copy-pasta from my Bookface I highly recommend "The Witch." Don't go in expecting a typical horror film; you won't get that (and lots of people keep complaining about that.) Instead, it's a fantastic period piece that's more unsettling than anything and uses cinematography and score and strong acting for some truly disturbing scenes.
