Not to potentially rain on any parades, and I do not know the specifics of this at this time, but aren't some Playstation Classics currently not available on newer Sony devices. I remember being quite furious that the original Spyro series of PS1 games were not available to be played on the Vita. It was leaked sometime after the Vita's release (I do not know the specific date) that those games were available (specifically Crash games as well as the spyro trilogy) for a few days, and were swiftly taken down (and potentially removed from people's download list on the Vita). One can assume that this is some form of licensing issue or something, so if that is the case, would Crash Team Racing even be available to be played on the PS4 if PS1&2 classics were made available? I have my doubts, unfortunately.

This could be a Vita only thing, and I truly hope it is.

While I find the whole petition thing to be a tad silly (as the chances of it having any sort of real impact on Nintendo is laughably low). I also don't think the petition itself nor those who made it are an issue. I find it a tad silly that Cloud of all characters was picked, as his history with Nintendo barely exists. That being said, as a marketing power play, Nintendo picked the right character. A lot of people love FFVII, and due to the nature of popularity, there are a lot of people who don't. That's pretty much all you need in terms of marketing, people are going to talk about it.

I don't think people should be making a huge deal about this per say, however there is nothing wrong with disagreeing with it (not saying you think or say this, just rambling).

I'm not sure exactly what you were trying to do, but don't feel bad. In the description of the video you mentioned that the 60 FPS is your reasoning for making it seem like KH2.5 HD. Thing is, frame rate is good and all, but it isn't going to make the game look like something with higher resolution textures. It might feel better to play, but that doesn't necessarily make it "HD".

It looks like emulated KH2, actually it looks slightly worse than that tbh.

I feel the opposite, it's less "wow I can't believe all this time has past". Its more that I can't believe I ended up visiting forums at such a young age. At least it explains the cringy posts WHICH HAVEN'T CHANGED

The unrealistic body image thing doesn't effect everyone. To those whom it does effect there are certainly issues. A 12 year old (gender really doesn't matter here) seeing someone with a very muscular body, or one with almost no body fat could mess with their own self image or self esteem. However, a fair point should be made that nobody can give you self esteem/worth. If that is the case, then why do we allow other people to take it away? The porn industry, or all the other things that unfortunately effect some people mentally is probably never going away. So we should focus on what can be changed (or rather what can be more easily effected). How about teaching children/young adults that your body image doesn't matter unless it happens to be a part of a business path you choose to pursue? That's fair, and sure this won't work for everyone, but when it really comes down to it...self esteem is something that is decided by the person who has (or lacks it).

For instance, in high school I wasn't really happy with my body. Through the various health conditions I had, this made exercise quite the bitch to do. So my self esteem was in the tank. Over time, I learned that I shouldn't really care what other people think about me. I am not a model, never will be. So the way my body looks doesn't matter in the slightest. So I stopped worrying about it.

I know this is something that a lot of people really don't like to hear. However, when you go deep into the culture of modeling, or body building for example, people talk about how there is a lot that you can control. With hard work (actual hard work, which in this day and age seems to have a skewed definition to it) you can eventually reach your bodies maximum potential. However, that means that you could end up losing out to somebody else who just had better genetics than you. So I think the problem isn't that certain industries are painting "unrealistic" pictures (metaphorically speaking) of what a person can look like. I am pretty sure the problem lies in the importance that those pictures (again, metaphor) are given.

If someone tells me that some victoria's secret billboard takes away the self esteem of millions of young girls every day. I am not denying that. If you take away the billboard, however, that doesn't fix the problem. There is always going to be someone who is better than you in some way. Sometimes its knowledge, sometimes its genetics, sometimes its how they manage their body. That is a rough fact of life. How about we just stop caring about what other people look like??? It really isn't that hard. I see these advertisements too, and do I give a crap about how big this girl's boobs are or how small of a stomach she has? No. When I see muscular guys who are more attractive than I am, do I feel bad? No. Fact is, nobody can give you that confidence, or rather nobody can give you the ability to accept yourself and we really need to stop acting like that is how the world works.

Another example. I went through 10 years of playing trumpet and being the best in my grade throughout my schooling, and I almost never practiced. I was just naturally good at it, and when I did practice (which I did more towards the end of my playing "career") I achieved quite a lot. So is my genetic predisposition to be talented at music fair? No. Is life going to be fair in every single way? Hell no. Sometimes you need to work harder than the next person, and that sucks, but that is just how it is.

note: this is a lot of rambling and may or may not be entirely related to your post. So if you are like...wow luxord is mean to me. Nah I am just rambling, we cool.

Thing is, sex sells and it always sold, and it most likely always will. With that being said, if someone who is under age is sexualized, that is wrong. I don't really think this is a debatable topic.

However, if a game sets out to be sexualized, and it isn't with children, I see no faults in it. If you don't like it, don't support it and when the demand for it diminishes, you win. I don't see that really happening, which is why I think complaining about "x" or "y" character being sexualized is a waste of time. If that is going to be the route a game dev goes, they are allowed to. I find it funny how we freak the fuck out over boobs, but we don't give a crap about murder in our games.

I get that there are people out there who feel uncomfortable when a certain character is depicted a certain way, but if that is the case, the best course of action is to avoid it. I've always thought that video game creation is an art form. It's like if I complained about mona lisa not being insert race here. That's just silly.

Again, if it is someone of questionable age. Eff that. That is gross and wrong. However I don't see how unrealistically large boobs are any better or worse than the thousands of people we slaughter in video games every day. The usual comeback to that is that the people aren't real. So if they aren't real and we don't care about them being murdered....why do we care about how they look (from a "this is right or wrong" POV)?

Someone wanting to dictate how Nintendo does their business is just as stupid and someone wanting to dictate someone else's opinion.
