^This. First thing I did when my mom complained her Vista-laptop was running slow was upgrade her memory. Cost me less than $40 to upgrade her to 8 GB of RAM, the max her laptop can hold. Only took ten minutes to install too. Also OP, I forgot to mention in my first post that you should try to clear your cache. You say your computer freezes mostly when you're on the internet; this could be because temporary internet files from past log-ins get saved to your computer, and the next time you log in the comp is more likely to pull the old stuff, which can cause hang ups and freezing. To clear it (this is for XP; I think it might be the same in Vista): 1. Click 'Start'; choose 'Control Panel' 2. Click on 'Internet Options' 3. On the General Tab, under 'Browsing History' there should be a button that says 'Delete'. Click it 4. I leave my cookie unchecked; this makes sure the wizard doesn't clear my log-in info. Check the Temporary Internet Files, History, Form Data and then press Delete This usually works, you could also try a Disk Defragmenter scan to see if there are any fragmented files floating around.
I'm corrupting the innocent minds of young children. No. In all seriousness, this is my last year of college and I'm finishing up a bachelor(ette)'s degree in Elementary Education. By the time I am done I will be able to teach in any school system in my state and in any grade from 1-6. I'm double-majoring this with Spanish so I can also be an ESL teacher, because they are in short supply and high demand in my state right now. I already have three job offers and I'm not even out yet.
Not sure if this is any real sort of news, but I had stopped in to Gamestop today to pick up Layton and the Diabolical Box and saw their DS Download stations were offering 358/2 Days. As I didn't have my Lite with me at the time, I'm not sure if this is a trailer/movie thing of the game or an actual demo you can download and play with in store until the game is released. Perhaps somebody can look into this?
Do you have any toolbars installed in your browser(s)? If so, how many? I ask this because I've seen many a student come into the ITS lab with a slow computer, and there's 10 toolbars installed in Firefox. Also, you didn't post the ram, processing speed, and memory. Post memory usage too (what's free on your hard drive compared to it's total capacity).
To tell the truth, I think they'll be using his name as a means of selling the reform because he was so involved with it, which to me is horribly wrong. I feel like they are going to use the whole idea of the reform as a sort of tribute to Ted to get it passed. What's the term? Sympathy card? I'm not sure if that's right, but the Dems might try to use his death to sway the votes in favor of the reform.
Mine's too complicated to post, being a funky college schedule and all, but I will go on ahead and brag that my school days don't start until 11:30 am. I'm taking: Science, Social Studies and Special Needs Mathematics with Field Study III Spanish Diction and Intonation Controversial Spanish Cinema And Thursdays I teach a full day at an area elementary school The first two will get me licensed to teach in an elementary school classroom by the time I am done taking them. Thursdays give me a means with which to practice what I've learned in lecture.
Mine's been kicking for four years, and it was a refurb.
The only taste water tends to have is whatever's been added to the stuff. If you drank some of the water from where I live, most of the time it kind of tastes like you just licked a doorknob, it's such a metallic taste. Adding those powders to it doesn't help for me, either. I feel like I'm drinking Alka Seltzer or something if I do.
I've always wanted a girl, and I'd name her Crystal. I figured raising a girl would be much easier simply because if she's got questions about how she's growing and developing, I'd actually be able to answer. It's kind of hard to discuss the Great Change with someone of the opposite gender.
Hey Styx, Felt this thread needs moving: http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=88695
This is in the wrong forum. We have a whole section designated for Kingdom Hearts discussion. This section is for real-world debates. I'm gonna see if I can't find a staffer to relocate this...
"Terminal prostate cancer"? Please. Just cut his nuts off and send him back in. He wasn't compassionate towards those 70; he doesn't deserve any compassion for his balls.
Morgada, I think? Can't remember... And she didn't get killed, she got frozen in a ginormous ice cube. XD

My last great joke I learned from a friend on DeviantART and got a few people to join in with me. We all washed out and cleaned old deodorant stick holders (the plastic things), melted down a bunch of white chocolate, made new "sticks" to fit in the holders, then put the new sticks in the fridge to harden up. The next day at lunch we all took our sticks out and started eating them, getting odd looks from the rest of the group that wasn't in on the joke. We even offered them a couple of bites, claiming that it was "reallly good".
See I make mistakes so often nowadays that if someone corrects me, I'll either not notice it or it just doesn't bother me and I just say "Oh, thanks." If anything, it's hurts the correcter more because by that point they'll have made so many corrections it's not worth it anymore.
Oh trust me, sometimes we've got to bend over backwards and take it up the rear just to get a few hundred for our budget from SGA, but the school barely recognizes us as it is. We've had more room changes over the years than any other club. The events, however, aren't school-wide functions, just special nights we host four our club members. We've tried to see if we could screen Miyazaki films as a school-wide event to no avail.
I'm in an anime club at school, and we've just had our 30th member join. I think what made us so successful was we did more than just screen anime. We've had events on Japanese holidays, had a Japanese game night, held several traditional tea ceremonies and even had cosplay workshops before major cons. And when we did show anime we always tried to show different genres and picked animes no one had heard of before over the ones that everyone knows about, like Death Note or Bleach. Why are people against it? It could be seen as nerdy, because most of us in our club are also avid video and table top gamers. Maybe it's also kind of immature, because in essence we are watching cartoons (heck, we've screened both Pokemon the First Movie and Digimon the Movie in our club). But you know, you like what you like, and truth be told we are the second largest club on campus aside from Student Government.
I work in the cafeteria at my college either serving up hot meals or making sandwiches in the deli. I also have a job at the local pool store as a cashier/sales rep/water "wizard".
This always works for me. Also, if you have a laptop and can eject the drive somehow (mine has a button that ejects the drive completely, as in take it out), try that to refresh it. If you've ejected it before in that manner, check the pins and make sure they aren't bent or anything like that because if any of them are that means the signal to pop open the drive isn't getting processed correctly.
