Oh you don't want to know everything, we'd be here far too long. I've been tossing and turning about whether to outright leave here due to many personal issues, not such a fun time. I feel like raiding some fictional enemy ships and stealing the rum before devouring aaaaaall of it
Not if Pan doesn't exist in the RP thread themself they won't be
Yana gave the boy a quizzical look. Why did the life of one person matter so much to him? Minion wasn't important, she was just a tool used to create suffering and take the burden of it all from Yana. "If you can teach her how to make a portal right now, then maybe I won't burn you to a crisp for the moment. How's that sound to you? Portal's here for another five minutes. If you want to try to save her so badly, then in you come. Do well enough, and maybe I'll let her go. Choice is yours, kiddo" the young witch said, before walking into the portal and vanishing with an eerie cackle. She glanced at Annabelle and sat down nearby the girl on a log. "You should clean up a bit, Minion. Methinks we will be getting some company" she giggled. Zach scowled a little as Ana mentioned that Vyle was her friend. Friends with a vampire? He hadn't even thought that was possible. Then again, he knew his opinion was exceptionally biased. "Well, I can't pretend that doesn't make a little sense. I never knew you had such poor taste in friends though, Ana. Then again, if he's truly trying to benefit humanity as he claims..." he said, turning his head slightly to look in the direction of Vyle, "then you have my interest, vampire" the werewolf finished. He wasn't being his usual friendly self, which was very much odd for Zach, but the fact that he hadn't outright demanded the vampire left, began yelling, or outright attacked him spoke volumes about how much patience the boy was exercising.
I'll be posting Wednesday my time, as I already stated.
Shane wasn't so surprised when Alexis brushed his hand away. While he knew all of her past now, that didn't mean they were friends. They had something in common, and each of them now knew a great deal about the other, but that didn't mean that anything had changed. She was still a distraction, though she had her reasons. He'd still have to keep an eye on her, although after knowing what she'd been through, he wasn't entirely sure he could stop her if she tried. If he'd found some way to distract himself and someone tried to stop him from doing just that, how would he react? Probably just grumble a little and move on, wouldn't he? You would kill them. You did once, you will do so again Shane whirred around, panic setting in almost immediately. Whose voice was that he'd heard? Was there another telepath? He'd thought he was the only one. As he calmed down a little, the realization set in. It wasn't another telepath, it wasn't another voice, it had been his own subconsciousness. Deep down, there was a will to harm others. He'd known it for a while, but he was doing everything in his power to keep that locked away...although the stronger he got, the stronger the voice got. How long would he hold out against it before he gave in? He hoped that would never happen. Doing his best to put those thoughts behind him, he walked straight past Alexis and Remy and towards the stairs. As he did so, he reached out with his pushing ability, planting a tiny thought that would be easily resisted if Remy chose, but if he did not he would suddenly find himself feeling the desire to count to three in Irish out loud, Shane providing the words that would be needed should he choose to do so.
Yana turned to face the one who had spoken. A boy, bargaining for Annabelle's freedom. With a sour expression on her face, she held up a single hand on her right side and created a portal. "Nope, nope, the deal wasn't made with you. It was made with her. Aaaaaall her responsibility, but since she can't then she isn't allowed just yet. How did you not get set on fire? I could've sworn I got everyone. Oh well, always next time. Minion, into the portal. I'll be having a talk with you after I've gotten some answers out of this little brat" she said, for once her voice sounding completely serious and more than a little annoyed. She didn't have much magical energy left, likely only enough for one more spell after the portal, but this guy didn't know that. Maybe she could scare him into talking, and if she couldn't....well, she'd just have to make a return trip once she got her strength up. Zach slowly rose up from where he lay. His transformation had reverted, the thing he'd taken earlier finally kicking in. However, he had a new problem, one that he encountered after every transformation; he was completely stark naked. With a grumble, he got up and wandered over to his home. He stopped for a brief moment, glaring at the vampire as he passed, before continuing on. He walked over to his closet and quickly tossed some clothing on the ground, got changed, and headed outside. Sighing, he sat down on the ground, same position as always; sitting like a dog. "Okay, now that I'm not likely to bite your heads off, can someone explain to me what the hell a vampire is doing on my property?" the male asked. Matthias had finally left the city of Vizima and made his way to the nearby woods. There seemed to be woods all over the world, always there for when he needed to lay low for a bit. He didn't doubt that he could handle many more people inside the city, but he needed to give them time to behave like bunnies and pop out a few more potential victims. He didn't feel like waiting 9 months for that to happen, but at the very least they could bring their loved ones inside to grief. He'd even do them a favor and reunite them with the recently departed if they went there. But no, for the moment he had to sit and stay like a good dog, inside the woods, hidden away. Once The Change wore off, he could wash off the blood and go into town to see what happened, maybe even gain the trust of the people there. He wasn't well known by many there, but there were those that knew him as the champion of the streetfights, and that was a good enough foothold to get a following. And the more people he could gain the loyalty of, the easier it would be to feast upon them when the time came. Callum was faced with immeasurable odds. He was surrounded by at least six people, with all six of them taking the money away from him at a rapid pace. No, he wasn't being mugged, but by god was the brothel making a profit in that hour.
Drake stood there as Flame kissed him, stunned. He did recover and kiss her back, only for her to break away from it. He'd wanted to do that for some time, but had never seemed to find the right moment. It had been everything he'd imagined it to be, and now the moment was over. He looked down at Veera and was ashamed to realise that for just a very, very brief moment he had forgotten about her. Kneeling down as Flame began to leave, he looked at Veera straight in the eyes. "We both know you're stronger than this, Veera. We will be as quick as we can, but you need to hold your own. I know you can beat this. Don't give up, do you hear me? Keep fighting" Drake encouraged. He then got up and hurried after Flame. She fired off a green flare, which was very confusing to Drake due to it normally being associated with a change of formation. Shouldn't she have used a purple one? It didn't matter too much though, so long as it got people over. Hopefully that's what would happen before it was too late.
Shane paused for a moment. He'd just told this woman what he'd done, what he could do, and she was still asking him to search through her memories? Why? He nodded slowly and silently. "I'll do it" he stated. A look of intense concentration materialized on his face as he began sifting through her memories. The good, and the bad. As he went through each memory, he understood a little more. Why she was the way she was, why she did the things she did. In less than ten minutes, he had learned more about Alexis than most would in an entire lifetime, and as he got deeper and deeper into her memories, his expression softened. He hadn't tried to prevent it due to the concentration, but it happened. Gradually it turned from a look of intense concentration, to simply focusing, then to great concern, and finally a look of stern sorrow. He didn't look like he was about to cry, but he didn't look like he was far from it. At last, he finished reading the memories of the woman before him. He didn't say a word for a good minute. He simply sat there, frozen. What he had just witnessed was a little overwhelming, and he wasn't sure how to handle it all. Eventually he shifted his gaze from looking at the ground to straight at Alexis. It wasn't extremely noticeable, but if the girl paid enough attention she would see a very small amount of silent tears travelling straight from the telepath's eyes and down his cheeks. "I'm sorry you had to go through all of that" he said, not sure what to say. One thing was certain; he had gained an enormous amount of respect for Alexis for enduring so much. He knew what it was like to experience immense pain and not be able to release it easily. It was an eternal burden, and one that started off small but always built up until eventually it broke a person's back and they could no longer carry it without help. But whereas he had had Colton to help him for a bit, Alexis had suffered alone. That was going to change, right then and there. Quickly, he raised his elbows and wiped away the tears on his jacket, before simply sitting there in silence once more. Sometimes, all it took was a friend to simply sit nearby. Just knowing someone was there would help immensely, he hoped. "I think if I tried hard enough, I could allow you to see my memories as I just saw yours. The better question is if you wanted to though. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but if you'd like to at any point that's your decision. It seems we have both suffered though...that kind of pain should never be inflicted upon anyone" Shane said gently, before standing up. "It proves just how strong you are though, to go through that and keep going. It's inspiring, really. With someone as mentally strong as you helping, this tower doesn't stand a chance. Shall we continue on?" he asked, holding out his hand and offering to help her up. Only now did Oscar realize his brother was right. Wiping the slight smirk off of his face, he quickly scanned the room they were in. "You're right. Standing around here talking isn't going to beat the tower. We should probably work on that" he replied. He jerked a thumb in the direction of where Zephyr had headed off. "I guess that's our cue" he stated simply, before following suit. As everyone headed up the stairs, Gexln began following. He hadn't said a word to anyone, and until people began questioning who the random guy that walked out of a portal of darkness was, he saw no point in doing so. The less people he was attached to, the easier it was going to be if they fell in battle.
Especially since it already began!
Well ****. That had backfired. She hadn't told him much at all, and no specifics really. She'd just rambled about her background. His was painful enough but hers..he couldn't even imagine what that was like. Against his better judgement, he found himself getting up and sitting in front of her. He stopped using his pushing ability entirely, leaving the decision completely up to her. For a moment he found no words, simply letting it all sink in, and then he spoke. "What you're doing here is trying to become more. Powers or no powers, you're more than you think you are; more than what that scumbag made you feel that you are. The power to influence peoples' emotions is a pretty powerful thing. Believe me, I'd know. If I wanted to, I could probably read through peoples' memories, figure out what drives them and then have more than a couple of people doing whatever I wanted them to. So could you, with your abilities. But you don't. Why do you think that is? Because, Alexis, you're better than that. Better than anyone else has ever treated you like. You fought your way through the floors below and made it look easy, isn't that proof enough?" Shane asked, ending his inspirational piece. He thought a little more about what her words meant. She didn't even have telepathy as far as he could tell, and here she was actually reminding him of his past. He had used his powers to manipulate people. Not just once, but many times. "I can't quite say the same for myself. I used to be scared of using my powers. Still am, to an extent. One day I got pushed pretty far though and, well....people suffered for it. So I went looking for help, and you know what I found? A monster. The guy captured me and used me for experiments, pushing me to use my powers on those who couldn't resist, while monitoring my progress. Then once that was done, I was tossed into a cell and left to nothing but my own thoughts. He used me, and I hate him for it. So, after a bit I got sick of it and I tried to escape. I brought a grown man to tears right before me, exploiting his biggest fears and then I..I.." he said, voice cracking a little under the emotional pressure. "and then I forced him to kill all those around him that had trusted him, before turning the gun on himself" "Good. I don't know if I could handle things on my own. Although, I wouldn't say you're not a kid. If you aren't a kid anymore, why did you turn red the moment you even came close to seeing a woman without her clothes on?" Oscar asked, teasing his brother.
Using his mind reading powers, Shane had in a sense been there for the whole thing, albeit from Alexis' point of view. Thankfully he didn't actually see anything, but he'd certainly seen the thoughts. He had decided to eavesdrop on the conversation, after all he didn't trust anyone there as far as he could throw them, which if he was Christie could've been quite far, but he didn't have that kind of power and so he barely trusted any of them. Things took a surprising turn when Ze Operator broke away. He was impressed, the guy was far better at resisting the girl's power than he himself was. Perhaps they weren't as screwed as it seemed after all. Well, not so long as he could keep watch over Alexis and prevent her working her magic. That being said, he now had a new problem. After that, chances were Alexis wasn't focusing, in fact he'd be surprised if she was. That had to change. He could use any number of his abilities to force her to change, but it was better if it came from her. That way he wouldn't have to fix any issues later on, she'd hopefully have the strength to do it herself. Instead of doing someone herself. Walking into the room, he carefully went over to the girl who looked more than a little upset. This was the first time he'd seen her like that, which wasn't good. It meant she was most certainly vulnerable. He could feel the familiar tug of his mind wanting to simply change her emotional state, but he resisted the urge. He took a seat nearby her. Not close enough he could reach, but close enough she'd be able to hear him quite easily; he wasn't going to get tricked into trying to screw her again. He decided that instead of giving away he'd read her mind, he would instead play dumb and try not to set her off. "Everything okay?" he asked, using his pushing ability ever so slightly. She'd feel not that she wanted to completely open up, but at least tell him what had happened so he didn't have to pretend anymore. "No, we didn't have to get involved with other people. This is the quickest way to fix things though, Samuel. If we want to make a difference at all, we have to have the strength to do it. That means mental and physical, and from what I heard this place is the best place to do it. Just try to take it easy and let your brother handle the load, I'll carry it all on my shoulders if I have to. See? Nothing to worry about just now" Oscar said reassuringly. He would leave the tower if Samuel insisted, but hopefully his little brother would see the importance of it all. Oscar was strong, but without the brains of Samuel things would be a hell of a lot more difficult. As a corridor of darkness opened up, a figure stepped out of it. He was the Nobody, Gexln. He'd heard of a place that would truly test a person's strength, and at last he had found it. He wasn't sure what he had expected, but it certainly wasn't what he saw. A death gauntlet full of the most courageous and bloodthirsty warriors, a darkness wielding maniac, hell even Kross' mother with a machine gun would've been more intimidating than what he saw. He chose not to say a word, but instead simply wait for the group to advance for the moment. While these people were his competitors, not his allies, there was strength in numbers. If the Tower was anywhere near as dangerous as he had been told, they would need every man, woman and child. Especially the children. The more of them there were, the chances were they'd find a third Eon...gods, wouldn't that make things easier?
Caleb observed the situation carefully, finding the lack of a decision bothersome. All it was, was a constant back and forth of 'lets see the beadle' and 'lets see the judge, screw the beadle'. Well, he figured it was time to contribute. "I don't know, I kind of like the idea of going to see the judge" Without saying a word, Skadi used her ice make magic and created a staircase of ice, because screw you that's one of the more simple things ice make can do. She then ascended the staircase and waited at the top for all those who couldn't get up to, well, get up. "There's always someone to beat up, Thomas. Once they tell us who, I bet you fifty jewels that I can beat them up way better than you" Gaius stated.
Somehow or another, I'll find the light. I'll bring it to the attention of those dear to me, and I'm not stopping until I succeed.
Glen, who had been suspiciously silent this entire time, was completely fine with the group going to fight the master blot. Sure, he would've loved to have been there helping, but they had their own battle to fight and he had his. He'd gotten up a bit ago from the cage, and was about to go and make some motivational speech or something to assist Stratos, when he saw Base esc- walking away. Hurrying over, he grabbed Base's arm and pulled as hard as he could to get his friend over to the others. "You're doing otherwise! You are going to help, and you're going to like it. The others are relying on us, so get your ass into gear and lets go slay some blots" he said, attempting to 'guide' Base over towards Stratos.
"He wouldn't be ashamed of you. You've come pretty far, Samuel. He'd be proud, if anything. You just need to do your best to keep yourself calm. We don't know where we are or what to expect, we have to be careful. We'll get through this. I'll kill them all myself if I have to" Oscar said, reassuring his brother. Not even an hour into the place, and his brother had already annoyed somebody, as well as Oscar himself had gotten pissed off. What was he going to do? This was going to be a loooooong adventure. Shane stood there, analysing the situation. Things seemed to be getting more and more intense, but what was he to do? He couldn't go and wipe their memories to make things better, not even he was that powerful. Even if he could, he wouldn't. He'd done that once, and the consequences...they had been dire. He wasn't keen to experience it again.
Well, Hunter was disappointed to say the least. They'd gone from their little home to the walled city, and not a single titan had been encountered. Not even one of the little ones that posed little threat. What was the point of living on the edge if everything was safe as hell? There weren't even any guards on the walls or anything, the place was practically deserted from what he could tell. Landing next to Gale and performing a neat little break roll so he didn't injure himself, he opened his mouth to speak. "I bet I can take down more of them than you guys can. Who wants to take that bet?" he questioned, obviously taking it as seriously as the situation demanded. Akari was swinging through the streets, watching and keeping an eye on the area around her. She had her gear, and that she was thankful for, but she couldn't shake the feeling it was a bad idea to be there. She hadn't been inside the walled city since she was a child, and now that she was back many painful memories had resurfaced. Her gear was good, her inventive skills were superb, but not even the most powerful inventions could bring back her dead parents or undo her past. She just hoped everything went good in the operation. As she landed next to Gale and the others and began following them, one single thing was going through her mind. Please be okay. I don't know that I can handle another lost friend. Drake couldn't believe what he was seeing. Of all people that had come to rescue him, it had been Flame. She was doing a damn fine job of rescuing them, Drake couldn't deny that, but was it just her? Or had more come to help? He sat there, attempting to free himself still, but halfway through Flame's demands he swore under his breath and dropped the dagger. He'd cut himself slightly, but more importantly the dagger wasn't working. He sat there, simply waiting as the guard came over to him and with a shaking hand unlocked the shackles around Drake's wrist. Drake stood up and nearly thanked the guard, before remembering everything he had put them through. With a vicious left hook, the scout leader hit the guard square in the jaw, sending the man staggering backwards. The guard's ally went to step forward, but Drake shot a glare off towards him. "I took down two guards with nothing but my feet, did you really want to try me with my hands free too?" he threatened. The other guard stopped, as the one that had freed Drake backed away. Immediately Drake rushed over to Flame and stood right in front of her. While he should have been thankful, and a large part of him was, there was no way he wasn't going to say something. "Amber! What are you doing here? Where are the others? You shouldn't be here! You saw how they treat fae, you think they're going to just let you leave? You can't be here Amber, it's too dangerous! Why would you risk everything for us? Do you have any idea what it would do to your father, or everyone, if something happened to you? I...I couldn't even imagine what I would do without you! I don't even want to think about it, I'd rather face a thousand titans than think about it for even a second, why would you risk all that?!" he asked. He hadn't raised his voice; he'd never yell at her, but his tone of voice made the worry in his words stupidly evident.
Name: Nataša Filipović Age: 19 Gender: Female World of Origin: The Serpent's Nest Home worlds status: Destroyed Affiliation: Dark Keyblade Name: Dragon's Wrath Character Appearance: Here you go Personality: Cunning, a little mysterious. Doesn't see the point of meaningless violence, but will use many reasons to begin. Character bio: The Serpent's Nest was once a land filled with many mythical creatures, the most dominant being dragons. When an individual came of age, they picked a dragon to become their parabatai, forming an incredibly powerful link that heightens the capabilities of both of the creatures involved to their maximum potential. Natasa's parabatai was called Gretchen, and was a runt of the litter. The black dragon was often overlooked and neglected, much like Natasa herself was. However, once the two formed their link, they became immensely powerful. Their strength rivalled that of the gods they worshipped, and together they fought off many invaders. However, eventually a threat emerged that was so strong that the two of them together could not defeat it, and as a warrior engulfed completely in darkness approached their world's core, Gretchen tried desperately to stop them. The warrior struck the dragon down without a second thought, using the strength of the mystical weapon they carried to siphon the spirit of the dragon inside of it as they destroyed the world entirely. The moment the dragon died, Natasa was weakened. Without a parabatai, she was nowhere near as powerful as she had once been, and a small part of her would be forever dead inside of her, a hole nothing could fill, no matter what she tried. She decided the only way to truly combat the warrior would be to understand darkness itself, and set out to help those that would attempt to destroy the worlds she had once fought so hard to protect.
Right as Hunter was about to respond, he suddenly got an intense feeling of Deja Vu. It was like someone had been writing his life story, and had attempted to write this part before only to backspace it repeatedly, but that was crazy talk, wasn't it? In any case, he got this tight feeling in his stomach, as though something were terribly wrong, as though he had missed something for a long time or otherwise forgotten something extremely important. But what was it? Oh, of course, he'd been an idiot and forgotten about the most important thing! A sandwich! He'd forgotten he was hungry! Ah well, he'd have to fix that later. "You're making a man choose between having a good f**k, and knowledge that may prove the downfall of a woman in an argument? You absolute monster. You vile, evil wench. Clearly i'm rubbing off on you" Hunter stated, a little smugly. Had he actually just called someone a wench? What had been in those drinks? He thought long and hard about the decision. In the end, it came down to one thing. Was he going to feel like a legend, having the romp of a lifetime, or actually be a legend and defeat a woman in verbal battle? Well crap, when he put it like that it was a stupidly simple decision. Holding out his hand, he unleashed a cocky grin. "The choice has been made. I choose to find out why you wanted the man dead. The real reason, not some horrible fake story. But it shall not happen here, for I do not wish to be killed by guards. Actually, screw walking. It will happen here, without the guards" the man declared. He climbed up the side of a very small building they had been standing nearby as two guards came patrolling. "BANZAI!" Hunter yelled out, as he leaped off of the building and rapidly descended towards the guards, his sword ready at the ready. He was going to **** some **** up. "Oh you worry too much. Relax, they'll die pretty quick. If I can steal things from the most professional guards without them noticing until a couple of minutes later, I think I can manage to kill a few weak minded fools without them doing anything. It's all about the approach. Being really stealthy and all, just watch" Tobias explained. He took one of the throwing knives and held it up in the air, showing his new comrade. "You aim one of these things properly, and it doesn't matter what they throw at you" he stated. He heard the kidnappers approaching. It was faint, but he could hear it; which meant they were close enough a good throwing knife would take care of them, provided he landed it right. He raced forward and stood in front of them, before hurling a throwing knife at one of the guards. The knife landed its blade straight in between the eyes of one of the four men. As the body hit the floor, Tobias felt a bloodthirsty surge go through his body. "My name is Tobias Greipr, and you are about to be fucking murdered!" he bellowed, drawing his daggers and preparing for battle.
I already gave you a name and I'm standing by it. His name shall be Sheldon, for Finding Nemo is the way of life!
