Yeah, that could be true. I've looked into it, and I think I had an ulcer somewhere, you know there is mucus in your stomach that protects it from the acid, well there wasn't enough and the acid burned a hole and I was bleeding, so I coughed it up. That, in my eyes, is a terrible thing.
