TRIGGERED Nominating Hikaru, Kel, Karina, Beuce and Kaida for the battle.
As Caleb listened to what was going on, it became more and more evident that this place...kind of sucked. More importantly though, this Turpin and Beadle person were people that certainly had to be found. He had a couple of questions he wanted to ask ms lovette, but he was unable to do so. No, finding Turpin and the Beadle came first. So, he simply waited. Skadi thought for a moment about the situation at hand. The guardians had gone missing, and everyone was getting sick. Could the two be related? "Silvia, I'll stay to help you heal them. I'm not so great at it, certainly not as good as you, but the sooner we get through this the sooner we can find the guardians, which I'd say is our top priority. If these guardians are what was keeping them from being sick before, I'd say finding them should be top priority. So" the ice mage said, taking a step away from the group momentarily. "Shall we get started?" she questioned. "Fine we'll help you. You probably shouldn't stay here though, place is full of fightin' all the time. One moment it's peaceful, the next someone's beating the crap out of someone, it's a bit too dangerous for people being hunted down. I know a place you could hide out until then, but I think we should just go find them and stop them ourselves" Gaius suggested, as hot headed as ever. "Gaius, calm down. The place would be far less dangerous if you weren't always picking fights, I swear" Gexln said with a sigh as he approached the group. He looked straight at the demons. "He's right though. If you're being hunted, hiding won't do you much good. It might delay them for a little bit, but it's always going to end up the same. We've handled pretty big things before. Hell, most of these guys just got back from stopping a madman from releasing an unstoppable demon. If you want to hide while we go stop them, go for it, but you should confront it head on with us and help us make the hunters become the hunted" the dragon slayer stated. He was pretty eager to go and kick some ass. If he could make it half as painful for the hunters as the headache he had was making it for him, well they'd never mess with the demons ever again. It was a little odd, helping demons. He remembered a time where he would've been far more likely to go and help the demon hunters, but times had very much changed since then.
Name: Zane Wynter Title: The boy who would shatter time Faction (Order of The Hammer, The Shards of Hope or neither): Order of The Hammer Age: 20 Gender: Male Description: It's not about how much time you have... Personality: Cool, calm and collected most of the time unless a friend is in danger. Somewhat upbeat, and loyal to The Order of The Hammer Weapons: Greatsword. If this isn't okay, go with a longsword. Armour: Light armour Abilities (passive and active): Spoiler Passive: Level 5 Immortality Time splicer: Zane cuts away at the fabric of time itself with each swing of his blade against an opponent. After three hits, his time manipulation kicks in and slows his opponents briefly. Demi God: Zane is naturally stronger, faster and more intelligent than most humans. He has a greater resistance to poisons and toxins than humans. Time Immunity: Zane has immunity to the effects of time manipulation from other sources. Active: Timewinder: Zane throws a device forward in which he has previously stored a large amount of his time magic in. The device, after a few meters of travelling or on impact, expands and releases this power, slowing the rate of time for everything in the area, including Zane himself if he is close enough. Phase Dive: Zane rolls forward and plans his next attack carefully. As he goes to unleash it, he releases a short burst of time manipulation and speeds himself up greatly, near teleporting to his opponent and striking them with his blade. Once he commits to this attack though, he cannot stop it and will collide with any and all objects in his path. Chronobreak: If the situation gets desperate enough, Zane can rewind time by up to four seconds, with all remembering exactly what happened during those four seconds. However, this leaves Zane with so little energy left maintaining consciousness is a struggle. Time Freeze: Using his manipulation over time, Zane has the power to freeze time itself for four seconds, with the actions done in these four seconds happening simultaneously the second it wears off and time resumes. However, this leaves Zane with so little energy left afterwards maintaining consciousness is a struggle. Strengths: Fast on his feet, his determination is not easily shaken, physically fit and stronger than he looks. Weaknesses: Often lets his emotions guide him, rather than what his head is telling him. History: Zane Wynter is a Demi God blessed with the ability to manipulate time, but if you ask him he would tell you it's more of a curse. At a young age he discovered his talents, and began to practice. This lead to many troubling events, one of which one day cost him his sister's life. In a terrible accident sparked by him not using his abilities responsibly, his sister was impaled and died quickly. Distraught, Zane tried to use his powers to reverse time; something that he had been expressly forbidden from doing, but he couldn't do it. Not long enough. Time and time he tried again, but he could only go as far back as the accident himself, forcing himself to watch her die over and over again but always be powerless to stop it. Go forward a few years, and Zane was fighting for the Order of The Hammer. He had to hone his abilities and protect what mattered. He intended on mastering the abilities he had been blessed with, enough to the point that he could surpass the gods themselves and finally atone for his mistakes, and revive the one person he held dearest. Other: Name: Lilith Title: The thief who wanted it all Faction: Neither Age: 23 Gender: Female Description: Here Personality: Easily excited, quick to act, not particularly loyal, manipulative and deceitful. Weapons: Two small daggers Armour: Anything light and easy to move in Abilities (passive and active): Once again, will edit some in tomorrow Strengths: Street smart, very agile, can read people fairly well Weaknesses: Quick to act, almost always goes with her gut instinct no matter how bad it seems History: Throughout her entire life, Lilith has always been a thief, and a good one at that. Chances are if something's missing and it wasn't nailed down, she has it. She's very dedicated to her craft, meaning most don't trust her and those that do know her make sure to keep an eye on her at all times. This didn't spare her parents from being robbed blind though when Lilith was only 16. It was her masterpiece, everything vanishing from the house in the span of two weeks with them barely noticing any of it vanishing at the same time as their daughter. There was one thing she wanted more than anything though, more than any sexual partner or object the world could give her; she wanted to steal the powers of the demi gods. While that may have seemed impossible to most, so would the existence of a person like Lilith, and it wasn't like she had anything better to do, so why the hell not? Other:
Name: Nasir Gender: Male Age: 26 Class: Slave-trader Weapon(s): Longspear Armour: Cloth armour Magic/incantations: Pure Magic (otherworld), and Light (Justice) Crafting: Alchemy Specialism: AP Appearance: Here, take it Personality: Bit of an a*****e, very rude and bossy. Doesn't like loss of control, and if he doesn't get his way he will resort to whatever means necessary to get it. VERY enthusiastic about slavery. Origination: Eredan Backstory: Nasir doesn't socialize much unless he can make a profit from it. He hates people, people hate him, it works out rather nicely. He had a relatively standard upbringing, nothing too fancy or anything, until he broke into the slavery trade. He loved it, he got paid for ruining peoples' lives, what more could a man want? Day by day he attempted to capture people and sell them into slavery, sometimes taking homeless people by surprise and other times actually convincing them it could be a good life (but those ones were incredibly stupid and nobody wanted them), until the undead began rising. Ever the businessman, Nasir didn't see this as a threat but rather as an investment. What could be better than a slave that you could work to death repeatedly? Name: Tobias Greipr Gender: Male Age: 16 Class: Assassin Weapon(s): Daggers and throwing knives Armour: Light armour Magic/incantations: Dark (trickery) incantation Specialism: AP Appearance: HERE Personality: A little sadistic, little bit of a massochist too, but driven and very strong-willed. Friendly enough until injury comes into play. Origination: The wilderness Backstory: Not much happened during Tobias' childhood. He grew up in an abusive household, being yelled at and injured all over the place. Eventually, he came to like it to an extent, almost as much as he liked harming others. This didn't change as he got older, shown in many ways. He found work as an assassin, doing jobs for small amounts of money, but over time this began to bore him. He wanted more, he wanted more challenging jobs, and he found it with the uprising of the dead. He could kill them but they were much more difficult, and so he dedicated much of his time to picking them off. Some may come to see him as a hero, others as the scumbag he is, but who really cares?
Callum almost completely ignored everything that had happened, focusing solely on drinking constantly. It wasn't his problem, and he was being paid for it to become his problem, so what was the point? However, Tessa had been given more money and looked a little uncomfortable. Surely her drinks weren't that expensive? His first thought was that he could raise the price he was asking for, then he remembered she wasn't even paying him and didn't actually want him around. Getting up, he reached into his pocket and pulled out some coins. It wasn't that much, but it was enough to cover the drinks he'd had. "May as well go after the guy. If nothing else he pays well, maybe you could get a higher paying job than a barmaid. Drinks weren't so bad, but if I'm not flat on my ass quickly there's no point in drinking" the Witcher said, slapping the coins just in front of Tessa. He started walking off, before stopping. "You might not want to pick names, but that's the only way to get rid of me. Change your mind and use a courier or something, people fear me but I'm not that hard to track down. Tell that other guy, the one that lead me to that place, the same thing. Least he's paying me" Callum said with a shrug, before walking out of the bar. If he couldn't silence his demons with alcohol, he'd have to do better. And he knew just the place to go. Yana was watching carefully, not willing to give up the charade, especially when the angry glares of the villagers slowly turned to Annabelle (as decided by coin flip). One by one, the villagers stalked towards the little girl. Some of them had pitchforks, others had torches, and those that didn't had murderous intent plastered all over their face and that was all the weapon they needed against the young child. Unfortunately, Yana couldn't let her minion die. She'd used so much magic putting up the act that she was reasonably tired. In fact, as far as her magic went she could probably only work up a basic spell before having enough energy to run away. Fortunately, a basic spell was just what she needed. "W-wait! There's one more thing you have to know!" she said, stopping the fake tears as a wicked gleam appeared in the young witch's eyes. "You're aaaaaaaall gonna die" Yana claimed, releasing that wicked cackle she was so well-known for. With the flames in her left hand now appearing, and the flames in her right hand, she put them all together and thrust them downwards, releasing a searing wave of flame that radiated all around her, setting each of the villagers on fire. Many of them began screaming in pain, others just suffered silently, but one thing was certain; there was now almost no attention on Annabelle at all. Hopping down from her little podium, the witch rushed over to Annabelle and grabbed her arm, pulling it away. "Now, minion, this is your last test. Do this, and you're free. Make a portal to our camp, and everything will get better" she said. If Annabelle couldn't make the portal properly, a lot of running was going to have to happen, and she simply didn't have the time for that.
The second Veera had tried to escape, Drake had moved into action trying to get the damn chains around his hands off. The sooner he could manage that, the better for both of them. He had a small dagger concealed in his socks that they somehow hadn't managed to find, maybe he could pick the lock with that. After a few moments of attempting to move the blade, it became evident it was going to work. It was then he saw Veera stabbed with the sword of one of the scouts. Immediately, fury welled up inside of the scout leader. He was not going to lose another one, not if he could help it. Shackles be damned, he was going to have to act quickly and precisely. The fools hadn't shackles his feet, only his hands. Racing forward, he leaped up and landed a vicious roundhouse kick to the skull of the first scout, knocking him out cold as his body collapsed on the ground. The scout that was attacking Veera wasn't letting up though, he looked as though he had every intent to kill. If that were the case, then Drake would have to do the same or risk losing his friend. Swiftly, he swung his foot down below, sweeping the scout off of his feet and knocking him to the ground. Lifting his hands over the guard's head, the scout leader then spread his hands apart so the chains between them were tight, then pulled back against the guard's neck, making sure to push his body back with the strength in his legs. His foe soon lost the will to fight, and with it his life. Releasing the scout, he let the body slide to the ground and stood up. He felt a little sick after committing outright murder like that, but he had to make sure that Veera was okay. He rushed over and grabbed the blade awkwardly, but before he ripped it out he had a thought; if he pulled out the sword, would she die? Was this sword preventing the leakage of blood that would kill her? Letting go of it, he decided to let her make the decision. For now, he had to make sure she stayed conscious. "Veera? Are you okay?" he asked. No sooner had he said that then footsteps could be heard coming towards them. At least one other guard, maybe more, were on their way. Things were getting more intense by the second, and he had to get them both out of there quickly. He looked down at the small dagger, still where it had been, and began furiously trying to free himself of the shackles. Akari finally stumbled back into the clearing. She actually fell forward, sending all the gear she'd gathered straight onto the ground. She'd been gone for a while not because her rper forgot about her(okay that's the entire reason shut up), but because the king had assigned her to bring back all the gear they'd need. Now, how she was going to bring that much gear back had never been mentioned to her, and so she had improvised. While she had fallen forward and dropped much of the gear, it was easy to see the huge cart behind her, filled with all of the gear. Looking up from the ground, she blew a strand of hair that had fallen onto her face away. "Here's your gear" she said.
Gaius wasn't sure what was more surprising, the fact that someone was a bigger **** than Thomas, or the fact that Thomas....actually seemed a little threatening. What was the world coming to? "I can't believe I'm sayin' this, but I agree with Thomas. That really is his thing. Maybe I just want to see more of this arcane power thing, or maybe I just love destruction too much, but I say we let him blast them" he stated, encouraging the use of his arcane magic. The moment the words left his mouth, however, he remembered the pile of ash that had once been Levy, and dove forward, whacking Thomas upside the head just hard enough to register. "Changed my mind. Let's find out what they need first. Oh by the way, I learned magic that'd up your flirting game way more. You should look into it, maybe you won't be a total flop with women" Gaius said. He then reached down and placed his hand on his chest, and focused on using his Crash magic solely on his shirt, causing it to break down and disintegrate immediately, leaving his chest exposed and his muscles that he had magically acquired by being in an anime for all to see. Caleb raised an eyebrow as the woman came out. Since when were they in costumes? And since when did people wearing those get referred to as costumers? He was sure there was another term for it. "No, we're not customers, we're here on a mission. Although, I am kind of hungry. What's in those pies?" he asked. Fairies dying? Skadi was triggered. It brought back memories of little Thea incinerating the fairies back in the other mission, leaving nothing at all living in her wake and that burn mark on her arm. She flinched a little at the thought of it, moving her burnt arm slightly to the left. "When you say gone, do you mean she's just away or....?" the ice make wizard said, purposely allowing her voice to trail off.
"Okay guys I'm good to go" Skadi said, walking over to her group for the sake of formal posts. Caleb didn't even tell his group he was ready. Rather, he made his presence known in the most glorious way possible; he was draining his magic energy at mach speed and requipping every half a second as though he was a master at the magic already, likely causing seisures to anyone who happened to be watching. Gaius was very much having fun right at that moment, and he was very much ready for the mission. He had wandered to the job board, then to Team King and said "i'm ready" then he had gone straight over to Evanora's throne and immediately used his Crash magic on it, causing it to vaporize immediately.
Skadi is going to take Ice Magic, Telepathy and Fortune Telling
Caleb's going to take Shadow Dragon Slayer, Requip and Takeover: Machina Soul

Name: Gexln Age: Technically 23, but has the appearance of roughly an 18 year old. Gender: Male World of Origin: Aatarsilu Home worlds status: About seventy percent corrupted, I suppose. Affiliation: Technically neutral, though tipped towards the light. Keyblade Name: It's not exactly a keyblade, but his weapon is called Darkness' Sorrow. He travels between worlds via use of dark corridors. Character Appearance: All credit for this drawing goes to my awesome friend Xero, but if you want the appearance then Here Personality: Aggressive, confident, yet extremely protective of the few people he cares about. Character bio: As his Somebody lost his heart to darkness at the age of 18, Gexln has had a little bit of time to adjust to things. He has an attachment to the element of darkness and uses this in his fighting style, and because of this occasionally he can come off as a little cold. Merely three months after the nobody Gexln came into being, he was confronted by a man wielding a scythe that was hellbent on the destruction of all the worlds. It was his first battle as a Nobody, but he emerged victorious, albeit barely alive. Years went on and Gexln did what he could to slay the creatures of the dark using his newfound powers. He had a reason to keep fighting, a person to keep him from collapsing into the darkness and giving up entirely, and that reason was his best friend, Kara. She had been his Somebody's romantic interest, and those feelings still lingered though she did not know that he had survived the tragedy that seemingly took the life of Glen Senka. However, all Gexln's abilities would be put to the test yet again as the world of Aatarsilu lost much of its light. It began dying from within, the darkness slowly spreading from the core of the world to the surface. Despite this tragedy, the Nobody didn't mind the loss of the world so long as Kara was safe. Once it became evident that she, too, would lose herself to the darkness if the corruption was allowed to continue, he set off to discover a way to stop the progression and even reverse the damage it had done.
The second the cage had been opened, Glen had been much happier. Being caged inside, listening to nothing but crazy poetry and people retorting had really been grinding on his patience. In fact, you could say he had lost it. So the second he could move out of it, he did so. "Freeeeeedom" he declared, before bolting forward. "I'm free, I'm free!" he shouted gleefully, his feet moving quick to get him away from the cage. However, he tripped over due to himself running so fast, and fell forward, falling into a roll and continuing until he had rolled into the next cage over, hitting the back with a thud. "Dangit" he said quietly as the cage door slammed shut. OOC: If you guys don't get the reference (especially you, @Calxiyn and @Krowley) then you have not truly witnessed one of disney's greatest works.
Oscar Leighyard stood nearby his brother, but far enough that he couldn't easily hear what was being said when it wasn't being shouted at people. He was fighting off the urge to step in and get the guy tossing cards to back off. As much as he wanted to, he knew that he wouldn't be able to fight every battle for his younger brother. He could try his damned hardest to do so, but there would be times Samuel would have to know how hold his own. Fortunately, he seemed to be doing a pretty decent job there. Once everything was over and his brother turned bright red at the sight of a near-naked woman, Oscar wandered over to him. He carried his blade by his side, sheathed as usual. "You know, I never would've thought you'd make enemies in here faster than I would. Usually it's me picking the fights, everything alright?" he questioned. The concern in his words was pretty clear, but neither the tone of voice or look on his face conveyed it. Sympathy was one thing Oscar wasn't particularly good at. All kinds of emotions came naturally to the masked swordsman, but sympathy? It rarely made an appearance. Shane had been fairly quiet since the battle. He'd picked up the strange keyblade (if memory serves me correctly) and had decided to keep it. Nobody else had seemed interested, so what was the harm? He had to get used to using a weapon sooner or later for moments where people were immune to his powers. It sure would've helped when dealing with that annoying investigator back when he had been a captive, or hell even Ze Operator himself seemed at least a little resistant. He was still reminiscing when he was snapped out of his daydreaming by Ze Operator and Alpha arguing and causing the tension in the room to rise swiftly. His head pounding from everything going on, Shane immediately considered simply wiping his own memory and having a do-over. However, that wasn't going to help him out at all. He needed to regain his focus and concentration and quickly. While he was considerably better at controlling his powers, the last time he had been broken was the time plenty of people had lost their lives, and despite not knowing most of the people there and barely knowing the ones he did, he wasn't going to go and murder them. Tessa seemed to be attempting to calm Ze Operator, but Alpha was just as much of a problem as he was. While Tessa did the logical thing and spoke to her target, Shane began reaching out immediately mentally. He began using his powers to attempt to cause Alpha to feel at first a little more tired, exhausted even, and then planting the thought of Alpha simply taking a few steps back, taking a deep breath and forcing herself to calm down. It would come to her not in his voice, but a suggestion as though part of her wanted to do it initially.
"I am having fun, now piss off or bring someone entertaining. Like Derk, Derk is awesome. You should let Derk take control for a while. DERK ARE YOU IN THERE?" he yelled out in response to Trevor, before slowly turning to face Damian. "There are no non alcoholic cocktails here. We don't serve bitches here. Mama didn't raise no bitch. Take Trevor's made up drink, or if you want to be a real man you can drink straight from the keg. Go on, do it. Chug, chug, chug!" Gexln began chanting.
While dancing like an absolute boss, Gexln noticed out of the corner of his eye a terrible tragedy. Someone had approached the bar only to be served no alcohol. The lad clearly didn't know how things worked around here, nobody was responsible enough to serve at the bar so you had to get it yourself. At least, that's what he had done before devouring far too much alcohol. And so, the noble dragon slayer decided to right this heinous wrong. He stopped dancing and leaped over to the bar. Nobody is missing out on a drink on my watch he thought to himself. Lurching forward, Gexln gripped the massive keg that contained much of the alcohol that was usually supplied. With a heave, he ripped it out of the wall because dragon slayers are bullshit strong, then carried it over to Damian and sat it down at his feet. "Drink the bloody thing. We've got plenty. I will be the bartender for this party, because a certain someone is too busy making out with an emo to do her job" he stated, the smell of alcohol on his breath evident.
Callum took the drink. "Everyone has someone they want dead" he said quietly. No, he would not let this go. He was a stubborn jackass that didn't know how to admit he was wrong, like all males. That being said, he began chugging down the drink. Who knew, maybe if he had enough to drink he would actually be able to get drunk. Geez, that would be a first. He finished the drink stupidly fast, before slamming the glass down on the bar in front of him. "Got anything stronger?" he asked. Yana looked up quietly, momentarily stopping her crocodile tears. She did her best to ensure her voice sounded shaky, as though she were deeply traumatised and could break up at any moment. "Y-your greatness? What are you talking about? Please just let me go...please.." she said, tears quietly flowing down her cheeks. She turned to look at all of the villagers. "Please don't believe her, you mustn't. She uses the body of a young girl to take people by surprise. It's how she...it's how she killed my family, burning them all to cinders before my very eyes and using the body of my sister" she pleaded.
Of course it had been Griffin he'd been assigned to go find. That guy was super antisocial, always hiding his face and stuff, how was he meant to convince him to come along? Sure he had been instructed to tell him they didn't need Karen, but every great battle required a few meat shields. Then again, nobody said he had to come along willingly. He found Griffin rather quickly, being the ace detective that he was and all. "Karen was found, so if you were looking then don't. But do come along, we're about to go slaughter some titans and rescue some captives, should be interesting. Oh, and i'm not asking" he stated. \ Drake remained where he was, in shackles and very well contained. Truth be told, he could probably use these shackles against the guard and strangle the life out of him with them, but that would only put him, and more importantly Veera, in more danger. He glanced at his friend, hoping that if this plan failed she had a backup plan, because he sure as hell didn't. All he could do was wait and hope to god he had grown up looking even slightly like his father. As a child there had been a strong resemblance, but now? He wasn't entirely sure.
