Cressa was trudging across the deep white flurry of snow. She lost her balance and landed on the ground "Things like this always happen to me." she said in a seemingly bored tone. "Yup should have taken ballet or gymnastics.." Cressa tried to lift herself up.

Cressa noticed she was still kneeling on the cold floor. She blushed and got up, wobbling slightly. "I was never good at keeping my balance. Perhaps I should have taken gymnastics or ballet." she thought of herself in a tutu doing all those graceful moves she knew she couldn't do in her whole existence. Cressa giggled to herself.

No matter how many times Cressa tried to desert the thought of her parents bribing her to become a scientist the thought just came back, over and over like a broken record which had yet to be fixed.Don't they think I'm old enough to make decisions for myself? Will they ever respect the way I want to live my life? Thoughts like this always found a way into her mind.

Cressa shuddered then knelt down. Something had caught here eye, something in the snow. Cressa brushed the snow away. There was a coin under the great white mass of snow. Now when did my eyesight get so sharp? Oh well, it's my lucky coin she thought as she put the coin in her pocket.

It was almost Christmas and that meant 2 weeks of torture with her parents. Will they ever stop nagging me about my future? I don't want to be a scientist... I want to sing and act...
