The destruction of the Stormbringer was breathtaking. All the light and darkness poured out of it, leaving the new Masters to gaze in astonishment. Ananta sighed heavily, happy that that was finally over, she wanted to join her comrades and celebrate. She was cut short by the gale that erupted around the party. She covered her face and braced herself, hair and skirt flying in the wind. Once it had come to full force, she attempted to watch what caused it in time to see Hughes sent flying and Shiro falling to the ground. Her instinct as a healer kicked in and Ananta ran towards Mizu and Shiro, sliding to a stop. She knelt down and put her hands over Shiro's body, starting to cast Curaga on him. "That was amazing!" she exclaimed. "Do you think he will be okay, though?" Ananta looked at Mizu.
Tinarah's attempts at making them stop were lost to Qamar. She continued to stab at Dentro, stopping when she found the boy was grabbing her keyblade. He delivered a gut punch that pushed her back, but she certainly wasn't going to get knocked out by something like that. She put her hand over her stomach and held it there a moment, a grin still across her face. "Didn't hurt at all." she remarked. She put her hand forward to beckon Dentro when the ground shook again. A fissure had formed behind the Chaser and was threatening to swallow him up. Dentro spoke of killing them all. Especially those with darkness in them. She laughed at him, seeing the darkness rising out of his armor. "Better get rid of yourself then, boy!" she yelled to him. Before he could react to her, Dentro stumbled and fell back. Qamar ran forward, watching Dentro fall to what she assumed was his death. "Good riddance." she scoffed, turning to where Illiana had ran off to. Seemed like the other Chaser had taken notice of their dwindling numbers and was attempting to run with the last Chaser in the vicinity. "Tinarah." Qamar said, looking towards the girl. "I'm taking you with me." She jumped over and put her arm around Tinarah's waist, picking the girl up and turning around. She then hopped around and made her way back Illiana and Chrono. On the way, she looked to Boreas. "Boreas! I'm heading to Illiana!" she called, taking a breather. "We gotta go find Torrin after this, I don't think this world is fixed yet." she calle again, hopping again. She finally reached Illiana and let Tinarah down. "Chrono, she's hurt." Qamar said. "I'll take care of Illiana." Qamar then knelt down to her comrade. "I don't get why you'd hurt her...but if you ever get near her or any of my friends again, you'll end up like your friend. In a ravine." Qamar spoke, looking up at Koa. "And believe me, I'd quite enjoy that." she said with a grin. Looking down at Illiana, she saw the wounds Illiana had sustained. Taking off the cloth around her waist, Qamar pulled out what seemed to be a first aid kit of sorts. Inside she had a bottle that she started to pour on the wounds. It would sting and hurt, but it was cleaning the wounds. Qamar then applied a healing salve to the wounds, one that would aid in closing them up. Finally, she applied clean bandages as best as she could. "Wake up, Illiana. You're too proud to just die to your foolish brother, right?" she called, trying to wake up the girl. She looked over and saw a locket gleaming in the little bit of light that was around. Qamar grabbed it and looked it over. "Is this yours?" she asked Illiana before she tried to open it.
The events around Qamar were lost to her desire to cause such harm to Dentro. Though she did avert her gaze to where Dentro had turned. "Oh please, boy. You'll be dead before that!" she yelled at him, laughing wickedly. "I've killed my own father, It's pretty easy!" The world rumbled and a sonic boom echoed throught. Qamar glanced voer to the red eyes and nearly wanted to run after where they were at currently, but she knew she had to deal with Dentro first. He was priority and she was NOT letting him go. Dentro managed to headbutt her, but she just pressed her forehead against his helmet and kept the grin on her face. Blood trickled down from her forehead where the helmet let a wound. Her keyblade was prepped and ready, transformed into it's rapier state. She then started to stab at Dentro's armor repeatedly, trying to stab his chest. Although her strikes hit all over his torso, she only left cracks where her keyblade connected. She laughed at Dentro's attempts as the dark aura around her called upon the darkness around her to put force into her stabs.
Qamar may have missed her kick, but at least she was able to try and slow down Dentro, even if for a moment. Although her attacks with her keyblade were fruitless, she was happy to have at least done...something to him. Or maybe not, since he didn't seemed at all fazed by any of this. She watched him swing Adalric around and smack Tinarah back. Qamar winced when she saw that and tried to move, but the vines were back and were digging into her legs. The pain was awful, but she had other things to worry about. Dentro started to talk about not hitting girls and orphans. "Yeah...I got mine....before my world was...destroyed." she said, between attempts of pulling away from the vines. She stopped when she felt Dentro's keyblade poke her stomach. Her eyes trailed up to glare right at Dentro's. As she listened, her eyes had a more yellow glow to them. She was trying to use her darkness to get rid of the vines, but it just wasn't working. He talked about her being dark aligned and that, honestly, didn't bother her much. She knew she wasn't a pure light wielder. She didn't care. What she did care was that Dentro didn't think she was needed. "Yeah well how are you gonna have balance if there's no dark wielders?" she retorted. His keyblade poked her chest and she felt her heart react a little, as if it were in fear. She frowned and glared at Dentro, feeling the blood trickle down her chest. Knowing there was no escape, Qamar closed her eyes. She was ready to be pierced and her life to end. She knew she shouldn't even be alive at this point what with having done so many sinful things. Her life was the price to pay to even try at righting the wrongs she had committed. She kept her eyes closed until she heard the keyblade make contact with another body. Her eyes shot open and she saw Adalric turn towards her and try to make a joke. She listened to him as she reached down and grabbed the vines, ripping them with newfound strength. She tossed the vines to the side and fell to her knees. Qamar picked up Adalric while tears filled her eyes. She listened to his last words and held him close to her as the lights started to fade off of him. She listened closely so she could tell the other Masters later on. "Don't leave me." she begged. "Please...we aren't best friends but..Adalric, you...you were my fellow student...you...we...we were good for each other...I could fight and you could defend me." Her words were lost to Adalric as his body finally faded away and she was left holding onto the wisps of light that remained. She watched his heart float away before she looked back down at the blood on her costume and hands. A guttural scream came from Qamar. The spell drowned out most of the scream, but it could probably still be heard from those nearby. It was all her frustration from fighting with Dentro, fighting Illiana, fighting the heartless, and fighting with herself. She couldn't keep it together as the darkness within her bubbled and spilled, seeping into the ground around her. She slammed her hands to the ground and left small cracks where her fists made contact with the concrete. Her eyes moved from her hands and up to Dentro. She rose and gripped at her costume. Tearing it away from her body, her previous clothes were underneath this entire time. Her legs were still torn up from the vines, but she couldn't feel the pain anymore. All she felt was heartache and all she wanted was revenge. Qamar walked towards Dentro and got as close as she could to him. "You murdered my comrade." she said, grabbing at Dentro's arm and squeezing it if able to. "I ought to do the same to you." she spoke with a sickeningly sweet inflection. Her other hand gripped her keyblade as a teal aura appeared around her. "Master Kidemonas, lend me your strength while I teach this boy a lesson." she said, readying her keyblade after first using a Cura spell on herself. Qamar was relieved that Tinarah got back up so quickly. When she noticed where Tinarah was going, Qamar got the hint and jumped up, rushing forward. She didn't even summon her keyblade again as she rushed for Dentro. He was too busy punching Adalric, that Qamar was gladly able to attack. She delievered a strong kick straight to Dentro's face, managing to knock him away from Adalric for now. Once he was back to his feet, she summoned her keyblade and started to assault Dentro, wasting no time in making sure he had no time to even think about Adalric again. Through all of this, she could only think about Adalric and what condition he was now in. She was scared it was too late, but she was too busy beating the ever living crap out of Dentro to notice. Qamar smiled at Tinarah and went about her way to fight and beat on the Shadows that were around them. Countless shadows fell to Qamar and it made her feel better about all that had happened. She continued to beat on the Shadows when she was attacked from behind by a stray Shadow. She dispatched it in time to see Tinarah go down for the count. "Tinarah!" she yelled, starting towards her before she saw Adalric getting beat up by Dentro. Torn between the two, Qamar gulped and started to debate. Coming to a conclusion, she nodded to herself and ran towards Tinarah. Adalric was a tanky guy, he could beat up Dentry by sheer stamina alone. There was no way he'd die, right? Sure Qamar barely knew a ton about him. Heck, they weren't even friends. She was confident in his abilities and she had no reason to worry. Besides, she could ask him later how he beat Dentro. She finally made it to Tinarah as the Neoshadow lost interest. She knelt down and picked up Tinarah. She held her as a Cura spell washed over the beaten girls' body. As Tinarah was coming to, Qamar started to wipe the blood off of her face, being careful of any sore spots. "Are you okay?" she yelled, trying to get over this darn quietness. Qamar glared down at Glyde when he ran between the two. As the boy blocked the way between Illiana and her, Qamar placed her hand on his head and held it hard, digging her nails in a little. "This isn't your battle boy. Best leave bef-" she was cut off by a suddenly devastating attack from a Neoshadow. Boreas' words were drowned out by the ringing in her ears as she fell to the ground, feeling her life barely hanging on. Her eyes were still glazed over, but she was slowly returning from her change. She just needed the last part of it in order to return to normal. Just as she was going to sleep, the Cure spell from Tinarah hit her and she started to return. Her eyes were the pale yellow they usually were again and her body was healed of the Neoshadow's attack. She sat up and looked around, holding her chest and then arm. Her hand then slowly rubbed her chin and she started to feel tears come back. "I'm not usually so...s...so weepy...." she sniffled, not wanting to cry. But the tears came and she hit her fist onto the ground. "Why?! Why?! Why can't I just...just...." she stopped and looked away from Glyde. She saw Tinarah and started to feel the pain come back. "Why am I like this? Why did Illiana do that? All I wanted to do was help and she had to...to do that..." She got up and headed over to Tinarah, knowing that honestly, she was the best person to be with at the moment. At least Tinarah didn't exactly want to kick her in the jaw....right? As she made her way over, only a few shadows attempted to get in her way. She sliced them down and finally stopped next to Tinarah. "Do you have any idea why Illiana just...kicked me? I just wanted her to realize she's doing exactly the opposite of what she told me to do..." she spoke as loudly as she could to Tinarah. This magic was starting to annoy her at this point. "Tinarah, I just...I know this world is done for. It's too quiet now...it reminds me of something but I don't know what...like...I was taught about it? I don't remember I just...I'm confused...my head hurts..." she said this and held her head. "Oh and...thank you." She thanked Tinarah as a Cura went from Qamar's keyblade towards Tinarah. Ananta decided that healing was of importance, so she shot a Curaga at Aislinn. Ananta used Curaga on Aislinn!
Qamar got a kick to the jaw and fell down from the force. She laid there and looked deadpan at Illiana. The kick hurt but that was it. Nothing too bad and she honestly could walk it off. She stayed there and stared at the sky. She stared at the red moons and kept on staring until she finally stood up, her eyes more yellow than before. Oh how she wanted to go and crush Illiana and make her see the error of her ways. She wanted to show her that Qamar was not just somebody she could be messing with and not expecting some kind of retaliation. Illiana was long gone, but Qamar's rage still needed to be quenched. Wasting no time, she grabbed the nearest shadow and threw it as if it were a baseball at Illiana, hoping it'd hurt her. She then turned to see more shadows appearing before her, obviously not realizing that was a mistake. Qamar tore them to shreds with her keyblade, leaving behind nothing but wisps of darkness that soon disappeared. Once she was finished with the ones that returned, she stood there, keyblade in hand. All she could do was stare wide eyed towards where Illiana was, not moving, and not speaking. It was as if she were in some kind of trance. She turned her head to gaze around the field, finally locking eyes with Glyde. Oh how Qamar regretted saving Illiana. She stood up after the healing spell and looked at Tinarah. "Thank you, Tinarah. I need to deal with the girl who won't follow her own advice." she said. When she started after Illiana, she saw more and more heartless appear and attempt to attack her. At least she didn't have to worry about the bigger ones yet. It was much more satisfying to destroy the smaller ones anyway, since they were gone so easy. A tough one wasn't so bad, either. She just liked dealing with the small ones anyway. As she made her way over to Illiana, Qamar dealt with the heartless in the way and eventually stopped once the area looked safe for a moment. "He's not gonna hear you!" she yelled. "Besides, you should follow your own damn advice, crazy lady. What's the point going after somebody who clearly doesn't want a damn thing to do with you? Obviously they chose the person they chose, give up on them and move on. You'll feel better, believe me. I've cut ties before and I'm glad they're gone." She said this, expecting Illiana to be just as cheery as ever. "Also, no need to be such a jerk to people when you're supposed to be friends. Be nicer to people, princess, you'll be happier for it." Qamar chastised her, knowing Illiana probably didn't care. Though it didn't help she was curious about the girl anyway. The princess part was to just annoy her. Before Dentro could even retaliate, they were shot away from each other. Qamar tried to hold herself down, but found herself knocked away and against a wall. She hit her head and was knocked out as a trickle of blood seeped down her face. She awoke when the darkness had spread and the air grew thin. Qamar felt dazed and confused, not sure what happened, but she knew she wasn't fighting Dentro anymore and she knew he wasn't the cause of this. She reached up and put a hand on her face, wiping the blood off and licking her finger. "Hmph...." she went, noticing how silent it was. She looked about and saw glass shattering and thunder clapping, but she couldn't hear it. The darkness was thick and it reminded Qamar of something. She didn't feel like she didn't belong, but she didn't feel at home either. it was an odd sensation. Not wanting to get up immediately, she laid back against the wall and closed her eyes. She pressed her head with her hand and used a Cura spell, at least helping somewhat. She got up and dusted herself off, walking around a tiny bit before looking over to see a huge fire blast. She ran towards it, wondering if that was a comrade. She hopped and jumped over debris, finally seeing Illiana staring at the sky. Her eyes looked up and saw glass falling down. Noticing the fear on Illianna's face, she knew what was going on and she knew she had to do something. Her legs pushed her forward until she was able to jump towards Illiana, grabbing the girl and tumbling away as the glass started to rain down where they once were. Their bodies rolled over and Qamar ended up against a nearby piece of a building, holding Illiana against her tightly. She didn't let go immediately and just looked down at her. "A...Are you alright?" she yelled, noticing how it was barely heard, but she hoped Illiana heard her enough. Tears welled in Qamar's eyes from the realization that she almost witnessed her comrade's death and from the pain pouring through her body. HP: 22/50 AP: 58/58 MP: 20/30
Qamar's face had a wicked grin upon it after she saw Dentro use his keyblade armor. "Ooooh, keyblade armor. Wonder who gave you that, huh?" she chuckled, kind of upset she didn't have keyblade armor. After all, she probably should have had it by now, right? That was a question for later when she saw Master Kide again. "Adalric, dodge!" she yelled at the rather useless fellow student. She managed to jump up in time to avoid being torn to pieces, but she still received a little damage to her legs. The long stockings were now ripped here and there and that honestly made her mad. But at the same time, she was excited for the fight and she couldn't wait to give it her all. She landed only for a second nearby before propelling herself towards Dentro, her keyblade now back in it's normal form. Qamar got tired of the new form and wanted to see the old one again and she figured it wouldn't be more useful for what she wanted to do anyway. Qamar managed to get close enough to nearly grab at Dentro before she started off with a combo. She then followed it up with a kick to his side. Finally, she landed a Blitz towards Dentro, readying her keyblade to start guarding upon his retaliation. HP: 34/50 AP: 0/58 MP: 30/30
Ananta activated her Magic Aura! Ananta used a combo, taking advantage of Chaser from her Aura!
Qamar wasn't surprised that Tinarah didn't want to talk. Clearly she was upset about something deeply. Instead of chasing after her, Qamar shrugged and understood that, sometimes, you just need to vent your frustration on someone or something. In this case, Heartless were what was being vented on and she herself was having fun venting her own frustrations upon these poor creatures. Countless shadows fell to Qamar's blade and by now, she was growing tired fighting the creatures. Instead of worrying about them, she was more worried about her comrades. Looking over, she saw Boreas was doing fine and Illianna was as well. Once her eyes settled on Adalric, however, she saw him getting beat up with no way to actually retaliate. Instead of trying to ignore it, Qamar sighed and started to run over towards Dentro. "Fight somebody who can actually fight back, jerkwad!" she yelled at him, stabbing at him with her keyblade in rapid succession. Countless hours training got her ready for this sort of thing. She hoped it was all worth it. When Dentro launched his first attack at her, she jumped over it and hopped beside Adalric, standing tall next to her fellow student. "Sorry, can't let you get your a** handed to you this time." she said, a smirk drawn across her face. "You take care, I'll deal with this one...tch...not fair fighting somebody who can't fight back, huh?" Ananta pulled out a Mega Potion that she had this entire time and tossed it into the air. The bottle popped into four smaller bottles and showered her side of the party with health. Ananta used her Mega Potion.
Daeni followed Alder's lead and shot her own Blizzard spell at the Ria creature. Though she stayed back by the machine in order to hopefully not get hurt. For whatever reason, she was important now and she certainly didn't want to get killed over this. Her chest tightened and she gulped, wondering if maybe it was Marley's heart reacting to the situation. Whatever it was, she had to protect Marley's heart, no matter what. "Cerdic, I'm okay, just focus on Ria!" she called, having saw him look over at her. "I'm tougher than I look...." she muttered, holding her keyblade ready to launch a Reflect if the creature got any ideas. "How much longer?" she asked Alder, looking at him and then the reactor. "We can't hold out forever, you know."
I grew up on the NES in my early childhood (woo older sister born in the 80s!) so I can go that far back.
Qamar clenched her fists when Torrin flew off. She didn'tt like his answer, but what could she do? Qamar wanted to do more than always kill heartless and let others go do important things. She wanted to be more a part of the group and the fact that Torrin refused to even let her help angered her more. She eventually started to walk off when she heard Boreas barking orders at them. "This isn't an army!" she called out to him as she rushed towards heartless and started to slay them. They were just shadows, so they were easy to take down. She stopped and heard Tinarah go off on the blonde Chaser. Qamar saw the tears on Tinarah's face and she wanted to help her somehow. Before she knew it, her feet had carried her over to be near Tinarah as she continued to fight the Shadows that were appearing. "Tinarah, are you okay?" she asked, glancing over to her. "I'm not the best person, but...if you wanna get something off your chest, you can talk to me, okay?" she offered.
