I say it's the DS screen making him look different.
English, dude, English... All kidding aside, yea, words can cause a HUGE amount of mental anguish and in some cases, physical harm (depression can actually affect your health, decrease appetite, and cause numerous other effects)
Successful troll is, unfortunately, successful. You probably know this, but the SATs/ACTs are NOT measured in percents, but in POINTS, just like every other standardized test you took since about 5th grade.
Excuse me, there is no need for this. Don't belittle people just because you prefer to fight things out. I have met some people who can flay you alive with words quite easily, especially if they know you well. If someone knows enough about you, they can degrade you and play on your insecurities and fears like a demented puppet master. It happened to me all through elementary school and until I decided to shut myself off from the world in middle school. All a person needs to know is what annoys you and what makes you feel bad.
OK, first off, if this is about the damage you caused, think about this: it could be a LOT worse. I have totalled 3 cars - 2 of my own, and the second time, I totalled someone elses car when they hit me (I was at fault cause I was turning left). The first time, I failed to stop at a red light (never read directions while driving), and hit a pickup and totalled my car. If the pickup had been riding lower, or my car higher, there would have been injuries. The second time, in heavy fog, I tried to turn left, and a car t-boned me. If I had been going about a half-mile per hour faster, I would be dead right now. So, in the light of those, and the countless other accidents around the world, what you did is nothing. Just forget about it. If this is about how your mother was acting, consider: she was drinking pretty heavily at the party, right? She was probably so hung-over she couldn't remember her own name. It's probably nothing personal. The sound you made (talking) probably made her hang-over worse.
No. No, no, no, no, God, no! Do not change your entire lifestyle and become some vapid trent-slave just for one person! It's really not worth it! You will alienate more people than you impress! Be yourself, and eventually, someone will just click with you, and THAT is who you need, not some high-maintenence drama queen who ignores everyone who doesn't act a certain way. If a woman does not like who you ARE, don't become someone you're NOT for her. Stay who you are, and wait for someone who LIKES that.
I'm no good with helping with the people side of relationships (I'm 20 and never had a girlfriend), but I can tell you this - you sound like you're depressed. Whatever else you decide to do, I would say see a psychologist just to make sure you get to sleep at night.
I kinda hate Demyx, just cause he seemed too wimpy to actually be an enemy. He woulda been better off alone. And Luxord seems kinda old to play with cards, doesn't he? :D And that had to be the best scene in any of the KH games. For once, Square seemed to get the dramatic tension and timing right for maximum effect.
A date of August 31st just means a fall release. So it'll happen sometime between August and November. Still, a very nice date, as it means we'll get the game this year.
Yea, I'm kinda hooked on the Discussion forum, and trying to branch out to see what I can learn/find on other forums. I love to debate. Also, I...
Hey, yourself. What's up?
Look at the state of the world and at world history, and tell me if a loving God would ever condone all of that. Also look at the MASSIVE body of evidence for evolution and ask yourself how God could have created humans when it is quite obvious to anyone taking a history or anthropology degree that we evolved, around 6 million years ago. No, IMO, there is NO proof for a god, and TONS of proof for Atheism.
While I tend to believe that, in order to have a perfectly free society, people should be able to say whatever they want. To a large extent, this is true, at least in most democratic countries (USA, Britain, etc.). HOWEVER, because of the innate nature of the human psyche right now, people should not be allowed total and complete freedom. Certain types of speech and it's physical representation should be and are limited. If all people could be tolerant and respectful of others (and I think that is the main barrier to complete freedom), then yes, give it to them. However, at this point, the government needs to limit some things, like hate speech. Also, because of the conventions of our society, certain types of speech must be limited. For instance, the laws on profanity before certain times on certain TV channels (I think, where I am, it is not allowed to use certain profanities (f*ck, sexually explicit words, etc) before 9 o'clock on certain types of programs and channels (Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, for example) in the interests of guarding children), and all the various scandals regarding certain Superbowl halftimes (hint hint). While I understand all these laws, I like to follow a unique one personally: "If the thing I have to say has no relevance to the world, I will not say it." I don't know what you al might think, but that would seem to be almost an ideal rule of thumb regarding speech. Anything relevant and useful can be said. Anything useless should NOT be said. EDIT: I do tend to agree with your signature, and I believe it falls under my rule of thumb. It has relevance because it is another facet of the argument over Atheism/Theism.
That's because it's written towards pre-teens and the stereotypical, vapid "popular" kids with very few brain cells (note the word stereotypical - if this does not describe you, then it is not aimed at you). It's not written for people like you or I - people with intelligence.
Well, their's not really much you can do except experiment and watch other videos to find ideas.
It depends on the program you're using. For WMM, effects are usually (not always, but usually) used to hit beats. For instance, a fade in from white would be used on a drum beat. As in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xDpA3aBcuA at avout 1:40 - you'll see what I'm talking about. In Sony Vegas, since there is so much more you can do, effects can be used to enhance the visual elements (putting a character from one sene into another to make it work for the song's lyrics), or to alter colors, or any other number of things - as in this video: http://video.kh-vids.net/video/20910cf5-148b-4ff3-b291-9b9100eb79a4.htm All in all, though, effects are a personal choice regarding where and when to use them. I have seen very good videos with no effects whatsoever, and really good ones woth tons of effects, and absolutely sh*tty videos on both sides of the spectrum.
What Catch the Rain said. But if that doesn't work, then definitely get professional help. Remember, those of us here are not professionals. We can offer advice, but we can't do much else.
From what you told me, you seem like an overachiever and possibly enduring extreme stress. Now I don't know how important your basketball is to you, but if it were me, I would leave the team, because it is clearly interfering with your social and private life (not going to movies, not getting comletely ready or resting enough). Also, it seems to be interfering with your health. I would recommend either dropping the basketball, or any other extra-curricular activity (trust me, you can get into college without them, if that's what you're worried about), OR, you should go see a doctor, or a psychologist, or someone who specializes in time management and treating stress.
I really like the Eragon books... Can't wait for the fourth book, actually. This is the first time I actually had to wait for a book series to conclude.. I mostly discover stuff AFTER all the books have been written. On the subject of Twilight... All it seems to be to me is a badly-written effort to create a new pre-teen fantasy character. It succeeded BECAUSE is was badly writtemn - typical pre-teens can't appreciate TRULY good writing.
So... where do I put fonts? Which folder?
