got the other one taken care of. "My dad helped collect souls for a weapon. I don't think they ever got fat." A gasp from Dana, followed quickly by "Maybe I can be the first!" "First one to get fat you mean off of souls?" She stopped short, realizing there was nothing more to hit. She straightened, feeling all the dark energies in the room evaporate. "Huh... that was it?" "Yeah! And it sure looks like it"
Chaol simply listened as the suggestions were put forth and introductions were made, and was about to respond to Matthew when Mikio spoke up. Truth be told, he'd been a little nervous about the idea of firing actual arrows, and though he had seen it as somewhat necessary he hadn't been sure if he could actually go through with it knowing others would be at risk. "Arroway. Chaol Arroway" he answered at last, before looking at Mikio. "I like your idea. It gives me a much more realistic target to hit, while ensuring nobody comes to harm. The only problem I can identify with it is that Matthew won't be able to get much practice with being offensive with the claws if he's kept at a range. Perhaps we could alternate attacking and defending? Of course, while I'm on defensive I'll be simply practicing evasive maneuvers so it won't be a great deal of help, but it's better than nothing and I can promise you I'm much lighter on my feet than I look" Chaol suggested. He felt a little guilty for even suggesting the idea of close range combat earlier...how had he not picked up on Hannah's reluctancy sooner? He wouldn't make that mistake again if he could help it, that was for sure.
While Dana jumped a little at the sudden sound of doors closing, Zoey stood straight when she heard the door shut behind her and realized that they were trapped in a room."Well that didn't sound good..." She heard a door open and stood alert, instantly sliding into a defense position. Strange monsters came out of the wall and Zoey clenched her teeth together. "Ah man, this isn't our day. Then again..." She looked to Dana, who was kind of frozen with a giddy look on her face, and held out her hand. "Come on, real life training starts now," she declared, forcing a smirk on her face. "Change into your weapon, and let's kick some monster butt." About a hundred thoughts were racing through Dana's mind as her Meister spoke, but one was more prominent than the others. This was her chance to prove to everyone that even a lazy weapon could make it, and to live out all those exploration movies she'd watched as a child. Heck, she was already living one of them! The very idea of it made her feel super energetic and confident, like she could take on the world. "These mummies won't know what hit them!" Dana exclaimed with a slight giggle before she was engulfed in a light blue glow and transformed into her weapon form. "Tear them a new one Zoey, be the quarterstaff master meister" the girl encouraged, enjoying the situation a little too much. Perhaps she wasn't taking the mission as seriously as she should, but that sounded like something that required effort and effort was not something Dana was particularly fond of. Besides, they had the mission in the bag, it would be a piece of cake.....she tried not to drool at that last thought. Zoey grinned as she grabbed Dana's weapon form, twirling the middle wooden part over her wrists with her hands. Her father, a former meister at the DWM, taught her staff form first before anything else. He wasn't going to let his daughter be so defenseless out in the world, not with this curse of a sickness in her eyes. Zoey twisted her wrist and grabbed Dana's handle, swinging it down to point at the enemy coming at her. She took a moment to feel the hum of their souls united in the same cause and inhaled deeply. "Here we go!" She charged forward, swinging Dana up and knocked a mummy down by the neck. She felt another slice at her with hands and kicked it in the stomach, using this to step on the enemy, knocking it to the ground as she practically walked up it. She twisted her body and flipped around, moving Dana's spear tip downward into a head of a mummy that was flailing forward with no direction. Taking the staff out of the head that was now unraveling, she landed with a thud, her arms and quarterstaff stretched out to balance her fall, and then gripped Dana tighter as she took just a second to hear the enemies and saw the orbs of their souls. "A few more to go, more are coming," she said under her breath. "That's okay, more souls to eat later. I wonder what they taste like, I bet they're all slimy and gooey and....oh my god what if they're chocolate?" Dana asked with a quick squeal.
Chaol shrugged his shoulders. "Well if you're sure about me picking, then why not work with these two? You said we'd work well with close range allies, claws are about as close range as you can get. Not only that, but the mission seems interesting, so I'm sure we could all come to some sort of agreement and partake. Training together though.." he said, giving a half-grin, "part of me is thinking that I'm not sure how we could train with others using the bow, but at the same time maybe this could be my chance to prove to you that the blades are useful too? I dunno, that one's your call" Chaol Arroway declared, mostly indifferent to how things progressed. If he did work with others, how well would he be able to manage? He was a little concerned about that, but he didn't want to show it. The less Hannah had to worry about, the better. He'd been on very few team-orientated missions, and those that he did he'd had almost no contact with his partners...would this one be the same? He was just thankful that he'd been able to suppress his assassin instincts up until that point, and thankful that the environment they were in was relatively stress-free.
Saturday's the only day I have to record this week, as I already said. So no, no there is not. Sorry about that, I wish I could.
A full novel, just using the universe she created. I did ask for permission and everything, but yeah definitely a novel.
I am so doing this. Calls are a little early but should be able to make a few of them. I'll be writing a novel that I hope to one day be published, and one i've been trying to get the motivation to start for a few months. It's set in a universe that was created by @Maka Albarn in what is hands down one of my favourite roleplays, and centres around a guy who seems to be discovering telepathic abilities happening all of a sudden at the same time as he begins having strange dreams. Turns out, he was a pretty powerful telepath who wiped his own memory in order to gain some control, and those memories are slowly starting to return, and with them comes the slow return of his "dark side" that simply wants to abuse the powers and wreak absolute havoc across the city.
Chaol shook his head as Hannah finished speaking. "Meister reminds me too much of master, sounds a little too formal for my taste too. Chaol will do. As for training, I agree wholeheartedly. It'd be foolish for anyone to start on a mission so soon after meeting, without the synchronisation of soul wavelengths it would make things exponentially harder, so training's a great idea' the assassin said, stepping past Hannah. "For the record, I will hit the centre of that target when we get back, mark my words" Chaol added, with a quick laugh at the end of it before continuing to the mission board. He sounded so serious, it cracked him up a little. As he got to the mission board, Chaol found himself a little surprised that more students weren't at the mission board. Though he'd already expressed his opinion on doing one immediately, gathering information was a crucial aspect of any mission. He recognised both of the students from the day before, and remembered both of the names although he couldn't quite remember which one belonged to which. "Matthew and Mikio, eager to start yourselves on a mission already?" he asked, giving the closest thing to a greeting he could manage due to him being a little distracted looking over towards the mission board. Shooting a glance at his weapon partner before returning his gaze to the board, he asked "So Hannah, which one are we doing?" Dana tensed up, ready to throw herself out of the way of the arrow that she thought was coming at a moment's notice. However, she didn't have to as the pyramid opened up for them. She breathed out a huge sigh of relief, and then heard Zoey asking which way they should go. "WE LIVEEEE" she exclaimed, before standing up and taking a couple of steps forward, being careful not to set off any traps that may be there. Taking a quick look, she quickly gathered she wasn't going to be able to see too much of use. "Let's go straight. Left is giving me strange vibes, and right surely can't be right, because if right were right then that'd be too convenient for me to feel alright, right? Also Lord Death did say it was a labyrinth, and it seems weird to have a labyrinth come to an end at the side of a giant triangle. Makes more sense to be in the middle, I think. I don't know, I'm mainly just rambling and thinking out loud. You're the one that can see souls right? Can't you...I don't know, can't you sense where the kishin one is?" the girl asked, curiousity arising within her. She had no idea how far Zoey could 'see' the souls from, but if she could see the kishin's from where they were then the mission would be a piece of cake, and boy did she love cake.
As Zoey said the numbers, Dana excitedly jumped to her feet and went to push in the numbers. "5, 9, we got this, 2, 1, damn we're good, 0, 1, 1....and 9! There we go, open up you dumb tomb thing!" Dana shouted, grinning broadly. Immediately an arrow shot out, causing the girl to yelp and leap out of the way, but maintain the cheery grin. However, that grin gradually faded, and turned to a look of confusion, theeeen defeat, and then panic. "WE'RE GONNA DIEEEEEEEE" she wailed, collapsing to her knees and putting her hands over her head.
