Something similar happened to me with Legend of Korra in terms of trying it multiple times and it not sitting right with me / hooking me in. It was only after the time I went to Florida and the people I was staying with at the time gave me a ton of **** for it. Then again my reasoning was a bit strange. I hated how it seemed so modern and it almost seem to take away from the charm of the original show.

Of course I eventually decided to just marathon the first season and then see if I want to continue, unfortunately (for my schoolwork at the time) I ended up marathoning the entire series. It was worth it.

Same thing happened with One Piece. It's weird being so highly opinionated (that's just how I am) and then having to tell myself that it's okay to change my mind. Then I binge watch...again and again.

Yeah but the issue isn't simple at all. Unfortunately and I'm not saying it's okay, but if it's either "upset the minority or upset the majority", guess which one they are going to pick. It doesn't make it right, and in a perfect world it shouldn't be like that. However, discrimination isn't going anywhere (regrettably).

This may sound weird coming from me (since many of you probably don't think I get the bad end of discrimination), but having a seizure disorder/brain damage, I get that kinda treatment all the time from people I'm not close to.

In fact a popular youtuber (who I won't mention by name because he doesn't deserve the exposure) once told me on video to get into a second car accident so I can undo the damage that was done and "knock stuff back into place". That may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but that happening (among other things) probably not even a month after my accident, it threw me down a series a hopelessly ****** choices and intense depression (which was around the time I got banned from khv, eyyy)

Perhaps I'm just a little more hardened, or am just used to treatment that I shouldn't be. It's just I don't see discrimination ever fully going away.

It really depends on your taste, but personally I find that Diablo 3 (specifically with the reaper of souls expansion) is one of the best ways to play Diablo to date. Purists will of course disagree in some cases, but you will find that with all forms of entertainment. There are countless ways for you to play. If you like gaming on PC (I also think its available for mac) then you can try the first Act of the game for free. Just download the battle.net client and you should be able to download the trial from there. If not and you have either an Xbox One or a PS4, then I recommend either of those versions (it should be called: Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition). I say this because the dodge roll mechanic added to the thumbsticks is shockingly satisfying. The best thing about the game is that it literally never ends. You play through the Acts which are you "story" mode on whichever character you choose (there are six, all of which are viable in their owns ways), and after you are finished with that you can play through some end game stuff until you get bored. The end game content is really where it shines as the replay value is HUGE as long as you actually enjoy the game. Hilariously enough, despite previously playing and beating all of it on the PC, I decided to do it all again on PS4 and I don't regret a single moment.

My favorite part about it is how the items interact with the abilities. Like early in the game when you beat the first Act. if you are at a certain level (15-20 I think) you get a helmet drop that has a special effect that is so good and versatile that I used it for hundreds of levels (the soft cap is 80, but there is no real level cap).

    tl;dr

In diablo there are things called gems
    Gems have special effects
Gems can be put into your equipment to give those items the gem's effect
The helmet item I mentioned earlier is called Leoric's Crown
Leoric's Crown multiplies a gems effect by 75-100% (bonus)
Using that helmet you can power level, have almost no ability cooldowns (meaning they are very short), or farm a ton of gold. That is just to name a few things you can do with just THAT item. There are even more than that.

Sorry for gushing about that game. Its so effing good.

Tbh there is nothing in me that wants to play the demo either, but that is for an entirely different reasons. Demos are cool and all but I wish certain game devs would just hype something (to the appropriate degree) and then just release the game and let it play out. I feel like the "oh hey our game is coming out soon, hope you enjoy it" method works better than flooding us with demos among other things.

Not to be rude (and by this I mean this isn't really directed to you personally, more so the collective group of people as a whole) but it really depends on how much of a stick you have shoved up your arse. I've found games to be really worth playing that were only what I would rate a 7-8 out of 10. Not everything has to be the best game ever. Sometimes I find it fun to just sit down with a new game and just see where it goes. It really depends on how hard you are to please, and what you budget actually is. If you just wanna try it out and can afford, I say go for it. Its about the experience, at least for me.

DoC will forever be one of those games that wasn't great, but for whatever reason it was my jam.

Although I am weird. Sometimes games will come out that everyone hates or finds to be just pure garbage, then I clock 60-100 hours on it and have a good time.

Biggest example of that is the game Too Human. I could write a 40 page essay about what that game did wrong, but sweet lord did I have fun while playing it.

Menu combat trash? Just like Persona then? You're free to think/feel as you wish, it's just you might enjoy more games if you gave them more of a fair shot.

I have a hard time believing you gave every previous FF game a fair shot to come up with that opinion lol.
