Kill la Kill was the first anime my girlfriend and I watched at the same time, as it was airing, so it also has significance for me.

And who are your cosplay dreams?

Genji main. I've had two matches without deathes so far.

I also really enjoy Tracer and Bastion and Mei.

I've been trying to not necessarily lose weight, but convert at least a bit of my fat into muscle for Phoenix Comicon (first week of June) and Anime Expo (first week of July.)

Part of my motivation is my girlfriend doing something similar but much more involved, including ordering a meal plan.

My routine's pretty simple and honestly doesn't take up that much time: 40 push-ups, 40 sit-ups. I'm also starting to walk/jog again for half an hour each day, though yesterday I skipped that due to basically a full 9-5 day of moving furniture for a friend.

Diet-wise, I've been pretty decent at cutting out soda (only once or twice a week) but I really don't care for counting calories for myself. Totally a me-thing. I'm just guessing that my workouts burn enough calories that I don't have to worry, and I don't eat that much bad food anyway.

It's just an issue of committing to it: I was pretty good at doing the workout every weekday once the Spring semester had ended, but admittedly I've been a bit more lazy and was doing it every other day, be it due to being worn out from hanging out with friends again, or other things.

Oh yeah, trying to throw in a few pull-ups, but they're incredibly tough these days. Back in high school, I was able to do 3x to 4x as many without feeling worn out. Yesterday, I only hit five...hoping to get back to at least 15 before July.

Still no F's throughout my college career so I'm good.

(think I've only had two or three C's in the span of 5+ years)

My current boot is Windows 7. I love it because I know it works perfectly for what I do.

I do eventually want to have Windows 10 for the nifty new stuff, but not if it means losing Windows 7.

Dual-boot means I'd be able to pick which hard-drive (and thus which version of Windows) I use when I turn my computer on.

I kind of get where you're coming from now, but I have these opinions on the specific points:

    • You could always just turn off notifications for emails.
    • Totally agree that it's unfair for professors to send assignment changes the night before, but that's less the fault of the technology and more the fault of the professor.
    • I don't know what's wrong with people having those expectations: I don't think you have to change how you act just because of other people (with this specific thing.) If they get peeved, oh well, it's not their life, it's yours.

How is this specific to a smartphone?

I'll probably do the reverse: keep 7 on my main PC and buy 10 later on when I have enough to just get another SSD and set up a dual boot.

Phones are meant for communication...so I don't see the issue there...if you wanted the internet and games and select communication and stuff just have a laptop or something.

Like I really feel like I'm missing something here.

Then...don't use the navigation part? You can just bring up a map on your phone and navigate on your own.

I never said anyone is going to force anyone else to use a flip phone.

Vinyl sounds better than most other storage forms for music.

Money is a great reason to not have a smart phone too.

I also don't really get the issue of being contacted a lot...why not just turn the thing off at that point? My brother-in-law did this with his work phone when he visited: he brought the thing but never turned it on.

This is the part where I ask what's wrong with owning smartphones that doesn't have to do with other people's habits.

    Ah, I see.

Coincidentally I'm having a bitch of a time trying to find something close enough to the dude's damn shirt.

Thanks. I'm curious what that means but you don't have to try putting it into words if you can't ;p

I have to give props to Naughty Dog; they have a really good sense of fashion.

    Yes this includes Crash.
