Another fireball hit Riku, sending him flying backwards yet again. "Will you let me continue?" he said. "Well, they're not really 'games'. More like challenges. Confrontations. Yes, confrontations. Confrontations against other people just as strong and powerful as you, if not stronger. I have seen people just as cocky and skillful as you fall to the floor, dead, in these challenges. Are you interested?"
"Have you guys ever heard of a thing called work?" Riku said, throwing an onion at Sora's head. "Maybe you would like to try it some time instead of flirting." Jack continued to clean until he snuck into the kitchen to grab a free snack. Xigbar walked around until he noticed Roxas and Axel sitting together and slapped the palm of his hand to his face. "Have you guys ever heard of yaoi?" he said. "In case you haven't, you're all over it! AkuRoku this, AkuRoku that! Yet, you two just keep supporting it by keeping really close to each other. If some fangirl happened to see this, she could take a picture, edit it, and it would be on the internet in no time flat!" Just as he said this, he saw a girl holding a camera run out of the restaurant, giggling. Xigbar sighed and began walking away.
Axel nodded at Sora and flew downward until he was out of sight. "Goodbye, lad!" A few minutes later, Sora arrived at the shore with Namine on his shoulder. "I messed up." he whispered, looking at the ground. "I could have stopped him...it's all my fault." In anger and frustration, he grabbed his kayblade and threw it at a nearby tree, making it fall over.
The stranger nodded and all of the creatures disappeared, along with the mirror. "You are now invited to the Games." he said, walking closer until he was right in front of them.
Sora smiled and nodded at Namine. He then flew high into the clouds where Axel and Kairi now were. "Drop the girl, Axel!" Sora shouted. "Hmm..." Axel said, looking back at Sora. "Very interesting choice of words, lad." With a loud chuckle, Axel let go of Kairi and let her simply fall. Down below right beneath them was actually the pirate ship where the pirates were waiting for Kairi to arrive. It would be like raining girls to them. "KAIRI!!!" Sora shouted. "HAPPY THOUGHTS!!! YOU CAN FLY!!!"
"Well," the figure said, stopping and making a mirror appear next to him. "Surrender or the girl dies." The mirror showed Kairi watching the mist covered island, worried. "All I wish for is to speak to you guys." he said. "Do you really want your little girlfriend to die just because you wouldn't talk to me?"
"Namine?" Sora said, turning less pale. "Namine. I'm sorry for ignoring you when Kairi came. I'm sorry that I treated you so horribly. I'm sorry, Namine. Could you ever forgive me?" Axel dived into the water and grabbed Kairi's wrist. He hated the water, but he had to complete his mission. With a little more effort, he was able to pull Kairi out and began flying away from the island. "I told you there was no escape." he said to Kairi, laughing as they flew away from the island. With the pixie dust combined with the fire within him, it could last him hours.
Out of the water began to appear terrifying creatures that were way more vicious than heartless, all following behind the figure towards the island. The second that the figure took a step onto the shore, blasts of blue fire hit Sora and Riku, sending them flying backwards onto the ground. "I come in peace..." the man whispered, walking closer with the creatures still behind him.
Sora's face turned very pale and a tear slowly dripped from his eyes. His strength was becoming very weak and his ability to stand, let alone fly, was wearing down. "N-Namine..." he whispered, lifting her up to his face. "P-Please...s-stay..." Axel flew faster and was now hovering above Kairi, grinning down at her. "There's no escape." he said, holding his chakras.
Sora turned pale and stared at Namine, ignoring everything else. "N-Namine?" he said, holding her in his cupped hands.
"It's ok." Sora whispered with a smile, beginning to let go of Kairi. "You'll be fine. Like Namine said, just think happy thoughts!" He let go, leaving Kairi to fly on her own and landed in the boat with Axel. "Well, it seems we have some unfinished business." he said, stabbing his keyblade into the floor of the boat, making a hole. "You think you can defeat me that easily?" Axel said, laughing as he grabbed Namine. "I don't think so." He sprinkled pixie dust all over himself and began floating in the air, towards Kairi.
The figure yawned and easily flipped over the boat, sending Roxas and Namine into the black freezing water. He then silently said goodbye just before floating towards the island.
Axel smirked at Namine and continued rowing. This should be fun... he thought, not noticing Kairi falling into the water. "Kairi!" Sora shouted, diving into the water. He grabbed Kairi by her waist and flew out of the water, towards the island. Finally, Axel noticed what was going on and began throwing chakras at Sora and Kairi who were flying away. Sora dodged the chakras, left to right, still carrying Kairi and hoping to reach the island. "Namine!" he yelled to the fairy. "Give Kairi some pixie dust so that she can fly back to the island while I keep Axel busy!"
The figure appeared underneath the boat, and waited... Now, the water surrounding the boat turned black and icy cold. "Come out, come out, wherever you are..." it whispered in a cold terrifying voice.
"I do love a challenge." Axel said with a grin. He blew Namine backwards. "Well, that wasn't much of a challenge." Sora sighed tilted slightly so that Kairi could reach the keyblade. "You can do it." he said, hoping Namine would keep distracting Axel.
Axel lifted his head out of the water and spat the disgusting salty water out of his mouth. "I'm not losing that easily." he muttered to himself, grabbing the back of the wooden boat and climbing back in, his clothes soaking wet. "You're coming with me, like it or not. You're friends can't help you." Sora took advantage of the boat slowing down to get side to side with it. He then reached his keyblade out to Kairi. "Grab on!" he shouted.
Axel grinned at Namine and easily flicked her away with a smirk. A small boat was at the shore and he threw Kairi into it. Then, he jumped into it as well and began rowing away from the island. Having very good arm strength, Axel was going extremely fast. "Say goodbye to that precious island, my dear." he said, staring at Kairi with vicious evil eyes. "You're the light that attracts Sora, the perfect bait." With a loud laugh, Axel rowed faster. Sora floated over the water, now only a few feet behind the boat. "Don't worry Kairi!" he shouted, keeping a tight grip on his keybade.
A figure floated a few feet above the blue water, watching the distant island. The time has almost come. he thought. The figure wore a black cloak with a hood that covered his face. Eerything around him was absolutely silent except for the small sound of the waves. This will indeed be interesting. Immediately, the figure sunk into the water, causing some of it to turn purple and black. After a few more moments, the water returned to it's normal color and the figure was nowhere to be seen.
