    Name: Sebastian Abject
    Gender: Male
    Age: 18
    Appearance: Here
    Personality:
Extremely loyal, however he views himself as an outcast to all things. He will fight to the very end if needs be and never give up, but he is hesitant to openly engage in fighting unless he or someone else he knows is in danger. He tries his best not to involve others in his "adventures", often leaving on his own as quietly as he can.

Goals/Dreams: To feel accepted, and to be normal
Weakness: While he is confident in his ability to fight, he has an exceptional dislike for fighting and often takes a beating before giving it out. Doesn't like large crowds. Despite having powerful wings, he hasn't had much practice using them and thus he does not know how to fly using them.
    Fears:
Sebastian fears that if he were to become involved with the world as it currently is, he would be hunted until he eventually died. He is frightened of opening up to people, fearing that they will see him as the monster that he views himself as.

Strengths: Extremely quick, and has amazing hearing. He can see extremely well in the dark, though he doesn't have perfect vision in it. Light itself doesn't phase him, although if he isn't expecting it it can often leave him temporarily blinded.
    Blood Type: O+
    Star Sign: Leo
Hobbies: Working his job, reading, and watching people from afar. Has a particular fondness of rooftops.
Career: Works in a haunted house.
    Bio:
Sebastian has always been a little strange. When he was born, his parents tried to have him killed. Who would want a baby that wasn't even completely human? Doctors weren't exactly sure what had happened, really. Had bat DNA mixed in somehow? Had it been just a freak of nature? There was really no way of knowing. All they knew was that he existed. And one doctor, fortunately, took pity on him. She took him in and raised him as a regular human baby.

But he wasn't a human baby, and he knew it. He never socialized with anyone else, never went to school, it was as though he barely even existed. When he got older, the doctor passed away to a medical condition and Sebastian found himself completely and utterly alone. Depression took hold, and he stopped even living in the home he'd been raised in. There was precious little point for a creature like him trying to pretend he was even anything close to normal.

Eventually, he found a job at a haunted house. The owner there loved his enthusiasm, giving him bonus points for attending the interview in costume, and hired him immediately. It wasn't much money, but it was enough to pay for solely food and drink. Of course he didn't actually buy things from people, how could he? He'd simply wait until they weren't watching, then swoop in and take what he needed and leave the money on the counter, before finding a nearby rooftop and just watching. It had to be his favourite hobby, really. Sitting there, watching the human race going about their business. He wondered what it'd be like to be out there with them, to be normal, and it only made the pain he felt inside that much greater.

I'm starting to feel like I'm a regular thing here and that makes me feel pretty crappy, but at the same time it helps me vent so that's good I suppose. Thanks you guys. Anyway, onto what this thread was made for.

I have a serious addiction to videogames. Surprised? Didn't think so given this is a website centred around a videogame series. The problem I have is I feel compelled to buy something videogame related whenever I have money and am around any stores, and this is a problem for me. Honestly, I can almost afford it given my income if I budget my food properly, so I'm not going to die or struggle with living but...

There's something I need to save up for. I can't even tell you how important it is, I'm not entirely sure of the words that would describe it's importance to me. If anyone wants to ask me what it is out of curiousity, send me a PM and I'm happy to discuss it, but lets just say it's fairly expensive. As in, few thousand dollars expensive. My videogame addiction is slowing things to the point where IF I save any money at all from the income (which doesn't happen so much) it is miniscule and if I kept going at this rate, I won't actually have the thing for a few years, and I need it ASAP.

I guess what I'm asking is this: How do I break an addiction to videogames I've had since I was 8 years old? I'm 22 right now.

Emma looked at the two. UknownSoldier she could understand being a little bit of a mouthful in desperate situations, but was gungirl really that hard to pronounce? Well, whatever she wanted. OutbackHeroine was probably a little difficult to understand too, and while part of her was hesitant to giving out her real life name...could she afford to not do it at this point? "My name's Emma Herondale. I agree with the idea of levelling up, i think it should be a priority. Can you show me where the camp is and what is in it, Bryce?" she asked. Perhaps it was a bad idea to ask him directly when he probably hated her, but the sooner they overcame their differences the better. Maybe she could beat it into him if he didn't listen.

Before him stood the mighty Alexander the great. Samuel had chosen him because the man had been a leader and a powerful warrior, an inspiration to everyone; the kind of man Samuel aspired to be. And now he had to face him. Nodding to Sylar as he acknowledged his comrade having his back, Samuel turned to face Alexander the great. Readying his sword, he prepared to do battle with the legend he had summoned.

The summoner was the first to strike, as usual. He dashed forward and swung with the blade, but Alexander had been prepared for that. The summoned creature blocked the attack with his shield, and Samuel swung out once more. Yet once again, the warrior's attack was blocked with the shield. Hopping back to try another approach, the swordsman realized he'd made a mistake right there and then. Alexander had a huge spear, and while using it at an exceptionally close range would be awkward for him, using it at the range Samuel was at was a perfect situation for him.

As if to reinforced Samuel's realization of the mistake, Alexander swung his spear around in a circle rather quickly, hitting Samuel's legs and sweeping him off of his feet. Falling backwards, things weren't looking so great for the white haired swordsman. While he was knocked off of his feet, his opponent leaped up and towards him, holding the spear in the air poised to impale him. Eyes widening, Samuel rolled to the side and then rolled backwards, getting up before stabbing forward with a quick thrust of his katana. Alexander the great stepped out of the way but only barely, the blade piercing his armour slightly and making a thin cut along the side of his torso.

Alexander wasn't beaten that easily though, not by a long shot. Spinning around, he kicked the warrior away from him, before raising his hand into the sky. His palm began to glow yellow before bolts of lightning crashed into the ground and electrified the area. Samuel was zapped by the electricity as it made its way up his body, frying him from within and causing searing pain throughout his entire body. While he was distracted Alexander dashed towards him, spear raised as he made his move to end the summoner who was not worthy of his services.

Recovering rather quickly, Samuel's mind began working quickly. Immediately he had an idea. As Alexander neared him and rushed forward, Samuel quickly hopped to the side and out of the way, before slashing with his sword across the back, his high attack power (in comparison to a level 1 summon's) strong enough to penetrate the armour and do some serious damage. Then, he leaped up and put his foot on the soldier's back, before leaping up and into the air. Doing a somersault, he held out his hand and in it appeared the blade that had been in his inventory, sitting there ready for when he'd need it. He was now dual wielding, and as he came down back onto Alexander he thrust both blades through the warrior's shoulders, defeating him instantly and reducing his hp to 1.

Still holding the blades, Samuel looked at his hp. It'd been close, in fact he'd been at only 2 hp after the last attack, but he had done it. He'd beaten his summon. A notification letting him know that the Summoner's Ring had appeared in his inventory was shown, before he dismissed it and equipped the ring. He cast a quick restore spell on Alexander, before turning to look at <Seth's Angel> and <Hades>. "Well, looks like this fighting just got a little easier" he said with a slight grin.

Emma bit her lip as the offer to travel with Bryce and Tessa was presented to her. Looking around the area, she couldn't see the person who had made the guild anymore, nor could she see Kat. Both of them kind of annoyed her. She'd wanted to actually be able to talk to Kat more, she hadn't even sent her a friend request. She'd almost actually made a friend, and now she may have lost the chance forever. Looking back to Tessa, she nodded. "I'm going to join the guild that was established here just a bit ago, but until then I'll go with you two. Can't treat this like a game, we've got to be smart about it" Emma said, before opening her menu. How the hell did she do this...ah, there it was. There was a button to request to join the party. Seconds later, a message would pop up in front of Tessa with Emma's request to join.

Before they continued, Samuel realized he hadn't even invited <Hades> or <Seth's Angel> to a party. Pulling up the menu, he sent an invitation to both of them to officially join his party. Once that was sent, he veered off of the path to the left slightly, where there was a beta tester offering to trade them a copy of his personal manual for a little gold. It was frustrating having to rely on someone else, but Samuel took the offer and acquired the item. He opened the book and began reading. He stood there for about two minutes, skimming the basic mechanics which happened to include summoning, and he then made his way back to <Hades> and <Seth's Angel>,walking alongside them once again. "From what I can tell, most people are heading towards the same area. My guess would be someone found some low level enemies. We could do that, but if we go to some slightly higher levels, we can fight those things instead and level much more quickly. It'll be riskier, but the reward will be worth it. We might not have the levels to make it a breeze yet, but if you're really a veteran of SAO like you claim we'll just have to pick up the slack for Angel and we'll be fine" Samuel said, giving a friendly jab towards <Hades> as he did so. He may not like socializing, but that didn't mean he didn't know how to do it.

A short time later, Samuel and Samantha had reached the area with the orcs. Samuel hadn't paid attention to <Hades> on the way there, in fact he'd barely been keeping an eye on <Seth's Angel>, so it was extremely possible he'd just followed anyway. Not even really glancing at his allies, Samuel unsheathed his blade. It had been a while since he'd fought something a higher level than him. He was only level 2, and the Orc he was staring at was level 5. A three level difference could mean a lot, so Samuel would have to be on top of his game. A smirk appeared on the youngster's face. He was always on top of his game. "Angel, keep an eye on my health. It should be a little bar to the side of your vision. If that starts getting low, I want you to open your menu and look at the incantation for your cure spell. Do that and we shouldn't have to pull anything too desperate here. Aside from that, see if you can fire a few arrows. The game should do most of the work for you, just do what comes naturally" he instructed, before dashing forward.

It was Samuel who landed the first strike. He was disappointed with how slow he was; his speed stat had been much higher in SAO, as had his physical attack. Only a small sliver of the orc's hp actually went down, with the creature responding. Thankfully, Samuel was able to parry the strike with his blade as he saw an arrow coming straight for the orc....and flying straight past its head. "Give it another try!" he called out, through gritted teeth. The pressure from the orc's club was too much, and Samuel hopped backwards and out of the way.

Not letting the assault end there, he struck two strikes on the orc; the first hit hitting the side of the creature and then once on its back. It was at about half hp now, and it was not liking it. Turning around, it swung ferociously at its opponent, but Samuel sidestepped it quickly. He was very nimble naturally, and he'd been against some of the higher strength bosses in the original SAO so the clumsy attacks of this beast were predictable, making it a less challenging fight than it should have been. The orc swung once more at him with a bellowing roar, and Samuel ducked down underneath the strike before seeing his opportunity. Swinging the katana up with supreme gusto, he drove the blade straight up the orc's chest, landing several hits on the creature before it fell backwards and exploded into pixels.

No sooner had Samuel done that then he felt a little stronger. He'd levelled up. It didn't surprise him that much, given he'd been roughly halfway through level 2 before the encounter due to fighting goblins before they'd all been teleported to hear the death message. One more Orc should put him to level 4, maybe 5 if the others could take out another, or two. In his moment of distraction, he felt a tremendous blow to his side that sent him barreling away and across the ground, sliding along the ground and creating a small dust cloud. Getting up with a groan, Samuel looked forward to see another Orc. He spit out some blood onto the ground and then a slight smirk appeared on his face. He wasn't going to be able to take another hit like that; if he couldn't see the attack, it felt as though it hit harder. And so he had one choice. This was going to test his abilities, he had no doubt about that.

Well damn, It must have been christmas or something because a miracle happened. Hunter actually listened to somebody else. TWO somebodies! What a change of character. "Is he telling the truth? Holy crap Aedion, mr arrogance my friend you are a ******. 'With all due respect' my ass, you just outright insulted him! That's my thing! I mean, you were justified in doin' it because, " Hunter said, before looking at Neoph, "with all due respect, I'm just going to say what Aedion didn't have the balls to say; sir you are a godamned idiot. At least my plan would have communication. We run in weapons swinging wildly yelling battle chants but hey we'd be talking, yours is hey lets send the most arrogant gu-" the man began, before stopping as he saw Lance.

"Okay, the second most arrogant g-" he said, before remembering everything he'd said. "You know what, lets go with you're sending one of the most arrogant guys here with Lance, which immediately is a horrible idea, and then you're sending those two with the two mutes. Who is the bad guy here? Is it the one we're going to attack, or the one who is condemning two mutes who can't defend themselves to an eternal hell" he said, before pausing. "No offence" he added quickly, apologizing to Lance and Aedion.

"I say stick with the ideas you've had, but don't listen to perky tits over there, she doesn't know too much. You should swap with one of the mutes to balance things out. Lance and Aedion need some kinda authority figure to help with their daddy issues so you'd fit there, and she needs someone who is experienced in everything. Yeah, everything" he finished, winking at Ana and then turning to look at Neoph and await his response.

While Shane was most certainly surprised at Ze Operator's rebooting, he was even more surprised at his ability to pick up on the fact that it was him that had done it. That was strange. Pushing generally just made people want to do things, there wasn't necessarily a voice involved. "Well, I tried" he said, shrugging his shoulders. Despite his surprise, he maintained an expression of being calm, almost bored even. However, this facade dropped the moment Alexis touched him. It was as though it were some kind of spell, but that was impossible...even he with all his telepathic powers couldn't influence someone's body to have a physical reaction to something like that. Of course his natural response to that would be hell yeah, and damn he wanted to. Like, he wasn't even into those kinds of girls and yet he wanted her.

And yet, as much as his little head wanted to say yes and go for it, his big head said no. For now, the big head won over. Barely. "Tempting. Very tempting, but not right now. At least, as far as making it worth my while goes. I'll team up with you guys, but that's it" he explained, all the while having to fight against his body screaming at him that he was an idiot.

Emma's eyes widened slightly at the sound of the safety getting flicked off, and she stopped attacking Bryce. In fact, she hadn't even thought there would be safety in a videogame, but there it was. Solid proof that yes, safety was a thing. Well, at least when the murderous dick threw them into a life or death scenario he thought to give them some kind of safety precaution. Wouldn't want everyone killing themselves off immediately, she figured. Quickly, Emma realized she needed an adult. After that realization, another thought came to mind. She opened the menu and equipped her shotgun, and as it was fading into existence she spun around and pointed the barrel of it straight in Tessa's face. She had her finger on the trigger, but she found she couldn't do it. She wasn't a killer, and it certainly wasn't worth taking a life over something as small as someone flipping her off. At last, reason found its way into her mind.

Lowering the shotgun, she was now pointing it directly at the ground although she didn't unequip it. If someone like her came that close, what was to stop someone with less restraint doing it? Then again, she had just leaped onto a boy and attacked him viciously for being a little rude, did she even have that much restraint? "I'm sorry just...its all so much to take in. I'm not the kind of person that usually winds up in situations like this, this is the first time I've even played a VRMMO alltogether" she said, before standing up and looking towards Bryce. Shooting him a slight glare, she continued. "I'm sorry that I did that too, but you can't pretend you didn't deserve a little of it...damn assholes" she said, saying the very last part quietly to herself.

Letting out a slight sigh, Samuel turned towards Sylar. He'd tried to reduce the amount of people he had to talk to and failed. Course, he could always go solo, but what would be the point in agreeing to protect this girl and then simply abandoning her? Maybe <Hades> could take care of her, but if he couldn't then it would be Samuel's own fault, wouldn't it? "Alright. I'll go then. I suppose I have to look at the bright side, at least my bullcrap tolerance skill should go up. Damn that'd be a useful skill to have" he stated, before following behind Sylar. "Looks like we'll be travelling together, at least for now" he said. It could be confused for an attempt to start conversation, and likely would, but it was really just him making a statement.

Okay, so the guy hadn't done anything. The girl, presumably his sister given their similar appearance, had also ignored her. The flipping her off hadn't even bothered Emma that much. Sure, it was rude, but in the type of scenario it was understandable if people flipped each other off. Who knew, maybe he was just a goddamn idiot and thought he was pointing at the sky as if to say "that is a bigger issue". He was probably American, the bloody snobs were always ignoring others and being obnoxious, and they weren't exactly the brightest bulbs. All their headspace was filled with notions of freedom of speech, freedom of doing whatever they want, SO MUCH DAMN FREEDOM LIKE WHAT THE HELL.

Okay, maybe she was a little bothered by it. And if that hadn't been obvious before now, what she did next certainly was. Getting up, she began fuming as she began racing towards him. "Hey, are you going to run away from everything? You f***ing *******!" she exclaimed, diving into the boy and crash tackling him to the ground, just like she'd learned from wrestling with her brothers. And no, not in a dirty way, this isn't a game of thrones RP. Quickly pinning the boy to the ground, she leaped over and crouched above his head, before she began slapping him furiously in between statements like "YOU THINK YOU'RE TOO GOOD FOR ME BECAUSE I WAS DESCENDED FROM CONVICTS HUH?", "THINK I'M GOING TO THROW A F***ING SHRIMP ON THE GODDAMN F***ING BARBIE OR SOME S**T? WELL **** YOU YOU ARROGANT YANK!", and of course who could forget my personal favourite, "I'M GOING TO KICK YOUR ASS SO BAD IT'LL FEEL LIKE A THOUSAND ROOS BANGED THE **** OUT OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME YOU F***ER!" before finally pulling back her hand and giving him the bitchslap to end all, sending an echo throughout the circle of judgement and surely turning some heads, either in amusement or horror she had no idea, but she didn't care. Maybe a little bothered was an understatement.

Samuel thought about what Samantha had said. "DragonBlade? I can't say that I knew him personally, but I heard he was a fairly strong player. Shame I didn't get to meet him, really, I would've liked to meet someone with such a reputation" he said. His voice was fairly low and serious, mostly because he was still thinking of his past. Had he met DragonBlade, it probably would have been to kill him, which would have made this situation very awkw- well, more awkward than it was, anyway. He listened to what <Hades> had said, before he began wandering away. He was right, the road ahead was dangerous and the sooner they left the more of an advantage they had the better.

However, rather than move after him, Samuel stayed where he was for the moment. He looked at <Seth's Angel>, and for a brief moment he wondered how someone had managed a username with an apostrophe in it, but that was overtaken by his next question. "Maybe it's because he's named by the greek god of the underworld, but I don't like the guy too much. Could also be because I don't like talking so much. Either way, he's got a point about having the advantage. So, do we follow or find another way?" he asked.

Shane Ware was on his way to the tower of power. He'd been journeying for a while now, after having escaped the confines of the labaratory with his friend Colton. A slight smile appeared at his face as he thought of his friend. Colton was perhaps the only friend Shane had ever had, even if they weren't particularly close it was still important to him. He was contemplating what was going to happen inside the tower. Supposedly, there were going to be extreme challenges. Was he ready? Only time would tell.

He was still in deep thought when he arrived to see one girl yelling at a guy, and one female still on the ground. What had happened here? With a slight sigh, Shane began tapping into his telepathic powers. He'd been a telepath since the day he was born, but his powers hadn't activated until a little later in his life. That being said, he was pretty good with them. Using his ability to mind read, he examined the minds of each person there. It seemed the male had been acting in the girls' best interests, but he did pose a slight problem. How were they to enter if the doorway was jarred?

He began reaching into Ze Operator's mind, prying just a little. "Hey, that's the tower of power, right? We need to get into there, and you're kind of in the way. Mind moving your sword out of there so we can get past?" he asked telepathically, using his Pushing power. Ze Operator wouldn't be forced to do what Shane said, but damn he would feel like he wanted to. Such was the power of a telepath. When it came to physical fighting, Shane wasn't the absolute best, but put him in something that required any mental capability and he was a pure terror. With that done, he turned and looked at the other two women. "What happened here?" he asked, giving no indication he'd read their minds at all.

Gaius used Quick Blitz. It did 5 damage, but with strength, speed and weapon it did 37 damage!
Ra used Binding Strike. It did 8 damage, but with strength, speed, weapon and magic it did 55 damage!
Veilen used Fire Dash. It did 18 damage, but with magic, speed and weapon it did 32 damage! Sheeptard was ignited, taking 5 damage per turn for this turn and the next!
Thomas used Thunder. It did 4 damage, but with magic and weapon it did 20 damage!
Rennette used Esuna on Charlotte, causing her to wake up!
Charlotte woke up! She then used fire surge, dealing 28 damage, but with magic and defence it did 39 damage! Sheeptard was set...more on fire? Taking 4 damage per turn for this turn and the next!

All together, the party did 172 damage, with Sheeptard's defence reducing 13 of that. BUT with the flames, Sheeptard took an additional 14 damage. 173 damage dealt!

Sheeptard used Assault and Baahttery. A 50hp shield is placed on him until the end of his next turn.

Sheeptard used his "Screw ewe" attack. He flung a lamb at Gaius, dealing 8 damage, but with strength and weapon it did 35 damage! The rest of the party took 17 damage (except for Ra because charlotte)!
    Rennette's defence blocked 3 damage
    Gaius' defence blocked 2 damage
    Veilen's defence blocked 6 damage
Ra's defence blocked...wait Ra doesn't have defence. Good thing he has a meatshield!
    Thomas' defence blocked 5 damage
    Charlotte's defence blocked 4

The party's speed is halved until the end of the next round of combat!
    Gaius and Veilen fell asleep!

Sheeptard the Sheep King. Praise be unto him!

    HP: 213
    Weapon: Horns (2X 5-10 damage)
    Strength: 18
    Speed: 8
    Defence: 15
    Magic: 5

"Screw ewe" attack: Sheeptard hurls an innocent, adorable lamb at his opponents, dealing aoe damage and halving their speed for two turns as they stop to gaze at its adorableness.
1-10 damage to one target, half to everyone else

Baaaaaaaaad laser: Shoots a laser at his opponents that does 0 damage and does not scale, but looks ****ing awesome.
    0-0 damage
"Ram"page: Sheeptard charges his opponent down, dealing a solid amount of damage and stunning them for one turn. Due to knockups being a non-cleansable form of CC, Esuna does not affect it.
5-8 damage to a single target

Assault and Baahttery: The Sheep King plucks a lamb from the earth itself and slams it into his chest with supreme, manly gusto, causing the lamb to stick to his woolly awesomeness and provide a temporary meatshield, and nobody can ever take that away from it.
50 damage shield for 1 turn

Unstoppable Fleece: Despite his manly ego, Sheeptard is a little....sheepish, and is quite easily startled. Each attack landed on him has a 5% chance to engulf the attacker in the fluffiest wool imaginable, reducing the damage on their next attack by 50%.

Lambassador: While Sheeptard mourns the loss of his woolen brethren, he also respects the laws of the land and the means for survival, and so he consumes his fallen lamb friends, gaining 50 hp back whenever one of his meatshields are destroyed, as well as +5 damage on his next attack.

Counting Sheep: Sheeptard casts his magic on an enemy, causing them to feel drowsy as illusions of small sheep began running by them and leaping over fences. After three turns, the victim falls into a deep slumber. Lasts 3 turns.

The entire time that the meeting had been going on, Hunter had done two things. The first was he had brought up his suggestion earlier, and the second was what he was doing right at that moment. He was simply staring at Ana's chest, likely making her feel uncomfortable but he was trying to guess her bra size. So far he hadn't gotten very far, but after that he'd probably examine her butt. These things were good to know, at least for Hunter they were. However, as Neoph finished speaking, Hunter's train of thought was broken and he snapped back into reality. "Oh, right. Good plan, I say go with that. Couldn't have said it better myself" he said rather quickly. The fact he had actually said something good about someone was a dead giveaway he wasn't paying attention.

Emma nodded her head. "I think I'll see about joining the guild. I hope I'll meet you again too, Kat. Don't go dying before then, okay?" she said. With that done, she went to walk away and bumped straight into a guy that seemed to be walking with his sister. Emma fell back onto her butt, and got up quickly. "Watch where you're going!" she shouted, more than a little annoyed. With all that was going on, her emotions were running high.
