"What did you just do? I think the better question is what didn't you do!" Hunter exclaimed. Damn he felt good. "You ain't half bad yourself Ginger" he said in response. He was about to suggest going for a second time to take advantage of the situation, but Gwen suggested perhaps going to talk to Akira. That was odd, he hadn't bedded a woman only to have her not want him more after it, what was going on? And why did his head feel like it was bigger...and wetter...and why did he suddenly feel the urge to decapitate himself? He stood up straight and put on clothing. Taking a step towards Akira, he fell over. Probably would've hurt if it wasn't for the puddle of tears there. Wait...when did that puddle get there? Oh Sapphire he was crying. Tears were flowing down his face, and as he looked at his reflection in the puddle he suddenly knew why. He had a face not even a mother could love. The power of Unlovability. He had become the forever alone meme for a single post. Though the duration was fairly short, he knew that the effects would likely scar him forever. At least it wouldn't scar him as much as the sight of his face had scarred his eyes. That was why Gwen had left, that was why Akira was pissed off and burning everything. Hell, he deserved to be burned for looking as he did. "I'm sorry okay Akira, I didn't mean to have my face turn into this hideous...this hideous....thing!" he cried, sobbing hysterically. "Ginger! Ginger you have to help me, please just decapitate me and end my miserable existence!" he yelled, but in his heart of hearts he knew she wouldn't go near him like that. Nobody would. And he didn't blame them. Walking over to one of the trees that were on fire, he found a small bush just next to it that had been set alight. He should just burn and make the world a better place. Nobody would ever love him, so what was the point of staying around? He stood above the bush and immediately felt the heat. With another wail he sat down, intending to let himself burn to death in the bush, and was shocked to find himself not burning. Looking to his right he saw the bush, a few feet over to the side. Not even the bush wanted to be near him. "Why won't you love me?!" he cried as he began pouncing on the bush, the inanimate object skillfully dodging Hunter as he threw his body at it until the post ended. Dane walked ahead of Alisia, simply wading through the sea of discarded keyblades. He hadn't gotten very far when he stopped and sighed. "Damnit" he cursed, before turning around and heading back towards the keyblade he had stopped at earlier. He grabbed it and pulled it out of the ground, before hurrying back to where Alisia was. "This keyblade was Maddie's. That girl I told you about, it was hers. I don't know why it's here, I don't know how it got here, and I don't know how she could possibly be alive, but I'm taking this with me. You say you hate me, and you're right to. It's better that people hate me, it makes it easier for them to accept their death and I love the looks on their faces as they realize I'm the one that just condemned them to death. She refused to see that in me though, she always insisted that it wasn't the real me" Dane said, looking up at the sky above him as he spoke. He then looked at the keyblade and growled, holding the keyblade out in front of Alisia. "And you see what happens to people that think I'm not as bad as I claim? They die, because they're wrong!" he shouted angrily. He simply held the keyblade there for a moment in silence, a pained look on his face. "I swear..she's going to pay...they all will. The widow had no right to Maddie's life..no right to anything except a slow, agonizing, painful death, and that's exactly what she's going to get" the shadow reaper said, for once showing a side to him other than cold heartless murderer.
Gexln sighed as Trevor's british personality came out. Damn he hated British guys. He looked at the drink that Johanna had poured him, and he lifted it up and began drinking it as fast as he was able. In moments, he placed the glass back on the bar. Man he was going to regret that later, he was sure of it. But for the moment.. "Uncultured swine? I would think the uncultured one is the one that is taking over somebody else's body. He's not fighting Johanna to beat her up, he's fighting her to test himself, nothin' wrong with that. Besides, she can hold her own, she wouldn't be an S class if she couldn't. Me and you are gonna fight now, so I'd suggest pullin' out one of them other personalities you've got. How about Trevor? He seems like he could put up a good fight. Though if you wanna stay in that one, I don't give a flying ****, I love beatin' up Brits" Gexln stated. Yup, he was going to regret it. Skadi slowly wandered over to the door. "Well...if you're sure..I mean I should probably check on the others. The moment you're feeling better, come find me, okay?" she spoke, before leaving. She headed back towards the main room of the guild hall, the place where most people usually were, and she stopped still as she saw the commotion going over by the bar. "I leave for five minutes and people start challenging each other...this guild sure is interesting sometimes" she muttered to herself, before spotting Silvia talking to a person she didn't recognise. She went over to her friend and gave a quick wave, before glancing at Leo. "Silvia, do you have any idea what's going on over at the bar? And who's this? Is he new?" she asked, now turning to face Leo. "Hey new guy, how're you enjoying the place?"
Hunter held up his right hand, and in it materialised a quill. For this post, he had become the rper, or at least as close as he could come to it, for he had the power of Vocal Narration! He stared right at Akira. "I am friend and I destroy everything! And as the amazing Hunter stared at Akira, she could see that his words were true. Along with that, she immediately knew everything they had done. Yes, everything, even the strip poker game between Gwen and Hunter. And she would inevitably decide to help them with their quest to find the hero. She also volunteered to be-" Hunter began, but an even better idea popped into his head that stopped him mid-sentence. "The ever awesome Hunter decided that now was the time to make fanfics go wild, and so he did this" he said, leaping down to where Gwen was and giving her the best kiss she had ever received on the lips. He pulled away from her for a moment, not wanting to stop but having an even better idea. "And as Hunter's lips left Gwen, she found herself filled with uncontrollable lust for Hunter. She had always found him attractive, and damn did she want him. She made the decision there and then to have sex with him, and nothing and nobody would stand in her way. She would grab Hunter's hand all seductive-like assuming that is possible, and pull him away to...uh..to" he started, frantically scanning the environment, "to that cave over behind Akira! And there they would engage in the kinkiest of sex, where she would give him everything and he would probably enjoy it. Such is the word of Hunter!" he cried, only to feel Gwen reaching for his hand.
Bored shitless, Glen decided to go off exploring in Disneytown. He hadn't seen much of it earlier due to waiting in the home, and until the others got back there wasn't much they could do. "I have three questions for you guys. Where can I find ice-cream in this place, how much does it cost, and who wants to come with to get some?" he asked. He wasn't usually one for company, but out of all the people he knew, there was no denying the group of people he was with at that time were the people he was closest to.
Gexln rolled his eyes as Johanna mentioned Evanora. "She still the master? I suppose when she actually decides to help she can be real threatening. That explains why everything's still intact" he said. He knew he shouldn't badmouth Evanora, especially since so many looked up to her, but as much as Gexln respected her as a guild master, he didn't respect those who command from the sidelines. Everytime a big problem occurred, it was left up to the guild members to solve it, and though they were capable there were many, many times that the help of their 'caring' guild master would have helped. Turning to look at Trevor, he forced a grin on his face. "Man are you going to regret that" the man said with a chuckle. Turning to look back at Johanna, he thought about what he wanted for a moment. "I'll have the most expensive drink we've got. I'm going to drink this guy here under the table"
Tobias had taken off as fast as his legs could take him, which was pretty quick. It hadn't taken him to get back to Raven Sun; about half as long as it'd taken him to get to where he had been before, actually. As he arrived back at Raven Sun, he slowed down to a casual walking pace and wandered inside. He didn't speak to anyone inside; if he didn't talk to them normally, then saying something might arouse suspicion. He checked around in a few of the rooms he would normally hang around in, just to make it seem like something he would generally be doing, before heading towards the cells. As he neared the cells, he noticed Joshua and some other person. "Hey Joshua, surprised to see you here. And....Kassandra? I don't believe we've met. My name's Tobias, pleased to meet you" the boy said as he read the name tag and held out his hand. Kassandra didn't accept it. Damn, he was going to extend his claws and seriously mess up her hand if she had. Well, there went that advantage. Instead, she stood in a defensive position. Did she know who he was? Did both of them know why he was there? It wouldn't be hard to put two and two together if they both knew Benjamin, which he was pretty sure Joshua did. Tobias decided to drop the act. There wasn't much point in pretending he was there for a leisurely stroll, Joshua at least would see right through him, and he really didn't have a reason to be there aside from Cynthia. If he didn't find a way to get them out of the way soon, Benjamin would send him a message with his next mission, and then there would be all kinds of trouble. "Okay, subtlety has never been my strongest suit, so I'm going to make this simple for the two of you. That girl in the cell there, Cynthia Enger? Innocent. I pissed off her father, he took out his anger on his daughter, she took the fall for him. If anything, I'm the one that should be in that cell. Unfortunately, that ain't going to happen. Still, can't let injustice be served, right? So, I'm getting her out of there, and you two are getting out of my way. Raven Sun's all about peace and stuff, so there's no need for bloodshed here" Tobias stated. He held his fists up in front of him in an aggressive stance, ready to attack if he needed to. Tobias was an *******, and he loved pissing people off more than most, but he kept his word when it counted. One way or another, Cynthia was getting out. Lucas approached Lyle, a reasonably serious look on his face as he did so. "Lyle, your security needs to be heightened. Not just yours, this whole government facility, but yours needs it the most. As you're probably aware, Colton is from a group of people, he's not just some kid taken off of the street. We can't say for sure whether or not these people have powers, but it would be safest to assume that they do, so we need to prepare for any attempt they may make to rescue them. If they're not aware of where he is, they shouldn't be too far off. If we are prepared for them when they arrive, we can capture them and gain significant ground on your research of powers, as well as gain more subjects for you to run experiments on. I want you to let me know of any and all other entrances you know to this place. Windows, hidden doors, basements, even sewers if you know of them; any entry point they could use against us. We're going to set a trap. While you do this, I'm going to check the other sections of the facility" Lucas stated. Errol had gotten no further than mentioning information on Colton before Christie found herself already taking off down the hall. She only got a few steps, however, before she remembered Danni. She couldn't just abandon her. Thankfully, Danni came out shortly after and said she could go. Christie gave a quick nod and began running. The moment she was out of the hospital, she picked up the pace. This was what she had been waiting for, this is what she had been hoping for. A chance to make up for her mistakes. The sooner she got back to the Academy, the sooner she got back to Errol, and the sooner she found out more about this plan. And the sooner that Colton was saved.
Tobias was still on his way to a store when he felt his phone vibrating. Pulling it out, he became aware that he didn't recognise the number. Did Benjamin get a new phone or something? Answering it with a roll of his eyes, a chill was sent down his spine as he heard not only the voice on the other end, but the words that were spoken. It was Cynthia, but she wasn't speaking as clearly as she normally would, and she mentioned something about being shot. He listened with both curiousity and mild worry as she spoke, his running slowing down to a jog and then simply came to a halt. "Help me...." Well, if he hadn't known she was in trouble before, he would have now. Asking for help wasn't the kind of thing Cynthia would do normally, asking him for help seemed even less likely, and yet there it was. He thought for a moment. Cynthia had been on her way to Raven Sun, he was guessing, after their mission was terminated. That much was easy to tell, especially because of the yelling he had heard outside of Benjamin's office when he'd been in there. Following that mess, it made sense for her to be locked away. Even Tobias hadn't attacked Jason before, to attack someone higher up was a pretty serious offence, so chances were she was in one of those cell things Tobias had thrown a few people in after completing bounty missions. His assasination would have to wait. Cynthia might have been a real ***** to him, but he couldn't deny there was some interest in her aside from her looks. And if anyone was going to kill her, it would be him, nobody else. He turned around, but then a thought struck him; if he went back, he was going against the one thing Benjamin had told him specifically not to do. If he went back, he would face severe punishment, if not death itself. Not only that, but the chances of him actually getting Cynthia away from Raven Sun without anybody noticing were practically nonexistent. To go there was suicide, he'd be pissing off the most powerful guy in their organization, and he might end up in a worse situation than Cynthia. But if he did save Cynthia, it would drive Jason nuts. With a smirk on his face, Jason began sprinting towards Raven Sun. He had a damsel in distress to rescue.
"I don't see why you couldn't take one. If they're left around here, I doubt anyone is going to be alive to yell at you for it. And if a day comes that you ever forgive me for killing your homeworld, then I very, very much doubt I'll be alive to see that day" Dane stated. Walking over and picking up the dagger, he put it back, but froze as he looked ahead. One of the keyblades there, one of the weapons that was stabbed in the ground just a few feet away, he recognised it. Taking a few steps forward he took a closer look at the keyblade. There was no doubt about it, this keyblade belonged to the one he thought it did. A particular keychain gave it away. It was a small, tiny scythe, a replica of the one Dane had used. "But...how? You died..I saw you die, I held you in my arms as you died. How could you possibly be alive..?" Dane asked to nobody in particular. He simply stood there, staring at the keyblade in disbelief and shock. After a moment, he gathered his thoughts once more and stood up straight "Lets keep looking for the hero" he said, his voice little more than a whisper as he spoke to Alisia and began walking in a northerly direction.
Gaius used Quick Blitz on Boreal Quality.
Skadi listened to the conversation between Thea and Evanora, and though Thea may have been embarassed about calling the guildmaster her mother, Skadi couldn't help but smile a little at it. It was a good thing, really, that she felt so close to Evanora. After all the suffering the little girl had gone through she deserved to find some happiness and feel some comfort. The ice mage nodded in response to what Thea had asked. "Yeah I promise. You didn't mean to do it, and that's what matters. Besides, if I could tell you how many people's arms and legs I accidentally froze when learning my ice magic you wouldn't feel half as bad. I learned how to undo my own magic quickly, that's for sure!" she replied with a laugh. The doors to Sapphire Eclipse opened and one of the more powerful members stepped through the door. He was known only as Gexln, and he had just returned from a long and tiring mission. The mission he had been on was to take down a powerful group of one thousand Vulcans in a faraway land. Why someone wanted a thousand vulcans beaten to a pulp, Gexln would never know, but he had been paid so he didn't really question it. He hadn't done it alone, however. Turning to look at the other S-Class member that had helped him, Gexln spoke up. "For a guild hall that was practically destroyed, I'd say it's looking pretty good. Wouldn't you agree, Trevor? It certainly looks better than the mountain of corpses we left behind. I bet those Vulcans didn't expect that when they threatened the town. Was it two members going after them, or three? And which one of you was the one that was actually fighting? Was it the calm one or the murderous one?" he said. The words he spoke made it sound like he was joking, but his tone said otherwise. Walking over to Johanna, he waved. "Hey Johanna, sorry that we weren't here to protect the place from Ezekiel. Guild looks like it's holding up well enough, though" he greeted.
Name: S-class member Gexln Gender: Male Age (Min of 14): 21 Description: Here Personality: (Optional, if you'd rather keep that a secret) Secret, if you really want to know I guess you'll just have to pay attention to my posts XD Weapons: A blade he calls Darkness' Sorrow Armor: (Should start with no Armor) Magic Type: Shadow dragon, Takeover (Beast Soul), Sand Magic Strengths: Determined, experienced in battle, very quick on his feet and can be somewhat tactical when he needs to be. Weaknesses/Fears: Fears losing control of his own magic, though this is a very small fear. Acts on emotion too much, and can be a little too aggressive sometimes. History: As a boy, Gexln had a very unique upbringing. He was very close to his father, always sticking by his side no matter what. Unfortunately, he also got into fights all the time, quite often creating trouble that his father had to come in and sort out. And when his father came to sort things out, entire towns would tremble in fear. One day, Gexln's father got extremely sick. His illness quickly overtook his body, and it was set to be a slow and painful death. So his father asked Gexln to put an end to him, to kill him and relieve him of his suffering. With great sorrow in his eyes, Gexln obliged. Oh yeah, his father was the shadow dragon, that's probably something that should be mentioned. With his father gone, Gexln should have grieved, but he didn't. The dragon wouldn't have wanted him to live a life of sorrow, but rather one where Gexln could achieve all he set out to do and have the best life he could lead, but if he was going to do that he needed the strength to survive on his own. And so he set out to join a guild where he could use his magic to its fullest and stumbled across Sapphire Eclipse. At Sapphire Eclipse, he felt like he fit in, which was odd given his upbringing. That being said, he didn't always get along with the members, and so he found himself out on missions far more frequently than the average person. He would disappear for weeks at a time and then return for only days, before setting out again. This continued until shortly after Ezekiel attacked the guild. Gexln felt guilty that he had not been there at the time, and made the decision to spend less time away. Other: Is an S-Class member. Character Build Chosen: Speed Character Build Weakness: Defence
"I see no harm in going to check on things. If we have to wait for Colton's protectors to come to us, then we should probably make sure everything is in working order and nothing has gone wrong. As for the bubbly one, she's probably messing with someone's head, so I wouldn't bother her right now. No, I think we need to speak with Lyle; let him know what we've been discussing, or at least what he needs to know to get this place ready for a standoff" Lucas stated, slowly beginning to walk towards Lyle. He made sure he was walking slowly enough that Kye could easily keep up. He'd never tell her, but he quite enjoyed talking to her, he just didn't like showing much emotion. Tobias was still fuming. He'd walked quite a distance away from Raven Sun, eager to create a large distance between him and there in a hurry. He had moments that he wondered why he was still even in Raven Sun, and this was one of them. Sure, he could kill people there, but only ones they picked. If he killed anyone other than the targets, well the meeting he'd had with Benjamin just a short time ago was not the first he'd had, that was for sure. He needed a way to show he knew what he was doing, to prove he should still be on the case. Tobias had never failed an assassination until now, and he wasn't going to let this one escape him. He stopped as an idea hit him. An idea that would surely be entertaining to watch, cause plenty of trouble, and most importantly...if it worked, Benjamin would never be able to question his actions ever again. A grin appearing on his face, Tobias took off for the nearest clothing store. Shane didn't stop. A part of him was yelling at him to stop alongside Mai's own thoughts, that what he was doing was wrong, but that part was silenced quickly by the darker personality. It was for this reason he had used darkside view; he was incapable of outright attacking people without it. "Of course I'll fix the memories later. Nobody wants a scarred subject, at least not scarred properly. With all this pressure, her brain-waves ought to be off the charts. Makes her easier to study...for science, naturally" he said, flashing a cocky grin towards Isabella as he spoke. The worst has passed, Mai. I awakened those memories inside of you, they are you, even if you won't acknowledge them. That being said, I still have three more powers to go over. One of them is fun to use, another can be quite painful, and the third...well, I'll let you figure that one out for yourself, Shane sent to Mai. He began using his pushing ability on the girl, creating both a want to stop singing the song lyrics and at the same time he placed a simple craving for coffee; specifically the coffee that Isabella had. He waited for a moment to see the response in her thoughts, before shooting a quick glance at Isabella. "You might not want to read too much into her thoughts, if you get too connected to them you might experience the same thing she does, wouldn't want that" he advised before turning back towards Mai. He began releasing a blast of psionic energy at the girl's mind, using his psionic inundation as he attacked her mind, which would undoubtedly be painful for the girl. Part of him felt bad, and that wasn't good; it meant his darkside view was wearing off. Thankfully, he only had one power to show that was left. It's time to see the monster within you, he sent to Mai.
Just as Caleb was about to leave, was about to begin exploring, Charlotte found her way into the ship. "I haven't found anything. We were about to start looking for them just now, actually" he said as he glanced down at Audrey to make sure she hadn't run ahead. Thankfully, she hadn't. However, just as he was about to begin moving on in his search, he became aware of another individual aside from the creepy guy that had seemingly appeared from nowhere. Turning to look in Rienzel's direction, the character not the rper, he opened his mouth to speak. "You there, I'd like your name and reason why you are here. Are you a local, or from another world?" the guardian asked, one hand summoning a blade as he asked and the other held protectively in front of Audrey. Hunter refrained from yelling out again as Gwen shrunk his special friend. He normally would have, but his attention was surprisingly on something else. Gwen had said no to banging, this was true, but she hadn't said because she wasn't interested like he was sure he could remember her saying before, or because she didn't want to. No, it was because they hadn't found the hero yet. Well, if he didn't have motivation to free the hero before he sure as hell did now. Utilizing his power over Geokinetic Cloning, Hunter raised an army of earthen Hunter clones, all holding their hands up into the air and all different heights. He began ascending the Staircase of Awesome as he climbed up to the cliff that Akira had so obviously been standing on for dramatic effect. Incredibly dramatic music fit for a king began playing as he took his first steps, accompanied by a fanfare that made the area exceptionally loud. A cape appeared on Hunter's shoulders, flowing behind him in the wind as he got to the top, before he stepped off of the human staircase and immediately both the cape and his clones vanished. To finish his grand entrance, Hunter turned and pointed directly at Gwen. "What she said!" he boomed, adding almost nothing to the current conversation other than amazing music. Dane had to stop himself from chuckling when Alisia began swinging the keyblade around. The weapon seemed to suit her, though it was just a tad too big for her, but the idea of her fighting hordes of heartless and other beasts was one that brought amusement to Dane. "This place is the keyblade graveyard. Countless battles have been fought on it, many not worth mentioning, and some that became legends in themselves. A man named Xehanort once fought a few good guys as he tried to forge the legendary x-blade, and one of them ended up trapped in the realm of darkness, one lost their heart, and the other lost their body. There's the one that lost the body" he said, pointing his scythe in the direction of a crumpled suit of armour. "And what you're holding is his keyblade" Dane explained, unable to resist a light laugh as he said so. "They stopped him though. There were more battles fought between humans and heartless here, but if I told you all of them then you would die by old age before i'm finished. There was one very important one though. Two sides went against each other, a group of people with light in their hearts fighting against people predominantly of the dark, and both groups got stabbed in the back by some lunatic. The psycho tried to kill them, they fought back, and they kinda wrecked the guy. And aaaaaall that happened here. What my point is, Alisia, is that this place here is a battleground of legends. In fact, it's so damn iconic I don't know why nobody has thought to search here for the hero before. And every time a bad guy shows his face here, good guys turn up and the bad guy has to back off" he said. "Now, I'm a bad guy, and the hero's a good guy. What better way to find him? I'm not as stupid as I look, you know" Dane finished.
Well, it'd finally happened. Kye's words actually had Lucas stumped. Either she was spouting complete crap to sound impressive, something he wouldn't put past her, or she was speaking in such a cryptic way that he just didn't understand. Of all mysteries he had solved, trying to decipher the speech patterns of Kytheria Orthienstine was by far the most difficult one. The first part was simple. The cat had a better thinking light...Kye often referred to herself as the cat, and the thinking light was a lightbulb; "I have an idea" was what that meant. Fathers not letting go of sons so easily...could she mean the group Colton was from wouldn't let go of him? It had to be, surely. Then there was liberation, followed by heads will roll. "I have a better idea. They will come for Colton, wait for them and set out a trap from which there is no escape" was what Lucas got from it. "If we could use Colton as bait, that would be even better. Unfortunately, to lose him would mean losing our only advantage..so that's out of the question. Perhaps Isabella has some sort of device to neutralise the effect of powers altogether in a specific area. If she does, we could use lure our pursuers into that area and then capture them in one fell swoop" Lucas explained. Shane froze as he heard Mai's words. Such a low survival rate, and horrific conditions..and he'd walked right into them. He'd been an idiot. Not only that, but after the torture that this woman had gone through, the pain he had seen through her memories, now he was about to inflict more. I'm sorry.. he sent to Mai, before preparing to use his pushing ability. He couldn't do it. He couldn't use his powers to hurt her, not after what she'd been through. And it doesn't make things any easier with the damn smell of coffee constantly here! Shane sent to Isabella. He looked down at the handcuffs on his right hand. Normally he would have made some remark to her about her being into him, which he didn't genuinely believe, but he was starting to lose his grip. He needed to maintain calm, and he needed to do the tasks assigned no matter who he hurt. And he needed coffee. How was he to do these things with so much hesitation? Focusing intensely, he began using his telepathy on his own mind. It was exceptionally difficult to do, and most of his powers wouldn't work on himself due to not being able to access his own thoughts, but..influencing the emotional state, now that was something he could do. He used his darkside view on himself, and immediately began feeling a lot more confident, a lot more aggressive, and he found the hesitation vanishing almost immediately. He didn't care who he hurt, he just had to do what had to be done and get out. Crack a few skulls on the way out, maybe. Straining against the handcuffs, he began pulling to the point they began cutting into his wrist, but he kept trying anyway. Eventually, the logical side won over and he resumed his practice on Mai. "Watch this, Isabella. You want to see my powers? I'll give you such a show that you won't be able to keep your hands off of me" he said with a sly wink. He began reaching into Mai's mind, ignoring her pleas as he accessed her memories. He had to pick a good one, one that would surely cause the girl to scream as her memories were being jumbled around. The girl made it too easy, one of her most cherished memories was of her protecting Colton, of her making the deal with Lyle. Well, wasn't that...interesting. He was going to create a new memory and tamper with the old. This girl was going to go through hell, if he did this then they would have no doubt about his powers and they could really speed up things. He got to work, changing the memory ever so slightly. It was a small change, so that Colton had simply yelled at her and called her an idiot for making the deal. Then Lyle had come over, hearing the conversation, and told Mai nine simple, easy to hear words before leaving. "You're going to die here, and so is he" was what Shane made the Lyle illusion say, before the memory resumed its natural course. That would cause some fun. Next he created a memory, or rather a series of memories. Congratulations, you have another sibling after all that you completely forgot about. And here I was thinking I knew everything about you. You know why I couldn't find him? Because even you had forgotten him. You forgot your brother, you forgot the family member that you left for dead! Shane sent to Mai. Oh he was enjoying this too much. As he sent the words to her, he began creating a series of memories for Mai, of her older brother simply named David. Memories of the two playing together, memories of them confiding in each other with secrets of Shane's choosing, memories of them getting a family dog only for that dog to pass away two months later, hit in a car accident. And the memory of David's death. Of her losing her temper one day and him yelling back, of David hitting her once in the face and her going for a kitchen knife. She told him to back down and apologise, and when he didn't he attacked her, trying to hit her once again. She held up the knife in front of her out of desperation, and poor, sad David was stabbed straight through the heart, bleeding to death on the ground. And that was all the memory editing he would do for the moment. It was all that was needed. He turned and glanced at Isabella. "You see all that? I've got two more powers you haven't seen, should I show those too?" he asked. He had to be quick. Already he could feel his other half returning, his regular personality coming back. If he didn't act quick, he wouldn't be able to finish the tests.
Isabella turning into something was certainly something that Shane had not anticipated. The illusion didn't affect him too much, but he did jump slightly and let out a quick cry of surprise, causing him to drop the cup onto the ground. The cup shattered and Shane went to the ground after it. He held the pieces of the cup together as though some magical force was going to join it back, but sadly that was not so. The words "you get none" echoed in his head. None....none...he got none...no coffee. He turned to look at Isabella, his mouth gaping open in horror, but she didn't acknowledge him in the slightest. Worse, she told him to push the IV and heart monitor. It may have sounded like a question, but if he didn't do it then he would never get coffee again. There wasn't an option. The boy paid close attention to the instructions Isabella gave him. The idea of having to use not only one of his powers but all of them on a single person in a short amount of time was a worrying one. He knew he could do it; there was no doubt there, but would he? He had to. This was the only way to solve his problem. Although..what if he used them like Carter had said? To protect people? That may have been an option...but not at that time. No, he had to do what he was told, he was a prisoner. "Alright. I'll do it" he said to Isabella. He paused, then allowed himself a slight chuckle. "I'll be alone in the same place with two beautiful women. Many guys would call me a legend, and just think..all it took was going to prison" he said. He then began interacting with Mai's mind. He would cycle through each of the powers he knew, starting at the weakest and working the way up. It shouldn't be as bad for her that way. First up was his psychic communication. That one was easy; harmless, even. Hello Mai, my name is Shane Ware. I'll be using your mind as a test platform of sorts. Not my choice, I kinda have to, sorry about that. Also, hi Isabella. So you rejected me, took away my coffee, and now you're mentally stalking me? I feel flattered, couldn't have picked a better location for our first date, he sent telepathically to Mai, although he knew that Isabella could easily hear what was going on in her head; it was a good thing she couldn't hear his own thoughts.
Tobias couldn't believe what he was hearing. All intentions to joke around with Benjamin had simply vanished the moment he had called Tobias a failure. Irresponsible was a fair call, but everything else just pissed off Tobias. "Irresponsible? Juvenile? Call it whatever the hell you want, Benjamin, but while you see failure I see success. It worked. People lost their lives and I can see why that'd bother a do-gooder like you, but how many people has the silent killer murdered, and how many more will they kill before then? People have been trying to catch this guy for years and come up with absolutely nothing, hell nobody in Raven Sun has made any progress. Until I made that 'irresponsible and juvenile action'. I made more progress on that case in less than a week than people have in years!" Tobias shouted, moments before he felt the Raven on the end of Benjamin's cane slam hard into his face. He remained silent for a moment; something Tobias almost never did. He liked the feeling of the pain that had been caused to his face, but he was finding it harder and harder to tolerate all the crappy rules Benjamin had set. He stood up now. "Send me whatever new mission you've got for me as a text, I'm done here" the boy said as he wandered towards the door. He came to a short halt as he reached the exit. "Just for the record, if you ever strike me again like that, then leader or not I will fight back" he said, his voice unusually grim as he spoke. He left the office and walked past the other people in Raven Sun, exiting the building and taking an immediate left. He didn't care where he was going, and quite frankly he didn't care. Lucas simply stared at Kye for a moment. The way she spoke caused him to think about what she actually said a little more than most people; it was a good mental workout, trying to decipher what she was saying amongst all the gibberish. "You know, Kye, that information would have been very useful to know before I made a plan of my own. Though, it wasn't much of a plan. So, odds are the group of them are in one of those places, but there's no way to know which one we're after, or even if they all play some part of something bigger. They could all be linked, but if I went alone and they were indeed linked then we would have no way of knowing. Hmmm...this does pose a problem. Were it any regular people, we could use a decoy that looks similar to Colton and stage some sort of event that would draw them out of hiding, but with there being such a high chance of telepathists being in the group, they would know immediately it wasn't the real one, so that's out of the question. So, we need to find out more about these places before we can make any further plans. Do you have any suggestions on how we would go about that?" Lucas asked. His mind was working quickly to eliminate solutions and he had come up with several. Finding the one that would work, the best solution to use, that was the real challenge. Christie was glad that Danni was in agreement over whether or not they'll get the others back. They had to, there was no room for failure. "I'll take first watch" was all she said as she walked past the others in the room. Taking a quick glance at Jex to make sure he was alright, or at least as alright as he could be in his condition, she stepped out of the room and found a seat just outside of it in the hall. If anyone that she didn't recognise tried to get into the room, she would question them, and if they were still suspicious then they would find themselves pinned against the wall and unable to move.
"You're not going anywhere, Thea. You're part of this guild now, whether you have the title or not. I'm not, and we're not, going to leave you out on your own, and I'll be damned if a friend and guild member is sad and lonely when I can help. The burn stung, but not as much as the knowledge that you were sad and I did nothing to help" Skadi responded. She didn't want to tell Thea about her problems with magic. She'd barely managed to create the dress and logo, and even then it had taken quite a while, and she didn't want to mention the fear of losing control she had about herself. And yet, she didn't want to leave Thea alone.
Gaius' eyes widened as Boreal went into another form. He had really stepped up his game, but the form itself was what terrified Gaius. He had seen this before. Don't judge him for that, he had a friend that was into that kinda thing. He knew exactly what it was. "Tentacle porn!" he screamed as the tentacle hit him and slammed him back. Getting up quickly, he remembered the technique that went alongside anything porn. If he used a similar technique, he would be able to overcome this. Leaping at Boreal, he struck with all his might with his fist extended. Gaius used fistin- Quick Blitz! As Skadi walked back into the guild hall, she could feel the tension in the air. She didn't say a word to anyone though as she walked through the hall, making her way past everyone and heading towards Thea's room. Knocking quietly, she gently pushed open the door only to see Evanora. While she didn't hate the guild master, after the way she had started the mission and simply left them to fend for themselves it was kinda hard to not dislike her. However, she said nothing to her other than "I'm back" and turning her attention to Thea. Kneeling next to her small friend's bed, she grabbed the bag and emptied the dolls onto the bed. "I...I got your dolls for you, Thea. I hope I got all of them, but one of them had no clothing at all so I made her this little dress, I'm sorry if I ruined your doll.." she said, looking down at the ground. She was apologising so much, this must be how Silvia felt all the time. "And...I made this for you too" she said, placing the thing she had made of ice on the bed. It was a solid, 3D version of the guild emblem made of ice, with the words "No matter how many bridges you burn, there are people here for you now, Thea" written at the bottom. "I'm so sorry I couldn't help you before, I hope we can still be friends" Skadi apologised. She hoped she didn't have to explain why she hadn't helped, she didn't want to make Thea feel any worse than she probably did.
As Tobias reached Raven Sun, he headed inside to see a rather pissed off Jason. A nice guy would probably ask him what was wrong, or leave him be, but Tobias wasn't a nice guy. "Hey Jason, you look like you're kinda down. You know what can get your emotions going again? A picture. A picture says a thousand words or something like that, here's one I think you will love; I sure as hell did" he said with a wicked grin. Putting away his phone, he then gave Jason a friendly pat on the back. "If your ex-wife is half as good in the sack as she was, then I'm surprised you didn't have at least sixteen more kids. Hang in there buddy, positive thoughts" he said before walking away from the man. He took a quick glance as he walked away at Jason's back, and in particular the small piece of paper stuck to his back that said "Avoid. Pissed off. Also gay for Benjamin", before turning his attention back to where he was heading and walked straight into Benjamin's office. The first thing he noticed was that there was both Walter and Benjamin sitting inside the office. Apparently Raven Sun was now a retirement village, what with all the older people walking around. "Hey Benjy, you wanted to see me? If you're after some extra cocaine, I gotta remind you man I ran dry last week, you'll just have to go cold turkey this time. So, what else did you want me for?" Tobias said. After having to at least pretend to be serious, it felt good to be his regular idiotic self. Christie nodded as Danni explained things. They were to watch over Jex, and then she would get her test. That was good, at least the first part was easy. "Okay Brendan, we'll make sure everything's alright here" she said. "If it were easy, we would've had him back by now. Don't worry, Danni, we'll get him back, and Carter, and all the others" Christie reassured. She didn't completely believe her words, there was always a part of her mind that doubted her, and when it came to helping people it only got worse. Lucas wasn't sure what to make of Kyetheria's response; he rarely ever was. "You might get to kill some people, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm going to go to Reno again and find this group of people. I don't care if I have to knock on every damn door in Nevada, I will find them. And when I do, I'm going to tell them exactly who I am and that I'm the one who brought in Colton. If things go as I intend, I should be able to find them, expose them, and then escape if I do it carefully. And with them exposed, the rest of the government can help bring them in. If not, then I expose them and get captured, then the government swoops in and I should be okay. Either way, it should finish them. What do you think?" he asked, genuinely curious as to how she would take it. Shane stared at the boy as he asked why he had come. Looking away from the kid, he looked at the cell and in particular the bars. "Because I did something terrible. A cage is the perfect place for a monster like me. If I escape, I'm only putting people in danger, and until I'm sure that I can control it..this is where I belong. If I try to escape and get killed, it's a good thing. The world would be better off for it" he said quietly. "Even if I have to remain here for the rest of my life though, I'll get you home. No child deserves to be a prisoner" he added, before receiving Isabella's response. Yeah yeah, whatever you say, was all he sent back. He got up and followed Isabella out of the cell and away from it. As she mentioned the not trying anything funny, he rolled his eyes. If he'd wanted to escape, wouldn't he have tried by now? Although her hobby about the explosives and grenades was interesting. "Huh. And to think my hobby is archery. Yours is much more exciting, wouldn't mind learning about it sometime" the boy responded. Shane didn't say much as they headed towards Lyle. The way Isabella spoke to him was intriguing, but it was the mention of coffee that got Shane really happy. He loved coffee, there were very few days he didn't start with it. Snatching the cup, he began drinking it quickly, causing the delicious liquid to vanish almost immediately as it went down his throat. Satisfied, he gave the cup back to Isabella and then shrugged his shoulders. "Thanks, I needed that. Can't function so well without the stuff" he admitted sheepishly.
Caleb followed Gaius and Sasha quietly. He hadn't heard much about the Happy Mountains, only that they were thought of as a hideaway for mercenaries. "Why would somebody go to the happy mountains? People say it's a dangerous place, full of deadly creatures around it and even deadlier people inside...why would one of the king's noblemen go there?" he questioned. Gaius shrugged his shoulders at Caleb's question. "Dunno, the king never said the guy was a nobleman. He just said he's someone that can help us. Who knows, maybe he's a mercenary or something? What do you think, Sasha?" the boy asked, arms folded behind his head as he walked. He knew even less of the Happy Mountains than Caleb did, but that wasn't going to cause him to turn around and head back; not when his one chance to find his mother was on the line. The king sighed, a little dissappointed in Scott. He had just told him to go to each of the towns, and now he was asking which one to go to? Had he not heard a word he had said? "All of them, Scott. If not to find the cause of the rebellion, then to reassure them that the king has not abandoned them. The people need to know that there is no need for a rebellion. In each town there is a governor. Talk to them, find out what they know, then move onto the next town. Once you have done this, please return to me as soon as you are able. This is a very important task, Scott; the fate of Rivelle could very well depend on you" he said, concerned. Oscar couldn't find the words to speak to Samuel. He hadn't meant to tell him just yet, he was trying to find a better time to explain the situation. Damn that mind reader, damn him to hell! He didn't have much of a choice. He held out his hand and summoned a mask. "This. This is what happened, Samuel. This mask is the most powerful one I have. The day I found it was the day everything died. It is my fault they're gone. This mask gives whoever uses it incredible power, it increases just about everything about them; strength, speed, endurance, you name it. It also gives them immunity to fire, and the ability to summon flaming demons from hell itself. It also saps away at their sanity, causing them to lose control while using it. The mask makes them nigh unstoppable, but nobody...not even the ones they care about..are safe while it's around" Oscar stated, looking to Samuel for a hint of hope that his brother would stay by his side still, but how could he? Why would he? He knew now, he knew that the reasons people were after them were true. While Oscar hadn't intended on killing anyone, he had still done it. A thin smile appeared on Vex's face, more of a smirk really, as he was questioned on his reasoning. "If you're going to wonder about my reasons for doing things, then you're going to be wondering a lot. People die everyday. Whether it be from battle, famine, or some other cause, plenty of people leave the world of the living every minute. If they die here, protecting someone they think is good, good for them. Remember, this revolution is to put a better king in place, a king who will do whatever it takes to ensure the people are safer, rather than the bumbling fool that sits on his fat rear right now" Vex stated. He began walking out of the dungeon, but stopped after just a couple of steps. "As for why I freed him....well, he claimed to be the one to start the revolution. I might be a murderer, and I barely know the guy, but I repay my debts. He also has an unusual gift, one that cancels magic in his vicinity. That could come in hand when going against the king, couldn't it? He's outlawed magic, but if you knew of a super powerful weapon but was against using it, would you completely erase all traces of it..or would you keep it around on the off-chance you need it? In either case, we should regroup. Two days from now, so we can make preperations before he arrives. Find something to do until then. Get drunk, kill some people, train, do whatever, it doesn't bother me" the man said, wandering off towards the exit.
