Obviously, you have issues. There is nothing wrong with something you like. It's how the people look at it. They think it's a freak thing to like anime/manga. I'm hated at my school for that as well (we have an anime club.) If they taunt you of what you love, they are freaks. They have no say in this. Only you can decide whether you accept their saying or your own.

You don't deserve the punishment he gives you. It's his fault for what he chose. If you REALLY hate his steam, convince him for a better job then.
Start of with FFX or FFVII (VERY good both of them) IF you're in the femalish type, go for FFX-2 (although storyline can get shuffled if u didn't play FFX)
I own the PS3 and I'd say it's better for a couple reasons: Xboxlive needs P2P while PSN is F2P, Ps3 has WAY better graphics, has built in Blu-ray player, and expensive it is, it's worth it. Even my friends who has XBox 360s wants a PS3 XD
