I'm critical of hard modes in general but KH's in particular, so I say normal for all of the games. The trouble is that the games don't take into account that you'd think of playing hard mode right off; they're not designed around that experience, and so they occasionally fail to teach you things in that mode that you would've learned easily in normal. Little things, subtle things, like the size of an attack's hitbox or the best way to avoid a projectile. Things where you'd need time to test different approaches, make mistakes, learn what works and what doesn't. Not so easy when a few hits will kill you. The only one I'd say maybe easy mode on would be Days, since even on normal it has a fair bit of growing pains. But I never found it so bad I wanted to restart, so I couldn't say for sure.
In KH in particular? Nah, I'm pretty selfish. I really only heal my party members when I need them for something. Not necessarily because I'm hoarding my MP, but because as soon as I heal them they tend to get hit again, sometimes knocked out. The returns are all the more discouraging when I have to revive them repeatedly from K.O. status. This is KH1, mind you. In KH2 and onward they either got incidentally healed when I healed myself with Cure, or they didn't get healed at all.
To account for the unfilled player list (and my own computer problems), the sign-up deadline has been bumped back to August 6th. Apologies to everyone who's eager to start, but if you want to kick it off sooner then you can always help me recruit players :L

Without spoiling too much, Traverse Town is a special case. The rest of the worlds aren't really separate versions per se, and most of Sora and Riku's respective escapades in each either don't overlap at all or complement each other.
