"Yup, yup," Vecked muttered. Niles stood and stretched while the air locks opened, "Hopefully theres a hotel nearby," Niles muttered. "I mean, this place isn't even a town, where we landed. Its a village in the middle of nowhere. Why did you want to come here again, Vecked?" "I told you already," Vecked replied as the doors opened. Outside stood Saak, behind a good seven or eight dozen light users clad in gold armor. Behind them stood most of the people who attended the meeting. "Well, the Skypit expedition army is ready," Saak said. "We were waiting for your ship to arrive, UO." *** Cotaxus' communicator began to vibrate. He flipped the speak button on. "What's up, HQ?" Cotaxus asked. "Supreme Captain, sir!" A voice yelled. "The mainframe has been hacked, hijacked! We think it was a secretary, level 2 or 3!" "What?!" Cotaxus yelled, "Hack it back!" "Its our main computer, sir! We can't overpower it easily. And the hacker's heavily protected the override system!"
"Lexx is just a mission secretary, Pharell," Cotaxus muttered, lighting up a cigar. "I heard he was with the, uh, fourth team now. You know, Captain Revolvo, Captain Anarus, and Captain Talos... those idiots. I've heard he's constantly angry but other then that he's harmless. Hell, I'd be angry too if I once controlled all of Sora and then got demoted to secretary... heh, what an idiot..." *** The ship went down... OOC: Yeah, well I wouldn't say Lexx is that bad a guy. He wanted a position which he actually couldn't handle, being Hairis. And there was no way in hell some twenty-something year old college graduate in the public service department could become Hairis, so he tried illegal ways to get this position. And eventually he got it, kinda. And he couldn't handle it. Thus the economic disaster that was the Six Sora System. Lexx was just a guy who wanted too much, he wasn't necessarily evil... well, alright, maybe he was a little. But don't worry, by the end of the session Lexx will become a much more heroic character.
"Kanata! Dead ahead!" Niles yelled, interrupting Vecked who was about to respond. "Hold on tight, crew!" Niles said, "We're about to go down! Into the gravity field!" *** Lexx walked out of the U.P.A. Mainframe room, his hands in his pockets. He was preparing to make his move, to get his revenge...
"I know..." Vecked smiled, "I'm not completely sure where we fit into this warless world but still..."
"This alliance is based on the Virus. Thats the promise every system involved in the U.O. was given," Vecked muttered. "If the Virus suddenly disappears, then what. They won't randomly rage war, you know how bad that looks? You know how much money that cost? The Brotherhood might try something, but if they do the rest of the U.O. will attack them. It'll show that the truce is for real, attacking a traitor. The Brotherhood might take over a few worlds in Ulfire and Sora but they'll soon be defeated. Then it'll happy world and happy thoughts until Sora's got their culture back. Then, Ulfire or whoever pisses' them off, war starts. The good thing is that the next Sora war is years away..." Vecked sighed, "But... do we really want to ruin the U.O.? I don't know if you've noticed, but Sora is broke as hell. Without this Alliance they will loose all culture, just wasting money in defensive military, afraid of an invasion. And an invasion will probably happen, either from Ulfire or the Dark Worlds... its the joint goal of the Virus thats keeping everyone safe..."
Vecked glanced up, "Well thats good for you, Wing. And honestly, Xane. I think you and your girl will be fine. You might have to pay the U.P.A. back with service but if your willing to do that you'll be alright. Wing's got his plans, I'm sure Xardius has got his... or maybe not..." Vecked sighed, "You all wanna know why we are going to Kanata? Yes its our regroup spot but we could of chosen any free world to do that on. The real reason is... well, you all know my history, right? How I was a Prince of Kingdom Hearts, you remember? Before I remember I was taken away from that world, somehow... and brought into this one. I thought I figured my future out but apparently theres a part I didn't know about. According to my sources, a graveyard in Kanata can show me that part... figure I should do it now before I die. Especially when I might die so soon... so, yeah." Vecked stood up, "I'm going to the back of the ship, seeing if theres any drink in the freezer..."
Vecked glanced up, "No... I really don't think its a good idea. I spent the last half a year studying this thing. Mixing it with a powerhouse like yourself is a very bad idea, Xardius... the Virus is powerful enough to break free from its cage, unless a man who's felt it weak holds it again... a quote from the Virus transcriptions meeting on April first of last year. It needs to be Wing..." The whole ship was looking at Vecked, who had gone on a mini rant about a small detail. "It really needs to be Wing," Vecked said, shifting in his seat. "And as for the future thing... lets just say I have plans," Vecked muttered, "The rest of you can plan things out in the forty to fifty years of prison time you'll have. That or nothing. That or a bullet in the head and an electric helmet..." *** Lexx looked out his apartment window. Out at Destiny City. It was late. There was a blackout. Lexx knew it would only last a second. He enjoyed the darkness. He could see the stars. The Kingdom of Sumer could even be seen. Lexx sighed as the stars dimmed. The lights of the city flickered back to life. “I want it back,” Lexx whispered into his empty bear bottle. “I’ll get it back…”
"Oh god no, were not going..." Vecked replied. "Not right away. I'm sending a large group, led by Light users, into Kingdom Hearts. Theres an abandoned city beside the Skypit. When they are there someone in that group will set up a teleporter. We have the Virus in the Light worlds this whole time. Once we get the okay we head in, go to the Skypit, and finish our mission..."
"This isn't a war..." Cotaxus muttered back, defensively. "God damn people... ya see? They hate the Brotherhood. They want us to go to war! Oh no, war makes people die? Our people? Then we want peace! We give them peace. Richards is kicked out, Skinnar, the face of peace, is in... now we make huge progress! We avoid nuclear armageddon with Ulfire, make a peace alliance... We just try to justify peace by getting some power behind it, its a god damn war again!" Cotaxus sighed, "I'll see if Crapo can talk to him. Skinnar is more willing to talk with people not under his control... so, I'll tell Crapo to... to, uh, send the message..." Cotaxus sighed, "Well... at least we ain't losin' anything... not with this army behind us. The Universal Organization is unstoppable..."
"I never liked Highwind..." Vecked muttered, "And I doubt its safe with him. Wing had trouble staying in control of it. It can take over your mind... is Highwinds mind stronger than Wings? I don't think so... is he meeting us on Kanata?"
Vecked glanced at Xardius, before turning to the rest of the group. "Who's got the Virus now? Do they have it in one of those orbs? Is it secure?"
"You apologize for what?" Vecked asked.
Vecked looked up at Xardius, "Whats your problem? Whats with the face?"
"Eight minutes," Niles replied. He was swerving around in his co-pilot chair. "So your brothers pretty insane, eh Niles?" Vecked said to Niles. Niles smiled back, "Calm down Vecked... your not the picture image of a brother yourself..."
Vecked glanced at Xardius, before looking back down. "Guys... I have a plan, about the Virus. The Skypit's in Kingdom Hearts. The Dark Side. Its space temperatures out there, we go we all die. Not even a space suit could protect us... so I'm thinking, what if we gather Light User's? Send Saak's meeting group in, with the Light Users protecting them from the cold and the darkness. They go in, set up a teleporter near the Skypit. We go in, from the Light worlds, and end this thing... what do you guys think?"
Vecked glanced at Xane. "These calm the nerves, you idiot. If I didn't take these I couldn't even get a steady aim... and if I can't aim I die, I go straight to hell..."
"War isn't kind..." Vecked muttered, watching as his hand slowly calmed down. "The effects of it show. My trigger finger has itched like this for around four years now..." Vecked sighed, "Maybe I wasn't meant for this... the hell am I saying? No human is meant for this..." Vecked's hand began twitching again. "You wanna know something? You and your UO always talking about friendship, how your friends are the most important people and all this crap..." Vecked popped another pill. "I really don't like you guys, your precious little organization... all of you laughing, smiling, thinking you know each other so well... you don't even know each other. Can anyone describe Nulix? Other than the fact that he was a goofy guy who sucked in battle and only had decent aim? No... none of you can? You know he wanted to direct films, right? Up in Destiny Islands? He then decided that he wanted to be a business man first, cause the world isn't kind to artists... after he was rich, then he would make film..." Vecked sighed. "He was smart... the smarter of the two Princeton Brothers... god forgive me..." Vecked looked down. He was dizzy. The Pills, maybe. He was angry. There had been a feeling in him that he could run. But Cotaxus' words were true. The world was getting smaller and smaller. The U.O. had every system under lock. No one could hide them anymore. Even a drug gang like the Bronss was under the control of the U.O. This made Vecked angry. He was angry because he was afraid. Afraid that there was nowhere for him. Vecked closed his eyes, "I'm afraid to die." OOC: Sorry for Vecked's random emotional moment. I figure I need to segway an emotional character development situation before the craziness starts...
"I couldn't care less about the Brotherhood going down," Vecked replied, popping a few more pills. His hand was twitching, his heart was racing. "Our goal is for the Virus to go down. Let the Brotherhood do whatever it is they are doing, I don't care..."
"Well, unfortunately I can't face the greatest god damn army to date that easily," Vecked muttered, popping a pill in his mouth. "Are we being followed?"
