I would have to say Xemnas first (love teh lightsabers), then maybe Axel (again the weapon, and I am a slight pyromaniac), then Xigbar for the guns, then Marluxia for the scythe (seeing a pattern here? :D), then, if I can, Xion (for shame, leaving her out of the poll), if not, then whoever I randomly pick.

Well, the primary thing to remember is twofold: First, DONT STRESS OUT! Keep calm and trust that if you are even remotely smart, there will be a college that will accept you. Second, Don't slack off in your Senior year just because you're almost done. Colleges still look at it. In fact, they consider it VERY important.

Now, you should take the SATs/ACTs as soon as you feel ready, preferably before Senior year, so you don't haveto wait a semester to get into a college. I took mine at the end of Sophmore year.

Also, think about funding. Are your parents going to pay? Will they help? Are you eligible for any scholarships? There are scholarships for minorities, disabled, sports, academics, writing ability, almost anything you can think of has a scholarship.

Also, think about career path. You don't want to go to a college that doesn't offer what you want to do in life. I had only two options for college where I live, because only two colleges had Archaeology degrees. But remember, your degree is not set until you graduate College, so feel free to take other things as well.

Another thing to think about is Can you live on campus, and if not, can you get to campus? Also, check for drivng conditions/bus routes to important places (grocery stores, hospital (just in case), campus, etc) Also, are you mentally ready to live away from home? Can you keep your finances in check without maxing out all your credit cards? Can you remember to clean periodically so your room doesn't become bug-infested? Can you monitor your own schoolwork and keep on track? Can you get up in the morning easily?

Also, how easy is it to get a job at the town you go to? Remember, community college while living at home is an option in most places. I did it, got my Associates degree, then transferred to a state school with the degree and got out of all my core classes (english, math, etc).

And always remember - if you choose to get a degree in something you don't enjoy, you will be miserable for the rest of your life. Try, try your hardest, to go for your passion first, and only if that doesn't work, do somethingelse. Don't let your parents dictate your life. They can advise you, but they don't know you as well as you do yourself.

And above all, regardless of the wall o' text I just gave you, DON'T PANIC!!!! As long as you stay calm about it, and don't stress out your parents about it, you should be fine.

    Fanboys/girls...

I think that the Vexen death scene was the greatest scene in the entire franchise. For once, Square actually got the vocals, the cuts, and the dramatic effect just right for such a dramatic scene. The only thing comparable to it is Sora's death scene in KH1.

I neither hate nor like Axel, and I really don't care what he or anyone else does, because I'm not a fanboy who obsesses over pixel characters. If it is cool, I will be impressed, no matter who does what.

If ANY celebrities were perfect, the tabloids would be out of business. But I digress. I wholeheartedly agree.

Either this or learn to multitask like a machine. I can play Runescape, type on here, and read a book for class, and have the book done over a weekend.

Every schoolchild in America has done it at some point or another. It means NOTHING. All it is is another case of media and PC overreaction.

Thank you! I have said it before, and I'll say it again:

I refer you to my above statement. It's a JOKE. GET OVER IT. It's gonna happen. Every time some race is different from the majority, it WILL get parodied. As long as no harm is meant, I see no problem with it.

On reflection, what I wish more than to keep learning, is to return to my pre-high school weight () I weigh about 300 lbs now, and before I got into high school, I weighed about 100. I was a skinny little twig, and I loved it.

    Afterlife

I may not be a theist, but I do have a notion that we may go somewhere when we die. I have no effing CLUE where, maybe our mental processes have something to do with it, maybe parallel dimensions, heck, maybe we DO have something akin to a soul that survives us. Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure that no religion has gotten it right yet. Maybe they all have pieces of the answer, but none have the one answer. All in all, my notion is not based on a fear of death, hell, I don't even think about it much (either the afterlife OR death), and it's not really a belief since I'm not too sure about it myself. I would say it's based mostly on my Christian heritage more than anything, and the fact that the energy of our bodies have to go somewhere. And it is still very possible that I am completely wrong, and we just disappear when we die. I still have to look into it scientifically.

As far as I can tell, in BBS, except for the rare times when all the characters come together (I would say the beginning and the end), there are no parties. In all the gameplay footage and scans, it's always one person fighting alone. I mean, they are powerful enough that they don't need partners, having been genuinely trained by a Keyblade Master, and deemed powerful enough to hunt down a different master (unless MX turns out to be their master, which would suck).

I haven't seen many weird movies (curse my fear of bad movies), but I would have to say that Family Guy: Blue Harvest has got to be the most "WTF?" movie I've ever seen, because of the sheer idiocy of it. I loved Star Wars, but that... just... wow. That or one of the Dumb and Dumber movies, but I haven't seen those in over a decade, I think.

I don't watch many unknown movies because I fear it will be horrible, and then I will either have wasted a trip to the library, or wasted money buying or renting the thing.

    EDIT: Woot! 200 posts!

EXACTLY! The point I was making earlier is that no one gender was superior to another, but when it comes to individuals, it's quite clear that some people are better at things than others, depending on what you consider to be important. An athlete might think that anyone who doesn't have athletic talent is not as good as he is (especially if he is one of the vastly overpaid American professional athletes), but I, who cannot play any sport to save my life, think it is much better, in fact vastly superior, to be able to think and analyze. Artists tend to thing that inartistic people are not worth the time of day, etc etc. And of course there are the all-around talented people, sometimes called Renaissance Men, who seem to excel at whatever they try. They probably pity the rest of us who have to specialize. It's all subjective, depending on what you're good at or what you value above all else.

If I were there, I would have stood, cheered, and applauded. Well done. :woohoo: :D

I think that Political Correctness, before people get fed up with it, is going to stifle all creativity in America, and probably kill a great deal of scientific advancement. Personally, I'm gonna continue to say what I think, how I think it, without thinking "oh geez, is this gonna offend a tiny minority of the public?", as long as what I have to say meets my standards mentioned in my above post.

I say, if someone honestly wants to pay the money to keep those ads going, more power to them. I personally love them, and wish they would come to some of the large US cities, but I also think they are kinda useless, since anyone who believes in God is not going to listen to them (their beliefs are usually pretty solid and they tend to ignore contradictionary evidence) and anyone who desnt believe is going to say "Way to go" and go on with their lives.

If he was there, or they were wearing safety harnesses and in no real danger, then I cry overreaction on the part of the city. If, however, he was lying and they were not protected and were unattended, then, while the reaction was a little extreme (a fine would do), the cops still did the right thing by helping them.

This is a perfect example of why we should not try to tame animals that are not only wild, but are almost as intelligent as we are. The only reason dogs and cats are seen as pets is because they have been tamed over millennia (dogs were first tamed sometime after Humans left Africa and gained herding skills, around 10-20 thousand years ago, and cats were first tamed in Egypt, at least 8 thousand years ago, I believe).

Given a few hundred thousand years, assuming they survive that long, Chimpanzees could very well attain early human intelligence. And another million years or so, if conditions are right, they would be our equals. After all, it is threat, danger, and change that breeds evolution. They already learn how to use rudimentary tools to crack open nuts (they learn it from the mother), and have complex social groups. How would one of us feel if we were put in a diaper and paraded around a house as a pet?

And yes, it is quite likely that the chimp ripped apart it's victim. A fully grown wild chimp can easily send a heavyset man flying across a room. They use this to great effect hunting in the wild (when they eat meat, anyways - it doesn't happen too often - mostly territorial disputes (cannibalism occasionally, if the offending group doesn't leave) or when they are hungry enough).

It's potentially harmful to SOMEONE, and I bet you anything that the newspapers and shows in Australia, if you were to look at the sheer volume of news that has come out since they started, have a LOT more articles about celebrities than about those fires.

The problem is with the rich and famous, or rather, with our long-held fascination with them. It has been ingrained into our societies ever since the Medieval period, when the whims of a rich and powerful person - a lord or king - would literally decide the fate of thousands. Over time, people got used to being at first wary, and then curious as to what the rich would do, and eventually, as the rich got more and more petty, the tabloids picked it up (along with the whole yellow journalism thing - making up stories or causing them if there were none), and it just kinda snowballed.

I think, personally, we need all the major newspapers and tabloids gutted of their managing staff and replaced with people who care about real issues, real people, and real news. I'm not saying government takeovers or political agendas, but putting relevant issues foremost in the attentions of the world, like the AIDS epidemic in Africa +all the recurring famines there, all the various issues confronting Native Americans (government still not giving them their land, poverty, high alcohol and drug rates, high suicide rates, and the destruction of their culture - some tribes have lost their languages entirely), natural disasters such as the volcano that has a thread here, and the fires in Australia, wars worldwide, from Iraq to all the continuous brush fires that pop up in Africa, to the doings of the [possibly insane] rulers of Iran and North Korea, the countless victims of mostly unreported crimes like rape and domestic violence, the continuing scourge of cancer and the search for a cure, etc etc. It doesn't matter if a story was already done on the topic; if it is a genuinely important one, throw it in the publics faces over and over again until something has been done. The only celebrities worth talking about outside of dedicated channels (E!, for instance) are political leaders and, if we had any, philosophical leaders, like all the great philosophers of the ancient world - the great thinkers.

tl;dr: There are plenty of f*cked up things in the world without worrying about what one celebrity does to another. Get back to REAL news.
