I believe so. I like to think we're all part of this giant web, and if something happens to just a tiny part of the web, everyone's affected by it. Every thing is one with what surrounds them, in some manner shape or form. I'm slightly biased as this is what my religion (Wicca) centers around, the balance of energy and all living things, and the interconnectedness of it all, but I believed that long before I converted.
I've got one like that on my DS called Dark Motives. Beat the silly thing in two days. Waste of $25, I say. Oh well. I got my Grissom-y goodness, so it was all good.
I still have a copy of the Twits and James and the Giant Peach somewhere, and I still read them from time to time. I'm also reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory aloud to my elementary students for field study.
I also say my easiest was Pokemon Snap. Picture-taking, yay. Throwing apples at things, yay. Running over a Vulpix with my car...yay? Hardest...err...heh heh...Majora's Mask. I got that game when it first came out. Years later I still haven't beaten it. Three days to try and beat temples n stuff just isn't enough. And all those stupid mask sidequests...I know you have to do them, but some of them were just horrendous (I'm looking at you, Couples Mask).
That teacher should have asked the parents if they could chaperone the child on the trip. This is disgusting. It's people like this who give the rest of us teachers a bad name.
Speak to an adult, be it a teacher, assistant principal, or the principal him/herself. Someone needs to know that this person has been bullying you and that you don't feel as safe as you should. Your safety is their job. Let them handle it. And don't drag your friends into this, it could get ugly. Maybe instead ask them to watch your back and side with you in case something goes down, so your side of the story is heard (in case the bully tries to pull some story out his keister to frame you).
I'm still eagerly awaiting this to come out on DVD. I loved this show, but I hated the ep with the vacuum. What was it called? Suck-O-Matic?
Sadly, I believe my first R film was for school, and I was in high school at the time. I want to say it was either Amistad or Last of the Mohicans, but my memory escapes me. I also have a nagging feeling that Mohicans wasn't R, but I can't remember that either. I know, I know, this is sad, but my parents were - er, are - the type that were so strict that God help me if I went just a tad over the line.
Every morning there's a halo hanging from the corner of my girlfriend's four-post bed, I know it's not mine but I'll see if I can use it for the weekend or a one-night stand... Also.... WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?
OH Sh- Pagemaster. Can't believe I forgot that one. I loved the horror book, he killed me as a kid. Brave Little Toaster doesn't count as Disney, does it? Because that was another one I missed. I always thought Kirby the vacuum was like my dad a little bit.
Oh, oops. I hope my post didn't come off like that...I was just tossing it out there that this was something I started doing in high school and found out that it really worked for me. I just can't do the "run 6 miles three times a week" thing.
Ah. Makes sense to me. I guess I'll celebrate by pulling out my oversized striped hat and wearing it all day.
According to Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today show. Don't ask why I was watching; I'm stalling between classes and had nothing better to do. I never new such a holiday existed. Why was I not informed of this before?
Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, you mean? That movie was awesome. There was a rapping fruit bat. XD Drat, the song's stuck in my head now..."The name is Batty, the logic is erratic" I'm going to go with Balto, I have a soft spot for huskies and wolves and that movie was chock full of them.
I'm really really really sorry to hear this. I went through the same thing three years ago when a local teen near me was snatched up while he was walking home from school. His body was found two wees later a mile from where he disappeared. He wasn't a close friend in our group, but there were ties, and they were pretty strong, so hearing about him getting murdered was a huge blow. Just saying I know where you're coming from, and that I'm always around if you need an Internet hug. Let's hope they catch the guy and punish him to the fullest extent of the law.
Heh. I'm doing a group guided reading lesson with a few students in my field study school using this book. We just finished Frindle, and I usually let them pick what they want to read as a group next, and this was it.
Whoa. What are you on right now? And do you have any left?
...a ninja riding a panda bear isn't enough to vanquish the mighty Cthulu, but a clown wielding a blowtorch is. And the Yeti eats bras. Just sayin'. I love this game.
Upgrade your health insurance? You might need it; not sure if "bodily harm led on by disclosing spoliers" is an actual clause...
Ah. I suppose I thought wrong. (or I just need new friends, all of 'em say my music sucks)
