It's magic. Given that the demons in the series can regenerate at will in many cases, something as rare as the Fire Rat likely has the same properties (which would also explain why after it's damaged it becomes whole again). I mean, Tetsusaiga can go from being a rusty piece of junk to the full form in seconds in InuYasha's hands because of the demon power, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is the case. Also story convenience, but yeah. I think it's one of the things we're not meant to think about too hard, lol.

Official movie poster: Spoiler This really looks great to me so far, even if the teaser wasn't much it definitely gives the feel of the books. The characters look quite accurate, as does the setting so far, and the main reason I have faith is that Susane Collins herself adapted the book for the screenplay, with assistance from director Gary Ross. The sequel Catching Fire is also going to happen. tl;dr I'm really really excited. Also that is Rue's four-note tune at the end (though it's cut off in this video). But yeah, thoughts/opinions/etc.?

I'm getting hit pretty bad right now and the hurricane's not actually here yet. Very heavy rain, streets are flooding, crazy wind and lightning, and my power's flickering. They weren't exaggerating this too much on the news it seems, if nothing's hit you yet definitely pay attention to your local news. My dog is doing stuff like staying under tables and in corners so I'm taking that as a sign that the worst of this is yet to come. I do have enough supplies to last me a few days but yeah, power's probably not gonna last too much longer.
