From what I've seen putting more money into your graphics card more so than your cpu tends to be better in terms of price:performance (for gaming). That being said, if whomever is reading this likes to do more cpu demanding things like video editing then a better cpu would be best. That being said I do agree that going with an i7 in this particular case would be best.
After Year of the Black Rainbow (which was a fantastic album) I stopped listening to Coheed and Cambria as much as I used to but after hearing this song from them recently, I am hooked once again. These guys are brilliant, even more so live. Easily making their way back to my top three bands of all time, no doubt.
I agree with most of the things here, however future proofing is just downright impossible depending on what you want to do. I've seen people dump tons of money in a gaming rig only to play a handful of games that don't even require that much power, and on the opposite end I have also seen people try to play games at certain resolutions, settings, etc, and wonder why they aren't getting the results that they want. If you really want to attempt (notice how I said attempt) to future proof your system then save your money until you have a lot more as a more rounded out build will serve you much better. I also recommend not skimping out on the whole keyboard and mouse thing. I can't remember the last time I used a bluetooth mouse or keyboard. That is only the case because once you switch to something that is of a higher quality, you will never ever want to go back. In my eyes saving a while longer to get a mechanical keyboard and higher quality mouse will bring you more joy than spending 300 more dollars for three more frames per second. I could go on but instead of mindlessly rambling on without knowing if you give a rat's ashe about my opinion, I will stop for now. If you want me to continue feel free to PM me or reply here. I can give you as much information as I possibly can. I've been building an messing around with computers for ages now. (my build is fugging ridiculous though, so don't listen to my actions, just my words) If you are curious however, here is a link to my build list and some pics I posted when I built it.
Nate you could have just pm'd me this, I don't want everyone seeing it...
I've seen both 'sides' get more than their fair share of flak from both the media and people in general.
Just finished watching Birdman. That movie was so weird...
Well I know for sure that there are far greater (no offense, damn that can sound really mean if spoken a certain way) things for you out there. You have my best wishes and thanks for all the years of work you put in. Take care man.
I'd only ever suggest trying to 100% a game (that is actually challenging to 100%) if you have a very large amount of free time. It makes the whole experience that much more worth it, but as mentioned before it is very foolish to attempt when busy. Thus my lack of serious gaming as of late lol
I'll have to think about a good suggestion, as I think the spoilercast format is a great idea. Also the youtube thing would be pretty sweet.
Not even 30 seconds in and I love the idea. Looking forward to listening to this while procrastinating my homework.
I usually like to play on the highest difficulty I can, especially due to the fact that I put so many hours (kh2 specifically) on these games. It is nice to have a longer more intense battle that you might not actually win. It is also way more fulfilling when you put in the effort to win. I don't want to play something that is so easy that I am pretty much watching a movie at that point (minus the relaxation).
Walt
That would be one good example
...fine then that better?
Games that end in '3'
I'm so happy that you guys always fuel my eternal sadness.
Can't be any worse than the town I live in. We don't even have a gas station. Lol
Just as planned
So is that a no for the whole snowman thing? That's fine, I'll just make one by myself ;_;
