The moment Akira responded, Hunter stopped making out. A party member was trying to flee the battle, that just wasn't allowed. Especially their ogrelord. As he headed off in the direction Akira had left in, his body faded away, using his power of invisibility. It didn't take him long to catch up to her, she seemed to be looking for something in particular but he was just looking for a person. He got just a few feet in front of her and stopped, where he allowed his invisibility to fade away and he stood still with his arms crossed, like he was some spiritual god or some crap like that. "'Scuse me, did you not hear the part about goddess going out of control and us needing a hero? You are needed, you can't just abandon the party like that, that's not how it works" Hunter said, giving his voice an echoey effect so that it sounded far more impressive. However, he sighed. He was going to have to be serious, like not even kidding around or anything so he could try to convince her. He had to make it seem like he cared about anyone other than himself. Damnit, that was going to be difficult. He cleared his throat. How was he going to manage this? He had to speak like Caleb, yeah Caleb was a good guy...usually. He was all about save people, save the worlds and all that crap. "Akira, people are in danger. The goddess has been abusing her power, and people have been suffering for it, but she doesn't care. She just stands by and watches, not ever doing anything to help. We're trying to find the hero, so that people can be safer and the world will be a better place. The hero's legend has been passed down for many years now, and he's said to be able to surpass even the goddess in power. This island, aside from yourself, seems uninhabited, don't let the other worlds become like that too. We can do something, we can make a difference, and we can keep people safe, but we can't do it alone. We need you, we need you to stand up and fight for what is right, will you help us?" Hunter asked. Damn this being nice thing was so boring and unoriginal. He hated it.
Gaius used Fire on Boreal
"They weren't all taken from the forest" Zane said, now sitting properly in his chair instead of rocking in it. "Skadi Wynter, she went missing about eight years ago. My sister. I lived on the outskirts of town, which is probably why you haven't heard of her. She tended to keep to herself. They say your brother choked on a chicken bone, but I didn't even get that. I was told to leave it. No consolation, no offer to help pay for funeral costs, nothing. Just to leave it. I woke up one night to hear someone walking around in the house, but by the time I got to her room she'd already been taken. All I heard from her was the screams, the screams that echoed through the night from the moment she was taken until the moment she was gone. She hasn't been seen since" he explained. He looked at Ace now. "Ace is all I have left of her. Sorry to interrupt your singing, it really is quite extraordinary, I just figured the more we know about whoever took them, the better" he said. The friendly tone he had been speaking in had all but vanished, replaced by one that was quieter and more serious.
"His name's Ace. Had him for a while now. In fact, he was a gift from my sister. I might swing by and listen to you sing if you sound like that, I don't really have anything else to do anyway" Zane responded. He took a seat inside, and couldn't help but laugh at Jay's reaction to Serenity. The guy was obviously awestruck by her, but damn he did not do well to hide it. "Smooth, real smooth" he replied to Jay, before deciding to do what Jay hadn't done; actually respond to what Serenity had said. "Can't speak for the gawker, but I'm here to find out what happened to my sister. She's been missing for a long time, and it's time that changed" the boy responded. He leaned back casually in his chair and held out his arm out in front of him. Recognising the cue, Ace hopped from his shoulder down his arm, and Zane then lowered his arm to the table and allowed the little bird to hop off of his arm and onto the desk.
As Zane Wynter walked through the halls of the school, he glanced through the doorways of many of the classes, interested in the after school clubs that happened. There wasn't many of them, but he was looking for one in particular. The Strange Occurrence Investigators Club, bit of a lengthy name but it explained what it was there for. Zane wasn't sure what to think of it really, was he ready to know the truth? His sister had vanished many years ago, and yet he could still hear her screams as clearly as if they had happened that very day. He missed her, and though it had happened a long time ago he still felt guilty about it, so he supposed that was why he was there. Maybe if he knew what had happened, then he could finally move on with his life. He heard a little chirp snap him out of his thoughts from his shoulder. He glanced to his right shoulder with a little laugh, seeing his pet bird, Ace, simply standing there. "Relax, we'll find it. It should be around here somewhere, can't be that hard, right?" he asked, scratching the little bird's head with his finger as he kept walking. He stopped quickly at the sound of a voice coming from somewhere nearby. It was singing, but it wasn't like most people he heard sing. No, this one was actually pretty damn good. His mind not entirely on the classroom for the moment, he began walking towards the sound of the voice. In just a minute, he found the source of it. Conveniently enough, the person who was singing was in front of the classroom he had been searching for, as was another guy there. "See? Told you we'd find it" Zane said to his little bird friend before approaching the two. "Strange Occurrence Investigators Club, is this the place?" he asked, before seeing the number on the door. "Yup, sure is. Hey, i'm Zane" he said, introducing himself to Jay. However, the girl that had been singing still had his attention. "I've seen you somewhere before....coffee shop? You work there, right? Didn't know you could sing, pretty damn well at that" he complimented, before walking past the two and into the classroom.
With a groan, Shane stood up. He didn't have much of a choice. If he didn't go, Mai would be subjected to more torment, and it would be because of him. He left the cell and walked out with a yawn. He had no idea of the time, but surely it had to be late, was she really going to continue experimenting on them all night? Then again, with a personality like Isabella's he doubted she ever stopped until she had what she wanted. Wandering back to the room they were in earlier, he saw things exactly as he had expected, with Mai still locked down and Isabella still focused on her testing. "Alright, I'm here. I'm not doing anything more to Mai, though, but I'll help with your damn test" the boy said reluctantly. Lucas watched Colton and Carter enter the arena. He had heard what Kye said, had heard Lyle's justification, but he wasn't buying it. Carter was just a kid, how powerful could he possibly be? "I'm beyond the point of simply asking now, Lyle. Since you won't listen to me personally, I'm going to have to invoke authority. You know where I'm from, you know who I have contact with, and you know that I could close this place down at a moment's notice. It would be a shame to have to mess up so much research, so I hope it doesn't come to that. However, if you put me in there, I won't breathe a word to anyone outside of here. If you need the kid in there, keep him in there, but he needs someone inside to ensure his safety, so for gods sake let me in there" Lucas demanded. He held his gun at the ready, hoping that Lyle made the right choice.
As Dane leaped into action, he noticed that Alisia wasn't moving. This wasn't good. "If there is light inside of me, then it's buried under centuries of pain and suffering, so that'll take a while to get rid of, and you won't get to see it if you're dead, so get moving!" he called out as he swung at the Darkside with his scythe. The heartless ignored him, lunging forward with one of its huge arms and slamming its fist into the ground right at Alisia. He glanced behind him in time to see Alisia get out of the way, and continued his assault. He dove from where he was and threw his scythe at the Darkside, causing the weapon to become stuck in the arm, but the creature did pull away. Instead, it recoiled and stood up straight. It seemed to concentrate for a moment, before releasing a ball of dark energy into the sky, which then exploded, causing many smaller ones to rain down upon the shadow reaper and his slave. He didn't check on Alisia this time, focusing on getting his scythe back, but then he heard a scream and he turned his head to look in her direction. She'd conjured the barrier that he had taught her earlier, and that had saved her. Well, at least she listened. "It won't survive for long, keep it up!" Dane called out to Alisia, before he leaped up and grabbed onto the scythe sticking out of the heartless' arm. He hung off it for a moment, simply dangling in mid-air, until he pointed his free hand at the head of their opponent and he fired off a dark purple ice bomb, using Dark Blizzaga. The icicle crashed straight into the darkside's face, and then Dane used the moment of distraction to rip out his scythe from their enemy and fall to the ground. Immediately after that, it attempted to slam its fist into Dane. He smirked, knowing it was far too slow to hit him, and simply dodge rolled out of the way as the colossal fist impacted with the ground only metres from himself. This was his opportunity, and he knew it, leaping onto the arm and beginning to run towards it. His feet moving swiftly, he arrived to the face in mere seconds. His scythe glowed with the power of darkness as Dane lashed out with it, slashing clean across the heartless' eyes before he leaped off of where he was, landing safely on the ground moments later. Hunter nodded in response to Gwen's question about whether they should make out or not, however it was evident that it didn't actually matter whether or not he agreed because she was going to do it anyway. And so he gave in and began making out with Gwen, the situation becoming so hot that the very air began swirling around them and intensifying in heat, due to his power of exaggeration. And there he would remain until such time as MoK moved his characters into position of Gwen simply stopped.
As Dane walked, he thought of what Alisia had said. She hadn't received a hug since her parents died, one of the first things she had brought up were her parents' death. And he'd gloated about it. Dane didn't know what losing parents was like; his father had died before he was born, and his mother...well, his opinion of his mother was low enough he only wanted to see her death. It was damn obvious his slave was hung up on her parents being dead, and if she was always thinking of that instead of concentrating on her training then that could pose a problem. This girl, for all the trouble he had caused her and all the suffering she had gone through, was being nice to him. She reminded him of how Maddie had been, in a sense. He remembered their first meeting, the way he had insulted her and threatened her but she'd had none of it, no she had seen right through him. That was how he'd been back then. Now he was flowing with so much darkness there was no turning back. What would she think? What would Maddie say if she could see him now? He tried not to think about it. If Alisia was going to be like that, though, then he at least owed it to her and his old friend to keep her safe. She was his slave, but on some level he trusted her. His plans hadn't changed, and she would die eventually, but she would be one of the last. But to do that, she would need to be able to focus, she'd need to let go of the past, not entirely but enough that she could concentrate on other things. To let it go completely, she would either have to forgive Dane or he would have to be dead, and neither was very likely, but he could help her start, and make a start on her training. "I've fought enough people to know that isn't true. The darkness doesn't outright grant powers, it brings out the person's potential. You can cast magic, you just won't allow yourself to. You're wrong about me having light inside of me, but maybe I'm not as dark as I thought. I've never been good with apologies, but I think I have a way to repay you anyway" Dane explained. He stepped back and began channeling immense dark energy. His body began glowing with a dark purple aura as he concentrated intensely, his eyes glowing the same colour as the aura. After about thirty seconds of pure focus, he thrust his hands forward, and a large purple orb appeared. The orb was much, much bigger than either Alisia or Dane, and after a very short time it vanished, leaving in its wake a Darkside. Not turning to look at Alisia, Dane held his scythe ready. "This creature is one I used when I was attacking Charter's Rise, your homeworld. If it wasn't for this one, many more would have survived. I left it alive because I needed it to do the same to other worlds, but I can't do things that way. Not anymore. She wouldn't want it this way, so this heartless is going to die. I can't defeat this alone, Alisia; I haven't recovered from the battle in the great forest yet, haven't rested. We can doom it, but I don't want you to. I want you to see that you can do this, that you are stronger than you believe, and then help me. If you kill this, then you have spared many worlds from the fate of your own, and I may not want that, but right now I'm not entirely against it, now do it!" the shadow reaper shouted, emotions flaring. He placed Maddie's keyblade on the ground and began running at the Darkside, ready to fix one mistake he had made. As Hunter reverted back into his regular form and stopped his laughter, a terrible realization set in. He had the power of Absolute Hearing, and what he heard...well, it wasn't good. Actually, in a way it was good, and that was the problem. "My Sapphire, one of the antagonists is becoming a good guy, what the actual fuck?!" Hunter exclaimed, probably saying exactly what the other people in LVD were thinking. He walked over to Gwen and Akira. "Okay, Ginger, I never thought I'd say this but I'm glad you don't have a soul. Character development is not your kinda thing. No, your kinda thing is making sandwiches am I right?" Hunter asked, turning around with his hand ready to high five someone, only to realize he was the only male there. Damn, so that was why he had hung around Lucien and Beuce. He shook his head. "Okay, hero finding time. Since this is a cave and Shrek has never heard of the hero or the goddess, my money is on the hero not being here. So, lets go group with MoK's characters. Damn, that's gotta be the first time someone has remembered them...then we'll go pretend to search, fight the boss, and we can leave. Sounds good? Alright, lets go!" Hunter declared, walking out of the cave and towards wherever the hell Zephyr was.
As Gwen told Hunter to come search for the hero, he began walking over to her. However, he had only taken a couple of steps when he noticed there was this strange noise coming whenever he walked, like some kind of squelching noise. That was weird, it was like his feet were waterlogged. Looking down, he knew immediately what his power was by the skin tone. He had been turned into a Simpson. He found that a little too amusing, knowing how bs even they were, and he let out a small laugh. What came out of his mouth was not his regular laugh, but rather one that made it sound like he belonged in a mental asylum. "Ging-" he began before the change completely set in. Dear Sapphire he was Spongebob. And if he was going to be spongebob, he needed patrick. Fortunately, this place was full of rocks that were exactly like Pat's. He held out a hand. "Stand back! If there's one thing sea creatures have, it's finger strength!" he declared, his fingers changing shape slightly as though each one were tiny arms and flexing their awesome muscles. The finger-arm-bodybuilder things then latched onto the rock and Huntbob pulled with all his might. He strained, beads of sweat appearing and then being absorbed into his sponge-like body, and then eventually it happened. His arms fell off, simply attached to the rock as it fell to the ground with a thud. He glared at them. Who needed them anyway? He focused, his eyes twitching as though he had been constipated for centuries, and two new arms grew in to replace the others. He shook his head and turned away, before hearing a tiny scream and looking down to see a small, pink splotch on the ground. He'd killed Patrick. Immediately, Huntbob began crying, a bucket magically appearing in front of him as he used it to fuel his tears. He continued this for just a moment, and then he stared at the bucket. This was all that remained of his friend. It was too much, and Huntbob's mind snapped. He began running around and around in circles around the bucket, making one noise over and over again. Caleb listened to all that was said. If what was said was true, and he really was from another realm, then the chances of him knowing the hero were practically nonexistent. Even so...Caleb couldn't bring himself to simply leave the man to fend for himself. The guardian couldn't imagine simply watching as a disease wiped out everyone he knew and cared about, and the thought of losing Audrey aswell.. "I'm sorry for your loss. There's nothing I can do to help you, but the person we are looking for is a hero said to rival the goddess herself in strength. I have no doubt the goddess could cure the Scrawl, but the hero...well, the hero may not only be able to cure it, but he might be able to wipe it out entirely so that no more have to suffer" Caleb stated, thinking. Standing around was going to accomplish nothing though, so he released the magic on his blade, causing it to vanish as he grabbed Audrey's hand and began leading her down the hall. "There's no cave here, and this ship doesn't seem to be making much progress. I'd like to take a quick look around first, but I don't think we should spend more time than is necessary here" he explained. Dane lowered the keyblade and held it by his side, clutching it tightly. Alisia could understand Maddie's view, but she was wrong. That side of Dane had died a long, long time ago. She was wrong about nobody having the right to anybody's life, too. He did. He could, and would, kill everything. He was about to tell her so, but she then volunteered herself to the darkness. She was willing to help him, willing to subject herself to that pain, despite everything he was and everything he had done? For a brief moment, he contemplated opening a dark corridor and telling her to go back to Xander and the others, but he decided against it. For all the niceness she was suddenly showing, she was still his slave. Instead, he crouched down to her level and held out his right hand. It hovered in front of her, just as it had before he had injected her with darkness before, and then he reached towards her chest and began manipulating the dark once more. This process lasted for just a minute, before he stopped and he sighed. He wrapped his arms around Alisia in a hug, fully aware she could take his life with the keyblade if she really wanted to. He hadn't put more darkness into her, he'd taken out what he had put in her before. "I'm the one filled with darkness, and that's the way it's going to stay" he said quietly, before letting her go and standing up straight again. "I took out the darkness I put into you before, but you probably felt that already. You won't be able to use the magic you were already using, but don't think for a moment you're going to stop training. I'll teach you to fight, but with your own abilities, not mine" Dane stated. He picked up his scythe and Maddie's keyblade once more and took a few steps forward before glancing back at Alissia. "Oh, and Alisia? Nobody has heard me speak like that before and survived until now. Don't make me change that" he said, voice incredibly serious as he spoke.
As the club hit Gexln's head, he let out a tiny growl. "Yeah well she's gotta get her priorities straight. Alcohol over all! She-" the shadow dragon slayer started, before turning to see the club coming at him again. Acting quickly, his body became exceptionally dark in colour and Gexln seemed to fade away, his body becoming that of a shadow. "Alright then Quinn, you want to go? Then lets go!" he shouted as the shadow veered to the side of Quinn and Gexln became tangible once more, his arms dark as the night itself as he lashed out with his Shadow Dragon's claw.
Tobias let out a yelp as the kick connected with his knee, forcing it to give way. The pain felt good, his lips curled into a grin as he began standing up, but immediately he was on the ground again, writhing and wriggling around as he was hit by the taser. Oh it hurt, it hurt so much, but eventually to his disappointment it stopped. He found himself unable to focus at all, but he wasn't going to allow himself to stop. He'd made himself a promise, and though she didn't know it he'd made a promise to Cynthia, too. No amount of guns pointed at him would stop him, and this thought didn't change when Walter pointed a gun at him. This was how he'd always felt, this is where he belonged. He'd never been a part of Raven Sun, not really, just an enemy waiting to strike from within, that was how he was sure the others saw him. As some kid, pretending to be something he wasn't. And then Jason walked in. He called Tobias stupid, he told him how he was outmatched, about how he was in no mood for his games. Well, that was lucky, Tobias wasn't in the mood for games either. "You know Jason, I piss people off on a daily basis, and I kill people without thinking twice. I gamble, I only recently stopped doing drugs, and nobody trusts me as far as they could throw me. But you know what? At least I don't throw those I care about in prison. So she attacked you, big whoop. Look around, we're all killers here, one little fight isn't going to screw you over. How is locking her up like some dog going to teach her to play nice? It'll make her want to kill more. I think it's clear who is the idiot here" he stated, before the grin widened slightly on his face, looking almost like a large smirk at that point. Oh, he was pushing it, but he wasn't done yet. No, he was going to make Jason realize the truth, make him suffer internally. "Go ahead and kill me, it'll only prove my point. You could kill me a thousand times over, but it isn't going to bring her dead mother back. You act like you care for her so much, but just think about this for a moment; the ******* that is here laying on the ground is the one trying to help her, the one trying to do what's best for her. The guy you seem to think is the worst guy ever for her is going to get her out, and her loving, caring father? He'd sooner kill her rescuer before he allows someone to make her happy. You are a coward, Jason, and you always will be" Tobias hissed, before crying out in pain as he stood up. It took everything he had to even get up, and then slowly, he took a step forward. He saw the alertness in people's eyes, and began running forward. He hadn't made it even two steps forward before he felt Jason grab him. He pulled away from him desperately, not out of fear but because he wanted to keep his promise, but Jason was far stronger than he and he found himself slammed into the wall. He looked into Jason's eyes, and they flashed to a world of hurt, a world of anger, before returning to a neutral, unreadable expression. Still, it surprised him that he wasn't dead. The slam had taken it out of him though, it had removed the last will to fight from Tobias. "Ha, look at you...what are you going to do when Cynthia's out, Jason? When she next snaps, will you kill her...just because Benjy asked you to? Fucking...coward" were the last words Tobias Greipr uttered, before the depths of unconsciousness welcomed him at least. Shane was still sitting in his cell, in the fetal position actually, as he heard Isabella telling him to come back. Tell me what tasks I have to do, and maybe I'll consider it, he sent back to Isabella. He knew she could probably make him go back there, but he had to put up some sort of resistance, for he was not sure what he was to do. What could he do? If he went back, he would have to hurt Mai again, and if he didn't then he would be hurt; he wasn't sure which one was worse. He was scared; no, not scared...he was terrified. Terrified because once again he was in a situation he didn't have much control over, terrified because he had to use his powers to hurt someone. But the most terrifying thing of all was the fact that on some level, he craved to do it again. Lucas nodded simply. He followed behind Lyle, satisfied with the security for the moment and intrigued as to where the man was going. He wasn't disappointed. There was an arena, of sorts, and it seemed as though Colton was there to fight Carter. He would have enjoyed watching it, he would have found it both entertaining and informative, but he wouldn't...no, he couldn't watch it. Carter had powers, and this made him Lucas' enemy, but he was still just a child. The kid didn't know what he was in for, he wasn't an immediate threat yet. He cleared his throat. "Lyle, Carter is too young for any fighting. Look at him, it's not even a fair fight, his body can't do anything to protect him. Not from Colton, not from anything. If you want to see their powers in action, let me take Carter's place. I've had experience with powers, I can handle them. Besides, if there's anybody here that would prompt Colton to not hold back, it would be me" the investigator said. He'd already stepped forward and was ready to enter.
Gaius used Quick Blitz on the dragon, ignoring evil Gandalf for the moment.
While that description fits it perfectly, no it is not.
Because if I didn't have it, things would seem a lot darker than they really are.
Welcome to KHV, Terra12771. I can see why Terra would be your favourite character, I mean come on the guy is awesome! Not my favourite character, but I don't mind him. Remember to follow the rules and have fun here, and if you have any questions then most members would probably help you out, but in particular the ones with the coloured names that aren't pink are the ones you want (staff). Course, if you need anything then I'd be up for helping you out too. Again, welcome to the site.
Gexln nodded. "Yeah they healed alright, I mean you can't expect a gash like that to heal completely but they don't hurt anymore, so there's no need to be sorry" the warrior stated. He had a nagging voice in the back of his head, a voice requesting; no, demanding, more alcohol. "Just figured I'd let you know and all since I don't think I ever got to talk to ya after it. Now if you excuse me I have a pompous ******* to make look like the lightest of weights" he said, before walking swiftly back over to the bar and over to Quinn and couldn't help but notice the lack of drinks. "Johannaaaaaaaa where's our other drink? You can fight later, you have a job to do" Gexln whined.
Gexln shrugged his shoulders. "She probably doesn't remember it was me. This'll be interesting, see how good your memory is, Silvia. Four years ago, a certain someone was in trouble, and a stranger just so happened to save her. Aaaaand he got these" he said, pulling off his shirt to reveal several scars along his back, "to show for it. Remembering now?" he asked, smirk on his face.
Skadi's face went red as Leo introduced himself and Silvia followed up. She'd just insulted an S class wizard. Not only an S class wizard, but an S class wizard that was actually nice, a rarity among the guild members there. She backed up slightly. "Nice to meet you Leo, and that's okay Silvia. I'll...i'll go see what's going on over there" she stated, embarassed as she hurried over to the bar. Gexln scoffed at Trevor's rejection. "Well damn, if you don't wanna fight I guess you don't wanna fight. I don't see why you'd be worried about us setting good examples though, I am-" he started, before hearing Quinn's challenge to partake in the drinking competition. "YOU'RE ON! JOHANNA GIVE ME TWO MORE OF THOSE THINGS STAT" Gexln cried, whirring around to face Quinn. However, he spotted a certain individual talking with Leo, a certain individual he recognised, in fact. "Hold up, I have a thank you to obtain" he stated. Gexln walked over to Silvia and Leo, ignoring Skadi as she walked past him despite her attempting to ask him what the hell was going on. "Heeeeey Silvia, I haven't seen you in years. How have you been? I didn't know you joined Sapphire Eclipse" he said. Damn he was loving this alcohol. Stupid being a lightweight..
Jacob hobbled over to the boy that had asked the question and the girl that had responded to him. He had a cane and used it. He didn't have need of them, but it was what he was used to. The man held up the letter he had received, as if it was the most important thing in the world at that time. "If you'd bother to read the letter that was given to you, it would explain things a little more, I should think. As difficult as it may be to swallow, young man, you are in fact dead. All of us here" he said, gesturing around the room at the other inhabitants, "are dead. Your sister has nothing to do with this, the young lady is correct. If the letter is correct, we shall be brought to a meeting point shortly, so I would suggest waiting here and gathering your thoughts in the meantime. The last thing we need is some young whippersnapper making a lot of noi-" he began, before he was interrupted by a loud yell. "Yahoooooo!" Mark Furgot yelled as he dashed through the door and into the arrival station, leaving a trail of rainbow colours behind him and one very powerful look of irritation on the face of the old man that had been speaking. "Damn, this place looks preeeeeetty neat" he said, gazing around. "It's so....fancy" he added, before noticing the letter that he had hanging off of a piece of string on his scarf. How long had that been there? Opening it up, he read it, and as he did so his eyes grew wider and wider. "I'm dead?!" he exclaimed. "B-but I can't be dead, I f-feel so alive! How can thi- PRESENTS, awesome!" Mark shouted gleefully, forgetting his predicament as he raced over to the marked boxes and began reading what the writing on each said, hoping he could find one that was labelled with his name on it.
As Mai called out for him to stop messing around with her mind, Shane ignored it. He didn't even acknowledge Isabella's illusion; he was much too busy with his little project. However, as she screamed it the second time, his darkside view trance wore off. Immediately the urge to hurt her was suppressed once more, and immediately the voice inside his head screaming at him to mess with her mind became little more than a whisper. He stood there, eyes open wide in horror as he realized what he'd just done. He knew that he could have gotten past the shields that Mai had created, because despite there actually being shields she didn't seem too practiced in them. He wouldn't do it though. He'd caused enough pain, he wasn't going to cause any more. If he kept going there was a good chance Mai could wind up like the last group of people he had used his powers on, and he wasn't going to allow that to happen. Turning to Isabella as she shoved the coffee towards him, he simply stared at it. A short time ago he would've done just about anything to get it, but now...now he wanted nothing to do with it. He turned to look at Mai, a pained and exceptionally guilty look in his eyes. "I'm...I'm so sorry.." was all he could manage to say, his voice barely audible. He then turned and sprinted out of the room. He ran back to his cell and sat down inside of it. These people could help him get rid of his powers, but he would have to hurt people to do it, and he wasn't sure he wanted to do that. These people didn't want to help him, they didn't care whether or not his powers would be stopped, they just wanted a weapon...and he'd voluntarily given them one. Tobias visibly flinched when Joshua called him a kid. Seriously, what was it with people and always calling him that? Were they stupid? He eyed Joshua carefully. Sure as hell looked stupid. Both Kassandra and Joshua were pointing guns at him, but from the way Joshua was speaking Tobias didn't think he had the balls to shoot him. Kassandra was related to Benjamin though, meaning that she probably had bigger balls than any other person in the building. There was no way she wouldn't shoot him. "Fine, fine. You got me, man you guys are persistent" Tobias said, slouching slightly and putting his hands in his pockets like the typical teenager. Moments later, a wicked grin appeared on his face as his hands emerged from his pockets, one hand holding two throwing knives and the other simply holding one. Knives, his prefferred weapon. This was where he shined. He tossed one of the knives at Kassandra's hand, aiming for the gun, and another at Joshua's hand, both trying to disarm. He'd barely leapt off of the ground before he felt the bullet hit him. One of the bullets had missed, of that he was sure, but one of them had hit him square in the right kneecap. He landed on the ground clumsily, taking every ounce of willpower to have his leg not collapse on itself. Damn it was painful though, he loved it. He hoped that the knives had hit home, and the chances of them not were fairly slim due to his aim. However, he threw the third one straight at Joshua's eyes as he broke into a frantic dash for Cynthia's cell. Either it would take out his eyesight or the glasses would stop it, either way it would help. He dashed like a madman as fast as his feet could carry him, and damn despite his injured knee he moved fast. Only a few seconds had passed and he'd already made great distance. Just a little more and he'd be able to actually attack Kassandra and Joshua at melee range, where he could take them out pretty easily if everything went to plan. He just had to hope they didn't recover and shoot him before he got to them. "Well, Lyle, I'm not sure if you're aware but I didn't run a background check on every single person in the area at the time. We needed a telepath or a telekinetic, not someone of specific descent or anything like that. As long as the person had powers, that's all that mattered, and we got what we wanted. I never fail, and I'm not going to let them get the better of me. You're right, you don't have as much authority as me, so don't question my decisions. This isn't the first kidnapping I've been a part of, this isn't the first operation I've run, and it won't be the last either, I'm sure" Lucas stated. However, Colton just had to pipe up then. "You surprised me by surviving this long. Given your responses though, I'd say it's only a matter of time before you kick the bucket" he responded coolly. The investigator rolled his eyes at Colton's comment of "do your worst". He shot a quick glance at Colton, before turning his attention towards Lyle. "Well, as long as he's asking for it I don't see any reason not to. Should get interesting results. Just how powerful can that electric shock get? I'd like to see" he said, just the hint of a smile on his lips. This would be fun.
