The Drive System is Sora's unique power. Only Sora [and Roxas to an extent] can use it. Like it was stated earlier, Sora's heart can become stronger for the sake of his friends, and the Drive System gives us a physical representation of this. Sora gets braver, and physically stronger upon sacrificing Goofy. Sora gets smarter [lol], and more magically adept upon sacrificing Donald. There are some quirks in the Drive system, I can assure you, but none that suggest that the power to Drive is anyone else's but Sora's. Just like how Fatal Mode is Terra specific. I'm willing to bet each Keyblade wielder has their own unique power. Though, Riku was able to 'Drive' before Sora could, without a keyblade no less... Perhaps his was but a Reverse Drive?

... And um, to whoever said the 'Focus Bar' was what triggered Terra's Fatal Mode... You're wrong. It's the Command Gauge above the commands. The Focus Bar's function is as of yet unknown.

What I meant was, Roxas relied on his intellect. Which Sora hardly ever does. Whether it proves this theory or not, I do not know, but the fight against Roxas in FM clearly shows that Roxas was more skilled with the keyblades than Sora was at the time of the battle. You even get access to a new Drive Form after beating him.

... I fail to see how a 'war' could take place between only five people. Unless you're calling the final battle against Xemnas a 'war' also?
In Kingdom Hearts, there is one Keychain you always have, and one Keychain you never have, yet you always get both in the latter half of the game. Why is this?
I'd have to admit though, I'd do that whole "I found a keychain!" thing just to irritate Sora. But either way, the keychain itself is always something that triggers Sora's memories of that place. Kairi's Good Luck Charm, Auron's Sake bottle, Roxas's Charm, Cloud's Pendant thing. You get the idea.

I... think I understand what you're trying to say. Yet, Roxas was supposedly the first person to do this. He, who had no memories of friends to draw on, split his keyblade into two. Two keyblades he should NOT know about. I'm willing to bet that Roxas wasn't able to dual-wield until the events that happened at Castle Oblivion... Which would bring up an interesting point... Hmm... Seems like Roxas's story is important after all. And here I thought Days was just a gimmick.

Name's Erkz. Got it memorized? *bricked*

O-o-oi! Since when could we move around in the Dark Margin? I don't remember that ever happening!

    *slams fists on desk*

Such a thing is currently not possible!

... Why did you put all of Limit Form's limits? XDDD

Either way, each of them was useful in their own way, but I liked Limit Form's Strike Raid the best. I actually like Break Raid more, but it's not there, so yeah, STRIKE RAID! *tosses a keyblade*

Ooor... It could be symbolic of the time that passed while Sora slept? You do realize, he's sleeping while flying, right?

Meh, I don't care, really. So insignificant, a flying Sora. Might make a fangirl or two happy though. XD

Kinda old, but Roxas's sole existance proves this. He, who had not a heart to rely on, must have relied on something else, no?

... Oh, it's definitely real. Has a keychain and everything. And you should know, a Keyblader can choose if someone is able to wield their weapon or not. *Points at Sora going DW on Final Xemnas.*
So, I'm guessing that flowery keyblade is Riku's version of Oathkeeper - His memories of Kairi. IIRC, the keychain for that one key was a Paopu.

I dunno... The Keyblade Graveyard was said to be a remnant of the keyblade war, each keyblade representing a fallen keyblade wielder... And then, all the other Keychains weren't made like that, they were just memories and good-luck charms and stuff... Terra's key clearly has a place to attach a keychain, but no keychain to attach to it.

*Shrugs* What I want to know is how it's possible to -split- a keyblade. Nomura said when Sora drives, and Roxas also, he -splits- the keyblade in order to dual-wield. I honestly, don't get that part. How is that possible? I mean, Terra shows it's possible to malform a keyblade to fashion many weapons, but to be able to split the keyblade into two completely different keyblades? Not even Star Wars logic explains that.

The keyhole is known by those who need to. *points at Triton*
It's usually the omnipotent one from the story. In this case, Genie.

Objection! Your objection is objectionable! Opinion =\= Evidence.

Wrong. You buy a square game, you expect to get your money's worth.

... He was a character designer, not director. If anything, I blame Musashi's quirky attitude on him.

    Eh? I just said I wasn't hating on them. -_-;;;

Eh, I'll see. Playing turn-based RPGs has been feeling like a chore lately... No idea why...

Or he shot him, grabbed Ven, and held him suspended in the air in a chokehold, yelling "LEAD MEH INTA EVERLASTIN' DARKNESS!"

    Not.

... Seems you've chosen the path of darkness also. I cannot see what your point regarding this is.

... *Throws a cup of boiling hot coffee at you.*
Hold it right there, Trite. Your contradictions stand out like the bitterness of freshly brewed coffee. You've even contradicted yourself in that statement.

Aw, and I was having so much fun too... *shrugs and takes the branch, then tosses a pack of chocolate chip cookies at him.*
Cookies make better peace offerings. It's a well known fact. XD

Come now, surely you don't believe that...

Wrong. Nomura is the Director. As in, he IS Square's representative for the game. Any references toward 'The Company' with regards to any game directed by him must be directed at him also. [Heh, the silly pun of being a director.] He oversees EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING must go through him. HE is the one who calls the shots with regards to the Kingdom Hearts games. That's what it means to be director. Square cannot simply 'override the director's descisions'. They risk all their profits in the process.

*Chuckles* Alas, I seem to see your problem. Another game which was not directed by Tetsuya Nomura. Stop mismatching directors, will you? Either way, you seem to be getting off track. We're not talking about bosses that pop out of nowhere at the last minute. We're talking about the Kingdom Hearts plotline. Specifically that of Birth by Sleep.

... Hahaha... HAHAHA... I can't hate something I've never played, now can I? Either way, I don't see what you mean by "Pre-Nomura Final Fantasy". If you are referring to before he became a Character Designer for the series, then... I still wouldn't know. Because, TN was a character designer on FF6, and I cared little for Kefka's crazed antics. So it's not like I'm hating on early FF's because of it's Nomuralessness.

Or he wanted to know how to use the power of darkness to defeat both the Dark Soldier and Xehanort? Hmm?

Truly? Interesting. I've never played them. I came up with that response on the spot. Hahaha...

Either way, something interesting I found transcribed.
o_O Well now... What have we here...? They both kick the crap out of him. Amusing, is it not?

Chaser could be something, it could be someone. It could be nothing, it could be everything.

The term is too vague for any real reading into just yet. We may as well come to understand it after playing BBS.

Or must I remind you how trivial the phrase "We shall go together" was from the Deep Dive video?

Such is the method of speculation, my good sir.

... Okay, seriously, if you make ONE more reference to a game that WASN'T directed by Tetsuya Nomura, I'm going to have to look at you in a different light. Final Fantasy is BY FAR, THE MOST GENERIC J-RPG SERIES ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET. EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DONE, UN-DONE, RE-DONE AND DONE SOME MORE BY THE FINAL FANTASY SERIES. And not only by the FF series. Every single J-RPG pits you against against some threat to the world and you have to stop it. The only one that doesn't directly do this is Disgaea, and yet you end up doing it anyway, just to prove how badass you are. So honestly, before you make any more comments about 'recycled plotlines', just take a glance at how many RPGs exist besides Final Fantasy, and you'll realize what the point I'm making is. The goals are not necessary - they are apparently set in stone for all J-RPGs. What is important, is the means. How the story is told. We don't CARE if the last boss is some giant hoobajoob we have to take down; heck we already know we have to take down a giant hoobajoob. We. Want. To. Know. WHY.

... Do you feel ill? Xehanort's Heartless didn't exist til 10 years after BBS. How could he convince Terra of something Maleficent is supposedly supposed to convince him of?

Most definately. However, he who accepts both light and darkness will always be able to see the path forward, and will always have someone watching his back.

Yes, they're friends. Riku and Axel helped Namine escape from DiZ if I'm not mistaken.

    Odd? Yes. Irrelevant? Most certainly.

There isn't. Riku's heart didn't run for cover in Sora's body. It simply existed in the Dark Realm by itself, and encountered Mickey.

How would Mickey and Riku meeting in the Dark Realm impact on Number VIII's life? It's not like they were plotting his death or something.

... Saix never was concerned any more about Sora than he was about Donald or Goofy. All he saw him as was a means to his end, namely 'Kingdom Hearts', and, as such, when Axel threatened that means, he sought to eliminate that which threatened said means, namely Axel. Simple as that.
