Yea. I don't remember much of it. Just that involved a plant in my family tree, and aliens. Many of my dreams involve aliens. Probably because I read too much sci-fi.
No, I was saying, even people you've never seen, with names you've never heard, could be family members in a dream, if your mind wants them to be. Heck, I've dreamed of a plant relative before. A frikkin' plant!
I do kind of agree with this. I mean, I know pwilliard has been editing for 3 years now, but it seems like, just because he has seniority, he gets all the love. In his position, as sort of an icon, he should be finding new people and introducing them to more people through his channel. It would be expected if this were offline, that someone like that, someone that famous would be a mentor. I mean, I respect the guy, I like his work, but it seems like he could do a lot more for the little guy, rather than attracting everyone to him. I mean, even with my limited popularity, I've directed people to good editors in the past, including him. I'm not trying to bash him, I'm not trying to criticize him, I'm just trying to offer a small fry's perspective.
It sounds like you're already being replaced, slowly. I would look for another job, but not quit until you find one (the economy being what it is, there are very few jobs out there). At this stage in your life, don't worry about fulfillment. Just do what you have to to get the money you need for college, then go into a field that makes you happy.
It's the same as how people know, in a dream, that someone is a family member even though they've never met them. Your brain knows, somehow. I must admit, I have preconceptions about what the people on this site look like, based on how they talk (and from looking at the "post your picture" thread). Most of them are probably wrong, but they exist nonetheless.
Haz/stardust - as I stated before, I, at least, don't think he is either A) the best or B) undeserving of his subbers. I think he's a talented AMV creator who, through some sheer fluke of fate, has amassed more subscribers than anyone else, and he continues to release quality videos once in a while. I understand he has some sort of real life to interfere with his editing, making his releases come less often. He was one of the reasons I started editing, and gave me valuable tips. I have seen better, and I have seen far, far worse. He is upper-middle tier, if there is such a scale, and I do enjoy his stuff. It does suck, however, that his account has been deleted, since he doesn't have all of his vids on his computer anymore. I don't have all of mine, either, so I would be in a smaller version of his boat, if I got deleted.
you did this in 1 hour? Pff, I can do that in 5 minutes, little kid. That one makes me pissed. I mean, the most criticism I get is from my AMVs (most of it good, since Youtube has very little taste), and I know there are people who can edit faster than I do, with better results. I don't need it rubbed in my face. I just feel like, "I do what I can with the knowledge I have. If you don't like it, don't watch."
As I said, I had to go in the middle of typing. I would have said that, after a while, America (and wherever else adopted that) would be like those African and Polynesian societies - completely unaffected by boobies.
I would personally love it if women could go topless (and not in a sexual way), because it would mean a step away from the Victorian Era and earlier morals that our society still clings to for some reason. The only problem is, as has been pointed out, that if women did start to go topless, men would go nuts over it, and cases of rape or attempted rape would probably skyrocket. People who, up till that point, had only fantasized about it would find themselves faced with a terrible temptation that they may not be able to resist. And now I have to stop typing because my mom is going apeshit insane over me being on here. I'll edit this if I can remember what to type after I get back.
The fact that tobacco was once hallucinogenic, so it probably still has some kind of effect like that. Just speculating, really. I mean, take that much of anything with similar effects, and you'll feel pretty crappy. Probably.
http://www.youtube.com/user/childofturin WMM and Vegas vids. I'm not as good as I want to be, but others say I'm good. Also, animaniagirl, how good is dailymotion?
Well, smoke 2 cigarettes at a time, continuously, for an entire day. I bet you anything you'll feel pretty awful afterward, and you'll possibly be hallucinating. But that's a rare situation.
They're bred for food. That's part of the slaughtering process. The boiling probably kills germs. And, how else should they kill them? Wait for old age, when the meat is no longer tender? They have to kill them somehow. It's not like they're intelligent.
Eat at cookout if you have one near you. It's a lot more food for a slightly higher price. Every cookout burger is twice as big as a McDonalds burger.
so... never do either of them? No-brainer, IMO.
I laugh at Peta whenever I hear about them. I mean, if we didn't eat meat, what would all the cows, chickens, and other animals being bred for food be used for? You know, plants are alive too! Why don't we just not eat anything? Plant rights! Cabbage is murder!
This. Guns are cowardly. Anyone willing to take a life has to be strong enough to look into their victims eyes as they die.
I may not know what the effects of most of those are, but I'll tell you this: I would not want to be putting that many harmful chemicals into my body, in any quantity.
Yea, I'd just like to add to my point earlier - one glass of wine per day has actually been clinically proven to help you (I don't remember if it helps brain function or heart function. I'm thinking heart, though). I can't think of a single good thing that a cigarette does for you. I mean, they make those things with tar, tobacco (once a hallucinogenic drug the same as pot), and various other poisons, including (I think) cyanide. Ingesting a poisonous plant doesn't make sense to animals, so why should it make sense to us? Now, I know, alcohol, in sufficient quantities is bad, too. It causes liver problems, it causes mental deficiencies( especially while drunk), it kills brain cells, impairs motor functions, and makes you do generally stupid shit. But all that is without moderation. As I said, one glass of wine (normal sized glass) per day helps you. More than that harms you. One puff of a cigarette, though, is always bad for you. /preachy rant that everyone's heard before. /tl;dr
Perhaps this applies, in certain situations. Extenuating circumstances don't happen that often, but should be taken into account when they do occur. Rules aren't "made" to be broken, but sometimes they can be broken in the right way. Besides, some rules are outright silly. For instance, in one state, it is illegal to cross the state line with ice cream in your back pocket.
