Callum shrugged his shoulders. "I don't have to. Nobody is even paying me for this, it's just a nice little way of getting some aggression out. And damn if there isn't a lot of it. Just because you want to live doesn't mean it'll happen, sometimes life just kicks you in the balls until you can't move anymore" he explained, making very small movements as he spoke. He didn't want to get stabbed through the neck anymore than Zack probably did.

Akari was a little surprised by the king's words. Her, supervising how the gear was going? Sure she knew the fundamentals and she was proficient with the 3DMG, but she was an inventor, a scientist, certainly not a soldier. She was still trying to recover when Griffin came over and asked things. Things she didn't actually know actually. "Wouldn't know. I tinker with them, I repair them, I don't go and outright make them" the girl said, shrugging her shoulders. "And as for how to tell who is a fae and who isn't, you can generally tell by their pointy ears. Even as animals most seem to keep some resemblance to their regular appearance. Although a pretty big indication is if they do this" the half-fae inventor said, turning into her wolf form and barking once, then turning back. "If they do that, they're probably a fae, or Hunter probably snuck some kind of drug in your food when you weren't looking" the girl stated.

Drake, being chivalrous and having some actual respect for women, turned away the moment the wardrobe malfunction happened. "No, I didn't see anything I swear" he said rather quickly, his face going a little bit red. Gods, the others wouldn't let him live this down for a long, long time. He didn't even notice the other woman leaving and sneaking off due to Gabi being super sneaky and doing the one thing that would allow such a thing to happen. After a moment, Drake spoke up. "Is it safe?" he questioned, intending to cut the conversation off if he was able to maintain eye contact.

This huntswoman thing really didn't suit Skadi at all. Murdering people really wasn't in her nature, although she didn't have much of a choice due to the queen being a heinous ***** while also being real nice about it, so the girl, not knowing what to do, raised the dagger she held high into the air and screamed bloody murder as she attempted to plunge the small blade into the heart of the fairest of them all.

Hunter grabbed the sword, ignoring the interrogation for the moment. From the sounds of it, there was something actually threatening people. Who did it think it was? Coming in and stealing his thunder? Shrugging off the light hit to the back of his head from Aedion, Hunter made his way outside immediately. What he saw when he got there was a kingdom hearts hentai nightmare, Twilight Thorn with its tentacle porn. "Alright, much as this situation interests me, you're going to have to die" the male said, leaping into the fray with the sword and swinging viciously at the tentacle nearest to him.

    Character Name: Matthias Strowl
    Age: 24
    Gender: Male
    Race: Werewolf
Appearance: This is his regular form, and this is his werewolf form
Bio: At a young age, Matthias Strowl lost his parents. They were hunted down on suspicions of being werewolves. The accusations were wrong, for they were only humans, but this didn't stop humans from cornering them and impaling them on blades of silver. This left a young Zach Strowl to grow up alongside his brother, Matthias. Matthias was a couple of years older than Zach, and so the role of guardian fell to him. Matthias was arrogant and had a very short temper though, and while he protected Zach for several years after the death of their parents, he made plans to avenge their parents and kill the werewolf that had been killing people and framing his parents.

Matthias went missing for about a week, and Zach had to fend for himself, running the farm on his own. When Zach's older brother returned, he brought news of the werewolf's death. Matthias had indeed slain the werewolf, but he hadn't gotten away unscathed. Unknown to Zach, Matthias had been bitten and had the curse of the werewolf passed onto him. Things went on as usual for the next few days, and then the night of the full moon arrived. Matthias went crazy, killing many of the animals they had on the farm before he turned to Zach. The rabid werewolf struck his brother down, creating a small scar on the right side of his face, before biting his shoulder and passing the curse onto him. Matthias then left and ran away, never seen again.

He fled as fast as his feet would take him, his animal-like instincts pushing him further and further, until eventually he stumbled upon a little home in the woods. The home was occupied, but after the werewolf had gone in there it no longer was. Matthias took up residency there, the house feeling a little too comfortable to simply leave behind. He began hunting animals and selling their skins, keeping the meat for himself to consume. It quelled the werewolf's hunger to an extent, but come full moon nothing stopped the transformation from man into beast, from overprotective brother to murderous monster.
Occupation: Technically unemployed, but often hunts animals and sells the skins
Weapons: In werewolf form uses his claws and teeth, but when not in wolf form he fights unarmed or with the dagger he carries.
    Secondary Weapon: N/A
    Powers (For Mages Only): N/A
    Other: Is Zach's brother

"Why would she want to be protected by you? I'm training her, we're making her strong, she will be the bestest mage ever. Aaaand if you try to hurt her, you're going to burn, but I think I'll do that anyway, so have fun" the girl said, watching the fireball as it flew to her. She stepped forward and held out her arms as though she was going to give it a big hug. It looked that way because that's exactly what she did, embracing its warmth and power as the spell hit her. She giggled slightly, the spell having no more effect than if someone had simply punched her. Having near-immunity to fire came in handy sometimes and enabled her to do completely stupid things like this.

Once it was done, Yana held her hands before her. The little orb in her gauntlet began floating around in a circle, having a chance to deflect physical projectiles as she began casting an incantation. After about five seconds, she had a huge, black fireball floating in front of her. "Froooosty the snowmaaaan, gonna be a puddle" the witch said in a sing-song tone of voice, as the fireball flew up into the sky and exploded, sending quite a lot of smaller fireballs shooting around the area within the cave. Yana turned around and stood hunched over Annabelle, knowing the sickness would only get worse but protecting her completely from the fire attack with her own body, like a goddamn boss.

Five minutes passed and a very irritated-looking Callum Crux walked out of the tavern, leaving a slew of bodies in his wake as he walked out and sheathed both blades, both covered in blood. He was a gruesome sight, with quite a few cuts over his body and absolutely drenched in the blood of his enemies, but he was still alive. Unfortunately. "Damn, still kicking. Ah well, maybe if I find the doppler he'll be able to do the job...if he doesn't run away like a scared little dog with its tail between its legs again, anyway" he stated.

Tracking the scent of the alcohol-infused doppler, Callum found his way to a river and took a step into it. The water was remarkably cold, as though attempting to enter it would be difficult to accomplish without getting sick. Kind of like Callum's heart, really. However, he did enter it, and as he stood there waist-deep in the water, he could see the doppler hunched over as though he were exhausted. "Are you going to accept your fate? It's nothing personal, I hate everyone, this just happens to be my job. So how about making this easy on me?" he questioned, calling out across the river.

"Well, it's a good thing you're not dying anymore, but that arm doesn't look so great. I was trying to find out information about my friend Colton, he went missing a while ago and I've been worried about him. If I am a figment of your imagination, or if you're mine, then that will make this whole thing even more confusing though" Christie responded.

Shane shrugged his shoulders. "The screaming stopped, so one way or another the situation's resolved. I don't know anyone, so running off into danger headfirst is probably a really bad idea. If you want to try, go ahead, but I don't think I can help. If it's all the same to you, I'm going to lay down for a bit and try to actually think" the telepath stated. He walked past Axel and sat down on his bed. Everything going on...was it real? Or was this some test? Maybe someone else was using their own telepathy on Shane, but he couldn't remember being attacked by another telepath...then again, he probably wouldn't remember if he had, due to memory manipulation and all. Ugh, his head hurt.

Sven scratched his head a little as he tried to remember, well, anything about how to cook. Damnit, not a single recipe came to mind. "Unless we can find ourselves a cook, I think we'll have to improvise. I told you, I don't think I could sleep, so taking the bed's fine. Your comfort is our priority right now, and I could help with that if I could find some food...this look good?" he questioned, holding up what appeared to be some kind of canned meat. "No, can't get the damned thing open anyway" the lustor stated, putting it back. He sat down in one of the chairs and slumped his shoulders. "Hey, maybe we'll get lucky and the humans will kill each other off" he said with a slight laugh.

Lucas was dumbfounded by Isabella's actions. They'd been making progress and then she had knocked the girl out. Well, at least it quietened Analise. He stood up. "Isabella, you can't go around knocking everyone out just because they won't be your subject. Well, technically you can, but it wouldn't be a very smart idea. Sometimes it's best to just talk to them and figure out the way their mind works, then it makes it much easier to get what you want. You have to be somewhat smart to be where you are at career-wise, you should try putting that to use" the investigator advised.

He began walking past Teliana and the newcomer who holy **** MoK I'm sorry I keep forgetting your characters names, and then stopped momentarily. "I suggest being a little more careful" Lucas said, having noticed Ana's movements and wincing from the dagger. "And you" Lucas said, pointing a finger at the other...guy...who **** I am bad, "I'm assigning you the job of watching Isabella while I'm gone. The self-proclaimed professor of fun, one that drugged the other girl. Make sure she doesn't burn the place down. Coffee be damned, I'm going to need some alcohol if I'm going to survive this one" he huffed, walking off and towards the staircase.

Well damn, that was the last time Hunter tried to help anyone. He couldn't pretend that part of the reason he'd pushed the little kids into there was to ensure that he wasn't proven wrong, but there was an actual point behind it. He sighed and shook his head as Teliana stood in his way. "If this mission is going to work out, you're going to have to trust me. Professional bounty hunter, in case you didn't know, so this kinda stuff is right up my alley. If I was the villain we're after, I'd want to finish the job. What better way to do that than to strike the survivor while he's guilt ridden? And how to get him even more guilt ridden? Nab his kids, hold them hostage, torture them in front of him or something" Hunter stated, walking over towards the closet door and picking up his fallen sword.

"Closets are confined and sturdy, perfect for hiding things or people in. On top of that, it's in the room that we'll all be in and the door looks like it'll muffle out a fair bit of the sound. I was keeping the kids from hearing or seeing anything, and keeping them safe. So thanks for screwing up the plan already you chivalrous prick!" Hunter said, raising his voice and yelling straight at the door Aedion had gone through. He turned and walked over towards the guard. "Alright, since some genius decided to put your kids in danger, how about we keep this quick so I can go kick his ass a little?" the man asked rhetorically, trying to grab the guard's attention.

Making her way further into the cave, Yana came to a stop when she saw two people. One she recognized as Teliana, another person in the mage community, and the other was some random dude. He looked really cold and tired, and altogether boring. And was that a frozen stick he was holding? Oh well, business was business. "MINION! I FOUND SOMETHING TO BURN! COME WATCH!" she said, bellowing behind her regardless of how close or far Annabelle happened to be. She then turned and cackled a little. "How ya doin' witchey bitch? It's been aaaages since we saw each other. How's the pile of ash that used to be your house? And who is Frosty?" the young witch asked, a giggle on the tip of her tongue as she engaged in casual conversation. As she spoke, however, she held out a hand and caused a fireball to materialize in it, before slowly turning darker and darker until it was a pure black colour.
"I trust my medallion over your lies. I don't know how you're doing that with the dagger, but this medallion is one of my greatest tools. It vibrates only in the presence of monsters, vibrating faster the closer I am to said monster. It's been going crazy since I stepped near you, so you can drop the act. Nobody's buying it" Callum said. He pulled back the silver sword and thrust it forward, attempting to impale Zack on the end of the blade. However, just before the sword could connect it was knocked out of the way by one of the drunkards that happened to be in the room.

"He ain't a doppla. Look at 'im, he's holdin' a silver dagger. Doppler's can't do that can they? Yer medallion's broke"

Callum sighed. People sucked. "For the love of god, just let me do my damn job" he retorted. The man stood still in front of Zack, unflinching and not showing any signs of backing down at all. "I don't get paid nearly enough for this" Callum stated, unsheathing the steel sword and swiftly decapitating the man before him. The body fell to the floor with a thump, followed by several alarmed cries.

    "He killed him!"
"Witcher or not, he's a murderer!"
    "Maybe he's the monster!"
"Oh my god you're right, lets bring him in to a real witcher and get paid!"
"Puck yeah, great idea eh? Sorry I didn't bring it up sooner, I had to get through my maple syrup covered waffles"

The Canadian got no further before he was silenced before anyone knew what he was going on aboot by the sword running him through too. More angry cries followed, before just about every person in the bar, including a now pissed off bartender, began moving towards Callum, tension rising and bloodlust becoming evident in their actions and movements. Another sigh from Callum emerged. "Well, maybe this lot will be able to finally kill me" he said quietly. Then again, most of them were drunk and he was a Witcher, so maybe they wouldn't.

With Hunter as unsure of what to do as his RPer was since his group was left out in the dark, the man had to do exactly what he was amazing at; everything. Wait, you're telling me he can't do everything? Fine, he improvised then. That's practically the same thing. SO HE IMPROVISED. "Not bad, staying on the horse like that, but you're gonna have to get off of it so we can actually go and interrogate" Hunter informed. He then left, embarking on what was surely the furthest he had ever travelled by foot. It was a whole five minutes walk before he found the guards' barracks. "Oh woe is me, my wife went away and went to a battle, but she never returned. If only some guy could tell me what happened, some survivor of the attack or something" he said, to be met only with silence and awkward stares. Apparently the guard wasn't there. "Don't question me. I'm a god, I do what I want and I get worshipped for it. Just go with it" Stefano said, leaving the barracks.

He had to find the guard, and he wasn't there. That left only three options: the guy was at the pub being drunk, he was off sleeping with someone, or Aedion was right. He chuckled a little at the thought of the last one. Aedion couldn't be right, that required having intelligence to be right with. "To the pub!" Hunter announced, walking off in the direction of the pub. He arrived there in about ten minutes, and after taking one look inside he had come to two conclusions; the guy wasn't there as there seemed to be no guards, and their range of alcohol was complete crap. They had like, one brand of beer and some cider. And so he continued onwards. So, back to the other two options. He was clearly sleeping with someone.

Over the next hour, Hunter checked at least nine houses. Some of them he knocked at the door, others he noticed the door was unlocked and invited himself in. By the end of it, the man had about five red handprints on his cheeks from all the women getting changed he had stumbled upon. But hey, it was worth it. He hadn't seen the guy they were looking for (thankfully, that would've been awkward), but he did get to see quite a few naked women, and that was okay.

He sighed as he got to the last house. Either the guard was here and Aedion was right (Hunter chuckled once more at the mere thought of it), or he was out of town. Hunter went to knock on the door, but quickly realized that it was already slightly open, as though someone were too lost in thought when they got home. Sure enough, there he was, the guard. How did Hunter know he was the right guard? He didn't. I told you, he was improvising, but by pure chance yes it was indeed the right guy. He was hovering over a photograph of a woman, and there was a medal at the bottom of it. She was clearly a victim of war, likely the attack. And that meant he had no family!

Turning around, Hunter jabbed a finger at Aedion. "HA! His family died! He has none! You were wrong!" he exclaimed, sensitive as always before two children walked out of a hall to see what was going on. Quickly, he grabbed the children. "Not now children, uncle Hunter needs to be right" he said quickly, before leading the children to a closet and locking them inside, putting his sword against it and digging into the ground so that it would be exceptionally difficult to get the door open. He then turned and walked over to the guard as a gleeful grin appeared on his face. "Boy, do we have some questions for you" he stated, closing the distance between himself and his victim.

He wasn't upset or stressed out or anything either and his hormones seemed to be in check, at least as in check as they could be for a teenager, so it didn't quite add up. What had happened? He found his answer probing Alexis' mind a little, enough that he could tell what she'd used. "Nice trick" he said simply, before turning and leaving to go up the stairs. Drake was relieved when the man promised to deliver the report. He felt a little bad for lying, but he had found out what he needed and he wasn't about to risk anyone being caught out there. However, something about the woman towards the back was a little off. The way she'd kept her eyes glued to specifically Flame that entire time made him uneasy, as though she knew something. "Is there something I can help you with, miss?" he questioned. He may have been risking exposure, but if this woman knew something that could prove useful, it would make the report even better and they could certainly return calling it a success...well, partially.

Gulping down the rest of the food hastily, Akari stood up and began walking towards the stairs. Before she got there though, she stopped and turned to face the back of the hall. Taking a deep breath, she cupped her hands to her mouth and bellowed "THANKS ADELINA, THE FOOD WAS AWESOME" before going downstairs. She made a quick stop by her house where she grabbed the 3DMG sword she had, and then made her way to the training ground. Not surprisingly, there were plenty of people sparring and practicing. Always fighting. Men. All the damn same. "Alright, I'm here to watch my genius in action" she said, paying very close attention to the equipment she'd given the king.

At the mere mention of a challenge, Hunter began paying a bit more attention to Veera. He'd been challenged to something, and a challenge was something he almost never backed down from. "Really now? Alright, I'll bite. What's the competition?" he asked. Winner picks the prize. It had a certain appeal for it, being able to ask for anything at all. He knew there was a reason he'd began speaking to her, this one was certainly interesting.

Problem. Tobias really, really wanted to see who his captors were and why they had captured them, perhaps even get into a fight or two if he felt like it, but he couldn't. Thomas, whoever the hell that was, wouldn't do that. He'd probably run away with his tail between his legs. Was it worth abandoning the facade? He looked slowly at Kara, and then swallowed his urge for bloodlust. She wasn't the worst looking female in the world, maybe he could make something work. "We don't know the way out though. I want to escape, but how can we without knowing the way out? M-maybe we should explore a little" he suggested, having to bite his tongue on almost every syllable.

What a curious reaction the drunkard had. Callum had merely cut off his drinking and the man had frozen solid. Then again, it wasn't that unusual due to his nature of being a Witcher. In any case, he wouldn't be drinking anymore, Calllum was sure of it, and thus he had avoided social interaction. Huzzah. He turned away and took a step away before he felt a familiar vibration on his chest. The medallion he and most other Witchers wore was vibrating, the one that vibrated only in the presence of monsters. So, either one of the other drunks was a monster or...

Spinning around to face Zack, he stared at him without a word for a moment. "You know, there's a hell of a lot of things I hate about the world. Poverty, fires, abusive fathers, but you know there is one thing that I have to say I hate the most" the Witcher said as he gripped the bottom of the table Zack was seated at. "It's been a while since I've gotten to slay a Doppler, and I relish every minute of it" the male said as he heaved and flipped the table up and drew his silver longsword as the table fell backwards towards Zack.

Yana frowned a little. "That old, ratty thing? That's no fun. But I suppose if it'll stop your whining for a few minutes, I probably should" the witch said, before looking the golem up and down. "See, if you could do that the first time we wouldn't be having to do this or get medicine for your sickness" she stated. Yana then skipped away a littleways to a tree with a stuffed rabbit sitting in the fork of it. It was a little high up, but Yana had been an expert at climbing things since she was like, 3, and so after about two minutes she had obtained the bunny and then she tossed it towards Annabelle. "Theeeere you go, now hurry up, the sooner we get medicine the sooner you'll be all better and then we can keep practicing!" the spellslinger exclaimed as she turned and raced into the deep, dark cave, giggling and cackling every so often as she imagined what was to come.

Lucas ignored the girl's protests as she struggled to get free. She was panicking pretty badly, mentally unstable and potentially a danger should he release her. She knew the conditions of her release, all she had to do was stop struggling and stop attacking and he'd let go, it was as simple as that. He maintained this stance even as Ana jabbed him in the shoulder, flinching ever so slightly but still maintaining his grip on the girl. "No" was his response to the girl demanding the captive's release. He had his gun if things went further, but he would only use it if it became necessary, which at the moment it wasn't. He couldn't release her, however. Analise was unstable, dangerous, threatening death, she was-

"Just get away! I can't handle this! Leave! I will kill you all!"

She was just like he'd been the night of his parents' death. He remembered the way he'd been. Even at nine years of age, at first he had been stoic, unfeeling, and by the end of the night he had arrived at that stage and remained there, but there was a few hours while he was being questioned by the police that the pressure had gotten to him and all his efforts to keep calm and be mature had failed him. He'd been a screaming crying mess, as though he were no older than three years of age or a newborn baby, a child that had lost his parents too soon. It was embarrassing for him even thinking about when he'd been like that, but he could relate...sort of. He'd never had the anxiety that the girl seemed to have or the emotional issues, but he had been in the same state, and maybe that was enough.

He released the girl and allowed her to fall gently to the ground. Restraining her, while it might keep others safe, could make the girl even more unstable. If she proved to cause any more trouble, he could subdue her if he needed to, but she would get a single chance. "I'm trying to help the situation, now if you'd kindly step back it would be much appreciated. If you don't listen to my orders, then I may very well give Miss Te- Isabella an early christmas present in the form of another lab rat" Lucas stated, pointing a finger straight at Teliana. He then knelt down slowly until he was at eye level with the sobbing, hysterical girl. "My name is Lucas Beaumont. I work for the government usually, but here I'm just as clueless as everyone else. I promise you I will not harm you, okay? Even if it doesn't feel it, you are safe here. If you wish to go to your room, you're welcome to; Isabella won't do any of her experiments on you" he said, shooting a quick glare towards the mentioned scientist as if to convey a message, "and I will leave. It is entirely your choice. If I might ask, though, what is your name?" the investigator asked, trying to keep his voice as gentle and calm as possible.

"If the Warden was here with us, I'm sure we would've seen him by now. But if he is here, I'll keep him back. Powers or no powers, I won't let him harm a hair on you, you have my word. You can sleep on the bed while I keep watch, if it makes you feel any better. I don't think I could sleep with all these humans around anyway" Sven said reassuringly. He, too, had heard the scream, but he didn't care if a human was in terror. If anything, he'd probably go to watch. For the moment, though, he would make sure Cierra was alright. Though she saw herself as his slave or at least servant, Sven didn't look at her in the same way. To him, she was a remarkably obedient friend. A very good friend, one of few people he trusted. Never a slave.
