If I were religious (in the literal sense - believing in higher powers), I would say don't jinx it, but since I'm not, I'll just say "We ain't out of this yet." Yes, it looks good, and yes, I know this would be coming (nothing lasts forever), but don't start celebrating just yet.

If, IF, there is a God, he left after the Big Bang. Everything else that has happened through the entire history of time, has happened by natural means. And don't quote the Bible's "miracles" to me - one source in one book is not proof. The ONLY unexplainable event in the TRUE history of the universe so far is the Big Bang, because the laws of physics break down as we look closer to it. (We can look backwards in time as we look farther in space, because the two are linked. If you want me to explain more, tell me, because I don't feel like typing it all out.) Adam and Eve has been completely disproven by the fossils of Australopithecenes and early Homo species (not homo in the sexual sense, Homo in the taxonomic sense). If Adam and Eve were the first intelligent beings, sprung full-grown form the earth, as fully modern humans, explain the skeleton of Lucy, the Australopithecus Afarensis found in Africa in the late 60s. Or all the thousands of pre-human skeletons found AROUND THE WORLD dating from about 6 million years ago on.

    Dream Job?

Unfortunately, record companies aren't that smart, and I have yet to find any sort of suggestions submissions area for Youtube. To tell the truth, I would prefer it if every record company in existence would shut down, and let the artists decide what to do with their music.

    Dream Job?

Almost every single Linkin Park video is gone from Youtube. Many Dragonforce songs are gone. Same with about a dozen other bands I can name. These are not movie soundtracks - these are real songs that many people love. Youtube and the record companies seem to be going absolutely Nazi on us. I have had at least 8 of my videos claimed, and others have lost more (luckily, I got most of mine back). I really hope that at some point, record companies re-gain their sanity and allow free use to be free again.

I think that, having once been one, and considering the fact that my degree requires me to take a great many courses on religion, culture, and history makes me possibly one of the most qualified people on this site to judge Christians (with the exception of maybe CtR and other archaeologists-in-training). Trust me, I know what I am talking about. God has yet to do anything that in any way helps my life. Everything that has ever happened to me is easily explained by natural laws or psychology. To include god in something that makes perfect sense without him is, in my humble opinion, absolute tripe. It means nothing, and it certainly won't convert any scientifically-minded person.

About your example, if Bob is not a Christian, why would he pray? If he doesn't know that he "has a personal relationship" with god, why does he assume that god will answer?

And now, I am afraid we have gotten completely off topic - partly my fault, but I just wanted to address this issue.

So, if I don't know it's god, and they don't know it's god, how do you know it's god? Maybe, the person with an answer just wanted to answer me? Maybe being nice can happen without "godly" intervention? All these things that Christians attribute to god, maybe they're just the better side of human nature showing through. God doesn't have to be included anywhere in anything for it to happen.

Why would that work? It didn't for 13 years of MY life. God has never once shown himself to me to be anything more than a nonexistent force. I have never felt him, never "heard" him, never experienced him in all my church-going years. I was happier after I abandoned the useless ritual and constraining biblical laws (now horribly out of date) than I EVER was as a Christian.

I can write stuff in a book - does that make it sacred or true? The people who wrote the Bible were HUMAN, not divine. In all likelihood, they may have, shall we say... embellished things, to make it more sensational to the contemporary people. We do that nowadays, who is to say they didn't do it then? This, coupled with the insane number of mistranslations and typos in the bible, from millenia of hand-copying and dodgy translations, make the bible's truth subject, at best, even for Christians.

See if you can get them to lighten up on copyrights. I get about 1 video a week claimed on Youtube (either from my videos or my playlists) due to "copyright violation". Every time, I think "Oh please, Youtube is completely non-profit, fair use clearly applies, how can they claim anything here?"

HOPEFULLY, something will happen to these kids that matures them (No, not that, you perverts!). Maybe high school and college (if these kids go) will make both the kids and parents realize that their kids need to be more serious about life. I doubt it, though. I can see this coming generation running the world into the ground, realizing what they did, and bringing up the next generation (if there is one) better.

Since I have absolutely no experience with high school drama, nor would I ever want any, I just responded with what I did know.

The only improvements I would ever make to myself is I would lose about 150 pounds, and give myself telekinesis. Seriously. I know the last one won't happen, but I can dream. Besides, the mind is basically unknown. Maybe it could allow me to move stuff with my mind. You never know. I would NEVER make myself a different person, though.

It's the parent's fault for letting their kids dress up like that, and to a lesser extent, it's the media's fault for promoting that kind of shallow, materialistic image to kids (through most modern cartoons). Although, the parents also have a responsibility to teach their kids what REALLY matters, and to dispel the media myths.

I swear, some people in this world need to turn in some body parts for failing to be responsible.

    A very good attitude.

I would say, for those particular goals, yes, a general history major, concentrating in whatever area interests you most would be a very good choice, but another career close to that is Anthropology, which is the study of dead and living cultures. Even if you do go in for a history degree, be sure to take some anthropology courses. They'll help a LOT.

First off, if your friend says and means bad things about you, he's probably not really your friend and you would be better off without his dead weight dragging you down.

Second, many of the people's most important people would be labeled, in our society, freaks. Just think about all the people who challenged the worldview of those in power - Copernicus, Galileo, Aristotle, Columbus, Einstein (more a theorist than a challenger, but still) - the list goes on and on. All of them would have been freaks in our time. How about Beethoven (I think it was him), who produced most of his later music while he was nearly deaf! I would be proud to be a freak. I wouldn't tell your insulter that, because it would just make him find something else, but I would know, and that's all that would matter to me.

    Dream Job?

#1) Korean StarCraft ProGamer. Those guys get PAID to sit around and play StarCraft for 10 hours a day (as practice), and they get paid even MORE to play it in front of hot screaming Korean chicks! Unfortunately, no foreigner has ever made it big in Korea (the home of StarCraft ProGaming).

#2) Egyptologist. Seriously, this was my first love, and my first choice for a "real" job. I am actually studying for Ancient Mediterranean archaeology now, so I'll be close to Egypt - close enough for a vacation every now and then, I hope.

#3) Professional student. Honest to God (even though I'm an Atheist, lol) truth. I would LOVE to stay in college forever, on someone else's dime, getting free room and board, and taking every single class that looks remotely interesting.

If you just think yourself how pathetic most insults sound, they really lose their effectiveness. For instance, I was called a nerd all through high school. Whenever I heard someone say that, I just thought about all the great people in the world's history who were nerds (like... Bill Gates? Einstein? Christopher Paolini who is set for life at 25ish?), and thought to myself "I'm in good company".

He said "I wonder if it won't change it's mind", meaning that maybe the Keyblade will think Sora is too weak and disappear, not that he would get it. Besides, it's probably weaker than his sword anyways, despite what Sora does to Sephiroth.
