I've always wanted to be a concert pianist!
But thick as you are pay attention!
Aislinn sighed as Tron said he couldn't compete, it was unfortunate, but would explain why he had to bring all of them on board to do this. Her hands were still trembling slightly as the boy, Hikaru, if she remembered correctly, began to talk. "I won't make you guys do all the work. I will... I will try. I have to try. I can never be a keyblade master if I can't overcome my fears. I just wish... that it wasn't so sudden." She said shaking her head looking to the practice ring. "I think I need a moment to relax, you guys can practice and I will just have to get good at winging it." Aislinn said with half a smile as if she was trying to force herself to stay positive. "I won't fail you guys, I promise. I won't let this control me." She said at last before taking a step back, giving herself room to breath and calm down before the next tournament. 8/10
Once you find your center
Even in the distance, the angry cry of a dragon could be heard. Generally unless there was a battle or something happened, the dragons were not that loud. It wasn't that they couldn't be loud, the dragons just had no reason to be loud generally. When you heard ones cry like it was ringing through from the outskirts of the city as it was then there was something wrong with the dragon or there was somewhere angering it. In this case the small part of Shalendrea's mind knew what it was. She would recognize that dragon cry. While never that loud, that infuriated, it was still familiar. She had just murdered his pact partner the dragon was probably going crazy. She paused for a moment, looking at the dragon who had just launched into the air and flew in circles, eyeing the city. She feared the dragon might destroy part of the city in it's rage. She did not wish for that to happen, but it was out of her control, as she felt a tug on her mind driving her further towards the woods where Rethenth waited her. As she entered the woods Shalendrea paused again as she saw a figure moving through the woods. Normally she wouldn't care, it was safer to walk as if she was there on purpose, then to look nervous. Even if people knew that she was a servant, they generally wouldn't stop her if she looked like she was out doing an errand for her boss. But when she stopped and lingered, it could bring up questions. That being said, she couldn't help but linger this time. The figure that was moving not far from her had a great sword in hand. That was unusual to see outside city guards. If there were people in the woods they would usually be hunting, and a great sword was impractical for hunting. What was more strange than that however was the mans ears. The more Shale looked at him, the more she caught onto his heritage. He was an elf, and likely not a half elf like her. It was strange to see another elf, they weren't common outside the northern kingdom. "Shale what is taking you so long, get over here!" Rethenth demanded pulling on his control over her mind, but the spell had already started to wear off a little bit. Shalendrea didn't reply though as she watched the man wondering if he had noticed her yet. The dragon that was going insane did another circle around the forest, getting closer to the city. Shalendrea felt the pull again as she looked at the man. "Saesa karna ta stop." She whispered out loud looking at the elf. Elves were known for having excellent hearing, so while she spoke quietly Shale was pretty confident that he would hear her pleas. It was a losing battle against Rethenth's influence and she knew when she reached him there would be hell to pay, which scared her as much as anything else. She held her head as she tried to fight off the spell that was invading her mind still but as her hands trembled and dropped to her side, she knew she had lost. With one last glance at the man, her mind finally caved to the spell once more as it pulled her along, further into the woods even as trees cracked and fell as the dragon swept by using his claws to hit the trees, trying to topple them. Translator I am using for Shale: https://lingojam.com/TheTelQuessirOnlineTranslator Alex smiled as he heard the call of Hevnaar and took a couple steps back. With a running start he launched himself off the side of the tower and fell, landing on Hevnaar's back. "Great catch buddy. Thanks for coming to get me. Now off to the fire. I want to see what is going on there, maybe try and help people out. At this time it is unlikely that it was a kitchen fire that just grew out of control. Perhaps if I can catch the person who did this it will win be better standing." He went on about his goals to his dragon with a bit of a smile. He then turned his face ahead and looked at the billowing smoke. "So what do you think it is? A vengeful dragon? A street rat trying to find cover to steal? Maybe a intentional murder of someone by burning them in their sleep?" He mused as he thought of possibility. "Maybe not though. I mean the last one would be better to do closer to the middle of the night. The sun is coming up now, not everyone would even be in bed." Alex continued to talk as they flew. "Lets just circle above for a while. I want to see what is going on and who is leaving the area before we land." He instructed.
Mirela thought about what he was Aspire was saying, the consequences of being in the mind of a human to a construct like him. "I suppose you are right, you could lose your individuality, but it isn't like I am actually asking you to do it. I wouldn't ever actually enter the mind or the workings of a construct either, but it is interesting to imagine what it would be like? Perhaps that is just me though. I do have an interesting imagination as some people tell me. I was always seen as an odd one for that, but oh well. Odd just means I am more special, you know?" Mirela said as she moved around Aspire examining him still, not just his workings but making sure that she didn't miss a spot or anything. Then there was the conversation on meeting Vincent. She would love to meet his creator one day, but didn't want to put the pressure on the construct to make it happen. Instead she turned her attention towards the comments on Flicka. "I guess she was difficult to make. I spent a lot of time studying small birds like her, watching how they moved and how fast their wings went. It was the only way to get even close to making something workable. It took several tries though. I had actually started to build her when I was ten and just an apprentice. It took until a couple years before I finally got her working fully and still haven't perfected her. But what is perfection anyways? I don't think such a thing exists." Anything and everything could always be improved, it was just a matter of time and thinking outside the box, that is why she was always working to improve her own parts whenever she could, make them better even if it meant they sometimes got stuck in the process of making them better. It was all trial and error after all. Mirela was waving goodbye to Aspire before he turned around and faced her again for a moment asking about who her hero was anyways. She had to think for a moment before remembering her comment earlier. She had many heroes, so it took a moment before she realized which one he was talking about. "Oh, that would be Sir Mortimer Gallahowe. He is kind of a big thing around here, and he came into my shop today. You should have seen his augments. They were amazing." Mirela was practically swooning over how much of a masterpiece that just the augments he wore were. She could only imagine what else he might have been making.
Aaron examined the ship as it pulled up beside him, almost trying to decide if he was going to go through going with them willingly. Thinking through his options, it seem most would likely end with his death. While this too could lead to his death, at least he had a good feeling it wouldn't end right away, he would have more chances to hash out a plan to get himself out of the situation, or for Vec or Derrick to rescue him. While it was part of the witcher lifestyle that people died and went missing all the time, Aaron was not willing to believe he would be easily forgotten, at least he prayed that he wouldn't be. Looking up at the ship he started hoisting himself up, scaling the side until he reached the top and was able to pull himself over the rail. He didn't drop down to the ship deck quite yet though. Having swung his legs over the rail he then just sat on it, staring at his so called captor. "So what now?" He asked. A genuine question but said in a matter too casual for the situation. For Aaron it was the only way to keep himself level headed. Focusing on jokes and a light hearted nature, helped to keep him from panicking and letting his mind get clouded. Finally others decided to come aboard the ship, and Dayla gave them a sweet smile. It was probably best not to piss off the witchers, but she couldn't help but be a little sarcastic. "I am so glad you finally decided to grace us with your presence." She said turning and grabbing a few ropes. "I don't know much about sailing, but I am adaptable, I will figure it out." Looking up at the masts, she started using the rope and pulley system to lower the first sail. This of course meant that she couldn't use her bow yet, but at this point she would still be shooting blind. She was sure she would get her adrenaline fix shortly after when they came closer to the ships threatening her new home town. That was the plan at least.
Tinarah grabbed Chrono's hand just long enough to get to her feet. She might have been scared, but she wasn't a child, she wasn't going to hold onto her brothers hand the entire time. She could take care of herself to some extent, though she did hang in the background. "I wish we could wait... I wish Master Choma was here with us. Then maybe things would go better.... I mean he would have more influence, wouldn't he?" She asked her brother sticking close as she looked to the men as they spoke. There was something about their king being centuries old and Tinarah was confused. She understood other worlds could have other rules, but that just seemed strange to her. However then they spoke of the beauties of the city, that interested Tinarah a bit. She looked to Chrono, still not sure if she wanted to follow but still interested. "Do you think it is anything like home?" She asked quietly.
Aislinn turned to her partner as he asked what was wrong. She hesitated at first before deciding how to react. "I just... my parents, they were killed in a motor vehicle crash when I was eighteen. Since then I had refused to set foot in a vehicle. My town was small enough that I could bike everywhere. I guess.... I never got over that fear, I am sorry." Aislinn said bowing her head to her partner a bit. "I hope you can forgive me for my insolence. I don't mean to be a problem. If you... If you really need me I will try, but I would rather not." She admitted to him and anyone else who was listening. 5/10
Tinarah looked up as her brother approached her. He didn't seem to notice that she was hurt a little, part of the reason she wasn't actually hiding. "But... they threatened you. Are you sure they won't hurt us more?" She asked softly, curling in on herself as the agony in her side spiked slightly and she winced. She tried to hide it from Chrono though, she didn't want to worry her brother at all. At least with the spears put away, she felt comfortable enough to move her violin out from behind her back. She didn't want to lean on it too much when she didn't have to. It wasn't like it would break through the case, but it still made her nervous. On top of that it was not the most comfortable for her. Moving the violin onto her lap, she looked to Chrono once more. "Do we have to go with them? Shouldn't we wait for Master Choma or Atmos?" She asked him, not trusting these strange men. Even with her brother, she didn't feel totally safe still, the heartless didn't help that either. She was a little freaked out when they first appeared but when they hurt her, it was when she was ready to turn around and wait with the other master until she was well enough to keep going. It didn't thrill Tinarah to go forward on their own.
Cerdic sighed. He didn't seriously mean that they should be discussing who was leading, he just meant, who would make the first to move forward. But instead of moving, they got stuck talking about who the leader would actually be. At least in that time Mora got back to them and she was safe. Mora also had an idea on how to deal with Ria. "If you have an idea, then lets hear it. I mean you are one step ahead of us. As far as I know we don't have any proper plan in place. We could use what help we could guess. But we should probably get moving. We still have a member missing. We should probably backtrack and find Chrys before anything else. So lets walk and talk." Cerdic suggested starting to head back to where he last saw Chrys.
Tinarah will put her points into AP
Jebediah lead as Lucian followed behind as they were let into the wagon where the woman was being held. Right before they entered, Lucian fell into a swagger that he used when he wanted to piss people off and start a fight. Both hands rested on the pommels of his swords, his fingers twitching like he was desperate to draw them. Climbing into the wagon he looked at Lilian, then to Jebediah, then back to Lilian. "You know Jeb, it has been way too long since these babies have had a chance to shine. Do you think anyone would believe if I said she attacked me first?" He drawled with a lazy grin. Jebediah, who had his weapons away gave Lucian a disapproving look. "Woah now Lucian, you remember our orders. We won't have to find out what you can get away with, if she co-operates with us." Lucian let out a long huff, obviously not fond of the idea that Jebediah was suggesting. "Well you are no fun. What should I expect though, it is you after all." He said, not daring to make a move against Jebediah though. Leaning back against the far wall of the wagon, across from Lilian, Jebediah watched the woman for a second before talking once more. "Well we will see about your fun Lucian, won't we Miss Lilian? Now lets try saving your life, why did you attack the council?" He asked Lilian while Lucian lingered closer to her, still giving her the wicked grin which promised pain if she didn't speak, a pain that he looked forward to inflicting.
Finally being able to get off the light cycle, Aislinn took a few steps away from the track and faced the others, her eyes haunted. Tron was already encouraging them to practice again, and Aislinn shook her head. She couldn't keep her hands from shaking even though she usually tried to be the strong one. She didn't often show fear, didn't like showing fear too much. This time however it was getting too much. "I don't know... Tron could you ride in the next round? I don't know if I can. I don't think I can get back on one of those things. Please don't make me." She asked him, knowing they needed a full team but not knowing if she could be a part of that team. She looked at Kel, feeling bad. "I am sorry Kel, I just don't know... I can't do it." She insisted.
Yep totally my fault, all my evil plan to ruin you day. Yep that is what it is
I can start whenever
Aislinn barely got her composer together enough to round the corner and start on the last stretch. She glanced over at Kel then back to the road in front of her. The longer she was on the damn bike, the more her hands shook. "Almost there, just hold on a little longer." Aislinn encouraged Kel, but she more needed it herself. She just had to keep going, keep fighting. They were almost there. Rounding one more corner, Aislinn narrowly missed another bike. Her breath caught for a moment but she cleared her head and kept going. A little further, just a little further. 9/10
Haha too bad I am not an Alien, just a Aelin. Which is arguably better.
As she swung frantically, one of the students she had seen around when staying with Choma found her way over to her, asking if she was okay. No. She wanted to say no. She wanted to say no so badly, but she had to be strong. Instead of replying in the way she wished to, Tinarah just nodded her head slightly trying not to show her fear as she wildly swung at the next heartless that appeared around her. She was not the most graceful fighter, too driven by fear in order to properly deal with the situation at hand the way Choma had taught her. It would take a lot longer than Choma had to drill his lessons in her head enough to override her instincts. For a split second, Tinarah drew her attention away from the battle, to check that nothing had slipped past her, nothing had hurt the violin that she was trying so hard to protect. That precious second was all it took for the heartless to race at her. Two came after her from too directions, and by the time Tinarah noticed it was too late to protect himself. One followed by the other, knocking her off balance. Tinarah hit her butt and she scurried back towards the wall where her violin sat, pressing her back against the wall. She held her arms up tor protect herself, but when no more pain came, she peeked up to notice that all the heartless were gone. Tinarah didn't get up, didn't approach anyone, upset and hurt she was embarrassed and shaken enough to not want to get up. However she observed she was not the only one injured, glancing down at her keyblade and back up at one of the boys in the other group, she decided to try the spell that they learned before. Pointing her keyblade at Glyde she cast cure in his direction, wincing as her ribs ached with the movement. Still trying to catch her breath, Tinarah had not been paying much attention when something jumped down. Tinarah jumped but groaned a bit as pain shot through her ribs once more. Her heart thundered as she observed the masked men in front of them with weapons. Weapons that they were pointing with as they yelled something that Tinarah couldn't understand. Tinarah shifted so her violin case was mostly covered by her body, not wanting them to try and steal it from her. She couldn't lose her mothers violin, she wouldn't let that happen. She couldn't let that happen, it was all she had left. And still, Tinarah could barely be bothered to move or speak up, instead making herself as small as possible, hoping they wouldn't notice her behind all the other students.
Yes I am. I will get one of the staff to get you an invite since I am currently at work.
