I think Zexion,Vexen and Demyx will be eliminated first.Zexion has potential but has rather weak defense.Demyx also has potential if he does it right.Axel might kill himself in the process.

I would control Darkness.You get night vision,illusion a lot of skills to name.No air? For the basic elements....Air.Why?You get to control the weather,fly move objects....lots of stuff to do.
