As I said, just about everything is getting worse. Or, at least, more repetitive. Very few new ideas are being developed, and when they do, they usually suck.

    Sora/Kairi
    Roxas/Namine
    Roxas/Xion (if it ever happens)

I'm a big fan of canon pairings.

I have never liked cosplay. It strikes me as an extremely shallow attempt to be someone else - someone who doesn't even exist, and who can do things no normal person can ever do. Want to impress me? Make full 3d renders of the actual characters doing things (Like we would see in the game/anime). Playing dress-up in costumes is for little girls and Halloween, IMO.

Eh, it's like all the good ideas have been used up in the 70+ years of cartooning, so the executives at the companies are just re-using once-good ideas. Hollywood is falling into the same trap. There are very few movies nowadays that are not a) based on the same premise as an earlier movie or b) blatant remakes of earlier movies *coughDayTheEarthStoodStill,ChroniclesOfNarniacough*

Eragon is very much the classic heroic epic. Yes, it seems ripped off, but only in the way that Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and virtually every other heroic story was ripped off - all were heavily based on ancient Greek concepts. Nevertheless, Paolini made Eragon enjoyable. Twilight.... Ugh.

Without spoiling anything... Totally worth it. I guarantee, you WILL be surprised. Multiple times.

I am now reading Heretics of Dune, and after that, Chapterhouse: Dune. Hoping to find the last 2 in the original series at the library.

To an extent, but we can never predict what path an animal will take. In that, we still have no idea how it works. We know WHY it works, and we know the base mechanics, and we can predict along what lines things are likely to evolve, but we don't know what started it all (although there have en experiments along that line, and there are several likely theories).

Belief doesn't have to be in the religious sense - you can believe in a theory, until it has been proven beyond a doubt (or accepted for so long that it becomes a law). While Evolution does have a HUGE body of evidence, it's not enough until it is repeatable and measurable.

Contrary to my usual MO, I'm NOT going to get too involved in this discussion, simply because I'm feeling kinda off my debatage skillz right now.

I believe in Evolution, wholeheartedly, unreservedly. There is just too much evidence available in favor of it. Hell, even now, in the Congo jungle, Chimpanzees have, in the last few years, developed a technique to modify sticks and logs, store them for later use, and use them in the future to bash open beehives to obtain a substance which has little real benefit to them - honey.

This is not an evolutionary advantage - it is a creative leap, brought on by an evolutionary change. Not only are they using tools, they are storing them - pure evidence of thought of an ill-defined future which, a few decades ago, there was no evidence of. This is evolution in action, people - animals, slowly but surely, gaining intelligence. I can see in a few centuries, if they live that long as a species, rudimentary stone tool use among chimps.

We can see it happen even faster in the evolution of penicillin-resistant tuberculosis and AIDS, both of which evolved in one human lifetime. Viruses and bacteria evolve phenomenally fast.

Whereas creationists (and to a lesser extent, Intelligent Design theorists - merely another breed of Creationists) say, almost exclusively, "God did it", without any supporting evidence or proof, claiming it all got washed away in some kind of universal flood.

Mine is ironic, if you've read the Silmarillion. Turin was a legendary hero who defied the first Dark Lord and slew the father of dragons. He, through an extremely complicated set of circumstances, wound up marrying his sister, who had no memory of pretty much anything. They both ended up dying before she had any children, though, so I chose the name (originally for Youtube) as kind of a joke about what their kid might have been like (If you knew me IRL, I'm kind of a freak/loser/loner/etc).

I do not believe I have ever made a thread in the Discussion Section. I have made threads in the Video Editing section, the Suggestions Forum, and the Graphic tutorials and Help forum, but never here. I do enjoy (maybe too much?) the debates, but I can never think of a worthy topic someone has not already brought up.

Richardson. Where do I know that name? I've never even heard of any Natasha Richardson, so where do I know that name? D*mnit, it's gonna bug me for the rest of the night, now.

On topic, that "brain rotation" sounds pretty painful. Definitely not the way I want to go. If she wasn't wearing a helmet, then... well, it's entirely likely.

Yea..., but... whatever. That post was pretty irrelevant for the Discussion Section. In the Spam Zone, it would pass.

I like that theory. I really do. Those sentences, right there, seem like the truest things I've ever heard about any religion. And, if they are true, then I don't need to change a thing!

My argument exactly. Thanks. If I could give rep to you, I would, but I haven't passed enough around yet, so consider this "ghost rep". You make a very good point.

Eh, it made me realize just how annoying most of them actually were *coughLittleMermaidcough*, and made me remember some of the better ones I had seen. It didn't really change my opinions on them, just dragged my opinions, both good and bad, back into the light.

The first one made me laugh like crazy, the second one makes me giggle now that I know what happens in the third (I have an appreciation for pre-irony (is that a term?)), and the third one sent chills up my spine at the opening scene and was pretty frikken epic throughout.

Well, it only really happens for me when I am semi-conscious - in that state between awake and asleep, when I still dream, but I know that I can open my eyes at any time and end it. It happens when I'm falling asleep, too, but I rarely remember much about it.

They are, but that's different; zoos are, among other things, tourist attractions, moneymakers for the cities they are in, and, animal researchers frequently go to zoos to observe the animals without actually having to go to say... Africa, or Asia to see them. Most zoos are perfectly legit. Some, of course, are in such bad shape that it's almost cruel to keep animals in them, but they generally don't last long.

First of all, calm down. Dreams have no meaning - they are just random impulses in our brains, trying to deal with issues and thoughts of the previous day/week/year/lifetime.

Every so often, about once a week, close to waking, I get dreams that I am semi-conscious for - like, I can control it and guide it, but I know I'm awake. The minute I open my eyes, the dream ends. Also, the minute I close my eyes in the dream, I can't open them again, and I see blackness and think until I open my eyes IRL. Everyone gets these dreams. There is no stopping it, and I personally wouldn't want to stop it. In these dreams, I can literally make myself do anything. It's fun.

If you can think in your dreams, try making yourself do something. Like, try to just... walk somewhere the dream wouldn't ordinarily take you. Then, once you can control it (once you get the knack of it, it's actually pretty easy, in my experience), just... roll with it. Do something you've always wanted to do IRL, but never got the guts to do. Just never think of the impossibility of it all.
