The reason for those complaints is because there are quite a few people who are convinced that RoosterTeeth hijacked the show before Monty's dead body was even cold. Completely unfounded of course, but it wasn't helped when former lead animator released an open letter that accused RT of doing just that. Said open letter has many contradictions of what we actually know so it really should have been taken with a grain of salt, but some people rolled with it anyway despite glaring evidence that it was mostly unfounded and the man was clearly emotionally compromised.
