The only advice I really have is to not interfere unless necessary, and have someone who knows about cat health on hand if possible, in case of problems.

"Rise from the sea" probably means "foreigner", since they didn't know the world was round, and a mast would appear first over the horizon, making it appear to 'rise'. The 7 and 10 were symbolic. Ive heard that they refer to countries, leaders, etc etc. And the bible states (although even THAT is not a source I'd cite) that Israel will be attacked from the North (And I think all the other directions, as well), meaning Russia as the only nation with a military ready to take Israel on (cause Israel's military is the best trained in the Old World).

Not that I believe in any of this, but I do have some insight into it.

Many Native American beliefs came straight from Mesoamerica (Mayans, Aztecs, Incans, etc), and if you look at the majority of their symbology and rituals and worldviews, they are very similar.

    Imagine:

Exactly! It all depends on how much you know/how intense it gets. If the kid is like 5 years old, and she starts beating him, then you know somethings wrong.

^Quote applicable - if something happens to the boy which should never happen (beating, etc), you know something is wrong.

Statistically speaking, it's still the safest form of travel, because of the intensive training commercial pilots go through (They even have psych evaluations to make sure they do well under pressure) and the rigorous testing that happens before a plane launches for the first time and after every crash (they test the whole line of planes (747s, etc) if one crashes). I still love to fly (probably because I don't get to that often).

And how would the ancient MAYANS, who lived hundreds of years BC, know this? No, all the theories about the end of the world are pretty much crap that can never happen within the laws of physics.

No, I do not believe you, and I will not live my life believing in something that is clearly beyond the walls of provable reality. If you want to, go ahead.

Yea, but most seniors in high school are 18 or near 18 too, and many college students are not inherently more mature than high school students (just more... committed, or serious) so why not allow it, within limits? No swearing at the teachers or in class time, but in your own time, swear all you want.

Yea, there is one of the theories I was saying. I was taught the way I mentioned, and of course, I no longer believe in any of it, seeing how riddled with inaccuracies, inconsistancies, and direct contradictions the bible is.

    Ouch. Pilot error?

I could almost see it as a hertless form of suicide - crash the plane into the ground to kill yourself. That's probably not what happened, but it just popped into my mind as a potential explanation.

Are you kidding? My mom would get pissy cause it would "interfere with my grades", my dad wouldn't understand (not a fan of video games), my younger brother would call me a freak, a nerd, and a ******, and my youngest wouldn't care - he's still too young to care. Pretty much the only people who know are on here, on Youtube, or my one friend IRL.

    no school!

Same here - massive snow overnight, so they cancelled all classes today (first time that's happened in 2 semesters here - our weather policy is not very flexible.) Back at my folks' house, they had ice and snow and are currently without power.

Well, complications are always possible, and if he stays in the hospital for too long (weeks or months), the odds go up. BUT! - Pneumonia has been treaded for generations, and we have been doing pneumonia operations for almost as long - these people know what they're doing. I would think the only thing your family has to worry about is the hospital bill.

Even though I am no longer Christian, I can probably shed some light on this.

Most authorities say that, before the Apocalypse begins, all the believers will be taken to heaven all at once, in what is called the Rapture. After that will come seven years of war, famine, death, and destruction, all ruled by a man who will be called the Antichrist, although most will never realize it. They say he can be recognized by his political moves before the Apocalypse begins - he will organize a peace treaty between the Palestinians and Israelis for seven years. He will also rebuild Solomon's Temple and unite the world under one leader - him.

After a certain amount of time, no one is quite sure how long, he will declare himself God and institute emperor worship. Anyone who refuses to "wear his mark" - most likely a sub-dermal (under the skin) credit card or other type of time-saving device that can identify you - will be executed. By the end of it all, 1/3 of life on earth will be dead, 1/3 of the stars will be blackened, a massive comet will fall to earth, poisoning most of the water, and 3/4 of the human population will be eradicated through a combination of famine, plague, and nuclear war.

After it is all over, Jesus will return, leading all the believers of history in a final battle (on this earth), wherein he will banish Satan for about 1000 years, and he will reign on a new, reborn planet.

The bible is filled with symbolic language, but that is the literal interpretation which I learned. There have been interpretations which say all of that was a metaphor for the Roman Empire, or a fictional story outlining the consequences of sin, etc etc. I personally don't believe a word of any of it, but there you go. Hope this helps.

OK, well, you sound depressed. For the loss of energy, try not eating anything after 6 PM. It works for me - I always have tons of energy now. For motivation, concentrate on what you want to do with your life, and remind yourself that unless you get good grades, you won't be able to get into college to do it. Immune-wise, vitamins, supplements, etc can work. I personally have a very strong immune system, and my folks attribute it to my diet - extremely balanced.

Also, do you seriously stay home from school with a cold? That's not gonna help your grades. Not to be rude, but when you have a cold, suck it up and go anyways. If you have like, the flu or something, then stay home until you are no longer contagious, of course.

Right now? I'm re-reding the first Ender trilogy - I'm on Shadow of the Hegemon. After that, I'll probably re-read the Inheritance cycle, or at least, the first three books.

I have never cried during either a book or a movie. If a movie is sad (and I mean, really, REALLY sad), it will sometimes make me feel sad or depressed, or make a lump form in my throat, but never cry. If a book is sad (really REALLY sad), I typically will put it down and think for a while, until the sadness passes. I don't like to cry. It makes me feel too vulnerable. I only do it when I have been genuinely hurt by something - like when my parents get all negative and tell me unless I buckle down some more (I already have about a 3.2 GPA - pretty good for me), I will never amount to anything. Then (and this is when I was at home), we would get into a shouting match, I would storm off, sometimes put a hole into my door or wall, and then, when I was alone, cry for a few minutes. Then I would get online until I forgot all about it.

Same. When I was living in Illinois and Missouri, we had fluoride in all the water - to this day, all they have found with my teeth is one (pre-existing) tiny air pocket in one tooth. The stuff is only harmful if you ingest a lot of it.

What child WANTS to eat an ENTIRE tube of toothpaste?? I never even wanted to use ANY as a child, and neither did any of my brothers!

This is hype, pure and simple. The US has been putting fluoride in water for generations, and nothing bad has ever happened because of it.

If a sequel is not done right, it can turn out to be incredibly stupid - look at the land before time series. What are they up to now? Like 20? However, some sequels have been done right - the Star Wars and Star Trek movies, for instance. Trilogies are pretty good (see POTC, The Matrix, etc), but they are kinda cliched. I mean, everyone and their mother does trilogies now. I would be very very happy if someone did a really well-made cycle (4 or 5 movies), or a duology (2 movies). Same goes for books. IF anyone has been reading and keeping up with the Inheritance cycle, you will know what I mean. It's going to be four books simply because the author has too much info to cram into three. He is not expanding the story, he is expanding the room the story takes.
