There are two games in the series and they're both for PS2. Neither is directly connected so you could play one or both with no trouble. They're great games and I would highly recommend them. :)

I think I utilised all of the characters apart from Quina. Just never really got into her style. My main party was usually Zidane, Steiner, Garnet & Ecko, and I would usually switch out Steiner for Vivi at times. Beatrix would've been awesome as a perma party member. ;-;

I think it's just that Ventus' heart residing within Sora (which is why Roxas looks like Ventus) allowed Roxas to just inherited a lot of Ven's personality/spirit along with his looks. I think Sora has always been the main vessel for Ven's heart.

Birth by Sleep - it has my favourite battle style of all the Kingdom Hearts games and I really enjoyed the story and how it was more sombre than the others. I also enjoyed the cast (Ven & Aqua!)
I voted for Child of Light - we need to see more of a rise in indie games and this one just looks really good. You don't usually see indie RPGs and the gameplay mechanics of this one seem solid.
Ahhh I love Dark Cloud! It's like one of my favourite games ever. I really liked the aspect of collecting all of the pieces of the towns and building them up. I was always excited to rush through all of the floors to see what different kinds of buildings there were and to talk to all of the new NPCs. It was very unique! My favourite character is definitely Ruby - I always go for the feisty femme fatalé characters. Plus her fighting style is friggin' awesome. CHARGED MAGIC BEAM TO THE FACE! c: I always used to get annoyed with the thirst meter when I was younger, and I'm glad that was taken out in DC2 (Chronicle for me). I love both games in the series and agree that they definitely need HD remakes. I've also been gunning for a sequel for quite a while. Get on it Level-5!
For anyone who doesn't know, this is a dungeon-crawler JRPG for the Vita. It has your usual 2D VN-type graphics for story sequences (with full voice acting) and for the most part you are running around first person in dungeons. Unlike most first person dungeon crawlers, you actually get to see your characters attack and such and the enemies aren't just static images that you slash at. In battle the players summon MINDs (Mental Inside Nobody Dolls) [stupid name] to fight for them. It clearly takes inspiration from the Persona series but without the dating sim elements. I think it looks pretty cool - I like the character designs as well as the summons and I hear the story is pretty good. I'm just excited to be getting more JRPGs for the Vita. The release date for NA is 15th May with no date for Europe as yet. Here's a trailer if anyone is interested; Thoughts / anyone else excited?
I'm actually a bit disheartened at this. The first three movies were great, and I originally thought it would be a trilogy, then they announced On Stranger Tides and I thought it would be a one-off prequel or something. Now it seems like it's going to be one of those series that are dragged out way too much and start becoming a joke (like Saw & Paranormal Activity). I didn't like OST and I probably won't look much into this one. Though I could be tempted if the lovely Keira Knightley reprises her role as Elizabeth. >_>
I'm really excited for this. I have a feeling it will be a new manga. I think it would be cool if it was in the same timeline as the original- like, directly after it or something where someone else gets the Death Note and with cameo characters from the series. I would actually like to see more of Nate. It would be cool with him as one of the main protags.
