Yeah! I was hoping that this would be in the game. I guess we know what the final boss will be, then, eh? Unless they have like an uber cutscene for KHII, and the final battle is against Sora. Which would be lame. And yes. It does take place when Sora was asleep. The entire game is set during the year that Sora was asleep, except maybe a cutscene at the beginning of Roxas' birth and Axel in Castle Oblivion.
That has absolutely nothing to do with this thread. Don't spam.
Namine was born as a result of Sora releasing Kairi's heart. Because Kairi had no darkness in her heart, when Destiny Islands was destroyed, her body remained whole, and her heart became embedded in Sora. So, when Sora stabbed himself with the Soul Taker, both his and Kairi's hearts were released, created the Nobodies Roxas and Namine. Roxas is a direct Nobody of Sora, but Namine is a combination of Kairi's heart and Sora's body and soul, thus giving her power over Sora and being a connecting piece among Sora, Kairi, and Roxas.
Look at the scans in the News and Updates section of the forum.
Congratulations. That was one of the first things said when we saw what Ven looked like. As I've said before, I doubt it. For Ven's age compared to Sora's age at the time, it would mean that Ven was Sora's older brother, and Square isn't that cliche where they'd tell the story of an original character's long-lost never-spoken-of-until-now brother. Maybe if they'd made some kind of connection to it before, but the only relative we've heard of for Sora was his mother calling him to dinner - not enough for even her to be more than a minor supporting character in BBS.
Why would they downgrade a game from the Playstation to DS? Its understandable that they changed CoM from GameBoy to PS, but that's a major improvement.
That could be true, except for the rest of his lecture. He talks then about the Nobodies in general, and doesn't get into talking about the Organization until later. Also, just because they act under orders doesn't mean they don't have a will of their own. Unless you are the absolute ruler or anarchist, everyone takes orders from someone else. That doesn't mean they don't have their own willpower. For instance, in the KH universe, when Roxas attacked Sora at Memory's Skyscraper, you can see several Samurai Nobodies backing him up, even though he was set to be killed by Axel and assuredly cast out of the Organization. It goes without saying that if Xemnas wanted Roxas dead, he would have wanted his lesser Nobodies helping him, so he would have ordered they do not. But they did, showing that they would have to have gone against the Superior to fight for their commander.
I noticed that too. He may be able to switch off between hands, or in that particular scan, he could be doing a move in which he switches hands momentarily. Who knows. From the way he fights in the movie, I think he's pretty definately left-handed, and doesn't switch off much. More than likely, its just that one move.
Xemnas' hair owns. Don't Xehanort and Ansem Seeker of Darkness have the same hairstyle? I mean, they're the same person, and look exactly the same, other than Xehanort's heartless being way buffer.
This is true, but Yen Sid also said that "If someone with a strong heart and will - be they good or evil - becomes a heartless, the empty shell they leave behind begins to act with a will of its own." So, we have contradicting stories. One says that only someone with a strong heart becomes a Nobody, while the other says that having a strong heart makes your Nobody have human form. Considering that Ansem was locked away in the Realm of Darkness when he wrote that report, and admits himself that he knows very little on the workings of his heart, it is hard to know the validity of his statements. As well, considering the ratio of Nobody to Heartless, it is obvious that not every heartless has a corresponding Nobody, meaning that there are specifications on what makes a person a Nobody. So, most likely, Yen Sid has the closer answer to the creation of Nobodies. So, most likely, it means that one must have a strong heart simply to have a Nobody born. So, then, what are the necessities of making a human-form Nobody? I agree that one must have a stronger heart than most other Nobodies, but I also believe that there is something else to define a strong hearted Sorceror or Berserker Nobody from and Organization member. Hence my theory that sacrificing your heart plays a role.

OI! That's advertising and spam. Read and follow the rules!! Yeah, I doubt they'd get anyone else to do the voice for Ven. I mean, they are trying to show the similarities between the two. Especially since they're keeping the VA in Japanese. It would be like them getting a VA other than Quinton Flynn for Axel, while they kept Reno's VA for the Japanese version.
6/10 Wouldn't shooting donuts at them just make them happy? Twilight Star ATK: 10 STR: +7 MP: -1 Keychain: Twilight Town Station Bell Ability: Item Boost Description: Although severly diminishing magic power, melee power and on-field items become much more powerful.
True, that. My ideas always have a big pothole in them. This could, though, be a power that only the highest Nobodies have. After all, Xemnas has to have something over the others, or else they could easily turn on him. Hence why Marluxia needed to bring in Sora.
The light or darkness in your heart only affects your heartless. The strength of your heart is what determines your Nobody. Or, at least, that's what we've been told thus far.
I liked that Nomura decided to put in a throwback to the King's debut: Steamboat Willie. That was always my favorite Mickey. The troublesome one. :D Now Atlantica...that's a different story.
For the Red: Actually, Nobodies have both a body and soul. What they are lacking is a heart. Life is created by three things, as Pika_power said. But those three things are the Heart (emotion and feeling), Body (organs, bones, and such), and the Soul (life and personality). A Nobody is created when a person loses their heart, but their body and soul stay behind, which is why they appear and act the same, just without emotion. The "Spirit" that Pika_power talked about is the combination of Heart and Soul that would be what carries on to the afterlife, I assume, in the KH universe.
What? No one's saying anything about Terra being Xehanort. I personally think that they are separate people. And what does Kairi's grandmother have to do with this? Okay. I'd like to pose a question here. Can someone please find where it says that Kairi was sent to Destiny Islands 9 years prior to Kingdom Hearts? I cannot remember it ever saying a definate timeframe of when she was sent. But since you guys keep insisting that it says so, I'd like to see this proof. The only timeframes that I can ever remember hearing are that BBS occurs 10 years before KH1, and that Maleficent overran the world 9 years before KH1. And since Leon and his group talk about Xehanort delving too deeply into the heartless and the darkness and losing his heart, I would assume that happened sometime before the almost-assuredly chaotic run from the heartless. So, Xehanort would have had to send her out more than 9 years ago, as you've been saying. And, from what the scans have shown, Sora and Riku look the same at the time that Terra was there as when they were in the Secret Place talking about "That new girl at the Mayor's office."
Yeah. Terra is Terra. Ven is an alias, according to Nomura. I believe I heard somewhere that it is his nickname, and that his real name is Venius, but I'm not sure.
I had a thought about Nobodies. What if a human-form Nobody can only be born if someone willingly gives up their heart to the darkness? So far, we only know about the creation of the first 6 Org members, Roxas, and Namine, and that applies to all of them. Ansem/Xehanort, Braig, Dilan, Even, Aeleus, and Ienzo all gave up their hearts to use the power of darkness for science and their personal gain, but did so willingly. Roxas and Namine were created at the same time when Sora willingly gave up his heart to darkness to save Kairi and seal the Door to Darkness. So, if someone with a strong heart purposely gives up their heart to the darkness, they create a human-form Nobody, and if someone with a strong heart loses their heart from Heartless attacks or corruption, they become a "Lesser" Nobody. What'cha think?
