I would imagine it being either against an opponent who's completely relentless, or it would be broken down into phases. For example, first you would fight normal old Sora, and he'd use a series of attacks like Flash Step or Sliding Dash to close the gaps or knock back the party before knocking you back with the Explosion or Guard Break finisher. Knock him into the air, he'd probably use the Aerial Finish or Magnet Splash as his retaliating slash or Counter Guard if comboed too much on the ground. Nothing too special easy enough to overcome. The Trinity Limit for KH2 was a bit broken in it's execution as it was 10 consecutive auto hits multiplied over three separate executions. However His KH1 Trinity was just as broken as it took up the entire field. That move would either way be his most powerful attack. And probably what he would use before switching to phase two. (Preferably I'd rather see the original Trinity as it was more badass.) The second phase of the fight I would imagine to be his Valor form, in which he has two keyblades, and relies on a series of relentless attacks, and closing the distance gap. This fight would be difficult because there would be little room for counter attacks, or maneuvering. His finishing strike again would be the Brave Beat, or the one spiny-top attack to counter your relentless attacks, while he'd probably use the Over the Horizon finisher as his aerial 'retaliating slash.' The third phase would probably be wisdom form. Since regular old quick running would be stupid, they'd probably make it epic and make Sora's quick run 'teleport' him around the arena in the same quick run fashion. From a distance he would be like Xigbar, launching magic missiles, and the finishing blizzard bullets. Whenever you got close, he'd use Fire Magic to dance circles around you, or he'd cast the finisher version of Thundaga to deal masive damage. If you managed to knock him around with a couple combo attacks, he would use Reflect to cancel your combo, and knock you back. The fourth phase would be limit form. In which case he'd rely on his classic limits to take you out. If you attacked head on, he'd counter with the Zantetsuken, or the Stun Impact (again dependent on surrounding foes) after blocking or dodge rolling out of the way. To close the distance, he'd use Sonic Blade, and rave around at high speeds. If you try to run away, he'd use Strike Raid, only less linear (ya know since he's a boss) Ars Arcanum would be his 'combo' attack, and initially would only be the 7 hits, but as his health continued to decrease would power up to all 13 hits. His retaliating slash (if comboed into the air) would likely be the Ragnarok ability. Which would launch those good ol' Magic Missiles at you once again to dodge roll out of the way. The fifth phase (you guessed it) Would be Master Form. In which Sora's attacks would be centralized around his magic combos. Fire would be a forward dash, Blizzard would be a shotgun effect that knocks foes back. Thunder would be a break dancing combo. Then his finishing attack which draws foes in like a magnet before dealing heavy damage to top it off. Not the most complex of forms, but definately one of the more stylized. And of course, he'd be a prick and cast Reflect whenever you tried to attack him. The sixth phase would be Anti Form. No keyblades, just relentless attacking. We've already fought Anti Form before, so no need to really explain this one. The last phase of the Sora Boss fight would be none other than Final Form. Which essentially would be the most relentless, and most powerful form for obvious reasons. Three attacks I would like to note specifically Would be the Keyblade attack where he throws his keyblades in the strike raid fashion, the follow up where he bashes them both together, and the finishing strike where he turns into pure light energy and begins blitzing through his foes at high speed, using the keyblades as bouncing pads. Imagine he would be gliding around his targeted foe much like Roxas did when he was throwing the keyblades here. idealistically the same effect with the bashing of the two keys together, to deal massive damage no doubt. (That attack looks like it hurts A LOT..) Then finishing by dashing through a single foe as an orb of light would be overkill. But of course, this form wouldn't be complete without a completely new set of abilities. Final Form obviously can combo the crap out of you, and like he would cast the thunder spell would cast instead the holy spell (from Chain of Memories) summoning beams of light from the sky, or casting a second stage Reflect and launching the circle of lasers at surrounding foes. Unlike normal Sora, boss Sora wouldn't be spamming the cure spell.. or would he, since he's Sora, it'd only be the smart thing to do right? Furthermore, this isn't really even including the numerous amount of Reaction command techniques Sora knows. While situational, many of those attacks could be used as a Boss and get the job done. Estimated hit points? around 1400-. 1 HP bar for each form. or if it were a data battle, then 2800; Or two HP bars for each form. And we're not even gonna factor in MP, because we all know that bosses cheat and use the infinite MP code. But what kind of bosses would they be if they didn't cheat right? Now what I'd like to see, is a KH2 battle against Riku, while he was in your party. That jerkface was fast.
For a moment there, I thought Riku was attacking Sora- I wonder if that's even possible. XD
Master Form's Spell animations were dope. Endless Magic was quite useful as well too.
Okay, so now I have a question. I noticed that you've used the term 'moveset mod' In order to modify each character's movements etc. Does this modify the way the model in itself works? and if so, was this ever tried in Kingdom Hearts 2/Final Mix+ My apologies if this seems off topic, however in a sense it does seem to be on topic. o_o
Uhh.. is it just me? Or is Cloud's Youtube profile closed down? Did I miss something?? I ask this here because I went to watch the video again, and it says it's no longer available.
He blocked with his right hand, the brace is on his left.. I lol'd at the log and pants theories.
Red vs Blue plz? Truly will be epic.
Anti Sora got owned so baaddd. I enjoyed it though, very much so. Sephiroth vs Larxene, two aggressive characters with a wide array of movesets. Seph: Teleportation - Duh, closing in, making space. If he's hit enough, or left alone, Larxene shouldn't be able to keep the pressure. Flash - Instant damage, she can't block it if he uses it I don't think. Ground combo 1 - 7 hits (last I checked) covers quite a range, quick to boot. Ground combo 2 - Deadlier, covers even more range. Ground combo 3 - Deadliest, swoops in, several hits.. covers even MORE range. Fire pillars - Lasts a good 10 seconds, Sephiroth won't flinch, if Larxene gets caught in this, she'll take a good bit of damage, depending on how the fire pillars knock her around. Air juggling combo - I can't recall if Larxene can recover from mid-air. Whatever the case, getting hit by that probably means trouble. Dark Orbs - She'll run into them, or end up getting hit by them anyways.. Meteors - Dunno if he can be damaged, since you can't reach him normally. If the arena is big enough, maybe Larxene will stand a chance, otherwise, she's gonna get pummeled. Dark Heartless Angel - This is probably hax, and will be nerfed to do nothing? Larxene Speed - She attacks constantly from what I've seen, hardly ever letting up. Thunder bolts - Decent damage, could possibly interrupt Seph. Clones - Probably the biggest threat to Seph is dealing with multiple Larxenes, as he can't get rid of them with the reaction command. Warp n' Joust - Fast, Powerful? Probably uncounterable. Thunderbolt Combo - Her regular combo from what I can see, ends with a series of smaller bolts. Lightning Bolt Quake - Quick enough, and has a good knock back effect, could catch Seph off guard. Multi Clone Combo - A series of attacks from various clones coming from random angles. Multi Clone Combo DM - Various strikes from all sides, encircling Seph, then delivering two more blows. Thunder Wheel DM - Random lightning bolts from the sky, She's invincible I think, and she emits two chains of lightning from her arms whilst spinning in a circle. I think I named them all for each character. It's pretty stacked if you ask me. First I was in fact thinking Sephiroth, but then I realized that Larxene's arsenal is pretty impressive as well. Were it not for the Clones and aggressive attack patterns I'd say Sephiroth would win without breaking a sweat.. Then again, Most of Sephiroth's moves aren't actually used until his health gets lower anyways. From what I can see.. All of Larxene's moves are available from the get go.. ._. I honestly can't predict this next one..
wsup person who I kno not? XD
So then it should be uploaded today? If so, I'm glad that we're able to finally move forward. Even if it's by a stroke of luck, we're more than grateful for it.
The impatience and hate this topic is generating is made of fail. Grow up people, these vids are a privilege, not a right. Crap happens, and everybody does it.
When you fight Vexen, he summons an Anti-Sora for you to fight. Whether or not this will actually be the case is a differant story. Now that I actually think about it, that fight would be pretty epic. Heartless vs Nobody. What would make it greater is if they did the Final Form/Anti Form Moveset, Because that was hot stuff from what I can remember. That brings up another point, did everyone vote Anti-Sora specifically? Or did you just decide on Anti-Sora because of his inability to heal/ damage potential? If they didn't vote specifically Anti-Sora, then maybe we will be seeing him in multiple forms if he manages to advance in the tournament. I personally thought Limit Form or Final Form Sora would be more epic, but maybe that would be too epic for the competition. I also question Sora's moveset potential, as Cloud said earlier on, codes are a very powerful thing, and if you consider all of the moves that Sora could perform when you factor in Reaction commands He could very well have a move set capable of rivaling Terra.. Yes I think that would be the case, if it were possible.
In response to some of those earlier who were defending Cloud in regards to the 'rigging' fights comment which I believe I commented on earlier, I didn't mean literally so that one character would automatically win. That's assuming you associated me with said bull crap. What I mean to claim by 'rigging' is just what's been done in order to make the battles fair for each contestant. Some characters have had their moves modified in order to make the battles more interesting, which by all means makes sense, though I believe it to be a lot of hard work that I myself would be happy seeing even without said effort being put into it. Not so say that I'm ungrateful, or that I speak for everyone here with what's been said. Simply my take on a complicated situation. I really don't think I'm a hard person to please, so anything that may sound like a complaint is simply my ideas to make it better. Everyone has their own ideas of how to improve something, at the very least these guys are willing to listen. So no: I'm not saying you rigged the fights (though you may still think so for whatever reason -.-) And yes: I wholly appreciate what you're doing, and actively wait in anticipation for each consecutive vid. I've been a fan of these vids for over a year now, and I'm glad I could participate in the viewing of said videos. Good luck in the next fight, I'm thinking Xaldin is going to win this battle..
I think it's not so much that Riku lacks moves, or that he's underpowered, I really think it has more to do with the tournament choice match up. In which case it should be said Riku probably lost fair and square. I assumed this would happen from watching that preview video of Xemnas vs Riku. If they wanted to be completely fair, and this tournament was actually about determining who was the most powerful fighter (meaning the fights weren't rigged beyond imagination, nerfing some fighters in the process for the sake of the viewer's entertainment) then Riku would have lost hands down to Xemnas, that shield simply put up too much of an obstacle for any of Riku's attacks. Don't think I'm saying there's anything wrong with those adjustments, I'm just saying that while either choice of recording would be fine, simply that not rigging the fights, (nasty word, honestly I am at a loss for a kinder one) and posting the actual results would be easier to deal with. XD Also, if you're not going to show the video between Xemnas and Riku, would you be willing to give us a rather detailed play by play of how badly he got owned?? Personally I'm curious as to how it went down.
A friendly suggestion as to how to go about doing this. Maybe you could try getting the video recorded, and uploaded as soon as you possibly can, then simply set the video to private so nobody can actually view it without your consent. I'm not saying that's the best way to go about doing this, but it's ONE way. Since none of us will know of the video's existance unless someone sends us a link directly to it, and even then we can't actually watch it. I'd think it an effective way to be effectively on time. If you can't prevent already added friends from watching them, then maybe consider making a new account for the videos and simply don't add friends under that account. (I know very little about actual youtube networking, so I'm just going by what's assumed, and what little I do know here. :P)
Saix is actually never 'invincible' he still takes damage regardless of his berserk form from what I can recall. He simply doesn't recoil from it. ;P The point of the numbers in the upper right were directly connected to Marluxia's Doom/Death counter. If you've seen the actual battle between Sora and Marluxia, you'd understand what I mean by that. But if you haven't I'll try to explain it like this: At the beginning of the battle, Marluxia inflicts the opponent with the Doom spell, which in turn gives them a number based on their level. (In this particular case Cloud was represented as level 99) For each hit Marluxia lands with his scythe or other attacks, the counter goes down instead of Cloud's heath. If that number were to reach zero before Cloud managed to kill Marluxia, then Cloud would have lost. To be more precise, for every combo Marluxia landed, that number would be multiplied by two (if I recall correctly) which in turn meant the next combo, Cloud would lose twice as many points. Furthermore, his Desperation Move (his most powerful attack) Does 4 times the normal subtraction rate, and that's not including the combo multiplier. What's most important to note, is it kept Cloud on a pretty damned tight leash. So tight it almost hung him. One more Desperation move, and it probably would've been over.
It was a good video, now for some personal critiques. Don't take these harshly, just what I think would make it better. The overall battle pace seemed sluggish to be blunt, probably because it was filmed/ emulated. Whatever the case, I'd like to see the battles sped up if only a little bit more. Too fast is better than too slow I think. I thought Cloud got kinda nerfed honestly in that vid, but maybe you had to. In his future fights, I think if you gave him a 6 hit combo while using omnislash (ya know, the 3 horizontal and 3 vertical strikes back to back) kinda like how Ally Cloud does it, then it would be a more threatening attack. He also never used his ground combo, he just Sonic Bladed whenever he was on the ground. It'd make a good recovery/counter combo, or a good follow-up combo after he Sonic Bladed in. Either way, Cloud won't stand a chance against Terra at this rate unless he steps up his game. I think the Omnislash combo would also be more epic in a smaller arena as well, since it will make him bounce around the arena's walls more. You said there was a download for this vid right? Maybe the speed was killed by youtube or something??
Eh, I for one can respect responsibility. Just do what you need to do. No need to go stepping all over each other's toes about it. 'sides, Where would any of this be without your glorious contributions right? So yeah, uhh.. for what it's worth I'm sorry as well if I came off as disrespectul/jerkish. So yeah, my money's still on Cloud...
Ugh, I've been waiting for hours on the first battle's vid, and when it's finally up, you take it down. I don't think anyone really cares what format it was in. I feel this really needs to be said, hence why I posted it here, as the other topic was locked.
Money's on Cloud... then again.. That Desperation move can eff Cloud up strong side.
