Lucas wandered over to Kye. He had discussed the possibility of there being another group with her the night before, and then gone to sleep in a bed in a vacant cell. It wasn't comforting, and it felt a little strange being behind bars instead of being the one to put people there. Getting up with a yawn, he stretched his arms and wandered towards the place Kye had decided to stay in. Wandering over, he found her still asleep. How such a hyperactive mind could stop working long enough to get a decent night's sleep was a mystery not even he could solve. He knocked on the door three times, just loudly enough to wake her up before stepping over to her. "Enough sleep, Kye. I have an idea, and it's one that is going to cause a lot of exciting things to happen. I bet you'll love that, won't you?" Lucas asked.

Shane hadn't slept well in the slightest. The bed was uncomfortable, but not quite as much as the situation he was in. He was doing what he could to look calm, but it didn't take a genius to see that he was anything but. Inside the cell he had examined the walls very closely, as though there might be something that could help him get out. There wasn't. With a defeated sigh, he slumped against the wall and slid with his back against it until he hit the ground with a light thud. Maybe he should talk to his roommate..he was certainly awake. The kid was still, had barely even moved, and he hadn't said a word, but Shane knew. Telepathy was a gift sometimes, and this was one of those times.

"Hey, no need to pretend you're not here. This place is real, and you're in it. It's not a particularly good environment, is it? How about rather than sitting here wishing you weren't here, you actually talk to me and see if together we can figure out a way to get you home, huh?" Shane asked, keeping his voice as caring as he could manage. If you're going to do these tests, do them now. Sooner we figure out a way to help me, the better. Besides, if we get started now you'll get to see how my brain functions when I'm half asleep, won't that be fun? he sent to Isabella via telepathy.

Tobias rolled over as his phone vibrated. Lazily opening an eye, he saw it was Benjamin. "Not right now Benjy, just five more minutes" he grumbled as he pushed the phone off the couch and onto the floor, before rolling over once more. He stayed like that for those five minutes, and then frowned as he got up and picked up the phone. He was exhausted. After all the sleuth work and fighting the urge for murder, he had then spent a good hour and a half in the night sneaking around in the flat. He'd found all kinds of things, one of which was particularly interesting to him, and he had placed it underneath the couch. He had had to be super careful though, if Cynthia found him slinking about she'd probably try to literally murder him. Having a thing for a psychotic bitch had its drawbacks. Grabbing the item he had shoved under the couch, he walked out to the stairs outside and posed for a picture. Once the picture had been taken, he uploaded it to Snapchat and strolled back inside, where he sat on the couch and listened to the voice mail.

"Damn Benjamin, pulling me out just as I was getting to the good stuff. Stupid old geezer, surprised he even remembered my name or the name of Raven Sun. Ah well, can't be helped I s'pose" he said quietly, thinking aloud. He was going to call out to Cynthia, but then he remembered how much of a morning person she was and decided against it. But what could he do? He wandered over to the notes they'd made earlier and picked up a pen. Scribbling a quick message on it, he then put down the pen and headed out the door, on his way back to the closest thing to home he had.

To the hottest murderer I know, aside from me,
I got a call from Benjamin, told me to report back immediately. Knowing your dad, I'd say he's been sucking Benjy's dick trying to get me away from you.
So, alas this is goodbye for now. You'll get stuck with someone else, probably. Sounds great to you, right? Probably does, but you can't deny I'm one of the most efficient members of Raven Sun, so expect things to go a little slower for you.
I left my cell phone number at the bottom here, use it for personal issues if you wish (I'm not as bad at listening as people think), but it's mainly there for business.
    Until we meet again

Christie hadn't said a word since she had arrived. Of course she had hurried there to make sure Jex was alright, but there were people there he would want to see more than her. Christie didn't know Jex particularly well, but the others seemed to. There was a girl leaving, and she knew nothing about her other than the fact she had helped them, but she clearly wasn't an enemy, so that could wait. She walked over to Danni and tapped her on the shoulder. "Danni, I know this isn't a good time, but I have something I have to say. I want to take a test. I don't care what it is, I want to prove I'm strong enough to help out. I know there's an investigation into Colton's disappearance, Errol has made that much clear, but they don't tell me anything other than they're close. I want to show you that I'm strong enough to do something, that I should be kept in the loop, so please...let me take The Test" she begged, before taking a deep breath.

"And when I pass...I'm going to get Colton back for us, even if I have to tear this city apart piece by piece"

    Name: Zane Wynter
    Age:: 22
Personality: Cool, calm and collected most of the time unless a friend is in danger. Somewhat upbeat, and exceptionally loyal.
History: Zane was always a protector of those he cared about. It was a blessing for the most part, his friends and family often feeling safe, but it quickly became a curse. Skadi Wynter, his older sister, went missing. A young boy went to look through the home as he heard thumping around in the rooms nearby him, with nothing to defend himself with aside from the wooden sword he played with so much.

He found Skadi, only to hear her scream out to him as she told him to run, before a shadow swept across the room, faster than Zane could blink. In seconds, the shadow had vanished along with Zane's sister, leaving nothing but an empty room and a feeling of immediate failure inside Zane's heart.

Despite his best efforts, Zane never found anything that could help him find his sister. He did what he could to move on and lead a relatively normal life, applying for college and doing his best to further his studies. Eventually, he became aware of a club at Theorem College, a club that was formed to find out what happened to the people missing. Without hesitation, he signed up, not willing to miss his chance to discover the truth.

Weaknesses: Exceptionally reckless when a friend is in danger, can't swim, and overlooks things.

"Nah, even the strong willed get knocked over. It's a bit of a curse, unfortunately, but kinda an awesome one sometimes" Hunter said. He then felt a magical sensation in his body, and he began wondering what Gwen was doing. He felt the effects almost immediately. It was a feeling of freedom, a feeling of having more room and-

    He looked down and screamed.

"GINGER WHAT THE ACTUAL **** DID YOU DO AND WHY?" he shouted. He was going to kill her, screw any shipping, she was going to die. Oh wait, everything was okay...for he had the power of Author Authority! Hunter merely pointed down and immediately the changes were undone and things were back to normal. Yes, perfectly normal, he hadn't increased the size whatsoever, it was always that big. Always, don't question this.

However, Gwen decided to comment on the scenery. This was that moment where character development happened wasn't it? And he had to say something all romantic and stuff to win over the female. Despite what Gwen had said, he was getting ideas. He walked over. "It is pretty, very pretty. Me gustan los tacos. Ellos saben bien, especialmente con esa salsa especial que es tan agradable" he said, his voice trailing off as he used the power of exotic language to woo the woman. "Sure is good that nobody's here to interrupt this moment right?"

It was then their moment of peacefulness and other boring things was interrupted by Shrek. And he was pissed off about them invading his swamp. "Ginger, don't look now but..there's another ginger. She emerged from the cave back there and she's shoutin- oh ****. Ginger..Ginger we're done. We just finished the RP, we just won everything, we can go off and bang now, we found the hero!" Hunter exclaimed, grabbing Gwen by the shoulders and shaking her. Turning back to face Shrek, he decided not to let the hero show him up. Clearing his throat, he pointed at the ground and used his power to place a sign there with 'Hunterz swump' written on it. "Oi, Shrek, this is my place, not yours. See? Name on it, right there. You're invading my stuff, so you get out of here and go kick Sapphire's ass for us would ya?" he shouted at the newcomer.

Dane raised an eyebrow. "Thanks? Huh, there's a word I haven't heard in a while. Almost forgot about it. There isn't a need for it, anyhow, I mean I can't have you go around injured or you're going to be about as useful as braindead cannon fodder. Can't have you being like that, can I?" Dane asked rhetorically. While he spoke the truth, there was a small part of him that felt obligated to protect her. He hated everyone, he wanted just about everyone dead, but this girl was one of few that had survived his wrath. She would die eventually, of that he was sure, but...what harm was there in prolonging that just a little longer? Standing up, he picked up his scythe. "Enough talking though, we need to get to work. Gotta train you and all but hey, somewhere there's this hero guy. May as well search around here" Dane said. They were in a barren and very much dead area, but he knew exactly where they were. He was at the Keyblade Graveyard. If there was anything that could be called a battleground of legends, it was there; and maybe, just maybe, it had a hint to where a fallen hero of legend remained.

Uh, Misty, I'm not sure if you remember but Sven's the reindeer. I don't think Anna's going for that kinda thing. I mean, if she does then good for her but I can't see it.

As for the sequel itself, i'm not excited about it at all. Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoyed Frozen, but I think it's one of those films that had its time and now needs to stop before they ruin it.

"You've got nothing to be sorry for. Thanks for helping, I'll go find her..I just hope she's alright" Caleb said as he stood up. He should talk to Thea, but he wasn't sure how good of an idea it was. From what he'd heard, the girl was fairly unstable and posed a threat. If he went to ask her, who knew what would happen? Then it occurred to him; Thea was from Ezekiel's guild. Damn he was slow. Leaving Silvia on her own, he made for the exit of the guild hall and headed out in search of Skadi.

"You know she's alright but you don't know where she is? You don't even know how she was on the mission, do you? If what Mizuki said is true, then you don't have a clue about how she's been since she left, how could you possibly know she's alright?" Caleb asked. Perhaps he was overreacting, in all likelihood he probably was, but he was worried. Paranoia was a dangerous thing indeed. At that point, he heard a loud scream come from a distance. It sounded odd, not quite terrified pain but something else entirely, but a scream was a scream. "Forgive me for what I'm about to do. Danger, must save" the boy stated, before taking off towards the dorms. He hurried to the fork and then turned towards the girls dorms. Apologising to all the girls he passed as he ran, he hurried by them and pinpointed where roughly the sounds were coming from.

He found the door that lead to the roof. It was odd, having a door to a roof in a castle, and it didn't make much sense...but there it was. Opening the door, he rushed through it to see something that he had most certainly not expected. Two naked women, going at it like the horniest of horny rabbits. Well, that explained the screaming, and they didn't look like they were in danger. Quickly, Caleb realized he had been staring for just a moment, but that moment brought immense guilt as he was a taken man. Worse than that, Silvia was there. She was Skadi's friend, maybe she'd know something about her disappearance? "Avert your eyes!" Caleb exclaimed as he dove forward and put his hands over Silvia's eyes. He waited a moment, and then spoke up. "Have you seen Skadi?" he asked quietly.

Skadi had reached the castle without too much trouble. What was better than that was she'd found the dolls Thea had been talking about, or at least what she assumed were those dolls. She had searched the rest of the castle and had found no other dolls, so they had to be them. The trip there had been relatively straightforward, she had avoided the main roads and fought off one small group of bandits. Skadi had almost expected Ezekiel's group to be there, but they were not, thankfully. Grabbing the dolls, she paused for a moment as she put them into the small bag she had with her. There were 8 of the dolls, and since she'd searched the other rooms this had to be all of them, but were they enough to help repair the gap that had been made between them?

As Skadi began walking back to Sapphire Eclipse, she made sure to take the route back that she had taken to get there, but she wasn't as focused. She had the strap of the bag slung around her shoulder, but her hands weren't holding the bag. Skadi was working on the first of two gifts she was making for Thea. She was holding one of the dolls in front of her and working her ice magic to create a dress of ice around the small figure. Once she had finished that, she moved onto the next one; the more difficult one by far..she hoped it would be worth it.

Hunter crossed his arms and thought about the invitation from Gwen. Holding up fingers as he mentally counted his options, he came to a grand total of 4. He could say no, he could say yes, he could completely ignore the post, or he could change the topic. "Ginger, if I took you to dinner, you'd never be able to say I owe you again. One night with me is more than any one woman can ever get over, but sure why not. I mean, gotta find the hero and stuff first, but that shouldn't take too much longer. Plot says it's soon" he stated, before turning around and pointing a finger straight at the computer screen. "And don't you get any ideas of killin' me off, I'm survivin' this RP, glory points and all that crap" he warned.

Facing Gwen again, he could see that she was trying to find a way out of the lab. Fortunately for her, Hunter's power of RNG had given him Absolute Strength for the post, and he was about to put it to good use. "One escape route, coming right up" Hunter declared, before lunging forward and punching the wall in front of him. The entire wall exploded, breaking into small pieces of rubble from the sheer force and launching far away, off into the distance. As the smoke cleared, Hunter was still standing in the same pose, but stood up straight. "Holy **** that was awesome! I hope I get that power when the boss comes, they'll be so screwed" he exclaimed. Noticing there was a man beating up trees, Hunter wandered over to him. "No no, you're doing it all wrong, you gotta do it like this" he said as he uppercut the living **** out of the tree and sent it flying up into the sky, ejecting it out of the world. Damn he was loving that power. If he didn't end the post, he could have the power forever. He'd never have to fight a boss ever again, they'd all just di-

Dane took a seat next to Alisia. She hadn't done particularly well, and he had hit her whenever she had screwed up, but she hadn't done nearly as bad as he had thought. He nodded. "For the moment, yeah. You know, if you'd been practicing this hard for the last couple of years you might actually be somewhat...i'm not going to say threatening, but..not completely defenceless. Course, you don't need to really be able to defend yourself too much, I just figure it might help. I take good care of my things, so I won't let anybody kill you. You won't need to worry, if any enemies pop up your master will kill them all" he said with a slight chuckle. Reaching into his coat, he pulled out a potion and held it out to Alisia. "Drink this, it'll help you heal a little faster. If you're going to practice, you gotta be able to stand, and I don't think it's going to happen if you've got broken bones" the shadow reaper said. He hadn't intended on breaking any bones earlier, but with Alisia's movements getting sloppier and sloppier whenever she leaned in a certain direction, chances were there were a few injuries he hadn't intended on.

Caleb had a grim look on his face indeed as he arrived on the space ship. It didn't look like any ships he'd been in, but then again he hadn't been in many. Either way, it didn't matter what it looked like. So long as the space ship could take them to wherever the hero may be, it could look like absolutely anything and Caleb wouldn't care. He only wanted this hero to be found, to be released, and then he wanted to be let loose on Dane. No matter what Dane did to him he wouldn't stop and he wouldn't give up. He was going to run his blade through Dane's throat, and he was going to make sure he suffered.

Audrey had followed her father without a word through the dark corridor. Stepping into the darkness again wasn't a nice thought, but after being in the realm of darkness for so long she wasn't too afraid of it. Besides, she trusted her father. She trusted he would protect her, as he always had. Although, the words that the others had said had placed some worry in her mind. Her mother being killed was something she was still struggling not to cry about, what would it be like if Caleb gave into his hate? Reaching up, she poked Caleb in the back with her finger. "Are they right, dad? Are you going to go away? Are you going to give into the darkness" she asked, her voice very quiet and full of worry.

Snapping out of his thoughts, Caleb looked down at his daughter, who was gazing at him with concern in her eyes. He wanted to reassure her, but how was he meant to do that when he couldn't reassure himself? Better to tell her the truth and hope she understood. Audrey was naive, but she usually understood what he meant pretty well. Bending down, he looked right into her eyes. "I don't know, Audrey. If I have to give into the darkness to make things right, to rid the worlds of people like him, then maybe. But no matter what, I'm not going anywhere. You're not losing both of your parents, I promise. I'll always be here to protect you, to keep you safe from harm. Don't worry so much" he said, forcing a smile and ruffling Audrey's hair a little. "This spaceship could take a while to get where it's going, if it ever reaches there. Feel like doing some exploring?" he asked, and was relieved to see an excited nod from his daughter.

Well, Yen Sid had been all kinds of not-very-helpful. It was okay though, because he gave them a kickass sash that made Glen's magical power feel stronger! With this, his magic stat might finally hit double digits! However, he wasn't going to equip it; he liked his current accessories too much to abandon it. So he just jumped through the portal that had been made.

Appearing outside of the portal just as Kaida discovered Yen Sid was turned to stone, he tried not to laugh at her reaction. "You didn't hear? How have we gone all this time without somebody telling you? I wonder why I didn't tell- oh right, it was probably because you were encouraging my death. Yeah, Yen Sid's a statue now, that's one of the reasons we're after that book that Mickey took" he said simply, explaining very little.

As Gaius' fist connected with Boreal, he felt the blow hit home. It wasn't going to stop there though, he wasn't going to stop until the man was downed. If they failed, everyone else was dead. This wasn't just a battle for their lives, this was a battle for everyone else's, too. Caleb's, Skadi's, and all the rest back at the guild as well as Britney and his mother. Two of them he had no idea where they were, but he'd find them. He'd win the battle there, and he would find them one day. And until that day, he wasn't going to die. "You can summon as many things as ya like, but we ain't going to stop. You're just like Ezekiel was, tryin' to get too much power and letting it all go to your head, and you're going to be beaten to a bloody pulp here and now, just like he will be eventually and just like anyone else will that threatens me or my friends!" Gaius shouted, flying straight towards Boreal and attempting to slam his fist into him once more.

Gaius used Quick Blitz on Boreal!

Caleb was annoyed by everything going on. Someone was seeming as though she were challenging the guild leader, something that should never happen in a guild. The guild would tear itself apart and that would be the end of it. However, he did partially agree with Mizuki. Evanora, for all the words she spoke of caring about them, had really done nothing. He hadn't seen her with them, and from the sounds of it she hadn't been with the other group either. She was here too, so she wasn't with Galuna. There was letting people learn on their own, and then there was throwing them into incredibly dangerous situations to sink or swim.

More worrying than this, for Caleb at least, was the fact that Skadi wasn't anywhere in sight. Her group had returned, but she had not. Had something happened to her? He had to know. Walking straight up to Evanora, he knew that directly confronting her would be a bad idea. "Master, I'm glad to see everyone returned safely but I noticed Skadi isn't back. Do you know what happened to her and why she isn't here? It's not like her to be late to...well, anything" he stated. This was the question he dreaded asking, or rather he was scared of what the answer may be. "Is she...alive?" he asked.

Skadi was very much alive. Physically she was fine, save for the scorch marks on her arm from Thea's outburst, but emotionally not so much. She couldn't stop thinking about the mission they'd finished. Fairies had died, as had prince eric, and she had been unable to do anything about it. The girl hadn't said a word to anybody since the fairies had died, she'd merely followed, and she hoped they hadn't noticed her absence in battles. She could still feel the warmth of Thea's flames along her arms, and everytime she had tried to use her magic it had either completely failed or had been difficult for her to control. The truth was she was scared. Skadi was terrified of her own magic, but more than that she was terrified of not being able to use it effectively. If she couldn't use her magic, what reason was there to be in the guild, and how would she be able to help others?

So while the others had been returning to the guild hall, Skadi had slipped away. She wasn't sure how sneaky she had been, for all she knew someone may have seen her, but she had set herself a task. Thea had caused great suffering to her, but the little girl hadn't done so intentionally. Despite everything, Skadi wanted to help her. Thea was scared and probably felt very alone in the guild, she may have even thought everyone hated her. Skadi wanted to show her that even though she had hurt her, even though she had caused her to be a little distant, there was no reason they couldn't still be friends; that she wasn't going to be left out in the dark to suffer without someone there for her.

Skadi had promised to get Thea's dolls, and get them she would. She was aware of the fact that travelling on her own came with dangers, and that if any of the guild members from Ezekiel's guild were still around she may very well be walking into a trap, but a promise was a promise. No matter how hurt she was, no matter how upset it made her, she would keep her promise to her friend. Climbing to the peak of a hill, she could see Ezekiel's castle. It wasn't close, but it wasn't too far. She would go in, get the dolls, and get back. If she could do that, if she could be helpful to just one person, then maybe she would feel better.

And if she failed, nobody would notice her missing anyway.

Tobias gazed at the gloves, but continued listening to Cynthia. He may not have looked as though he was listening, but he was doing so very closely. "As long as I can remember, I've never seen you actually hang 'round anybody except Jason. You isolate yourself, I figured you were an only child but eh I was a little curious. Thing is, Cynth, you're not the only one who has run into people with powers. I mean, we do it a fair bit because of our job, but even before I was a part of Raven Sun I did" the boy stated. Gesturing towards one of his gloves, he glanced quickly at his temporary partner. "Probably haven't even thought of where I got these or why I use them, have ya? Must seem pretty stupid using regular claws, nothing special about them, when we're against people with psychic powers in an age where guns and other firearms dominate combat, right?" he said. With a light chuckle, he pressed the button on them and the claws stuck out. The boy stepped over to Cynthia and held up one of the clawed gloves for her to see, right in front of her face. At the bottom were two letters; an A and a G, right next to each other.

"Adam Greipr. I'd be surprised if you knew his name, not many did. He was always the favourite of our family. I'd get kicked and beaten, he'd get praised and rewarded. He was the assassin of our family, not me. I hated him for it, kinda still do. One day he really got under my skin, he said some things that pissed me off quite a lot and we got into a fight. You've never seen me use knives, have you? If you think I'm good with these things, you should see me with those, though I can see why you'd find it hard to think I can get any better. Nah, I used knives against my brother, he used these things. He was trying to kill me, I could see it in his eyes. He saw me as a dissappointment, as a waste of space, and he hated me for it...he thought that if I was gone he'd have even more priviliges, arrogant prick. Except his arrogance made him cocky, and I stabbed him right in the gut. Cut his heart clean out and held it in front of him as he died" Tobias stated grimly.

"One thing I hadn't known about him was he'd had powers. The guy had telekinesis, which explained why he was so good with killing people. But that got me wondering why he hadn't used it against me, why he'd lost and not used his trump card. The idiot had cared. Not enough to show it, but on some level he wanted me to live, he couldn't go through with killing me. The feeling wasn't mutual, and he died because of his stupidity. Never get attached to people, the moment you do is the moment you've signed your own death warrant. May as well hand yourself over to some psychotic psychic guy and let him have his way" he finished. However, there wasn't a frown or even a look of seriousness on his face. Rather there was a smile, as though he were happy or found something amusing. "See you later, kid" he said quietly to himself, echoing his brother's dying words.

Lucas showed no visible reaction to anything he'd heard Colton say, nor had he shown any reaction to anything Shane had said. Both had his mind working faster though, had his interest peaked for certain. Shane was exactly as Lucas imagined most of those with powers to be; a killer. He'd murdered plenty of people and had gotten away with it, but that was going to change. Sooner or later, Lucas would find a time where Shane wasn't a subject there, where he was out in the open, and then he would die.

Colton, however, had mentioned a name. Errol. Had Lucas not known the name, he would've been investigating it due to it being the first piece of information he himself had heard from the boy, the first name person he'd mentioned that he knew outside of their little lab. The investigator did know that name though. Errol was on Raven Sun's watchlist, he was sure of it, and that made Colton's mistake even more important. Kye was signalling him, signalling she'd caught onto something. Undoubtedly it would be the mention of Errol. Stepping over to her, he grabbed her arm lightly and gently pulled her to the side, far enough away that if they kept their voices down people shouldn't be able to hear. "Errol's on your watchlist, and I did hear the boy mentioning his name. I need you to tell me everything you know about him, and I need you to do it now" Lucas instructed.

Shane wasn't sure how to react. He'd been sure Lyle would have a way to help him, but unless he wanted his powers gone there wasn't anything he could do. Did he want his powers gone? He wasn't sure. They had caused great pain, and he had no doubt they would again but did he truly want them just completely gone? People would be safer if they were but...they were as much a part of him as any aspect of his personality. "I was certain you would know but...I guess you don't. I suppose i'll just have to get help elsewhere" he replied. A bore and useless to me. I suppose you're my best shot then, Isabella, Shane sent to the telepath. However, he heard a cough from behind him.

Turning around to see what the noise was, he saw Colton, watching him. The boy wandered over to Colton and crouched down on the other side of his prison. "You know, if you wanted to say hi you could have just said it rather than stalking me with your eyes" he said in a joking tone. "Are you sure you should be awake like that? You look just a little sick, and your eyes show tiredness, shouldn't you be resting than simply sitting up? In either case, my name's Shane. Shane Ware, newest addition to this little circus of freaks we've got going here" Shane said, introducing himself.

Tobias followed Cynthia over to her small desk. "Shame about that, knowing someone living with powers would've been useful for this. Ah well, like you said, internet knows everything. There's nothing a quick google search can't solve" he said simply. "Hey Cynthia, serious question here, but have you ever had any siblings?" he questioned, looking at the gloves on his hands as though there was something fascinating about them.

Christie hadn't followed. As Jex had been taken away, she had wanted to follow but she felt it wasn't her place. Errol had told her to wait there, and wait there she would, she didn't want to make a mess of things anymore than she already had. Wordlessly, the girl began picking up the things she had launched at Ryan and placed them back where they belonged.

Lucas crossed his arms at Kye's teasing. "Someone most certainly does not need a hug" he said simply. Looking at Colton, he wondered how much longer the kid would survive. If he kept going the way he was, not long, and if he couldn't learn to let someone go when they were on the verge of death then he would last even less. Lucas had learned a long time ago not to become attached to people, and while he didn't fantasise about the idea of murdering innocent people to advance himself he didn't have much of a problem either. "She'll be fine. Lyle doesn't let his experiments die so easily, don't get so worked up over it" he called out to Colton, offering genuine words of reassurement. He didn't care if Colton died, but if their best chance of finding a way to counteract those with powers went and died because of a poor emotional state, Lucas would be very annoyed indeed.

"For science, of course", he sent back to Isabella. As Lyle asked why he had wanted to see him, Shane tried to send him the same memory that he had sent Isabella, but that didn't seem to be working. Apparently anti-telepathy was a common thing here. "A little under a year ago, there was a mass suicide. They say there was a pact made by many people and on one particularly grim evening they all killed themselves, each taking a bullet to the skull by their own doing, with the ringleader...a man by the name of Johnathan Ware, suffering a horrific mental injury due to the stress he was under from his wife's incurable disease and his own brain shutting down. There was only one survivor, and that was me. It...wasn't a suicide pact, it was my doing. I made them want to end their lives, and I struck down my father when he confronted me over it. Sir, I need help. I can control my powers, what I can't control is the darker side of my personality, and I need to understand why things work the way they do. I found out about you from a few people working for the government, and they were under the impression you were the best of the best. Can you help me?" Shane pleaded, no longer appearing calm but instead displaying the raw emotion that memory brought with it.
