I agree that the Double FIne Adventure has been mishandled, but can I ask what you mean by Schafer not having experience to back him up? He's been making games almost as long as Inafune and is particularly experienced in the realm of adventure games, having had a hand in lots of classic titles (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle...). Schafer's team is also a team of professional game developers; his studio is responsible for Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, etc. after all. Not disagreeing necessarily, I'm just curious as to why you see Comcept as a significantly different development environment than Double Fine? Unless you mean that Inafune having more business experience specifically gives them an advantage (I would agree there)? Anyway, it's at ~2mil 70k, and at the rate it's going... I'm pretty confident we'll hit the first console stretch goal, but the 3.3 mil for next gen I've gotta wonder about. Things seem to have been slowing down a bit. Just me? Also: Interview with the composer sound nice? 'Course it does. C'mon. You know you want to watch.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA that lasted like two days and I was terrified the whole time
Not by people getting name changes, no, but I'm not so sure about people registering.
this and also you're alexander and i'm alexandra how did this happen I'm too paranoid about Stardust getting stolen to change it lol and I will never change my name to anything involving whales anyway
cartoon logic
19 Will be 20 on December 9~
Uhh, that's not really a question I can answer; it gets into specific reasons why people were banned etc. I would peg it mostly as a coincidence...
Hey guys, sorry this is going pretty slow; I'm also dealing with classes so it takes me a bit more time to get to updating things than it would midsummer. I'll run through the list, make sure who has and hasn't confirmed, and get your song choices up in the OP within the next few days (you are free to begin your part if you've chosen & declared your song choice, but please run through the previous posts and make sure your song is not a duplicate of someone else's beforehand!). One minute is the limit on parts and it will not be pushed up this year, apologies. In the meantime, if you've changed your name since signing up, it would reaaaally help me when I update the list if you could quickly edit the name you signed up with into your post for reference. Not mandatory, it would just greatly expedite that process haha. Thanks. That's okay! If you can't do some of the more technical things with your software (Ex. frame rate adjustment), then don't worry, it can be done when the MEP is compiled. We completely understand that not everyone is working with the same software. It's perfectly fine to use a cover, as well. Right, your entire part needs to be 1 minute at the most -- it may be shorter if you wish, but no longer. As for the two seconds, you would be correct, no audio or video there please.
Haha true enough.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that I've talked to the others & the 1:05 MEP part is a no go, sorry. The MEP is going to be pretty long as it...
RULES | PRODUCTION STUDIO [First and foremost, always follow our main site rules & policies]. Hey guys! Welcome to the production studio. As the title implies, this section is a place for people to post their own audio and video creations. However, please keep in mind that as with all other sections, there are certain criteria for what fits here. Before you get posting, we ask that you understand this criteria, as detailed below. What this section is for: Music Videos - AMVs, GMVs, MEPs, etc. There are no restrictions in terms of the source of your clips, as long as they are appropriate for the site. Completed Video Fandubs Animated/Flash videos Commentaries & Let's Plays, etc. Music & Podcasts: Anything that you have created yourself What this section is not for: Code Demonstration Videos: please put these in the Video Showcase section! Fandub Casting: Feel free to post your completed fandubs, however we have another section dedicated to casting right here! Regarding how content is posted... The more detailed you are, the better. For the sake of critique, it is in your best interest to provide as much information as you can about the audio/video you're posting! There are no requirements for this strictly speaking, but including things like the type of video (AMV, MEP, Fandub, etc.), the people involved, the music used, etc. can only help where feedback is concerned. What about posting feedback? One of the primary reasons people post their video projects here is for feedback and critique, as it can be a great way to get advice that can improve one's editing skill! As such, it is highly encouraged to post feedback on videos here, but there are of course some things to keep in mind when you do so: Be detailed. This doesn't mean being verbose so much as it means simply not to spam. Don't be afraid to be honest -- that's what this section is for! Please give a response beyond a one or two word answer, and detail what you may or may not have liked about the video. Remember, praise can be detailed as well as critique. Off-topic and non-contributive posts will be deleted. Be constructive. Critique should be honest, not harsh. Don't pepper responses with unnecessary antagonism, even if you disliked the video. As with everywhere else on the site, we ask that replies be polite and civil -- being informative, rather than insulting, is key. The goal of critique, after all, is to help the recipient improve -- not to discourage them! (Side note: Approval or disapproval of someone's song choice is not critique! You may express this, but do so politely and only do so alongside constructive criticism of the editing.) To those who post videos: accept feedback graciously. "I wasn't asking for feedback" is not an acceptable excuse or response, as this section is for the express purpose of receiving it (tip: if you just want to get your video some exposure, try our Video Portal!). Constructive criticism is being posted with your best interest in mind, so don't be angry when you receive it -- use it to improve. Angered responses and excuses to critique are liable to be deleted. Additionally, while you are welcome to thank someone for their feedback, please don't simply post a thank you if you have nothing else to add -- do that via a Private Conversation! "I think someone is breaking the rules. What should I do?" First and foremost: do not step in yourself. While the staff appreciates your good intentions, trying to handle it on your own can potentially aggravate the situation, which is the last thing we want! Some examples of rule-breaking in this section include, but are not limited to: - Advertising one's video in someone else's thread; - Insulting criticism and/or arguments sparked by critique; - Posts that are not feedback or simply reiterate feedback that has already been provided; - Posting anything with inappropriate material; - Posting something that belongs in another section; - Etc. If you see any of these behaviors (or any others that you feel may be breaking these or the main site rules) or if you have any questions, please contact someone on our staff team. We're here to help! And with all that said, happy posting! - The KH-Vids.net Staff
Sorry, that one minute limit was already bumped up from the initial 45 seconds we started with last year I believe, so anything longer probably...
Of September? Probably available, depends on my roommate. If needed I bet I can find somewhere quiet and use my iPad, only issue would be if the...
ooo so excited to see this thread I like The Protomen a lot but their music is pretty intense imo, and a lot of their songs have to grow on me as a result. For example's sake, The Sons of Fate is a great track, but gat dang is it long, and those speaking and crowd-chant parts are so heavy that I don't find it easy to just listen to in the background or something, you know? I've gotta be in the right mindset to take all that in and give it my undivided attention. Or something. Haha. I don't think I'm explaining myself very well. Off the top of my head, Light Up The Night, Unrest in the House of Light and The Hounds are all particular favorites of mine. I feel bad, but I've never actually sat down and listened to the entirety of the opera so far in order. That Act III song (Hold Back the Night) they've been promoting is pretty rad too. Can't wait. And their covers tend to be great as well; the Queen album of course and I'm also partial to this track.
Sounds cool! Use whatever song you want haha. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. College is sucking up all my free time :'|
c':
incredible also oops I don't drive to school c': parking here is apparently awful too so I guess I dodged a bullet
Okay first of all this should never, ever happen, I mean holy hell. That's outrageous. Don't go back. That aside -- you're certain it was from this particular garage? They may have researched your mother (ex. on the internet) and gotten a hold of your e-mail too maybe? Or (doubtful because this business sounds highly unprofessional) they may have had contacts with that info. Just as a relevant example, I have never had a Facebook (so they shouldn't have my e-mail address) but my mother did, and somewhere along the line Facebook started repeatedly e-mailing me asking if I knew people and to sign up -- people I really do know, and in some cases my mother knows. It's creepy, but I think information like that is decently easy to find through researching associates or having the right contacts. I suspect that the e-mails are pretty harmless themselves as long as you don't reply with any information they're asking for, if any. I would mark them as junk and/or block the address. If there's a way to unsubscribe per se, try that too.
I have been COMPLETELY over the moon about this ever since it was announced you don't even know Arguably the whole thing's a little bittersweet because... Well none of the lore or characters can be the same obviously, but the spirit is still there. I am so excited. I'm definitely going to back this if I'm able. The wait's gonna suck though. 2015 ;~; But I'm all for a long wait if it results in an awesome product.
