Goldwin flinched but held her ground, putting out an arm to stop Trys from jumping in front of her even as the Dragon backed away.

"You've managed to tame the beast to a certain extent," she admitted. "But the rules stay the same; you'll have to take the beast out of Numenor, across the border. I'd let him stay," she added, lowering her voice, "but with our current political situation it's not possible."

Gabriel propped his head up on a velvet pillow behind him, his mind still racing. He drew on his mental strength, his mind on his parents at the moment. He could Summon them if he wanted, pull their spirits to this realm so they could speak with him. He'd done it before; the rules that the Academy told them to abide by was that no living person could Summon a dead spirit that had already moved on; they could not make a spirit do anything against its will; they could not decide anything or gift anything to an unrested spirit if it was judged "immoral."

Well, both Gabriel's parents refused to go to rest before they were at peace with the fact that they had been unjustly put to death for crimes they did not commit.

"Mother..." Gabriel muttered, putting up his hand and mentally slipping into the spirit realm; he called on his mother's spirit, pulling her forward until he could see the pale, transparent outline of her in front of him at the foot of the four-poster, velvet draped bed. She gave him a small smile, but Gabriel looked away; her disheveled clothing, dirty hair, and the harsh rope burn on her neck were not something he wanted to stare at.

"You're troubled, son," she began, her voice distance as if he were hearing it under water, almost as transparent as her image.

Gabriel bit his lower lip, unsure why he'd called her in the first place now. "So?" he muttered, staring through his mother's torso into the crackling fireplace. "I'm not a Lord; politics shouldn't concern me; I don't know why rumors of rebellion and questioning Lord Michael's morals are bothering me and making me lose sleep."

OOC: yeah, Random Angel, its all good. if you ever think you dont have enough time to do them in the future we can always cover for you :D

OOC: Ok this is my character profile again, just to have it reposted. I'll probably add an Angelan by the end of the week, possibly, so I'll put him in as well if the time comes :D

    Username- mrsbaggins
    Name (full)- Eleanor McKynley
    Race- crossbreed: human and Cylian
    Powers (if any)- telekinesis
    Age- 59
    Gender- Female
Side- (Good/Evil/Neutral)- neutral for now... find out more later
Weapon (if any)- two daggers strapped to waist
Background (Go into detail please! The more, the better!)- Eleanor's mother is a Cylian who fell in love with a mortal man, later having a child in Ilianam where they live now. Eleanor grew up with her father not having much to with her: she was born knowing that she was different than the other human children around her. She could lift objects with her mind, sometimes hear the thoughts and emotions of plants around her, and, in one instance, tried to experiment with the elements… she wasn’t very good at it.

Her father wanted her to be normal, hoped that, despite the fact that his wife was a Cylian, their child would be more natural. Eleanor barely saw her father; he avoided her and rarely spoke to her. In her free time, her mother trained her to use her mental abilities properly, her telekinesis developed maturely by the time she was 25. Her mother also taught her how to master daggers to defend herself as the impending danger in their country grew.

She left home when she turned 50, not too old for a crossbreed, looking for any job that could earn her money. Eleanor soon got hired for jobs to get rid of those in the Lizard Clan that attacked small towns, and some Leechers that ventured into her way. She works with her daggers and mental powers, making money and a name for herself among the villages and their people.

Eleanor has a soft spot for humans, never having a good relationship with her father, she is kind to all that she meets. Hearing of the corruption in the kingdom, she wanders farther away from her home country of Ilianam in search for more work and to help those in need.

"Settle down, Dragonhunter," Goldwin warned the warrior in front of them, and then turned her attention to the boy. "Atreyu, I really don't want to know how you've managed to befriend and train this beast that we know little about, but you need to realize the rules no matter how special your situation is: Dragons have two purposes here: to be fought against and trained against, or be banished to another, less-populated area. I think that you fall in the second category; if you don't wish for your Dragon to be killed, it can't stay in Numenor."

Trys listened to Goldwin, but he eye was on the Dragonhunter in front of them whose name they did not know; the man was not someone he recognized, and the unafraid look in his eye made him uneasy.

About an hour later, Gabriel had his new cloak with him, food in his stomach, and a warm bed beneath him. He was daydreaming, thinking about what he'd done with his life since he got out of school and learned of all the problems and political corruption in his country.

Goldwin heard the word of her companions and clenched her fists. She wanted nothing more than to destroy the Dragon, take its head back to her parents, and prove to everyone that her country was a force to be reckoned with... but there was the boy to consider, and Trys' and Boromir's reason made her settle down slightly.

"You won't be harmed, Dragonrider," she said loud enough to be heard. "For the moment, you and your beast are safe."

Trys called out to the warrior in front of them that they didn't know the name of: "You as well, sir. Let the boy explain himself before we take any action."

Gabriel bowed one more time to the Lord before following the servant to his designated rooms for the evening. They were just as elaborate as he expected; compared to the inns and run-down taverns he found himself staying in almost every night after he'd graduated from the Summoning Academy honing his necromancy skills where he'd stayed in dorms, this night would be luxurious for him.

Everything seemed to be covered in expensive black velvet, from the drapes on the bedposts and windows to the carpeted floors and rugs. The fireplace was lit, a bottle of bourbon by the fire, and plenty of food was placed on the table next to the bed.

Gabriel turned to the servant before the man had a chance to leave, and said swiftly, "Take these gold coins and buy me another cloak... just like this one, but more expensive... preferably more durable, too." He smirked as the man happily took the money and ran away down the stairs.

"Do you know where you live, boy?" Goldwin retorted, and Trys put his free hand on her shoulder, his usual warning for her to calm down. But Goldwin was upset since she'd had quite the crappy day so far; her parents were practically on her deathbed and Moraning was practically beating down the door to knock her off the throne and take over as soon as possible... and now this boy was speaking to her, no, negotiating with her like she was some common folk? Hell, no, she thought angrily, grinding her teeth. I don't care what that insolent little idiot is riding on, I'll teach him a lesson!

"You've no right to negotiate with the princess of Numenor," Trys stated Goldwin's thoughts as if he knew them. His voice carried surprisingly well, heard by all in the area. "This land is known to keep vicious Dragons dead and harmless ones at bay and banished outside our borders, a reputation that's been known for longer than you've lived, boy. Think before you speak."

"We know nothing of them," Goldwin said, gasping and shielding her eyes from the glow of the flame in front of the hunter. "For all we know, this could be how all Night Furies behave-"

"Mi'lady, that man will be burned to death if we don't help him," Trys said, stepping forward through the brush behind the man. "Enough!" he shouted, raising his own weapon. "Stop this battle in the name of the Lord and Lady of Numenor!"

Goldwin sighed at Trys' unneeded formality and stepped foward as well. "Boy!" she said, pointing her sword in the direction of the human behind the Dragon. "Come out here and we'll lead you back to your home; you don't need to be afraid anymore."

Dracula chuckled at Jinx's taunting. "In the thousands of years I've been alive, dear, I've never heard such an awfully disgusting lack of threat in a taunt from a pretty girl. You're very disappointing."

Van Helsing had finally gathered all his mental strength; most of his broken bones had healed partially enough that he would be able to move when the time was right. All I need is for Edward and Hannah to make their move... I know they're nearby... as for Michael and Bee I'm not sure, but we'll see...

Edward was tired of waiting for Hannah to go with his plan; he wanted this finished now and not a minute later. He let out a harsh, ringing howl, bounding forward through the broken trees and shattered brush of the recent battle to launch himself at Dracula. He collided with the vampire's shoulder, taking him down and away from Van Helsing. He felt Dracula's claws dig into his fur, searing like hot irons through is flesh, but he held on with his own sharp nails.

Now, Van Helsing! he thought at the newly born werewolf. I'll hold him down and you bite whatever you can get at! Don't worry about me!

Lestat laughed when he watched the turning of events. "They're sad little creatures, werewolves... but my little Bee is turning out to be even sadder... she's done nothing of importance or remembrance, the poor girl."

D watched from the outside of the trees, no expression on his face. "That hunter will want to know how to go back to his original form after this... with no antidote, there's nothing he can do... with me."

Goldwin moved forward, staring forward through a spot in the trees.

"Mi'lady, through there," Trys whispered over her left shoulder, pointing once again. "A man... a warrior, by the looks of it, with a large sword... and there, a Dragon, the Night Fury... and a boy behind it."

"His hostage?" Goldwin wondered. "Why on earth would a Dragon have the wits or purpose to take a boy hostage?"

"The boy is with the Dragon, Mi'lady," Trys pointed out, as observant as always. "Look at his stance."

Goldwin nodded silently, dismounting her horse as they reached the trees, leading it behind her through the brush as silently as possible; with one hand on the reigns and the other on her now-drawn sword, she kept her ears open, listening to signs of anything dangerous.

    "Mi'lady," Trys began quietly. "Ahead."

Goldwin looked in the direction that Trys had indicated, and gasped; she could see that several trees had been charred and the brush was newly burned away all around the area in front of them. She had never seen a range so wide and deadly; the ground was still heated and cindered sparks flew through the air toward them on the wind.

Goldwin nodded, used to her man's usual response. She used to thank him all the time when she was little, when Trys brought her up as her parents were so busy. It was odd even for her poor country to have a man raise a princess instead of a wet nurse and chamber maids, but Goldwin hardly cared for those kind of servants; Trys was a companion she was used to having next to her like a second shadow. He rarely reprimanded her anymore except when she thanked him; he always insisted that thanks were not in order for him to just do his job.

She looked ahead of them now, the small group well out of the city. She could see the lake south of them, but their were really no signs of destruction along the path that led there.

"I don't hear anything, either," she muttered aloud. "Boromir... I have a bad feeling about this."

"Of course, Mi'lord, thank you," Gabriel said, giving another small bow. "Just as soon as my reward gets here I'll have that man point me to the correct guest rooms."

OOC: Sounds good, Random Angel; another character is fine with me, i look forward to the PM :D

Goldwin let Boromir take the lead, still trying to compose herself. It had been weeks since she'd fought a Dragon; taking care of her parents and running the country instead of training like she usually preferred.

"Trys," she began when her man rode up next to her. "You'll help me, won't you? You'll make sure we can cover this up well enough that Moraning doesn't finally send soldiers up here to occupy the city."

"Not on my watch, Mi'lady," Trys said quietly, still looking ahead. "I'll always be at your back, just like always."

Goldwin nodded swiftly. "Alright, then, we'll do as much as we can, as quietly as we can; that damn leech from Moraning is here... last thing we need is to give him more news to take back to his Lord."

"Mi'lady," Trys said suddenly, behind Goldwin now with their horses. He handed out their reigns and mounted his own horse. "Robyn is out around the city, so there's no doubt he's heard the rumors."

"Let's get moving, then," Goldwin grumbled, getting on her own horse and moving forward.

Goldwin didn't need to say a word before Trys was running the opposite direction, toward the stables. She knew he'd be back within ten minutes with three of her favorite horses that they'd bought from some friends in Layoman.

"Boromir," she began. "Let me tell you something, since you're just a strong as I when it comes to these beasts... we have to do this as fast as possible, and there's only two options; kill the thing and stop the rumors, or run it so far away from hear that it'll never come back and then stop the rumors."

Gabriel felt a smirk rising on the corner of his mouth, but quelled the emotion quickly. "Staying would be very nice, Mi'lord," he began. "Though I must ask why you said boring; I'd think you of all people would be very busy."
