BvS was good and I need to finish rewatching the last season of smallville as I tried binging it earlier this year and didn't have what it takes to finish that. As for me walking on eggshells, talking about it, then speaking anyway. Ever since I came back to khv I had to do my best to not be too overly opinionated or say anything that'll piss anyone off because I came back on a short leash, and I struggle with wanting to jump into the conversation, but I know it'll bite me in the ass. I was more so conveying my inner thoughts into text. Historically me opening my mouth lead to people either loving or hating what came out of it, which is rather annoying to deal with due to backlash. Doesn't help that I wear my heart on my sleeve, but still.

Maybe this is my white man ignorance, or maybe I just shouldn't talk about this ever (probably that one) but I DO NOT understand the constant theme of "overly sexualizing women will make men treat them more like an object". First of all they are a bunch of pixels. If someone's artistic vision is to make a game with huge boobs all over the place, go for it. I say this because I live in a world where every woman that's close to me gets an advantage in terms of respect, overall treatment, etc. I don't mind this at all actually. Treating the women in my family with respect is something I strive for, same with my girlfriend. Same with my friends back when I was in high school / the friends I made on this site. Most of them girls, and most of them I did whatever I could to help them. Not because they couldn't help themselves, but because I wanted to. Hopefully some of you remember that. All of this while I play League of Legends which is filled to the brim with "ohey look more boobs". I'm rather insulted that people think "men" are so weak minded that we can be molded in such a way without a second thought. The reason I get pissed off about this sort of stuff is this is going to be brought up until the end of time, all the while the people with certain "agendas" are going to focus more so on the negative aspects that support their claims, and effing ignore the people who bend over backwards for people (regardless of gender because it doesn't effing matter) everyday. Of course majority of what I am talking about is extreme cases. I cannot speak for everyone in a certain group because no matter what, everyone's beliefs will vary to some degree. I love disclaimers. And walking on egg shells. And being PC. My apologies, khv, and my apologies to anyone I offended. I have nothing against any of you personally. Believe whatever you wish. I should have learned that sharing certain opinions of mine is a sure fire way to start trouble.
The times I have been on I gave myself a pep talk about how I'm not going to swear like a sailor for the next 1-2 hours.

I was saying that it's a bit weird that people ignore the overly violent themes in video games like that's any less damaging than the way a character's butt looks. I also never said violent video games lead to violent behavior. It's just that people seem to be very selective with the "issues" that are in video games.
*grabs popcorn* Okay, not to be an old school Luxord super dbag or anything....BUTT (I've dropped my puns and I cannot get up)... I don't see the actual problem with this. Now I understand that some people have a problem with women being "overly sexualized" in video games, but this kind of thing brings up what I like to call the "Mona Lisa" argument (idk if I'm the first one to call it that). If video games are considered to be an art form, what gives anyone the right to make a developer change something just because they don't like/agree with it. It's like saying "nah man I don't like the way Mona Lisa looks, it's wayyyyy too *fill in the blank*." When you look at it from that angle, this is all kind of ridiculous. I also don't understand how people will go up in arms of an effing butt crack, but not giving a flying phuck about the merciless slaughter that is common place in a ton of video games. Think of fighting games, I have heard more complaints about sexual themes than I have heard about the depiction of the "overkill death scenes". "Oh that person got their spine ripped out, head torn off, or was literally punched into space?" Fine by me as long as they don't show too much Ashe or tits. *bows out*

The only thing that bothers me is you CAN be a huge fan of "x" to the point where that is a defining characteristic of who you are, all the while not being overly cynical. I feel like a lot of this grief is self-inflicted for the most part.
It makes me laugh because after almost every superhero movie comes out, people (of varying numbers/group sizes) come out and complain about this or that. "Its not deep enough, its not accurate to the comics 11000000%, its too much mindless action, etc" and I am just sitting here laughing because those people are almost never going to be satisfied. I'm seeing the movie tomorrow and am looking forward to it, all the while not going in with any positive or negative expectations. Its foolish to go into a movie and be like "THIS IS GOING TO BE THE ONE", at least in my opinion. The "one" for me, was a movie that I didn't expect to be that great. I knew it would be cool but it blew what little expectations I had out of the water. This is why I worry for games that are hyped to hell and back. Think Fallout 4, people were BEGGING for that game, and it came out and when it wasn't perfect, people destroyed it. Well I enjoyed it, so I am not against the idea of that happening with Batman vs Superman. Expectations can ruin a lot of things, and I see no point in doing that to myself.

I feel like the world would be better off without these superhero movie trailers because people either enjoy them, or they decide that the movie is "trash" because of "x, y, and z". I understand that people are entitled to their own opinions, and can be very passionate. However, I feel like due to that "passion" stuff gets overly criticized up the wazoo. Criticism is encouraged, just be fair about it.
The resolution having to be "revealed" is worrying, unless they are going to use that as an excuse to justify the bad framerate. Even then, that kinda sucks.
I mean, yeah, a shit ton of people bought wii's so in terms of sales that is a plus in the "gimmicky" category, however everyone that I knew (in person at least) that had a wii, either never used it or just used it as a Smash machine. As for the 3D function of the 3DS, I as well as many people I know never turn on the 3D. So gimmicky stuff has "worked" for them in the past, but I fail to see why this is at all a priority. I understand that new tech is a great addition to the world of video games, however I feel like a line should be drawn somewhere. Trying to be different for the sake of being different can get old extremely fast. Reinventing the controller is something that flat out doesn't need to happen. If they wanted to make a controller and improve it (without raising the price) then go for it (think the elite xbox controller, among other more "expensive" controllers that are outright fantastic). I feel like these are the kinds of "risks" that aren't needed. Give us a gaming machine that can play things at a respectable resolution and framerate, then work on your games. I feel like that is something a lot of people want from Nintendo. If that game plan is too "PC like" for people, then just make a decent console with good hardware (console and controller) that feels good with the games that are on the system. However due to Nintendo's track record with recent consoles (just either being a gimmick fest, or just not interesting to me) they are going to have to make some LOGICAL changes if they want to move units/games, for home consoles at least.
Well I mean its by no means perfect, but I also find it important to keep in mind that a lot of "comic people" can be very.....picky. Don't get me wrong, I love this kind of stuff, however I can also enjoy stuff that is a little (or a lot) "different".
And yet I still watched all of Smallville. Fk me
