Thank for this wonderful pondering, facebook fanpages.
Plot: In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind. I've seen mixed reviews on this. It seems people either really like it, or they really don't. It's got an 8.6/10 on IMDB right now, so I'll probably see it. There's a lot of movies coming out that I want to see, though.
The force is strong with this one.
Plot: A woman (Amy Adams) who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on Leap Day, an Irish tradition which occurs every time the date February 29 rolls around, faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to Dublin. With the help of an innkeeper (Matthew Goode), however, her cross-country odyssey just might result in her getting engaged. :=D: I'm a total sucker for any movie concerning Ireland. Yaaay chickflix. ::L:
My favourite thread title thus far. heh... bitchez EDIT: Damn.
Plot: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present day. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary 'Imaginarium', a travelling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. Blessed with the extraordinary gift of guiding the imaginations of others, Dr Parnassus is cursed with a dark secret. Long ago he made a bet with the devil, Mr Nick, in which he won immortality. Many centuries later, on meeting his one true love, Dr Parnassus made another deal with the devil, trading his immortality for youth, on condition that when his first-born reached its 16th birthday he or she would become the property of Mr Nick. Valentina is now rapidly approaching this 'coming of age' milestone and Dr Parnassus is desperate to protect her from her impending fate. Mr Nick arrives to collect but, always keen to make a bet, renegotiates the wager. Now the winner of Valentina will be determined by whoever seduces the first five souls. Enlisting a series of wild, comical and compelling characters in his journey, Dr Parnassus promises his daughter's hand in marriage to the man that helps him win. In this captivating, explosive and wonderfully imaginative race against time, Dr Parnassus must fight to save his daughter in a never-ending landscape of surreal obstacles - and undo the mistakes of his past once and for all... Okay, so I know there has already been a thread. But the last post was way back in August, so I wasn't sure if that would be considered necro-bumping. Go ahead and merge or whatever. I'm seeing it ASAP. : D
This awesome song. ♥ And a wonderful typo in the thread title. ♥

We're still utterly confused as to why. But it was a good excuse to skip class.
Don't wander off like that.
Continued: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/climate-change/dirty-image-puts-canada-in-climate-doghouse-at-copenhagen/article1390657/ Stephen Harper never seems to fail at embarrassing Canadians wherever he goes. Everyone I know and everyone my family knows, whether liberal or conservative, tend to agree. But think about it: if any country had such fields rich with oil and other fossil fuels, don't you think that country's government wouldn't want to take advantage of it?
I wish to know the truth.
Plot: An animated retelling of Charles Dickens' classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions. Spectacularly done. They kept much of Dickens' original dialogue, which is fantastic. And yes, I had to avoid the censors while typing "Dickens". B|
Plot: An ensemble comedy in which the romance takes place between the young people of the '60s and pop music. It's about a band of rogue DJs that captivated Britain, playing the music that defined a generation and standing up to a government that, incomprehensibly, preferred jazz. The Count, a big, brash, American god of the airwaves; Quentin, the boss of Radio Rock -- a pirate radio station in the middle of the North Sea that's populated by an eclectic crew of rock and roll DJs; Gavin, the greatest DJ in Britain who has just returned from his drug tour of America to reclaim his rightful position; Dave, an ironic, intelligent and cruelly funny co-broadcaster; and a fearsome British government official out for blood against the drug takers and lawbreakers of a once-great nation. So this came out today, and I've only heard of it yesterday. How is this possible? Britain + the '60s = best era ever. Anyway, it's called "The Boat That Rocked" in the UK, but the North American name is "Pirate Radio". And the name changes globally. I'm not quite sure why.... Planning on seeing it this weekend! :>
Plot: A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind and water. It is cold enough to crack stones, and, when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the warmer south, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless cannibalistic bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a rusting shopping cart of scavenged food--and each other. o.o I'd never heard of it before I saw some stills on the IMDB homepage today. Looks freaky. Like I Am Legend, except possibly better.
