"Because back then they the wonder of the wilderness," said Palla, her eyes twinkling. "But out of all of the humans, Tor had a favorite. It was a she-child who was born on the great prairie and whose skin was red like an autumn leaf, for Tor had fashioned her from the red clay on the banks of the great river that circles the world.Whenever she looked into the girls eyes, Tor knew she loved her, for love enters through the eyes. She clothed her too in the pelt of the Herla, the red deer, to keep her warm and she fashioned a den in a mighty forest, made of trees where the girl would live."

"The humans admired the Varg as great hunters, and they would take their cubs and leave them in the forest to be suckled by a she-wolf, for they knew our milk would give them strength. The strength of a hunter.
In this way some of the wolves tended to human cubs, and for a time there was friendship between wolves and the two-feet.The stories say that the first mother, Va, herself had suckled a pair of human cubs, who grew into brave and strong fighters. They came to lead their pack , throwing up a forest of stone dens that were known throughout the world."

"Ah thats a good choice," she smiled.

    Khaz lay down beside Jordyn.

"It was after the beginning when Tor and Fenris brought light out of darkness. In the suns when they had first made Man, the humans in their cleverness had begun to spread across the face of the world and learned to control it with their hands and their strange tools. In those times the humans still worshiped Tor and Fenris, and treated the wolf with great respect. If a man killed a Varg, he would feel it as a great misfortune and even hold a special gathering where they would bury the wolf in the ground and water would flow from their eyes."

"Hurt a girl..no way,' he shook his head vigorously. "Hey mom, will you tell us a story?"

"Why don't we let the girl decide," said Palla as she lay down, making herself comfortable.

    ((here are your choices

Khaz reddened and stammered. "Yes, are you ok?I'm sorry I carried you like that but you wouldn't have lasted the winter by yourself in that field." He licked her back, nervously, wondering if that was what he was supposed to do.

Khaz cocked his head. His tongue was lolling out of his mouth, panting after the long walk carrying the pup. Altogether he had a humorous expression.

Palla came out of the shadows of the den. "Hello Khaz, how was your-" she stopped as she saw the young drappa pup. "Oh my, what, happened," she asked. Seeing that the cub was frightened, she padded over and licked her behind her ear. "It will be ok," she said soothingly.

He lunged at her and caught her by the scruff of her neck, where it wouldn't hurt her. "You're a pain,' he mumbled through a mouthful of fur. Though he was only a little taller than her, he managed to carry her back to the pack den. He dropped her on the stone floor and called out. "Mother!!"

Khaz sensed her fear, could almost taste it and he closed his jaws, signifying that he still didn't trust her but would kill her. He jumped off of her but kept a wary stance. "Come with me. The Dragga will want to know about this.

The second Khaz hit the pup he jumped up, a growl rising in his throat. He tore off after her. "Hey, wait," he barked. Finally getting irritated, he jumped and landed on top of her. They rolled and he was pinning her to the ground, teeth bared at her throat. "Who are you to come into our land without giving Tratto's Blessing?"

Khaz wandered off, he was careful to stay inside the pack boundaries. He padded through a stretch of woodland and came upon a meadow. He looked around and spotted a cool looking butterfly. Deciding, to chase it, he leapt forward only to be rewarded by crashing into another pup.

you are in and we can start^_^

Khaz yawned as he padded out of the den. The day was early and he was itching to do something. He wondered over to the small creek and bent to lap up some water. As he tasted the cool water, suddenly he gave a yelp and fell in. He stood up in the shallow water and growled. "Kipcha, stop doing that," he said angrily.

Kipcha rolled her eyes and flicked her tail. She drank some water out of the stream and turned back, padding away.

Khaz climbed out of the creek and lay down in the sun, trying to dry off.

X.X wow so many replies....ok well here is the next chapter

    CHAPTER 4

Sora just stood...facing the ocean, unable to do anything. He was shocked. Just when he and Riku had gotten back from a 3 year journey them would have to set out on another one.....and who knows how long this one would take.

Riku was handling it better but that was no small task. He gripped his chest. It seems that all I am is darkness, he thought bitterly. Shaking the thoughts off, he turned to face Sora.

"We need to leave the island...if those creatures are after us then they should follow when we leave," said Riku. He stared off at the ocean, eyes unfocused and his voice heavy with tiredness. He spoke in a way that one of his age shouldn't. A voice that had seen and heard more than his years should.

Sora just nodded numbly and turned. "I've found enough gummi pieces for two ships. I'll find out what these creatures are and you...."

"I will rid myself of this darkness once and for all,' said Riku, his voice didn't waver at all. They turned and walked back to the cave where Sora had put the ships, not intending to tell the girls what they were doing, or where they were going.

A few hours later the gummi ships were ready ad they got into each of them. As the powerful engines started up, the trees around them all but flattened. The ships rose up into the air and were gone. The pilots thought they had left their friends behind in safety. But did they?
