When Tinarah's attempt to cure Atmos failed, despite the fact that the green light of the Cure spell washed over her Torrin shifted and turned around. "Magic can only do so much. he'll be fine. She looks tough. I'm sure she'll join you all as soon as she feels better." He assured the students before taking in a deep breath as he settled back in place to get comfortable.

Eventually, when all the students had left the area they came across debris from collapsed ruins blocking their path or, rather, it would have blocked their path if there had not been a large gaping hole that had appeared to have been drilled into the rubble. The tunnel ahead was darker but there was no way around it. The same treadmarks left by some vehicle went right through the tunnel. If one squinted their eyes they could just make out a green glow at the other end of the tunnel.

Torrin used his keyblade to prop himself up and rose to his feet once the others were gone and went to check on Master Atmos. She was snoring. It made him chuckle and remind him that despite possessing great powers they were still human; the keyblade hadn't changed that. He checked his side and found that the bleeding had stopped for now allowing him to make a sigh of relief. "Hm. Can't leave you exposed to the elements." With a snap of his fingers a magical barrier formed around Atmos. Pleased to see fragments of his strength beginning to return he turned to open up a portal with his keyblade.

"Now onto that unfinished business." He pulled his hood up and glanced down at his cloak. The first order of business? Replacing this ratty old thing before moving on to an important meeting.

Portals of light began to open as figures clad in armor stepped out into the city center and looked up around them to marvel at the Master's display of power. "Impressive!" One of them remarked. "I've heard of the Power of Waking but the Power of Sleeping?! Doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?" A young man's voice spoke. The armored figured looked around to gaze at the paved streets which were lit by little more than moonlight and distant lamps as they began to murmur amongst the few of them that were present.

"Naming it is of no consequence. As you all can see, when I said I had a way to hold back our Enemy," a tall hooded man stepped forth from a portal holding an unconscious girl in his arms and placed her down on a wooden bench, "I meant it. I have even pulled this one from the clutches of the void and freed her from the darkness." The others went quiet. "Now then where is T-"

Another hooded figure came running through the portal, nearly running into the Master in the process as they struggled to pull the hood up on their own cloak. The newcomer's cloak appeared to have been made in the wrong size as it was too large for their frame. "I apologize for being late I just had to-" They froze and looked at the others gathered. "Oh." They looked at the Master whose gaze, even from beneath the blackness under their hood, caused a shiver due to the chill sent up their spine. They finished zipping up the cloak and stood back along with the others, sticking out like a sore thumb amongst the six other armored members with their baggy cloak.

"Good. Now that all of us are present, we will wait for our latest guest to awaken before we conduct our next order of business."

Just as the werewolf's claws began to loosen its grip on the serpent, realizing it needed to make a break for air the snake emerged from the frigid waters to knock a boat farther out into see and the depths of the mists that were now surrounding them. Whatever it was doing did not matter to the wolf as long as it could inflict more damage on the creature. Taking advantage of the breath of fresh salty air the werewolf climbed higher up on the snake making for its head. In that instant flames from some unknown source began to lick at his fur and a searing heat made it tense its muscles and cling tighter onto the serpent before it could climb more than a few feet. Patches of its fur caught fire but were almost immediately extinguished once the snake submerged itself once more leaving the wolf to dig its claws into the back of the snake again to hold on, almost relieved that it had not been burnt any further but frustration building that it was in the same situation as before.

Enok raised an eyebrow as he caught a glimpse of the sea monster rise with a werewolf clinging to its back despite being nearly burnt to a crisp by some powerful fire magic from the woman. She looked to be tiring from the efforts but the intensity of her magic gave him reason to doubt that his own durability would likely not be enough to keep him unharmed if he chose to pick a fight with someone like that. As he observed the creature it was easily apparent that it was acting in a manner unlike some wild beast. It was either trained or being controlled by some kind of magic. It would have explained the sudden mist to say the least and it did not seem that he was the only one to make that observation.

Still, observations did little unless he could act on them. Certainly the Hym wanted to see some blood spilled but what was there to do? Throw his sword at the thing? He was stronger than a human, sure, but unless the serpent had a strange weakness to flying swords it would have done nothing. Stepping out from the shadows Enok looked onward to the remaining ships docked as he scanned them for any signs of being something other than large fishing or merchant vessels until he spotted a rather impressive warship. It seemed to be unmanned and that was all the excuse he needed to take off in a sprint and board the ship. As soon as he set foot on the deck, feeling a familiar creak under his boots and slight way of the water beneath him, his eyes fixed on a ballista affixed to the starboard side of the vessel.
"Been a while..." He muttered under his breath, thinking back to the first of many times he ever fired one being a freshly installed ballista on his familial ship. He began to turn the crank, his eyes now facing the sea hoping he would not miss his chance to fire when the serpent next surfaced.

Alder cursed under his breath over Ria's dismissal over Alder's made up piece of knowledge despite having believed him. He racked his mind for something that could force Ria to be convinced to let him go but nothing came. Fortunately, Ria at least let Mora go which caused him to relax somewhat. Cerdic was freed from Ria's grasp as well when Relli made a sudden appearance and struck at their enemy causing Alder's stomach to tighten. Attacking that thing head on never provided any results and only ever put someone in danger. "Relli no! Get out of there before he-" And then Ria spoke using Alder's own voice. A chill ran up along his spine. No.

Relli was gone before anyone could make a move to stop Ria and right there Alder knew he had failed his one task. "Relli!" Hate burned in his eyes as he gave Ria a seething glare as he shouted, "I'LL CUT YOU DOWN YOU BASTARD!"

When the serpent submerged the werewolf dug its claws deeper into the creature, only losing grip on its hind legs when they went under. The frigid waters did nothing to faze the werewolf allowing it to focus on sinking its claws and hold onto its breath. It would never outlast a sea creature in underwater combat but its sheer strength could make it more than uncomfortable for the snake. So long as its claws were embedded in the serpent, only oxygen deprivation would be enough to shake him off. The werewolf attempted to yank on the spots where its claws were buried in trying to widen the wounds it had made, barely aware in its rage that it would not be able to last much longer underwater by exerting so much strength.

Enok watched as more noncombatants fled the area even stepping out from the shadows to direct them in the direction of sturdier buildings. As long as casualties were kept to a minimum, he cared little for who was left to fight the snake. Though, strangely enough, the itch returned with doubled strength as he gazed upon the creature alerting him to some malicious nature around it but given that this, to his eyes, was just a wild giant snake he could not understand why the specter would react this way. Enok never went out of his way to kill a bear that mauled a man and rarely would he even go after another monster as it was merely their nature that drew them to violence and not a conscious choice.

Perhaps the Hym was drawn to something else but whatever it was, Enok could not be certain of it. Regardless of what his cohabitant willed, Enok was not going to jump in between witchers, a fire mage, a very angry werewolf, and a sea snake. If the group of them could not slay the monster then even with his durability it would be a futile to believe another sword would be enough to kill it. Besides, if they all killed each other it would solve some of his problems immediately. With that thought in mind, the Hym seems to agree leaving the oncoming headache to fade away and allow Enok to step back and watch the spectacle before him.

Do people even post pics anymore? No?

This is Corina(no you fools, not the one on the left, that's me!). My girlfriend. She likes ice cream. Me? Not so much. She also likes cheesy photo collages. It's cute though so it works.
And here's another(more recent) pic. Fun times at a park here. Well not really having fun at the park. The grass isn't really good enough to sit on. Too many ants. Too many weeds. But as long as we're together that's all that really matters.

A girl went to the abode Enok had kept close to and not even a minute later the occupants quickly vacated and headed out, grasping their weapons. The itch tried to pull him into following after the group but there was no sense in throwing himself into battle just yet. As they disappeared out of sight he could now hear a commotion in the distance coming from the docks. He lingered for a while mulling over what he would do next as he was certainly in no hurry to play hero and make himself known to two witchers. Though tempted to turn around and break into the house, knowing it must have belonged to someone from the group, it would hardly be as revealing as seeing them fight. And perhaps, he hoped, along the way the Hym would chose a different target. One that was not a witcher or flanked by two witchers. Of course, once it made its mind there was little in the way of changing it.

And so Enok followed after the group making sure to keep a good distance from and even letting them get out of sight since he knew they would be heading towards the docks and all he had to do was simply get there in a slower pace. Several people ran in the opposite direction right by him as he neared the docks and as he drew closer he paused upon spotting the group once more. Enok stepped forward and raised an eyebrow as he gazed upon the beast they had arrived to combat against. He glanced down at his sword then back at the serpent.
"For once, my sword's not big enough." He mused. Enok kept back, wanting to see the first move the others made first without standing in their line of sight. The auburn-haired woman revealed a talent of her own as she launched blasts of fire at the sea snake. A fire mage. And a strong one at that. His eyes scanned the area and along the water he could see a mist rolling along the water's surface soon to approach the docks. He stepped back and kept out of sight knowing now was not the time for him to step in.

Kord had long since left the tavern grounds feeling disappointed and more than a little angry at himself. Had he more experience in the social realm he would have easily deduced how he could have approached the situation better but, at the moment, all he could tell was that he had done something or said something wrong. He thought he had been polite enough. Perhaps it was the girl who was crazy. After all she did immediately start swinging a mace at him with, to his mind, no provocation. He had not seen aggression that high since he was young and fending off the elder children who sought to exert dominance over him only to fail. Fun times. He smirked at the memory.

In the distance he could hear screams. He turned his head to look around only to see nothing.
"What?" Curious to see what the commotion was about he followed the source of the sound finding that it was coming in the direction of the sea. He had kept his distance from the docks on the off chance any from his pack decided to come looking for him though, from what he could tell, none had tried following after him. Still, the thought of being recognized from anyone at home was enough to keep him moving from one place to another.

By the time he had finally made it to the docks Kord's eyes first settled on the sight of the girl rather than the looming serpent or the fire mage in the area. A part of him wanted to transform immediately. If witchers saw him actively help fight this thing would they really try killing him afterwards? ...Yes...they probably would. Or maybe not. Not all witchers were the same and even if they came after him it wouldn't be a problem for him to simply outrun them. As he thought it over he watched the girl had made over to a boat to get some sailors out of harm's way, probably damaging their egos in the process. She had refused to come along with him anyway and, given her attitude, there did not seem to be much he could do to harm their "relationship" if he turned. If, by some miracle, they all survived this and the witchers didn't want him dead perhaps it would act as a positive influence on her. If not...there was always the next city.

Kord closed his eyes to call upon his primal instincts deep within and inhaled deeply as he focused those thoughts onto the serpent. He opened his eyes and kept them fixed on the sea beast.
"Like they say," there was a deep growl in his voice as he spoke, "you only live once."

The heavy thudding of massive paws could be heard and before the blink of an eye a white blur leapt off of the docks, claws ripping apart the wooden planks underneath as it crashed onto a small fishing boat nearly capsizing it underneath the creature's weight. The werewolf rose to its hind legs and bared its fangs with its gaze of bloodlust transfixed on the serpent. The wolf jumped again instantly closing the distance to sink its claws and fangs into the larger monster and begin tearing at its scales with reckless abandon.

It hadn't been the first death he had seen but seeing another one of their own fall to Ria had not gotten any easier. Their numbers were thinning and with three of them still tied up in darkness, along with Mora who was now seeing the error of her ways as she was being choked, the odds were not in their favor. Even at his maximum honor he would not be able to break free and defeat Ria single-handedly. He eyed the girl feeling anguish over her predicament. She had only wanted to save her people because they had failed her. She was a child, she didn't know what she was getting herself into and she certainly did not deserve to die. "Dammit Ria! Leave the girl out of it! If you want that journal so badly then how about I offer something better?" Alder looked to Ria focusing on the one idea he had left that could, at the very least, buy time and at most give them an advantage.

"Aevum wasn't the only one keeping secrets! During the time we spent reverse-engineering the original Extractor I learned more than I ever shared with my partner. I never shared this with him but I'm more than capable of getting that Extractor working again. Give me enough time and I could make you a new one if you wanted. Just let Mora and I out of the circle. Keep the other two here as your bargaining chip if you want. You don't need that journal with the knowledge I have." He spoke, his voice unwavering as he fixed his eyes on Ria.

T.R.A.M. is a mega group that (so far) have only made one album of six super cool jazzy songs.

And here's one of my favorite post-rock bands and, considering this is a KH forum, I feel like the title of this song is enough reason for me to list this.

Here's the part where I'd rec a song from AAL but I kinda already snuck one in here through T.R.A.M. so...

Kord backed away as she swung the mace again though this time she seemed to be making a warning to him with it. By the looks of her reactions and her body language he could see that anger was beginning to get the best of her and she was struggling to get a hold of herself. "I left my people in search for others like me. Those that were alone. I've known some of them to have had families." Kord shook his head. "More than some, actually. They all had something in common, though. One way or another, they slip up. No matter how good their intentions are they could not pretend that they were something else just because they willed it to be so. It just doesn't work that way. If you want me to leave, I will. Like I said, I don't intend you any harm. But sooner or later, you might slip up. And you'll need someone who truly understands what you're going through to have your back. When you do, I won't be too far away."

He began to back away towards the door, refusing to turn his back on the girl figuring that she might still try attacking him.
"I know that you've killed those who've caused trouble for you or those you care about. Protecting family is admirable. Really. If you were some unhinged cold-blooded murderer who killed everyone who even dared to look at you wrong I would not have bothered speaking with you. You would not have been the kind of person I'd be looking for. You know, being a sorcerer or an elf doesn't come with the same kind of stigma or violence being what we are comes with." Kord went to reach for the door. "Even if they accept you for what you are, and I have no doubt they would, you're always going to have hold back. You'll never be free."

Choma had stepped back ready to make his leave for another world. When Tinarah ran up to him, taking his hand in both of her little ones, he could not help but smile at the young girl. Her brother had come over to thank him but Choma shook his head in response. "There is no need for that. As one of the keyblade's chosen it is not only our duty to keep the balance but to protect those around us." Choma knelt in front of Tinarah and placed his other hand on her head and looked her in the eyes. "It will be alright. Your brother is with you now and I will not be gone forever. I will return but for now I must look for help. We cannot be caught off guard again." Thoughts of Aria came to mind. He had brought his students to a dangerous world where they were not prepared to deal with that level of darkness and it cost one of his students the highest price one could pay. He was not going to allow that to happen again.

Pulling his hand away from Tinarah's own he directed his keyblade away and opened up a portal. "Take care of each other. There is some darkness lingering in this world but the level it is at right now is something all of you can handle. Stay together. Stay strong. Grow stronger and nothing will ever stop any of you. I believe in all of you. I am sorry I cannot stay but I must go. Carry on and cleanse this world." Choma took a longing glance at the young students before him and turned around to head through the portal before it closed behind him leaving the students to move forward without him.

Torrin. "Down that way." Torrin spoke up once Choma left, pointing in the direction Illiana was already heading. "That's where the darkness is strongest. It's not as strong as back in Eventide but it could get bad if you leave it alone for too long." He began to slide down against the rock he leaned against to sit on the opposite side where Atmos was resting. He crossed his legs and summoned his keyblade to lay it across his legs to show that he would be ready to fight if anything came their way while the students were out on their mission. He looked away from the students to stare straight ahead into the tunnel's depths though his eyes flicked over towards Mika for a moment before returning their forward gaze. Torrin took a deep breath. "Good luck. Take the time to get to know each other a little better while you're at it. A team that trusts each other is stronger than one that does not." His voice was serious as if he had spoken from experience.

"That girl...Mora. She was working with Ria to save her family." Alder sighed. "I knew something was off about her but before I could warn her against anything Kara activated this trap." Alder made no reaction to the name Aevum. There was no point in having Cerdic pick a fight with Chrono while they were trapped and given what Cerdic said about him it was obvious that the other group had found some information of their own. Alder looked past Cerdic to see Relli not far beyond. He let out a sigh of relief that someone he knew made it back alive.

"I hate to admit it but it's going to take more firepower than any one person to bring down Ria." Alder muttered thinking back to the time Ria just took a heavy swing from him and kept standing. Now that he thought about it, being made up of so much darkness from multiple sources would likely grant that kind of power but there was still the unanswered question as to the finer details of what Ria was.

If the situation had been different, he might have enjoyed a little sparing session with the girl but he was not looking for a fight. After all, he had spent his entire life amongst others of his kind who were larger, more violent, or more agile than his attacker seemed to be...or all of the above. If he had not learned to defend himself he would have been left to die in the snow a long time ago. Her aggressive response elicited a laugh from Kord as he took a step and a small jump backwards to keep out of her mace's range. If she had been using a sword she might have been able to nick him but all he had to do was keep his distance and keep from getting himself cornered to keep her from ever hitting him. As long as he chose not to attack in response he wouldn't leave any openings for a counterattack.

"As fun as this is, I'm not comfortable doing this with two witchers around. You're not the only one they might want to kill."
Kord stepped to the side, finding his back uncomfortably close to a wall from his efforts in staying out of her reach. "You and I are the same. You follow?" He spoke lowly then, as he thought about the words, he shrugged slightly. "Not entirely, I suppose. Living as part of the minority has got you wound up tight and I can understand why. I'm not here to expose you. I just..." Once again, his words began to fail him. Kord chewed on his lower lip for a moment as he considered what his next words would be and where he would jump to next should she continue her attacks. "I'd rather talk in private about finding a way to make you more comfortable just living. Without worrying about whether you'll wake up one night with a silver sword plunged into your heart."

Enok had barely rounded the corner when the itching turned to a sensation of something trying to claw its way through the back of his head, urging him to turn around. He paused and pressed a hand to his head in a vain attempt to will the pain away. No. We're not doing this with more witchers around. The clawing continued leaving Enok little choice but to turn back around and pass by the group once more while he took another passing glance to gather some kind of idea of what the Hym wanted dead. Enok could no longer see the group and figured they must have entered one of the buildings but he had seen enough to remember who he had crossed paths with.

It could have been one of the witchers for all he knew. Enok knew that witchers were hardly paragons of virtue and righteousness. Or perhaps it was the bard for crimes against the ears. Or perhaps it was the woman. Enok folded his arms and leaned against the wall of a nearby building, propping up his sword to rest at his side as he waited. The signs were generally consistent though not often would they go off so quickly. It was either the nightmares, which he hated, or the itch which was preferable. A puff of hot air, visible in the cold, came from him while his eyes fixed on the cloudy sky above. Civilians went about their business in the streets paying him no mind for the most part though he could feel curious eyes divert their attention in his direction to catch a glimpse of the impressive blade he kept close. He couldn't blame them. Swords were carried for personal protection given their ease of use and their ability to just sit at a person's side. Some even carried swords as status symbols but a sword as large as his own did not serve the same purpose. It was a weapon of war, not defense.

Kord kept still for a moment and picking at a spot on the table as his eyes followed after the woman, who had not yet introduced herself, as she went out to the back. After the short moment passed he stood up and followed after her. He was a little saddened however that this was how their initial meeting would go down. Perhaps if he had been more charismatic or offered a solid believable business proposition rather than hint at knowing her secret would have been a better way to start things. In any case, the words had been said and he knew what was coming next.

A rush of air blew at his hair when he stepped back out of the mace's range. After following this girl for a few days he did pick up on a few things. One of those things being what this girl's job apparently was. A sort of bouncer to keep out undesirables and he had just earned himself that label. It did not take a genius to figure out why she was taking people out back when they became too rowdy or too forward in their advances. Watching those same poor souls limp away to lick their wounds or just not come back made it obvious.
"Whoa there." Kord held up his hands as he took another step back. "Okay so starting off on the wrong foot was my fault. I'm still learning how this whole socializing in the modern city act goes." Kord spoke before lowering his tone. "Look, I'm not comfortable around those witchers either. First time since I got here I've seen them step foot in this area of Novigrad." Kord took a deep breath as he slowly lowered his hands, making sure to keep his right hand distant from his hatchet to avoid having it look like he was going for his own weapon.

"By the honor of my...hatchet, I'm not here to bring you, or whatever friends or family you have here, any harm. So can I get a name before I tell you why I'm here or are you just going to keep swinging that thing at me?"

"I will be back later. Perhaps. Thank you for your service." Enok spoke with some difficulty, pausing at the exit before heading out into the brisk air. The itching in his mind began to grow, egging him to turn around but this time he ignored it. There were two witchers too many for his liking and if the specter persisted he could just wait for another day and hope the two left town before he got to work. It would be possible to get the job done in spite of the presence of two formidable creatures but the last time he faced an experienced witcher he nearly lost an arm. For now, he wished to see if easier prey would catch the Hym's attention. If not, then there were always new sights to behold and take his mind off of his never-ending journey.

The distant clanging of a blacksmith's hammer did little to remedy that as Enok roamed the streets, blade in hand. It only reminded him of one of his less successful quests. For him, "less successful" only meant more people died by his blade than he originally intended. A particularly corrupt noble had gotten the idea that the best way to defeat his shadowy stalker was by surrounding himself with more armed guards and even though it had failed to save him, the ensuing fight to escape the manor had not been an easy one. Thankfully, crawling out of the wreckage of a burned-down manor took only a few hours and stealing replacements for his clothes were of little trouble to him. The incident had been so long ago he had forgotten what the noble had done to draw the specter's ire. It didn't really matter. He was dead now and Enok was not.

By now the sounds of the blacksmith's shop had faded away as he put more distance between himself, it, and the tavern he had stayed it. Enok loosened his grip on the leather sheath that held his sword as he relaxed on his stroll, his boots crunching the freshly fallen snow as he walked. The sound of a lute caught Enok's attention for a moment and as he turned his head to look over in the direction it had come from he eyed four strangers.
"Do you have a name we can call you by, or are you going to carry on being Miss Secretive?" The lute player, a woman, and--two more witchers. Enok let out a long sigh. "What the hell's wrong with you? The city's crawling with witchers." He spoke to himself, keeping his voice low so only he would hear. Even now his words continued to go unanswered by the whispers. Annoyed, he kept walking and diverted his gaze from the group. Turning back around to get back to the tavern almost looked like a good idea right about now.

As they were just left to their own devices with what little freedom they had in their restraints, all Alder could do was talk to Aevum. Though their didn't seem much they could talk about given his poor memory. Unless they wanted to chat about the underground weather. That wouldn't be interesting at all. Ria was still in sight and it angered Alder that there was nothing he could do to stop that thing from going about masquerading as them.

Kord's eyes flicked over towards the witcher, his head slightly turning so Alyse would notice that he had picked up on it too. Thankfully, she had the good sense not to turn tail and run immediately. Given the fact that the tavern was crowded with more souls than just them there would be no way for a witcher to single them out immediately. The young woman's attitude was certainly a feisty one and one of her first responses was to remind him that she was indeed armed. It amused him but he refused to allow himself to smirk at her thinking it would hurt the sense of pride she was so obviously soaking in.

Just as he was about to speak again, another man walked in. Another witcher. Kord shifted in his seat and returned his gaze towards the blonde. There still was no reason to get nervous. Unless these witchers were reckless enough to put everyone else at risk of being killed.
"You know, I can see why you're on edge. With a face like that you must be used to fending off all kinds of men. Probably a few women too." He mused. "You won't be needing to use that mace on me. Don't get me wrong, on any other occasion I'd have a go and see how my luck fares with you but that's not why I'm here." Of course, he could have just told her why he was there and risk the wrath of the two witchers as the two fled or fought for their lives but even if they survived that would have been the stupidest idea he could have come up with as this girl would surely never trust him enough to join him after that and he would not blame her for it.

"You may call me Kord. The only thing I need from you, is a moment of your time alone, if you will grant me that much, miss..." He trailed off, hoping she would give him a name.

Having already finished his drink, finding no comfort to go with it, Enok folded his arms across the table and shook his head slowly. It had been worth a shot but it did nothing to clear his mind. By the time he looked up there stood not one but two witchers in the tavern. An amusing sight to say the least. Fortunately, the itch in the back of his mind did not immediately grow upon their arrival. Needless to say, killing a witcher was not a task accomplished with little effort. With nothing left to do at this place, Enok rose from his seat. Perhaps by the time he made it back to his room, grabbed his sword, and made it down his mark would be made clear to him. If not, there was bound to be a fitting target to find if he roamed the streets for a while.

Looking over towards the elf woman who owned the establishment he considered thanking her again for serving him but, considering that she was preoccupied with a witcher, decided not to interrupt. It was not that witchers scared him, they did not even make him nervous, but just risking being found out was not an interesting prospect for him. Enok made his way upstairs to enter his room. It was a cozy little thing that he would not have minded staying in longer if given the opportunity. The only personal item belonging to him, however, was his blade propped up against his bed and grabbed it before turning back around and heading downstairs.

Enok raised an eyebrow at the woman's tone. If he had been a socialite he would have guessed there to be a hint of concern in her voice but all he gleaned from it was that the elf was of a friendly disposition. At the very least to those who paid up. Forcing some amount of courtesy out he said, "I'm fine with just the drink. Thank you." He spoke lowly while resting his chin on the back of his hand. "I slept just fine." He finally answered, stating the lie plainly. Without turning his head, his eyes shifted in the direction of the voice of a woman who spoke to the elf. Evesdropping may have been considered rude by some but if it didn't bother him what did it matter? In any case, the girl said nothing of interest to him leaving Enok to return his attention towards drink before him.

As he began to drink he turned his head to take a casual look around the area fully aware that just a quick glance would not give him a better idea of what prey the Hym wanted to go after first but, rather, to see if anyone around happened to be heavily armed or wore clothes of nobility. The former might be too much effort than he was willing to give today and the latter would just mean he would have to make a hasty escape, both of which were annoyances he did not want to deal with.

Now that Kord was beginning to look a little too closely at the flow of the grain of wood on his table he figured that maybe he was trying too hard to go unnoticed and tried to relax a little and keep from acting so stiff. He leaned to one side and looked over at the tavern's entrance door watching as a young man, probably younger than him, stepped inside. Judging by the blades he carried, Kord guessed them to be made of silver and steel. He did not need to be able to see through sheaths to know that. It was clear to him that this person was a witcher. Naturally, Kord would have to keep watch of his words and actions...moreso than normal. It was not as if werewolves were ever welcomed anywhere outside of a pack.

He continued to tap his fingers against the wood, words circling about in his head as he pieced together how he would go about an introduction. He had not introduced himself to the majority of the werewolves he had encountered but, instead, merely kept tabs on them so that he would be able to find them again. To those he did formally meet the introduction was always something he struggled with. A master of charisma he was not. Though he had not actually formed a pack what he had done was let those he meet know that they were not alone and he would return for them if they chose to join him. For some, it was a comforting idea to hold onto but others were already comfortable with the lives they held and were not willing to give it up so easily. From what he gathered of this girl, she might fall into the latter category but until he spoke to her himself he would never know where she stood on it.

Kord stood up. While he could not go on spewing his rhetoric on the pack life in a tavern, especially with a witcher around, at the very least he could speak to this girl.
"Excuse me," he spoke up as he approached her. He glanced down at the mace she carried at her side. A smart choice for a sidearm. He sat a seat away from the blonde, not wishing to be too close lest he risk making her more uncomfortable than she already might be. "By the looks of it, that bread must be as good as meat with the way you ate it." He eyed the crumbs left behind. "Careful though. Would be a shame if you choked to death because you forgot to chew. Saw it happen once. Probably the strangest thing to happen during a full moon."
