obvious troll. How are you still on this site? Every post I have seen from you is pointless and only serves to get people mad at you. I'm genuinely surprised you haven't been banned yet.
If you're talking about asexual reproduction, then yes, it's incredibly rare, and practically unheard of in higher animals (fish, mammals, reptiles, birds, insects). Mostly, asexuality (word? Maybe not) is in bacteria and other microscopic life. There are certain species, probably the most famous being the frogs mentioned in Jurassic Park, that can change sex at need (not necessarily at will), so in those cases, there is even less of a distinction than in humans. And of course, in a great many ape species, they have sexual dimorphism, where the more "important" gender will be larger, sometimes significantly larger, than the lesser, mostly mes being larger than females. Any size differences in humans, as small as they are, are holdouts from our pre-human ancestry (All the Australopithecenes and some of the early Homo genuses (erectus, heidelbergensis) had dimorphism)
Why would you even sext in class anyway? You would think you would want to do it somewhere private so you can... enjoy it more. As long as you and the person in the picture are legal, of course.
Probably. But it might not be a bad one. I talk about everything I think out loud, even if there is no one around.
That's a class A statement/response thar! It's unfair to compare things that can never happen, barring some freakishly obscene genetic experimentation. If men cannot do something that women can (giving birth), then why compare the two? Men might actually be able to handle it better because of all the adrenaline coursing through our veins (it helps block pain).
I think the whole issue is skewed. No one HAS to be superior. The 2 genders are jsut different, and there are many people on both sides who, if they could not be seen, would be taken for the opposite gender (effeminate men and manly women). I personally refuse to see it as a contest, but as a partnership. If it wasn't for men, a lot of women wouldn't have been born. Both genders need each other.
Oh. Then I read his post wrong. I did not know that. Heh. Totally ignore my post, lol.
Same here, but when it was happening, I was like: "oh geez. Here we go. So this is when it happens.", kind of in an almost sad, ironic voice.
What will probably happen, if I read your post right, is KH3 will come out, probably on PS3, adn they will make a final mix of it, in Japanese, including in it Birth By Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Coded as PS2 games. Then, if we are very lucky, Japan will release the 3 extra games to the rest of the world, and the KH story will be complete and no new games will be made. EDIT: I read wrong. I did not fully understand the concept here. Disregard this post.:stupid:
Ok, so Britain did end it earlier. Oh well. What the African slavery was based on was spoils of war, not inherant race. In most slavery systems the slave is either captured in war and can eventually earn freedom for himself or his (her) children, or was a criminal who had to work off the sentance (or life, depending on the crime). European slavery was the first time (perhaps barring the Hebrew slavery in Egypt) that an entire race was thought of only as potential slaves because of some physical characteristic.
I never said you supported it either; I was making a joke. Britain kept slaves for much longer than America did, I believe. Just look at the movie "Amazing Grace" (not focused on the song, but on the British slave trade) They didn't feel that type of superiority. Every time they found a tribal group (America, Australia, Africa, etc), they would pity them and feel that it was their duty as British to "educate" and "civilize" the "poor savages", usually destroying their original cultures. Now, admittedly, they were not the only nation to do this. It was kind of a disease that had infected Europe at the time. Just look at Spain destroying the Aztecs, or Portugal getting into the slave trade, or the French missionaries sent to "civilize" the Canadian Indians. And kind of off-topic, but, although Roman monarchs were reduced to mostly gibbering madmen at the end, Rome did give us roads, some of which survive to this day and are the basis for several main European roads, the Arch, military formations, and, for better or worse, they did unite a large portion of the world and allowed great eras of learning to occur.
Exactly! So she's dying at 30. At least she GOT to 30. What about all the kids who are dying at 10? Or younger? Where are the stories on THEM?
I don't know if anyone else has already responded to this, but here goes: I, personally, will leave any Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Satanist, or whatever religious person alone, if they will do one thing: Leave ME alone. I don't particularly WANT to get calls at any time from Christian evangelists wanting me to *sarcasm*"accept Christ"*/sarcasm*. I want to be left to my Atheism in peace, just like they want to be left to God in peace, but when they start foisting THEIR religion on ME, I will start foisting MINE onto THEM. And of course, if the subject comes up in a debate, I will argue my point, just as they will argue theirs. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, depending on how pessimistic you are), we in the free world generally have separation of church and state, which means that no one can FORCE religious people to keep to themselves, or vice versa. Tl;dr: Just leave me alone, and you will be left alone. Enter a religious debate, though, and expect to have to defend your religion.
I wish, not to go back to my childhood, but to (and this will sound REALLY weird to some of you) stay in college forever, the way I'm living now. I have a sweet volunteer job in an Anthropology lab, I live on my own with no roommate, I have 4 classes a semester (not too many, not too few), my parents are paying for most of my education (for now), and I can get on the internet as long as I want, learning new things both online and in class, and having fun while I'm doing it. This, to me, is bliss.
Yea, I have that problem too, but it happens cause I live alone, and have no one to mull over ideas with. I'm kind of developing a secondary personality that, while it's not schizophrenia, it helps me find the flaws in my arguments. It's kind of like an inner voice that says "No, that's not right" "No, that's not it either". If I had a roommate, it would be him saying that, but since I don't, I pretty much have to talk to myself. I also talk to myself to flesh out fantasy storylines, but then I don't talk back. I know, I know, I'm kinda crazy. But I try to make sure that I'm not too crazy.
Ah. Ok, thank you. Learn something every day.
The British Empire started, funded, and perpetuated the slave trade earlier and for longer than any nation. That is enough of a reason for me to say no. But because I hate to leave it at that, here's some more things the British Empire was responsible for: Destruction of indigenous peoples (Africa, Australia, India, America - almost every tribe gone), depriving people of basic human rights in their own homeland (British rule of African areas, India, British/American relations), the idea that the British were somehow superior to those they were colonizing (SLAVERY, oppression etc). The ONLY thing they did well was wage war, and they even failed at THAT (American Revolution). Enough reasons for ya? :)
Yeah, I've never been fond of unneccesary information. Besides, then I don't have to worry about having my posts deleted for spam =]. And I have...
Agreed. 1000x agreed. I hate the hype that celebrities get just because they are "more talented" than "normal people". What makes them so much goddamn better than us? Seriously, news needs to get back to talking about things that actually affects the average person, not what one celebrity did to another. So like you said, CtR, talk about the thousands of abused women and (to a smaller extent) men in the USA, and focus on what we can do to help THEM, not celebrities.
I recently have to stop talking during classes. It's kinda weird, since I am in college, but I can't seem to help chiming into a debate, no matter if my opinion helps or not. I have been informed of this by several teachers and students.
