you HAVE to burn it onto a blank DVD. it's not even an option to burn it into the original because you can't write on it. as long as it's an ISO and you make sure to burn the ISO onto a blank DVD it should work as long as you have some way of playing backups and imports.

actually, i don't think you need to use a Master Code for an emulator. as for why they aren't working, i don't really know since i don't have a clue whether the issues are with the codes or with how you're trying to use them.

you will also need some way to play import games, i recommend Swap Magic though they are hard to find nowadays. they are currently being sold on Amazon, and if you really wanted to buy it, do it quickly because Swap Magic goes fast on Amazon and they don't come back up for months. also, in order to apply the patch you need a DVD burner (you can't apply a patch to an original game disc).

i myself have a tendency to look down on people who are constantly drinking and getting wasted so i think i know where you're coming from. i try not to get to judge others too much because i know there are things about me that i would appreciate others not to judge as well. i do think you're being overly judgmental but i do understand the concern you have for your friend. i had a friend who started hanging out with a different crowd and he became a total poser. our friendship became a little strained because i was always asking him stuff like "why do you talk like an idiot?", "why do you misspell words on purpose?", or "why do you wear your pants below your a$$?" and it caused our friendship to plummet because of the way i berated him about it. i found myself becoming annoyed with him and he started becoming uncomfortable around me. he eventually grew out of it (i guess it was just a phase or something), and we're good friends again, but those 2 years were very awkward and i wish i didn't judge him so much for acting that way. don't get me wrong, i still think he was acting like an idiot, but i don't think i should've been so "in your face" about it.

so i don't think you should stop being friends with this Catherine just because she does certain things you don't approve of, especially since you haven't actually witnessed this behavior yourself. i know it's hard to not judge, but make an extra effort to keep an open mind.

i've tried it and it is GREAT!!! i realize it's not finished yet but this work in progress is very well done! i haven't stumbled into any Japanese text whatsoever, and even the NPC and old cutscenes are translated as well. like chessplayerjames pointed out, i did notice a few graphical glitches as well, but i can ignore them because they really are minor. i noticed some words that aren't capitalized that should be such as "Two become one" should be "Two Become One but just a minor thing. i recommend everyone to use this patch!

this is AWESOME NEWS!!!!! i can't wait to try it out, i'm actually downloading it right now and setting it up.

i've done it before, it's actually not too bad as long as everyone else is doing the same. the downside is no 3 month summer vacation but if i remember correctly, you get a 2 week break every 2 months so you have a lot of vacation time.

instead of telling us this stuff, you should be saying it your friends and family. i want you to tell them "i want to die, i want to kill myself", and then you'll see all the reasons you shouldn't. you're looking for the easiest way to die, one that's painless? well, even if it's painless for you, i guarantee it won't be painless for the people close to you, you're hurting other people as well, even if you don't know or don't mean to.

i updated the first post with it, it's in an attachment. credits to Osmand Neuron of PSPGen. i tested it and it works.

actually, i have tried hacking that code, but it didn't go well. i thought i would know how the code would work but i could never really figure it out.

it could be a typo, but the fact that there are so many misspelled words in the post makes me think it isn't. the reason that makes me think that is that i seriously doubt anybody can misspell that many words unless they did it on purpose, no one makes that many typos.

i feel this is the best romhack for Birth by Sleep so far: the translation patch for BBS FM made by truthkey which is found here:

not entirely sure either but i think the cutscene was rendered while they were running BBSFM since all the animations are in there. that's what i think anyway.

the explanation truthkey provided was that the Dream Drop Distance trailer was most likely rendered on a PSP rather than a 3DS. that makes sense because when the trailer came out, the 3DS didn't even exist yet.

yea, they could add quite a lot of assist only characters, i'm surprised they haven't though.

i like Fang as well, though for Cid, i don't even remember there being a Cid at all XD

it definitely would be, though i can't think of any character that would fit in. there aren't really any memorable villains to add.

also, checked the PSN Store today and it has LOTS of new DLC stuff for this game :D

i think it would've been better as a PS2 or PS3 game too actually. the end result was fine though, but i always prefer console games to portable. the reason being that portability has never been a selling point for me, in fact i play my portable games on a chair at home and would much rather playing games on TV whenever possible. though, the Mirage Arena co-op play was a good result that came from the PSP, i don't think it would've been possible to handle it well on a console system (well the PS3 has online play but i prefer playing with people i know).

i like this idea actually. i wouldn't be surprised if the first game to be remastered was God of War games since they always seem to sell well. i'm hoping for Birth By Sleep and possibly Dissidia Duodecim.
