Hm... Not bad, but I think we can build on it. What if we have smaller groups of people record segments of play and co-commentate with each other, then splice the footage and make a video out of it? ...ok nvm when I actually say that it sounds like a nightmare to organize :'D My ambition's getting ahead of me again. Diggin' your idea tho.
If this is actually in talks, I am 100% on board. I have all the necessary equipment and plenty of time to kill, and I was planning to start doing stuff like that anyway.
Writing is such a curious and whimsical thing. Many forms of art are more rigorous or demanding, but all it really takes to write is an idea and a place to jot it down. So where do your ideas come from? What do you draw upon for inspiration? And when you actually begin writing, what do you start with? An outline? Plot details? A description of the setting or characters? Or do you just start putting sentences on the page and see where it takes you? A lot of my ideas start with one particularly vivid character, usually inspired by an existing one (or several), and from there I extrapolate details of the plot and the world as I fill in their backstory, biography, and so on. They mold the world around them with their own hands, in a sense. I'm also prone to listening to a song or seeing a particularly gorgeous illustration, forming a scene around it in my head, then forming a narrative around that scene.
That's true, but at the same time someone who is hard-working and friendly could get bum tips from rude people. It's a bit of a mine field sometimes, so I understand the point behind communal tips as well. It depends what your needs are, I think, and demands flexibility.
I like Wisdom and Master forms, because they make magic viable (for like five seconds) and it's fun to skate around in Wisdom form. Though as far as usage goes, Valor is definitely the one I spend the most time with.
I feel like a simple Like would suffice there, as many people use it as a sort of thank-you already. Then again, we could always add an actual "Thank You."
...Fair point. And it aligns with my push for accountability; if people have to post to share comments, then there's no hiding what they have to say. Well, if Misty thinks we can handle it, I think we can handle it. And yeah, seeing as they're public there's more of a soft barrier on it than there was on rep.
Yoooo what Is this what Miyazaki's been working on? Looks like DkS with dinosaurs. (Not knockin' that, that sounds friggin' amazing)
oh god oh god oh god oh god oH GOD My thoughts are with the person who contracted it, and I sincerely hope it's able to be contained before it runs wild.
oh GOD. Unfortunately I helmed that project so it never went anywhere :'D But it can be discussed in other threads, wouldn't wanna detract from the main point here. So as to dilute the spam factor of this post, I thought I should mention I'm on board with all the positive ratings and I think they cover a wide spread of feedback. Also I just thought of a negative rating: "Rude." I daresay the use is self-explanatory.
AWWWW HERE IT GOES Solid start. Diggin' it. YEAH BABY. Excellent. This is unfortunate, but as it exists the ratings system is still a step up imo. I believe we should continue to keep an eye on the horizon here and see if a commentary add-on ever surfaces, because it is something I for one would appreciate. I like this idea a lot. I think there should be an inherent limit on it, if for no other reason than to encourage people to think hard about the ratings they give out. This I'm not so sure about, but I understand the wisdom behind it. Would greatly prefer the add-on though. I don't see a problem with this at all. People should be held accountable for the negative ratings they give out. If they can just anonymously downvote a post because it rubbed them the wrong way, it's more liable to get out of hand. We could use a few neutral ones, I think. Things that encourage the poster to improve, like "Room for Improvement." Or at least more constructive negative ones. Idk, I need to think on it more. This is a nice idea. Negative comments shouldn't linger in people's minds anyway, as that rarely serves a purpose. So those are my off-the-cuff impressions. Oh, and I like the bar best out of the formats. Nice and clean = w= E: Son of a b████ Amaury stole first comment
See, the only person who ever told us that is Ansem the Wise, and despite the name I don't see him as a reliable narrator. Simply put, he talked a lot of s██t. Not to mention he was in a dark place when he said most of it, given over to grief and anger at his own failings and driven by revenge and a misguided bid to "fix" his "mistakes." That's why Sora's little speech to Roxas in 3D hit me right in the gut; because, without hesitation, he validated them. He felt their pain and knew it was real, and not only did he extend his sympathy but he seemed ready to switch places. In light of that, I hope Roxas and Xion get more attention in KHIII.
YES Y E S THERE'S HOPE FOR MY "LUXORD DUCKED THE KILLING BLOW THEN FEIGNED DEATH TO ESCAPE" HYPOTHESIS YET Idk how much of a difference that makes, if Xehanort wants him on the squad it won't be hard to turn him. His motivations were never delved into so he's essentially a blank slate; he could even willingly join Xehanort for the fun of it.
Actually that's a pretty weak argument since it appeals to law. If you want to stop the crime, you assess the criminal; some of these boys absolutely deserve to be suspended or expelled, but others could get away with a stern lecture and a slap on the wrist. For chrissakes, some of them did nothing more than silly-string the halls. This aggressive agenda of punishment is doing nothing but compelling more people to commit crimes, because first off the pressure not to is exhausting, and second you get on the damn news for it.
Really? ...Really? :\ Whoever pissed on the floors went overboard but this is over the overboard. I mean you know what you're getting into with a senior prank, if you're caught in the act you get what you deserve, but this just seems pointlessly extreme. They won't learn anything from it, in fact a few of 'em probably got what they wanted in the fact it turned into a news article.
So, this hasn't been updated in some time. Spoiler: New characters: Bedman and Ramlethal Valentine I REALLY wanna play Ramlethal, she looks like the new Dizzy a bit.
I bought Nidhogg like a week after it released Still can't find anybody
OR IS IT? ok, DISCLAIMER BEFORE ANYONE BITES MY HEAD OFF: First off, tw rape culture talk for that link. Second, THAT IS NOT NECESSARILY WHAT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT HERE. Let me zoom in on the part I DO want to talk about: And there are references and ext. links all throughout that article, if anyone's interested in fact-checking for themselves of learning more. tl;dr comedy can pretty much brainwash you under the right circumstances. So maybe we should be more careful with it? What do y'all think? My first argument against this mentality is, similarly to the article, if someone takes issue with your joke then that's one less person who laughed at it; so it's not only a joke, it's an inferior one. You could do better. And the second is, well, we can't say these things cause negativity but if we're to follow this train of thought then it's absolutely a contributing factor. And I think anyone feeling reasonable will admit that. It's not the cause, but it does compound the problem. The issue is that conceding either one of those points—that it's not the cause for one side or that it contributes for the other—usually gets you yelled at, threatened, and called dirty names. You kinda get forced to pick a side, when neither side benefits from turning it into a war. So where do you stand? Are you firmly on a side, or do you see points from each camp? Or do you think they're all blathering idiots?
sighhhh ALL RIGHT HERE'S THE SKINNY. Only Cstar and Judge are receiving strikes, because they knew full well they weren't supposed to do what they did. The rest of you are off the hook. That said, I'm going to edit the rules a bit during night phase. Here's an abbreviated version: If you wanna talk after hammer or during the night (which you really really shouldn't anyway), just PLEASE don't talk directly about the game. PLEASE. I should've been clearer about this from the beginning, and that's why most of you are getting a pass—but this should serve as fair warning. Please do not post game talk after the time for game talk has passed. Oh btw Jeeks received a posthumous strike for saying a player looked like an asshole /cough NOW, ON WITH THE SHOW... HAMMER Jiku Neon - 6 (Princess ♥, skull joke, Bite the Dust, Marushi, Jayn, Jiku Neon) Princess ♥ - 3 (h y u g e, godhead, DigitalAtlas) . . . ba-bump . . . ba-bump . . . ba-bump . . . "...Heh." Jiku Neon's eyes cannot be seen, but suddenly her lips curl into a bitter smirk. "Shit. And we were doin' so good, too." She starts walking towards a thin table at the far end of the room, where the gun rests. "Never thought I'd get offed in a ratshit place like this..." Slowly, deliberately, she reaches for the gun. In a fit of panic, the rest of you rush towards her... "But you sons of bitches won't have the pleasure." ...but before you can reach her she turns, brings the barrel to her temple, and pulls the trigger. Jiku Neon has been lynched. She was Barcelona "Barry" Busto, acting capo and muscle-in-chief of the Salem clan. The boss ordered her to keep an eye on the soldiers tonight and make sure they didn't muck things up; guess she'll be watching from hell now. She was aligned with the Mafia, and had no special abilities. For a moment the rest of you are speechless. Jiku's maskless, lifeless face stares up at you, still smirking, inducing a strange mix of emotions. After a moment there is an audible, unified sigh. One of you throws up their arms and whoops excitedly. The lot of you dare to hope, for the first time in a week, that you might live to see another year. N I G H T • S I X Night ends Sunday, May 4th, 7:00 P.M. (GMT-5). Please refrain from posting until the next day begins (and, again, if you really must then just leave out the game talk).
It's not a recommendation, it's a rule. And no, it's not a good cause; part of the point of the game is sometimes losing the chance to talk. Everyone who posted after Jiku voted for herself has received a warning, which for one of you may be resulting in a replacement; I hope I won't have to restate my position on this. Now, give me a minute and I'll post the end of day.
