I accidentally did M instead of N...and had to look up the exact date I joined..how sad.
All I can say is about time, that took way longer than it should have. Let's hope the bit about an economy boost is true too.
First off don't feel too bad, I'm my brother's older sister in my family and he's 5 years my younger. We had the EXACT same relationship: so-so when he was younger, then we definitely had our fair share of violent fights (I think once I threw him into a closet door that rolled on a track and I knocked it clear off said track). Now, if anything it's like that never happened. What probably stemmed our fights was that we were siblings of opposite gender, so it was very hard to find any common ground. Thank goodness I turned out more tomboyish than I thought I would. Anyway, what's going on could be a number of things, and none of them are directly your fault. You say she's going to college in half a year, so I'm assuming she's in her senior year of high school right now. She's probably stressed about her last year, and stressed about college, and needs something to vent at or be angry with, and you're the proverbial sandbag. She could also be jealous of you because you'll be still at home with your parents while she's away (I know I was when I left home), again through no fault of your own. Best advice I can give is to try and let her know that she can talk to you about whatever's bugging her, and let her know you're there for her. Whether she likes it or not, you're siblings for life. But letting her know that she's got someone willing to lend an ear might help her relieve her stress, if any. Another thing that could be done, which you might not like, is to just let her be alone for a bit. Sometimes people don't want to be harassed about their problems, so if you're always asking her what's wrong or why she's mad at you, it'll only get worse. You might be better off keeping your distance from her for a bit, especially if she thinks that you're the reason she's angry. Like I said, I'm willing to bet the stress of the college search and the coming graduation has made her antsy and freaked, and she can't think of a better way to handle it. Have you brought this up to your parents at all?
The Incredibles was on Disney XD this afternoon, so watched it for what has to be the umpteenth time. I love Pixar.
As is the norm, isn't it? "I'm retiring. I'm playing again. Now I'll retire. Ha, fooled ya, I'm still playing." I feel like he's really just doing it for attention...anyone else getting that vibe? Or to hope someone throws themselves at his feet and beg him not to retire?
I've only ever solved one once, and even then I think it took...2 weeks? I'd miss a turn or something and I would have to start over from my last move. Now, my friend (who I'll nickname Rizzar) solved them like a demon. She would solve them maybe 5 times in 20 minutes, and would drum on the table while we mixed it up for her.
Call Simon Cowell. That usually does it.
Only reason I had a Myspace was to catch the tweeny boppers stealing my art. Now I'm always on Facebook, and I have a Twitter to promote my DeviantART.
New England Patriots, but I'm slightly biased because that's my home team. I like Green Bay too...I don't care so much about Favre as I do about the team as a whole..they can be pretty good.
Pretty much anything that I once played on the Genesis or the N64, those are where most of my memories stem from.
My picks mean a bit more to me than just "ZOMG lieksocoolgame". 1. Columns - This I played on my Sega Genesis when I was just five. It was the first time I'd ever played a home video game; I had messed around with some of the classic cabinet arcade games at a local "playplace" (not the famous skater mouse; this one was a local business that sadly died before I entered elementary school. Amazing place it was. Way better than that place where a kid can be a kid, but that's due to personal memories and nostalgia),and is probably what turned me into the gamer chick I am now. Plus, that music was pretty awesome. LoZ:OoT - Like others have mentioned it is a groundbreaker of a game, but it's on my faves as the first video game I ever took seriously, trying to get it 100% complete. I didn't achieve that until my college years, but it's still the first game I've ever been able to that in. Super Mario 64 - This game is absolutely amazing. It was the first game for the N64, if memory serves right, but it's genius. I still haven't managed to get all of the stars in it yet, but I love how it turns into a party just watching one person play, like at my friend's last party, where it took us 25 minutes to try and beat the penguin sliding race (I was the only one who got close, but I walked out of the doorway instead of talking to the penguin. Oops)
Avvy: 7/10 Sig: 9/10 (I've been trying to figure out how to get a character or object in the background like that for years)
It's Complicated. That was a laugh a minute, if anyone here ever gets to watch it (it is rated R).
I think they are overusing it, to some extent. I can see it as a kind of "watermark" that stops people from recording the movie, but when everything out there is now being made in 3D it does get pretty old. I saw Toy Story 3 in 3D and to be honest, while the movie was good the 3D felt unnecessary.
Banjo-Tooie. I was on the Dive of Death in Witchyworld trying to get the Jiggy on the diving board, and fell off. But that's not how I died, oh no. I died trying to do a beak drill attack so I could land without taking any damage, but I was still too high up for it to work.
Drink a slushie for me. I was near one when I was on vacation, we pulled into one and thought about ordering but I guess none of us were in the mood for it.
Jolteon. Because I was on that Volkner run a while back.
I honestly laughed at the new costumes. I love the fact that Sackboy can now dress as an alien from Toy Story. Really adds to that toy box feel the first game had.
You could try seeing the doc like Friendly Heartless said, just to make sure it really isn't your thyroid. Until then, try these out to see if they help you any: *Don't do anything mentally stimulating before going to bed. Reading, writing, using the computer all make you focus mentally, which halts your brain from "shutting down" for the night. This might sound funny but try watching a boring TV show instead. You won't be able to focus for long, and you'll be sleepy soon enough. *Try light exercise, like stretching, before going to bed. This always helped me when I had trouble.
What Bushido said. You dwell on the past too much, you forget the present, and neglect the future. Yes, what happened was awful, and yes, you're going to feel guilty that you weren't there to help them, but unless you have the Tardis parked in your garage you're not going to be able to go back in time and fix it. Look at it as you being better prepared should the same situation happen again (which we all hope they won't).
