It's acceptable in certain circumstances, as I've said - at home (alone or with siblings), with friends, as an intensifier, etc; but it's NOT acceptable, IMO, at work, to authorities (teachers, bosses, ESPECIALLY police), to parents, etc.

I know I'm not attractive. If someone likes me, in any way, it'll be for ME, not for some fake image that I project about myself. I am an archaeologist, not a businessman, not an athlete, not a movie star. I will look like an archaeologist (don't you dare mention Indiana Jones - he's a treasure hunter), not something I'm not. I feel no need to dress myself up for society.

I'm having a thought here - you and Farore are the same person (maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't matter). Now, some woman, probably your mommy, has your ass in a sling at home, and since your absolutely powerless to do anything about it, being the weakling you are, you come here to blow off some steam about how "pathetic" women are. Women were giving birth to all those men. Women were, in prehistoric times, growing the food for all those men. Women have done more for our society than men ever have. AND, women never started a war. Wars were started over them, but they never started them.

Even if you saw everyone you know at one time die, you could conceivably take joy in your future generations of your family (children, grandchildren, etc) and never have to worry about the problems of age (which I am scared to death of - I never want to get Alzheimer's, or dementia, or anything like that. To lose my brain... it's pretty much the only thing I'm scared of.)

How have you not been banned? This is a serious topic, for serious responses, not the f***ing spam zone. The rest of us are giving real responses, not total **** like you.

1) Once you get your life, you have responsibilities, IMO. You don't get to just "check out". In my mind, there is NO reasonable excuse for suicide. At all. I don't care how sucky your life gets - get over it, get through it, and get on with your life. It can't stay bad forever, no matter what the media (movies, mostly) tell you. As long as you have breath, there is always hope. Who knows, you may actually go on to influence someone's life and cause them to do something great, or you may do something great yourself later. Therefore, I will never commit suicide.

The Military. Think about it - everyone else lives normal lives, almost never putting themselves in danger, waking up and sleeping at normal hours, in normal conditions. Soldiers can get attacked and killed at any hour of the day or night, they live in highly abnormal and, to us, uncomfortable conditions, and they do all of this out of a respect for the freedom of a country that doesn't even have the gratitude to welcome them home or help them assimilate back into civilian life. They are truly my heroes.

I forget the exact numbers, but since the Great Depression, we have been through at least 5 other recessions, none of which ended in depression. We don't HAVE to have a depression. All people need to do is stop being negative, naysaying, and paranoid, and stop listening to a press that feeds off of sensationalism and tragedy. The press would LOVE it if the country were to slip into depression, as that would sell more papers and make more people watch the news.

How about very long life (200+ years) and perpetual youth while alive? IE, you stay the same age and, provided you exercise and sh...tuff, you keep the same level of fitness throughout your life, yet still die eventually. That way, we would have none of the problems associated with age (arthritis, dementia, etc), live for a long time, and yet not live for so long that we get bored with life.


Although, with the comic book villain stuff, that would depend solely on your frame of mind. Yes, you might eventually come to believe that you are worthy to rule them, or you could fall into a teacher figure, and guide and serve all mankind, or just live a normal life, learning many trades, and amassing a MASSIVE amount of cash.

I would love it! Well, if I could make myself BECOME immortal with some kind of treatment or something (future medicine FTW) and choose to become mortal again if life ever became terminally boring (there are only so many things you can do and learn in the world, after all - eventually, you would have done everything - twice). But yes, I would LOVE to be able to live into the future and see what this world will become, see if Mankind ever makes it out of this solar system, etc. Who knows, with all the knowledge that an immortal person would eventually possess, maybe I would be the one to invent the method for leaving the system in the first place!

Ummm, there are black sheep, so it's not like they are OVERTLY characterizing black people (I know they are, but it's not BLATANTLY obvious to children in today's world). I have said it before: Political Correctshit is going to destroy all creative thought in America before it runs it's course.

Actually, because of my interest in religion and anthropology (the broader field of which archaeology is a part), I understood pretty much all of that. Thanks for the input.

I would rather be remembered for something posthumously, or towards the end of my life. Like most great artists. That way, I won't have to put up with the media for too long.

If we move all our cities into the woods/rainforests/grasslands, where would our oxygen come from? And if cities cover too much, there won't be enough farmland to grow our food. Now, I have seen theories and plans for farms in towers, in the middle of cities, but that's 20-30 years off. Until then, we need our wilderness lands. Besides, there have been studies that show that people who experience even a little bit of wilderness (even a park) are better adjusted than those who live in an urban environment forever.

My specialty. I am king of procrastination. I can easily get this thing done in a week, provided I get enough responses (yes, I have other surveys planned, but not for here)
