Theeeere you go. Unless you're up for a big read, you might want to avoid his bio.
Username: Glen Character Name: Shane Ware Age: 18 Level: 7 Appearance: Here Weapons/Items/Abilities: (Max 5) Mind Reading Telepathic Speaking Pushing Psionic Inundation Telepathic Combat Special Ability: Darkside View - This ability has multiple uses, but the way it works is the same. When used on someone, the person's innermost, darkest emotions are brought out, often causing them to become violent and ruthless, yet almost desperate in their attacks. The target's attacks are drastically increased in power, but due to the style of combat they usually resort to they leave themselves open to damage, taking increased damage for the duration of the ability. Short History: Spoiler: Screw short. I like writing bios Shane Ware was raised in a life of poverty. Never knowing true happiness or any sort of privilege, his childhood was a sad one until the age of seven, where he discovered his powers. At first he came to see them as a gift, practicing them where he can and thoroughly enjoying his newfound gift. Eventually, he began using them to his advantage, playing guessing games with people for a small fee and putting the idea in their mind that was the wrong one. It wasn't much money, but it was enough to improve his family's standard of living enough that they began to be able to relax just a little. This was not to last, however. At the age of 14, his mother was struck down with an incurable illness, Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease to be exact. Knowing no cure for it, his family could only wait and watch his mother's health deteriorate. For all Shane's powers, he could do nothing but watch and attempt to restore any memories his mother lost. A few months after his 17th birthday, Shane went to a party to celebrate his father getting a promotion, but at the party people began bullying him, jealous of the money he was making from a simple trick. They tried several times to best him, but by pure dumb luck they didn't guess correctly a single time. The bullies began to abuse him both physically and shouting horrible things at him. This continued for several minutes until his father came over to see if he was okay, but upon seeing the bullies he backed off and returned to the party, pretending he hadn't seen anything. More upset then he had ever been, Shane felt truly alone. He found himself wishing they would kill themselves, wishing they would just leave him alone and take their own lives. Completely unintentionally, he used his powers and the bullies did just that, as well as everyone else there with the exception of Shane's father. After seeing what had happened and knowing of Shane's powers, his father turned on him. Pulling out a handgun, he pointed it at his son and began screaming at him and cursing him, saying he wished he had never been born and saying specifically he was nothing but a burden, a mistake, a monster. Shane yelled out to his father and pleaded for him to listen, but the man would not. Amidst his pleading, Shane used his most powerful ability on himself, knowing if he was to survive there was no other way. He used his powers to bring out the darkest side of his personality, and then he used his Psionic Inundation to bombard his father with such powerful psychic waves the man's brain completely shut down, dying immediately. Shane left that area the only survivor, the police labelling it as a mass suicide pact and moving on, but the boy knew better. He began looking into things to help him with his power, which he now thought of as a curse, and he stumbled upon a single name after reluctantly reading the minds of several government agents. Lyle Strain. He had experience with people with powers, perhaps he could help him. Shane decided to go to mr Strain, needing help and wanting answers to four questions: Why did he have the powers when so many others could have been chosen, was there any way for him to ever become "normal" again, how deep down was his darker side, and most importantly...why had every part of him found enjoyment when he saw the people killing themselves? He found Strain rather quickly, and met a boy with telekinetic powers captive there. Strain turned on Shane, treating him as a prisoner and science experiment, but in doing so he gave Shane something the boy hadn't expected to find; confidence. Shane was forced into situations he had never predicted, was forced to tap into his powers and unleash the true potential within himself. He did just this, and together with his friend Colton they escaped. However, Shane knew the danger he was, and while part of him wanted to simply kill Colton there and then, he left his friend and parted ways. He would find a way to train his body and his mind to become the perfect telepath, and ensure that the only people that were ever hurt around him were the ones that he wanted to hurt. Fast forward a few months later, and Shane had found the tower of power. Such a place would surely be a good place to test his abilities and push him to his limit, and maybe...just maybe, he could atone for the wrongs he had committed. Other:รץภςє๔ LIVES ON IN SPIRIT
You'll see it in just a bit when I post the sheet :P
Hmm, well I'm not so certain I have those questions anymore, after reading through the thread a couple of times. I'm making a Telepath, and 3 of...
Are you able to get onto Skype so I can ask a couple of questions about it?
With the tower of power, does my character HAVE to have a weapon, or can his abilities themselves (supernatural abilities) count instead of a weapon?
You know what, sure I'm game. Count me in if you get it going.
Uh, well there's a number of places you could pop up at. Atm, most people are at the keyblade graveyard though so that might be a good spot
Hey Mindstorm, long time no see! Welcome back!
One moment Glen was trying to defeat Mortimer, the next he had ink-like tentacles attached to his arms and legs. He struggled against the tentacles, even summoning his keyblade to attempt to fight against them, but there was very little he could do. Slowly but surely, he could feel the strength leaving his body. As the ink entered his body, his will to fight left it. Soon enough, he found himself completely overwhelmed by it. He fell backwards, slipping on the ink beneath him as the ink crawled up his face and gathered around his eyes. The last thing he saw was the looks on everyone's faces; looks of horror, fear, and worry, and it was at that point a single thought entered Glen's mind. I failed them. Everyone. My homeworld, my friends, nobody is safe now. I wasn't...strong enough. Three seconds later, the darkness enveloped him entirely, leaving nothing but an inky splotch where a powerful keyblade wielder had once stood. ~some time later~ He awoke with a start. Leaping up, Glen quickly brushed himself off to get rid of the ink, but he found that it was simply no longer on him. It had vanished without a trace, as had everyone else seemingly. Looking around, the keyblade wielder couldn't recognise where he was. Apparently he was in some kind of giant land, filled with plenty of mess and various objects scattered around the place. Where was he? "Lets see, over there I can see a huge cup, a bit away from it there's a box, and just next to it there's a- oof!" he exclaimed as he fell forward and got a face full of dirt. He coughed before rolling over and looking at what had tripped him. To his surprise, it wasn't some object on the ground, but he'd actually tripped over Kaida's leg. "Holy ****, I don't know how I didn't see you there Kaida. I'm glad you're here, though" he said quickly, before noticing someone off a short distance away, too. "Krowley? Krowley! Good to see you're alright! Have you seen any of the others?" he called out.
Turns out, flying wasn't as easy as Glen had thought. He'd hopped into the pilot's seat as Ana had hopped into the thing aswell, but he had then sat completely still for a minute as he examined all of the buttons. He couldn't press all of them because that would be a bad idea, but if he didn't experiment how was he supposed to know what they actually did? If he didn't know what they did, he'd never be able to fly. There was only one thing he could do, and that was improvise! Frantically, he pushed buttons. Everything from cup holders to rapidly flashing lights began activating all at once only to deactivate seconds later, while Glen's hands were practically a blur. He stopped when one of the buttons caused a disco ball to descend from the ceiling and slow, sensual music began to play. Turning to look at Ana, there was a very judgemental look on his face. "I'm not even going to ask why you have that" he said simply, before turning back to the buttons. After about another ten minutes of Glen flipping switches and causing strange functions to activate (one of which actually made a TV with an old western movie playing descend from the ceiling), he finally made progress and the ship whirred into life. Taking hold of the controls, Glen pushed forward and it went up and began flying away towards their destination. He was a literal piloting god to have figured it out without crashing. While Glen thought he had done it, it was really Sapphire getting sick of it and levitating the ship up into the air to ensure they didn't crash and burn.
It was strange that there was now a ship available. If it had been available from the get go, why had she not mentioned it first? Urgent mission from the goddess sounded like enough of an emergency to warrant the use of a ship. Perhaps there was another reason....but what? And then it hit him. Pushing past Ana, he began heading in the direction of the loading docks. "Over here. I'll drive, by the way. Wouldn't want someone crashing their own ship and killing the only hope the worlds have left, would we?" Glen asked, a slight smirk appearing on his face as he did so. He'd always wanted to fly a ship, and to be honest he had no idea how, but how hard could it be?
Skadi, too, had caught onto the voice. She recognized it as Damian's voice, but he didn't sound like he was talking to himself. She was about to go over and say hi; after all, the new person could be looking for anyone. Damian wasn't a dragonslayer as far as she could tell, but maybe he knew someone that was. She was going to, and then Thea told her the news she'd been holding in. Immediately Skadi's eyes opened wide in shock. "Holy crap Thea! Really?! That's so great! I am so happy for you, you must be ecstatic!" she said, doing her best to share her friends joy. She wasn't quite sure how it could happen or why it had happened, but she knew how much Thea's family meant to her, so for news like that to come around she could only imagine how happy her friend was. "I do wonder how he did it though" she admitted. Deciding to take note of Tessa's gaze, she gestured towards the tree that Damian was standing at, next to another girl...who was that girl? That was the one that had been talking to Thomas. "Do you want to go say hi to them? Maybe it'll help" she suggested.
"I'm not looking for someone" Glen replied quickly. "Well, I am, I'm just not quite sure who yet" he added, correcting himself. He stared at the girl for a moment. What was the harm in telling her a name? It had been about three hundred and fifty years since he'd used his name, surely nobody around would know him by it so there was no real danger. "My name's Glen, not that it really matters" the man said, before allowing that to sink in for a little bit. After a minute or so, he decided to explain the situation. If he failed, they were screwed and it didn't matter if she knew anyway, and if he succeeded because of this random girl then he could deal with disclosing information later. However, he was in no hurry to give specifics. Enough information to get what he needed, that's all he would give. "Look, I don't have much time to talk. If I fail this mission, the goddess could very well die. If you have a way of transport, I need to use it. If not, then I'll look elsewhere" he responded, a slight tone of annoyance in his voice.
"You *****, what the **** do you think you're doing?" Hunter exclaimed as Samsara stopped his punch. "What does it look like I'm trying to do? I'm going to test the hero's strength. If he's as legendary as things say, he shouldn't have a problem stopping a single hit" the man said as he lowered his fist. He then gave a slight smirk and patted Samsara on the head gently. "But it's okay, you were an adequate meatshield and nobody can ever take that away from you" Hunter stated, before slugging another strike right at Xindai's torso. Just after Glen had left the building, he had stopped. If he couldn't open a dark corridor, how was he to travel around? Sure, he could use his keyblade and simply glide there, but if he found the wielder of excalibur and they didn't have a keyblade of their own or some other form of transport, it'd only delay them even more while the keyslinger turned around to go and find some. This was a pretty big issue. On top of that, he didn't actually know many people on Riel. He'd lived there a long time, but had spent most of it isolated from civilization, only really venturing in there to take Xero there. So how was he to find some kind of transport? Maybe some kind of gummi ship would work. Just as he had that thought, he heard the doors open. Whirring around, he saw a girl who looked as though she had only just managed to actually stay standing. Well, if he was going to have to meet the locals, he may as well start there. "Hey, I'm on a pretty urgent mission from the goddess herself and am in need of some transport. Do you know a way I can get some?" he asked politely.
Hey man, I saw you signed up for my favourite RP. Atm I'm not entirely sure we are accepting new people, at least until activity picks up, but if...
I believe you guys need tighter gun control policies. While you will always have murders and accidents and assaults no matter where you go, making it so easy to obtain a gun only adds to the problem. Yes, there are situations where the use of a firearm could help protect an individual, but I'm not entirely sure how any of you can wander the streets with the knowledge the guy passing you on the opposite side of the road could suddenly pull out a handgun and kill you immediately.
"Alright" the girl simply responded, beginning to walk out of the guild hall. As Thea came over to her, Skadi glanced at her young friend. "What?" she asked, giving Thea the response she was hopefully looking for. While she awaited the excited youngster's answer, Skadi found herself wondering where she would actually go. Was the bar the best idea? She couldn't think of anything better, given the fact that she was looking for someone in the guild. "Taking his life will accomplish nothing. People are attracted to power, so unless you eradicate humanity itself lullaby will always be a threat. Just be at ease now that Kageyama has been stopped, Alessia. The threat has passed, there is no need to start any further confrontations" Caleb stated, being ever so wise and saying something that sounded as though it fit. He didn't look at Alessia as he talked though, deciding to instead keep a watchful eye on Kageyama. He wasn't entirely sure things were over, but he had to remain positive even if that were the case.
"I'd love ta, but if I did that I'd have to skip the meetin'. I don't like the things, but I have to turn up every once in a while. If I don't, I lose my fancy title and a little power, and there are just too many benefits to being in the group to pass it up. But hey, after the meeting I'll be happy to go a round, been after one all bloody day so I may as well" Hunter grumbled. The idea of missing out on a fight because of Neoph annoyed him to no end, but a committment was a committment, even if he didn't want to honour it. He just hoped the meeting was worth it. ~some time later~ And it was, kind of. "Good evening, everyone." Neoph had greeted. Sure, would've been great if someone had actually made the meeting like, half an hour later or something. Or if there were female strippers. Either one of them would've been lovely, but neither had happened so it wasn't as great as Neoph seemed to think. He'd then introduced Ana to them, and this had caused Hunter to yell out "My offer still stands if you're interested" being as smooth as ever. Once that was said, Neoph brought up the weekly assignments, and claimed they had expected them. That was odd, Hunter couldn't remember any weekly assignments. Well, that wasn't entirely true. He couldn't remember completing any weekly assignments. The next piece of information was interesting. Someone else was out there killing people, and had murdered anyone that had gone to investigate except one. Hunter would've had respect for the mystery murderer, but he let one get away and so that small amount of respect vanished instantly. Aedion then pointed out the dangers of simply bum rushing them and going super aggressive, and at that point Hunter had to disagree. "Nah, have you seen the guards around here? I wouldn't exactly call them threatenin', hell I beat one up one night while I was drunk. The guy had his sword, I had nothin but drunken rage and he got his ass handed to him. They probably got lost and the surviving one didn't wanna admit it. If you want to hide like a little doggy with its tail between its legs go for it, but hell I've been itchin' for a fight and this mysterious guy has challenged us to one" the bounty hunter stated, making perhaps the most genius statement of all time.
Caleb used Blitz Skadi raised an eyebrow at the woman's statement. "I wasn't doing anything before this, so I'm not busy at all. You need to find someone, so let's find them. Maybe we could go for a walk around the town to see if we can find someone or something to jog your memory a little, and then me and Thea can catch up along the way. Killing two birds with one stone?" she questioned.
