Again, the standard character alignments are Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil, Chaotic Evil, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral and Chaotic Neutral.

To sum up every alignment (Sorry if some are kinda long):

Lawful Good: Believes that Law is Good, that the Laws are there to help people (usually when confronted by a Lawful Neutral/Evil character) and that with order is the only way to be good.

Neutral Good: Will do good no matter what. Will follow the law if it helps, but if the law gets in the way of their altruistic mission, this character won't mind breaking a few laws to accomplish it.

Chaotic Good: Believes Law is obstructive and inefficient. Value their own freedom and will use that freedom to do good. In a sort of way, they believe that being free is a priviledge and that they should repay it by being as good as they can. Usually the kind of character who will oppose evil empires and are freedom fighters.

Lawful Evil: This is where it gets fuzzy. LE characters have, in theory, the same belief as the LG character that Law=Good. The problem comes when with the methods used. LG will attempt to do good as much as the law allows them, but the LE will impose an ironclad rule and very specific laws that they will stick and expect everyone to do it. These rules that can and will scr** you over. They have no mercy and as such, the only to describe them is as "tyranical", "fascist", "machiavelic", etc.

Haou in the Anime belonged to this alignment, but I guess Jaden the User (and many people here, actually) have problems grasping the concept of a rule-abiding villain, since they also see Yliaster, Aporia and Z-ONE as good.

In the other hand, there evil characters who are cowardly enough that the only way they will do evil is within the law and search for loopholes to accomplish this goal.

Neutral Evil: AKA the Selfish Evil, the Jerk Evil or simply the kind of evil most people think about. This character will either follow the law or break it, but never for its sake, as they are too selfish to care. This one comes in more flavours than most alignments: they are either neutral but lack a moral compass (Like Silver and Misa), believe they are good and everything they do is good even when most people tells them it isn't (Like Light and Yliaster), just plain evil and self-serving, or follow an evil character and wish spread the idea of evil among the world for evil's sake in a matter disturbingly similar to a priest... But for Evil (Like my Joker).

Chaotic Evil: AKA the original Joker's alignment. This one comes in second place when people think of evil, and it's possibly the most scary kind of evil. This character will break all the rules in the book and then some more, so they follow their wishes. They HATE following orders. Freedom is everything for them, and what is better to employ that freedom for than for evil? Everything and anything is a target for them, if they wish it so. If they wish it and it exists, they will do anything to get it. And if it doesn't exist, they will try to tear up the rules of reality so it exists and they can get it. Destroying the world in process of of getting what they want is fair game. In fact, many of this alignment are actually looking forward to do this.

Though LE and NE are fully capable of desiring this, as Lysandre and Cyrus from Pokémon show us. It's just that CE are so random that you almost expect them to attempt this.

Lawful Neutral: Will follow every rule, every law and ever order PERIOD.. It doesn't matter if the rule is bad or not, they follow it to the letter. They combine the "Law is there to help people" belief of the LG character and almost the same fanatism of the LE character. The only difference is that they won't lift a finger to help people with the law nor will they try to use twist the law to scr** people over. Even if the law would scr** them over, they won't do anything, since nobody is above the law, not even them. They are too bureucratic to help the LG in their good goals but they have enough morals to actually see if their leader or partner is abusing the law for evil goals or creating outright evil laws.

Chaotic Neutral: Did I bore you with the freedom speech? Sorry. They believe that freedom is to allow them to do whatever they want but they aren't bad people. They just want to left alone to do what they wish. You and this character have the same goal? Great, they may help you if they feel like it! Just accept the methods they use and you're ready to go, They don't? Too bad, pray that they won't do anything that goes against your plans, though for the most part they won't. They are the kind of character you could call amoral. Discord of MLP:FiM and Team Rocket of Pokémon are most obvious examples of this alignment.

True Neutral: Thoughts of this character: "This isn't my problem. As long as it doesn't affect me... I don't CARE about all of this "good", "evil", "law" or "chaos". I just want to be left alone . OK? Do you get it? No, you don't?! Really?! Gooooooosh... I just hope this finishes quickly... Nooooooo! For the last time, I'm not in this for your revolution, you forced to do this!"

So yeah, they are the common person, detached of everything and anything around them. They aren't commited into any extreme, they are just... Them. If they ever have a goal, it's either imposed into them by someone else or they just seek to accomplish this goal while they casually watch the rest of the world with different alignments or even fellow True Neutral people with indifference or disgust if they see something very evil but still, they won't get themselves involved. SirFred's Zack practically defines this.

Lawful Good, Neutral Good or Chaotic Good? Lol.

Most of my good characters are Neutral Good, though Pinkie Pie, the Fresh Cures, Cure Marine and Yuma were Chaotic Good and Madoka, Nanoha and Astral were more-or-less Lawful Good. Jaden's version of his character is Neutral Good(which is weird, because Canon!Jaden is Chaotic Good). Yusei and Aki were also Neutral Good and I guess Xion was also this.

My evil characters were Neutral Evil, like Joker and Silver. Misa was also borderline Neutral Evil, but the last setting she was in made her more True Neutral. The Bad End Cures were Chaotic Evil. And I can't do Lawful Evil to save my life but Jaden did a good impression of Lawful Evil with Haou. Yakumo did several evil characters, which lead to him being type-casted when he wanted to stay neutral. Aporia, Yliaster, and Ghost Guy were Neutral Evil and Diabolus Ex Machina was Chaotic Evil. Brooklyn's Z-ONE was close to Lawful Evil and his OC Void was Chaotic Evil, now Chaotic Neutral due to prefering to stay with Zack and annoy him and everyone else.

I also did a few neutral characters but they're a few. Daria was True Neutral, as was Misa. Discord was Chaotic Neutral, almost Chaotic Good and Silver was also Chaotic Neutral in his less selfish moments. SirFred's Zack is pure unadultered True Neutral but according to SirFred himself, Zack is more Neutral Good (Which I have to see yet).

But I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up. Gosh, I miss the days when roleplay wasn't such a bother. When several people can just come in and insert their character. The so-called "Plothole RP" had much more freedom than this. Actually, every time someone demands a more complex story for the RP, the RP ends up failing. Besides, we had a good RP when Latias briefly joined the random RP and it was only ruined when she left.

Whatever. It's a shame though, because Jail tecnically got away with what he did (And Haou too).

Note: I'm still gonna play villain. I need a way to lash out all my anger for this failed RP.

But Jaden could do it... :/

Plus your plan of going and dueling Haou was kinda random...

It doesn't matter. As I said, let's just do things at random as long as they make a little bit of sense. Like we used to do in the Arena 10.0.

Btw, I won't answer till tomorrow, maybe.

OOC: This isn't so much your fault as it is Latias'. Oh well. Let's just do random things as long as they make a little bit of sense.

Too. Late. That was why we needed closure for the duel part. Let's wait for Jaden, can we? I know all of you have made me Game Master but I would really appreciate his opinion of all of this.
Lol, "befriend" him! (You not gonna get this one) XD

I know Yubel cannot rise the dead, that was why I used "". "Killed people"/"Sent to the stars people" were sent to a different dimension (apparently only if they were main characters/people Jaden cared about). Though I know you might have a rebuttal about this so yeah, not gonna use it now.

But oh, well. Latias can be dead if she wants to. Though that would be mean she would be excluded from this RP.

I need Jaden's opinion on it. But if we do kill you off, then Yubel can "revive" you.

Btw @Jaden Yuki, why Yubel never interacts here?

    @Jaden Yuki and @Yakumo:

Usually I'd go "Sure, why not?" and I was about to say so. But the problem here is that the RP would finish too soon. I was planning to duel Haou first as Yuma, then Latias could duel as Aeridusa and if that failed, SirFred as Lucia could finish Haou.

But noooooo. Latias decided to simply go without thinking of a plan or even considering the other characters. And I thought it was my character the one who was a naïve fool.

So I can't let you kill Latias, Jaden.

Oh btw, I think everyone forgot Haou was just the first Big Bad and Jail is still around ready to experiment on Gas Mask Guy or Lucia or Yuma & Astral if left alone. And he technically has some of theNumbers as I already mentioned through Yuma.

Do I have to kidnap Jaden again so this RP won't go into weirder directions again? Or should we stop pretending this RP had a story (I could go and bring the ponies Jaden desires oh-so-much)? Or do I bring more characters(Then I hope you don't mind my crowd tendencies)?

Btw, I wanted to clarify that physical attacks aren't off limits in this RP. They are only limited to never actually win a fight a la Hopeless Boss Fight so duels will be the only solution to a conflict.

I'm sorry for not telling this to Latias earlier but at least Yakumo does understand this system as it was a standard in our Cures RP.

Yakumo's character wasn't doing anything when Aeri dueled him. Actually, his character was very much undefined until this RP, when he is a mostly-neutral maybe-even-good gas mask mysterious person.

Gung-ho as in fight-happy. Aeridusa seems to always get herself in duels (something I commented upon as Silver IC in the last RP).
Post by: Toon-Girl-Abby, Jan 1, 2015 in forum: The Playground
  17. Toon-Girl-Abby
That was also a flaw. You should have let the characters become more friendlier to each other. That is why I said you can get a bit gung-ho.

We decided it to be that way. But I wanted at least close the duel part with Yuma and Jaden saying that it was a good duel and some stuff like that. Now Aeridusa went away and it wouldn't make sense for Kuriboh-boy, Shrimp-boy and Yubel-ripoff to not notice it.

Then keep looking for the Super De-Fusion card. Or else you are gonna appear only in the very last parts of the RP.
