Chernabog is evil. You're in a world of darkness where the most powerful heartless reside. When you fight him, you've just finished going to every other world in the game through mini portals and fighting a gang of heartless in each. And you're asking what he's doing there?

I can understand him taking out Dusks in one hit. Sora, Donald, and Goofy all do so in cutscenes. Even Leon takes out a high-level heartless in one hit. But taking out a Darkside in one hit? I'm sorry, but even in cutscenes where it takes so much less to kill them, taking out two extremely large and rather powerful heartless in one hit each is just plain amazing.

Plus, in Hollow Bastion, he was ready to take on Xemnas, and even dove into the portal after him, keyblade drawn. I'm thinking he's pretty powerful.

    It's like this:

    ...........1
    ......3........2
    ...5.............4
    ..7................6
    ...9.............8
    .....11.......10
    ........13.12

Or else flipped. I can't remember which way it is. It may be that the evens are on Xemnas' right instead.

The height of the chairs changes, as is seen in 358/2 Days. In the Twilight Town Day 6 cutscene, Vexen is lowest and Xemnas is highest.

True, Master Xehanort's spell was not normal. But more than being that only a Master has the power to destroy another keyblade, it would more likely be Master Xehanort's magical knowledge and strength that would make the difference. Likely, if the spell had anything to do with it, it would simply nullify the "protective" magical properties of the keyblade.

Well, then, you apparently have no sense of scale or power. I mean, it takes about three hits for Sora to kill just one Dusk in the game, and there were easily several thousand surrounding them at that point. Axel was obviously fighting them since long before Sora arrived, and was probably down to his last bits of strength when the partner battle began (hence why he keeps stopping to pant during the battle).

Think about the effort it takes to get through one thousand heartless in the game - something that takes probably ten to fifteen minutes, with reaction commands that can kill them in one hit. That's one third of the strength it would take Axel's attack to destroy a Dusk. Now, Axel kills off probably twice as many Nobodies here as Sora in the thousand heartless battle, each requiring three times as much strength (a total of a six thousand heartless battle) in just a few seconds, already weakened. He knew that this was suicide, and that he and Sora would not have both made it through alive no matter what. So, to keep Sora/Roxas alive, he took out all of them.

This sufficiently put it in context?

And, on topic, all of that, just for Roxas? That's rather a lot, for it to mean nothing, and for him to just come back out of nowhere. ******ed.

Since Riku vs. Roxas has been confirmed, I don't think it can be anything else. However, I don't think it will be quite as simple as Deep Dive makes it seem. I think it will be more like Xemnas - a three-part battle. First, another thousand heartless battle of Shadows and Neoshadows, in which Riku comes in for a partner battle during the last hundred or so. Then, you fight Riku - Oathkeeper vs. Oblivion. Then, Riku summons the power of darkness and you fight Xehanort's Heartless.

Being able to summon it is part of the magical properties of the keyblade and its weilder - not the physical properties of the weapon itself. It like fire magic - there is nothing to ignite the fire, nor douse (sp?) it as part of the magic, yet while it exists, it still burns as a normal fire because it is fire.

You're second part is an interesting idea, though. Since the keyblade that was entrusted to him was destroyed, can he still summon a keyblade? I honestly have no answer.

Yes, Riku was meant to get the Kingdom Key, not Sora. But that's not the point of my argument. My point is is that Sora got the Kingdom Key, not Way to Dawn. Even if Riku had ended up with the Kingdom Key instead of Sora, and the whole thing gone from that, it would still not connect to Ven because he was not the weilder of the Kingdom Key. Sora could only have inherited Ven's soul via keyblade if he weilded the Way to Dawn.

First off, I don't think his keyblade shattering is anything special. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Metal is a brittle substance in its natural state, and becomes VERY VERY brittle if frozen. From how Ven and his keyblade look in the secret ending, Master Xehanort's blizzard spell appears to be the equivalent of dipping something in liquid nitrogen. Anything, legandary and magical or not, under temperatures that extreme will break when hitting something with the force of gravity.

Now, for the rest of your theory. It is possible that a keychain is created from strong memories of a person, but I have another theory on it. Several of the keychains seem to be normal physical objects attached to a chain that somehow affect the Keyblade: Ultima and Fenrir, for example. I believe that these keychains are just objects, nothing special. But, if that object came from a strong connection to a person or place, then it can have effect on the keyblade.

And it is possible that by breaking the keyblade, Ven lost his memory/connection to that person that gave him that keychain, except that, as people have been repeatedly pointing out, the three knights' keyblades have no keychains, and therefore do not apply to this theory. Also, the keyblade broke, not the keychain. I think it is very likely that the connection would be forever lost were the keychain broken. In that respect, very nice theory

I think that, if they yellow/orange eyes mean anything in particular other than just a cool eye-color, there isn't any difference betwen yellow and orange. Except for Ansem the Wise, whose eyes are very very orange in relation to Xehanort's, I think that they are all meant to have the same color.

As for pointy ears, I think that is more just a trait that certain characters have in this universe.

*sigh* What's with all the bumping going on lately? Seriously, people. CHECK THE DATE BEFORE YOU POST!!

This would be likely, but for the fact that Sora and Ven do not share keyblades. As we see in the first secret ending, Terra picks up the Kingdom Key - the keyblade which Sora uses - while Ven picks up Way to Dawn - the keyblade that Riku uses. This would mean that Riku inherited the piece of Ven's soul, not Sora.

Well, we already know positively that Terra and Ven stand on the beach of the Destiny Islands main island where Kairi stood in KHII, and that at least one of them was watching 4 year old Sora fight 5 year old Riku with their wooden swords.

Since Riku was meant to have the Kingdom Key (which Terra picks up) but ends up with Way to Dawn (which Ven picks up), and Sora ends up with the Kingdom Key (Terra again), it is likely that they see prospects for the keyblade at that time.

Grammar aside, yes, we've already heard this. Terra and Zack do look similar, but it is to be expected. They are created by the same person, and there are only so many face shapes that they can give a person in a video game.

...um, I'm pretty sure we already know that Aqua is going to be the third character. Considering you fight Xehanort's apprentice in Ven's story and seem to fight Master Xehanort in Terra's story, I don't think they're even possibilities. Mickey could maybe be a possibility, but I doubt it. Most likely, he'll be a savior like he was in KHII.

Grammar aside, I agree. Why else would Nomura show us him without his helmet but be extra careful not to see his face? It has to be a surprise.

Also, Xehanort's heartless was never shown weilding the keyblade without Riku, but he is never actually shown with a weapon. And, after fusing with Riku, he is able to make an artificial keyblade, a feat that Riku most likely could not do, meaning that Xehanort has some amazing power and knowledge of the Keyblade.

We already have confirmation from Master Xehanort himself that this apprentice delved a bit too deeply in the darkness and it is now consuming him. That kind of inner corruption wouldn't go as easily as memories, and he would continue his research into the heart and looking for answers to the Darkness of the Heart even after becoming Ansem's apprentice. Also, he is said to have had "superhuman" abilities, which Xehanort's apprentice seems to have as well. He is much faster and seemingly stronger than the three knights.

PS. @ Tib. How could it possibly be Ansem the Wise? He was an old man, even back then, no where near as physically fit as Xehanort's apprentice, with very little knowledge of darkness or keyblades or Doors to Darkness, or other worlds! (hence his research).

Actually, it looks like Luxord right before you fight him in TWTNW. To me it says more "Hehehee...I get to use my oversized keyblade again!" rather than "Hehehehee...I'mma gonna take over the world and become the main villian in the next two games!"

Yeah, no one even knows if a KHIII will ever be made. Since you're posting in a section called 358/2 Days, maybe you should be talking about that game. I mean, seriously: THINK BEFORE YOU POST!

Anywho, 358/2 Days is scheduled to be released in Japan this summer.

The only ones we know of thus far are TWTNW, Twilight Town, Olympus Coliseum, Wonderland, and Agrabah. Hollow Bastion is likely, but no confirmation of any kind yet.

They also didn't reach in Donald's head and remove the memory portion of his brain to make him forget his spells. When Sora stepped inside Castle Oblivion, he lost everything (for he had to lose to find, as Marluxia says), including his items. They just disappeared along with his memories. Marly then sampled his memories of collecting those keyblades and turned them into memory cards that gave his Kingdom Key new abilities whilst using them.
